Beautiful, immaculate, modern hotel within historic building, conveniently located, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast in pristine restaurant. Wonderful find!

The rooms were a little dark with wooden panel floors. Plus the position for the connecting doors were poor as it blocked the front walkway. The breakfast was good in a very nice cafe. Staff were very friendly. Area is a little in the middle of nowhere. We were driving so its not too bad. Parking is VERY hard to find anywhere in Budapest!

Plazzo Zichy was amazing, the hotel was a beautiful mix of classic contemporary with Mordern finishing. The breakfast was amazing and the quality of the staff and service was out of this world. I would love to go back to Budapest and stay at Plazzo Zichy!

We really enjoyed our stay in Budapest. The service, location and people were all enjoyable. Located right out the front entrance is a small, beautiful catholic church. When we travel,l our first stop is to find a catholic church and attend mass. It was perfect for us to have a chuch so close by. The mass was in Hungarian, but i believe they have an english mass on Sat. I can't say enough about Hungarian people..very warm. The only little issue we had is the water pipes drain at different hrs. If you're a light sleeper you may want to request a room that doesn't have this issue. Otherwise we truly enjoyed out stay am Nd would highly recommend the hotel.

Once owned by the Zichy family and converted into a wonderful hotel. You must take a taxi as you would have to wheel your luggage over too many cobblestones. Great free breakfast. 10 minute walk to metro.

I find it hard to find anything negative about this beautiful, contemporary boutique hotel. Perhaps it is overdoing the energy saving a bit (rooms a bit dim and water just warm), but the excellent service more than makes up for it. A relative bargain.

We selected this hotel on the basis of the reviews and werent disappointed.

I am older and my only complaint is that the bed was too firm for my back! The decor is great, the bathroom is very nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious! I would recommend this hotel for anyone, especially young people!

We spent four nights at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I would strongly recommend this to anyone visiting Budapest. The room was lovely and very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. They breakfasts were plentiful and very tasty. It was a terrific experience.

If only all hotels could learn from Palazzo Zichy. It is a welcome oasis for a weary traveler. Reception is warm and facile with English, eager to help at all times. The rooms are well designed. Breakfast is extraordinary. The location is quiet and references to good local restaurants in easy walking distance are reliable.

I just returned from my 3day stay at this hotel. The service and decor of the hotel is simply impeccable. The hotel is situated in a very nice quiet neighborhood near the metro (Kalvin station). A couple of best restaurants in Budapest are near the hotel. The concierge knows where to direct you when you have questions about anything. The breakfast is superb. I will go back to this hotel without hesitation when I am back to Budapest.

The hotel itself is fabulous inside. Our room was completely adequate and the furnishings were nice. In fact, it seemed like a wonderful respite to the dirty, crowded streets we walked on to arrive at the hotel. So, although the hotel itself is on a relatively quiet street close to a park and church, if you plan to walk from the main train station to get there, expect crowds, lettered sidewalks, dog poop, etc. on your way. The hotel was a great escape from the city.

Fabulous hotel with amazing staff and service. The breakfasts were wholesome,delicious and with great variety (including prose co with breakfast! The rooms were recently renovated (including heated mirrors in the bathroom that don't fog up during a shower). There are black out curtains to ensure a long uninterrupted sleep. My only suggestion would be to improve the lighting in the room (the walls are covered with dark paint/wall paper). Our older eyes had some trouble adjusting!

This hotel should teach best practices to all other hotels of any size. This medium sized (80 room) gem has and does it all. Excellent location near Metro lines, tram line, restaurants, outdoor cafes, bars, music venues and the national museum. Stunnnig blend of the old world mansion it once was and modern design/technology. What sets it apart is the staff: friendly, welcoming and helpful at every turn. Not to mention a superb breakfast included with the room. Soaring ceilings. Free water, coffee and tea during the day. Free Internet access in a business center above the bar. Be sure to get the staff's help with airport transfers and dinner reservations. My wife and I are fortunate to travel the world frequently and we will return to Budapest again just to stay here and enjoy the neighborhood with the staff's expert assistance. Agree with other reviews that the nominal additional cost of a junior suite is well worth it for the extra space and location.

There is one thing that I noticed above all in the hotel. The hotel staff dooes not only smile at you in a professional way but in an honest and warm fashion. I've had several nice chats with the reception people. (Aks them who Mr. Zichy was.) Thus, it comes as no surprise they have won several Tripadvisor awards. Apart from that I liked the design style of the hotel a lot. Something else to be noted, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. they offer free coffee and mineral water.

