This is a failed condo project turned in to a hotel. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The service level was more what you would expect at a condo. In other words a very limited staff. Very modern decor, but not particularly comfortable. The safe did not work and the shower had only cold water.We also had problems with the door key. In short, this is a place without the services of a hotel and without the ameneties of a condo..

Employees waiting to serve and offer assistance when needed. They also recommended different excursions for us with different organizations which were friendly and safe for my wife and I. Cannot say enough about Javier and Paula which were ready to serve at a drop of a hat. Thank you again

We got this hotel as a group of 4 guys. Seeing as how it's quiet, nice, and the rooms are mostly focused around one bed, it's more of a couples hotel. The design/decor is really nice -- there's recessed lighting lining the ceilings of the rooms and the lounge + pool are quite modern. There's a more secluded beach a short walk away, but the main beaches will require a taxi ride. Taxis are pretty much the same price ($7-$8) whether you're going down the street or all the way to Quepos. Catching them on the street is a good way to get lower prices or to negotiate. Having them called always resulted in "fixed rates." My minor complaints would be that the main bed mattress was not very comfortable, the shower was awkward to get working and ran out of hot water the first day, and the location requires taxis (unless you want to walk up a steep, inclined, winding road without sidewalks). Overall, I'd still recommend this hotel, depending on what you're looking for. For couples, it's a good bet.

Unfortunately this hotel does not advertise itself as much as the others for some strange reason. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean, beautiful and very spacious. The meal we had one evening was incredible, best meal I had in Manuel Antonio. Also, it is a five minute walk to beisanz beach which is very handy!

Stylish, white, design rooms Estionian Girly (reception) was very nice and helpfull. Pro: bed and linen top quality. Waking up by monkeys in the garden. Quit neighbourhood (cul de sac) Min: Difficult to find, design breakfast is very small, extra's like eggs are very pricy.

High marks on style and friendliness of staff. Good location (if you have your own car) almost at the end off a side-street to the main road toward Manuel Antonio, close to a small beach. We encountered a number of (all minor) issues: - When we checked in, they thought the room was ready, turned out it wasn't. Instead of having us wait a few min (would have been no problem), they gave us another room, only to come back 10min later (after we had started unpacking) and offer us an "upgrade" to the original room. It was indeed a nicer/bigger room. I just don't understand why they didn't have us wait a few minutes instead of letting us settle into the wrong room. - There is wireless internet throughout the hotel, but the signal strength in our room was so weak that I only got a signal on my laptop when I was sitting in the hallway close to the entrance door - putting my laptop on the desk didn't work. - Water pressure in shower was inconsistent, sometimes good, sometimes poor. One morning as we were getting ready, there was no water at all for 15min, then it fortunately came back. - The big and stylish bathrooms could be more functional, for instance there were no stools or sufficient hooks close to the shower that would allow hanging towels or clothes. - The hotel rooms have no information booklets like you find in any other hotel. For any kind of information, we basically had to talk to the - very friendly - persons at the reception desk. - For breakfast, we sometimes got a napkin, sometimes not. Sometimes, the waiter remembered to come by and ask if we wanted a coffee or other refill, sometimes not. - The hotel was supposed to have a restaurant that served dinner (in the same area where breakfast is served), but there were no menus. We finally asked for one and they produced one from somewhere. Didn't look that interesting, so we never ate dinner or lunch there. - We spotted towels at the pool one day, but the next day (when we went) there were none. - Not

The decor is hip modern white with a back drop of nature and accents of blue to compliment the sea. The hotel is situated on a steep winding road not for the faint of heights and the road is really narrow not really ideal for two cars to pass on more less a bus and a car which happens. However, the hotel is worth the trip. You are greeted with a refreshing cocktail. The hotel feels large but they only have 18 rooms I was told so it is more of a boutique hotel. I ended up having dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights and each dish was excellent! I will definitely come back.

We have a very mixed review from our stay at the SUU. We have stayed at the Parador next door and loved it. Despite some negative reviews we stayed at the SUU because we wanted the promise of simple white Modern. We got simple white and modern but it fell short afterwards. Positives, the staff was friendly if not a bit without direction, the room was clean. Negatives, the room had very little space for storage and we felt as though we were camping and very quickly junked up our clean sparse room with suitcases and clothes, no place to sit on the computer or places to sit at all, the internet did not work in the hotel room, all the little cute toiletry boxes in the bathroom were empty, the new modern faucets were not attached properly and wobbled, we tripped on the floor rug over and over because of curling on the edges, there is almost no view of the water from the rooms but simply looking out into trees. There is not a Spa at the SUU. It is an unfinnished space without any sign of potentially being finnished. The restaurant was a disaster. 65 percent of the menu items include Sea Bass or Shrimp in the dishes and we were informed they had neither the night of our reservation. We ordered martinis and they were out of Vodka. We ordered red wine and were told there was not any in the restaurant. We did have some delivered from a local store (after a 40 minute delay). Our server claimed he was very embarrased by this situation. I can not recommend the SUU Hotel in its current state. I hope they can get it together but at this time the project appears to be underfunded and the staff untrained to run a boutique hotel. We will not be back.