A very classy, elegant hotel offering superb rooms and facilities at very reasonable prices. For me this is a must stay hotel in Budapest. It is a little walk from the city centre but for those not inclined to walk there is excellent public transport.

A great hotel - wonderful breakfast (included in the price). The only "downside" is it is a little bit ut of the way of the main sites, but still great value for money.

A beautiful place in a great location, room was outstanding, service was amazing - hotel was able to organise anything we wanted and their recommendations for restaurants, spa, tours, anything was based totally on our requirements. 3 days and 4 nights - we felt as relaxed and recharged as if we'd been there a week. Plus what a fantastic city!

What a great hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very modern and clean, the free breakfast buffet was great and the parking was free. One word of caution on the parking; I was driving a small Fiat Sedici 1.6L and had trouble squeezing through the entrance to the parking area. Parking is in a courtyard. If you are driving a bigger car than a compact, you may have trouble fitting through the parking entrance. We had a twin bed room with a stocked refrigerator. The prices of the goods were reasonable. The room was not cramped for two adults even though we had large suitcases. The safe in the room was enough to hold two laptops, one a 17” laptop!! Therefore, we didn’t have to worry about losing any valuables. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food: pre-made omelets, eggs sunny-side up, bacon, cheeses, meats, fruit, breads, cereals, yogurt, to name as much as I can remember; and a nice little coffee machine that made just about anything. The location is a little out of the way, though. We had to walk 2 – 4 blocks to find restaurants and pubs, and the subway entrance was about 4 blocks away. However, we didn’t mind the walk for the price and quality of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there the next time I go to Budapest.

I can not say anything bad about this Hotel, it was excellent from the beginning to the end. The breakfast was lovely, there is a room available from the morning until 5 p.m. with different kinds of free coffee, tea, available computers and international newspapers. The thing that impreses us the most was the level of service, it was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly, helpful and polite. The made it an unforgettable experience. We will most definitely return to this hotel when we visit Budapest next time.

hotel zichy has a beautiful remodeling of the building's old architecture. their internet was free, fast, and had no connection problems. breakfast was excellent and free. parking was free. the location is in the middle of sidewalk cafes and in walking or biking distance of all of central budapest

I stayed at Hotel Palazzo Zichy for business and overall had a great experience. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and you can access many popular places (restaurants, touristic attraction etc ...) by foot. The rooms are comfortable and with contemporary furniture. As I was upgraded to a junior suite, the room was large and had a separate dining area and working desk. Breakfast buffet was tasty and offered plenty of choice. Only downside is the apparent lack of a in-house restaurant. I would definitely recommend this Hotel

The hotel is very modern and clean. The staff is very helpful in all respects. The breakfast is very full and even includes fresh vegetables and fruits.

slept very well here - that's what a hotel is for!! very beautiful lobby with nice friendly staff for my taste the rooms are a bit dark and modern - even with lights on it's dark in the room! the breakfast was good! also all internet access was free and for as many devices you have with you!! but the best thing was the friendly smiles from the staff

We were very happy with our stay! The hotel and the room were very modern and clean. The service was fantastic, and the free breakfast was awesome :)

We just stayed in hotel palazzo zichy, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating, and the room was very comfortable. Every morning, the breakfast was delicious: fresh bread right out of the oven, fresh fruits and a wide variety of cold cuts and hot items. The hotel also provides complimentary water, snacks and coffee/espresso/tea every day until 5. The location is ideal: not exactly the center of town, but a short walk from everything and very quiet. Also nearby a street with many bars, cares and restaurants. Absolutely nothing negative to say! We'd highly reccommend it.

I've read good reviews about this hotel, but it was better than I expected. Great location, friendly and helpful staff and comfortable room. The bathroom has a wonderful rainforest shower and a heated mirror that won't fog up. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Also, free bottled water, coffee and tea at the bar until 5 every afternoon. A nice plus. All in all, well worth the money.

We booked this hotel because it's listed in the top 25 hotels to stay by Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed by the level of service and there is a definite air of luxury throughout. Hotel design is modern and classy - attention to details noted all round. Buffet breakfast is substantial offering a wide selection of quality produce - most impressed by their fresh fruit juicer.