We ended up staying at the Suu on a whim- our other logging plans did not work out. We were immediately greeted with cold towels and house made drinks upon arrival. The staff, which call themselves "butlers" go above and beyond to make hotel guests feel like royalty. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up booking an additional night. The view from hotel was beautiful, pool amazing, rooms are the best we've seen in Costa Rica- clean, spacious, amazing shower! The complimentary breakfast is also outstanding. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.

Located near a small - white sands beach- middle in between the tropical rainforest , near National Park San Antonio- The Service at the breakfast could be a bit more fast- but all in all - this Hotel is amazing, breathtaking view from the lobby, designer rooms everythin in white)., the swimming pool surrounded by giant trees is good for monkey watchin

The Hotel rooms and pool area are nice and clean. You feel like your in a upscale atmosphere. But the sevice was not good at all. We only had three options for breakfast and we didn't know what we were getting because they didn't have menus. When your paying as much as we did you should know what your getting and how much it cost! The bar was terrible. They didn't even have mint after I was offered a mojito. Instead of telling me this and having me order something else the bartender attempted to make something similar and gave it to me. When he gave it to me he was appoligising for the drink before I could even try it. It was TERRIBLE and it cost about $12! Another thing. When we arrived at 10pm the concier was on his way out and told us we were lucky because he was just about to leave and we would have been able to check in. After about 930pm there usually isn't any concier even though everything in the hotel doesnt close till 10pm. Shouldn't there be someone to assist you 24hrs in any hotel anyway? Then he continued to tell us that normally we would be greeted with drinks and fruit plates to welcome us but since it was about 10pm he had to take us staight to our room. We never recieved any complamentary drinks but they didn't mind charging me for a drink I did order or drink. They say they will be there to meet your every request and even have a letter in your room reminding you of this, but they failed to meet event the most basic request. I'm really not one to complain but the service was truely pathetic.

Stayed here originally for two nights but extended it to three. The rate we got was a bargain, and I'd come back to this hotel in a heartbeat. The place is spotless, the staff are charming, the food is great (the bacon at breakfast is a must-try), the pool area is beautiful...I can't say enough good stuff about this hotel. The perfect, relaxed base to explore beautiful Manuel Antonio. Don't come to Costa Rica expecting it to be like the US...it's not. Time is arbitrary, there are bugs and humidity (it's a jungle, in case you missed the memo), and the service culture is way more laid back. The people here are friendly (even the maintenance guys smile back at you), and they love sharing their beautiful country with you. Slap on some bug spray, order an umbrella drink and relax, because this place is gorgeous.

I will say that I've travelled the world and this Hotel is one of the finest I've ever stayed in. The Top 5. Before booking I've read the reviews of others and can't understand and don't agree with some references. The service is impeccable. The common areas are amazing. Staff members are so friend I ended up tipping every staff member that served me which I never ever practice doing. The rooms are great. Decorated with class and style. The bathrooms are so nice that I could have slept in there if a mattress was in it. I really love this place and I am going back specifically to stay at The Suu. I enjoyed my stay so,so much. Truly amazing.

The staff was very accommodating and polite and seemed eager to help my girlfriend and I in any way that they could. The hotel had a very posh Mediterranean style to it that was in stark contrast to the local forests/jungle that surrounded it. The WiFi was spotty at times in the lobby which was inconvenient and we did not get any signal in our room. The food was delicious though a bit on the pricier side. We were given breakfast every morning for free and only had to pay for either the French toast/pancakes. Overall I would welcome another opportunity to stay at the Suu and would recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

The staff was very nice and helpful- but they need more experience on the job. One person ended up doing several different jobs. A massage was ordered 2 days in a row and the masseuse never showed up. Little amenities stood out. We were greeted upon arrival with a cool cloth and a cool drink. Cold drinks were brought to you at the pool, without asking for them. The staff was extremely friendly.

The hotel is very comfortable, staff did a wonderful job, and the food was wonderful. Do need to take a taxi from the airport, town, beach, national park or just about to anywhere. Hotel is very helpful and arranges for a taxi when ever you need and at the time requested. Enjoy!

This hotel is one of several luxury hotels perched in the mountains above Quepos / Manuel Antonio. The road getting there is windy, barely wide enough for two cars (even though buses somehow take this road), and very steep, but most of the hotels in this area are on this same road, and you have to drive it to get to the national park regardless. once there- the hotel is luxurious. everything is white from the walls to the sheets to the furniture. the view from the restaurant / bar area looks out over the water through the rainforest. a pack of monkeys was travelling through the trees outside my room the first morning. food is nice, but expensive (far more expensive than most restaurants in the area). we stayed here a couple of nights, then tried some cheaper options in the area. suu manuel was the best, but also the priciest. its a few minutes walk to a barely public beach. i say barely because there's no parking, and it's not clearly marked, and you have to go through the woods to get to it and when we went there were maybe 15 people total on the whole thing. good stuff.

The SUU Manuel Antonio Hotel has nice energy. The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. Great choice in hotels if you have a rental car or don't mind calling for a taxi. A SUU hotel sign would be helpful to find the turnoff from the main road. The pre-arranged tours will pick you up at the hotel for a day of fun. The views of the rainforest from your hotel deck are breathtaking. Our deck also had a nice distant view of the ocean. A breakfast buffet or continental breakfast bar would be great. The chef is excellent. The maids were excellent and trustworthy. Classy hotel choice! You are sure to enjoy your stay in Manuel Antonio/Quepos with a reservation at the SUU Manuel Antonio Hotel.

Quiet and low key, the perfect place to come back to after an active day in Costa Rica. The people were friendly and always willing to help. The service is also low-key, but If you are high-maintenance this hotel is not for you, they are there when you want them and not when you don't, perfect.

Really clean and new. The location is great and walking distance to the beach. Service was excellent. The Peruvian chef made a delicious dinner. Nice lounge like beds near the pool. It's so new that the gym and spa are not yet open. It's really modern and beautiful...like the South Beach Miami hotels. Great bathroom/shower. LOVED this place. The only downside...mattress was a bit hard.

Do yourself a favor when visiting Manuel Antonio and stay at The Suu. Everything is beautiful and it's like staying at the Four Seasons or any luxury hotel around the world. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are luxurious and there is really no greater value or beauty to be found in the surrounding area. The hotel is beautiful and very clean and tasteful. The pool is a dream. I was greeted in the heat of the day with a glass of tea while swimming in the pool and another time with a smoothie! At night, I was brought a dessert to my room! I just felt like at every opportunity, the staff was making sure I felt attended to and special. That is how it should be and they do a great job. The hill is no big deal as long as you are not in ailing health. I like that it is completely away from all the noise of the town. It would be a terrible to stay on the main drag. It's a great place to stay if you have a car to get around. The only thing I would recommend is that they invest in a pillow top for the bed. If you like a firm bed, it's great. The beds are brand new, so I'm sure they will soften a bit with use. This place is the only place I would ever recommend staying in Costa Rica and I have stayed 30 different places over many trips there. I felt like royalty and it was the best 2 days ever! Go and have a wonderful vacation!

I have a very mixed review for this property. One room was perfect, but the second room we reserved had no ac for two days. They kept saying they were working on it. This block of rooms was not ready to be rented. Others were complaining when we arrived. There were no lamps, no fridge no clock radio in room. The hotel is fantastic and the staff was very helpful, but these rooms were not ready.The spa advertised was not open and the hot tub was not working. The food was great and the chef would try to meet all your requests. The hotel did reimburse our friends for the inconvenience, but being w/o ac for two days was horrible. When all the kinks are worked out, this hotel will be 5 star.

Check-in was efficient, and the Suu's staff is very nice and attentive. My standard room was fine (albeit a bit sparse, and somewhat small). Soon after my arrival, however, I began to notice several issues. Most importantly, the hotel is brand new and not fully-functional yet, and lacking many of the amenities which are promised on the website (e.g., no fitness center, jacuzzi not working, WiFi not working in the room, bar not built yet, no iPod docking stations, etc.). The staff went out of its way to welcome me and try to make me feel comfortable, under the circumstances, and I believe this will be a very nice hotel when they are fully operational. As of the time of my stay, however (October 2010), they are simply not ready for business yet.

Poor value for money! Expensive ! Beautiful design but without where to hang a towel, eithout space for clothes. Poor breakfast. There are much nicer places in the area.

Die Zimmer sind geschmackvol eingerichtet und ruhig gelegen. Wunderrschöne Aussicht vom Restaurant aus, wenig Betrieb, da die meisten Zimmer Appartement- Wohnungen sind.Das Essen ist hervorragend,nettes Personal, gehobene Preisklasse. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen, das Hotel ist ca. 3 km entfernt vom schönen Manuel Antonio Strand. Es hat einen Fussweg, oder Taxi nehmen.

sehr modernes, attraktives Hotel; Anbindung an Strand eher ungünstig; sehr gutes Restaurant;

El hotel está emplazado en un hermoso lugar, un poco alejado de la calle principal y su acceso solo es posible con coche- Tuvimos dificultades en encontrarlo pues no hay carteles que indiquen el camino y fue imposible darle instrucciones al GPS pues el hotel ahora se llama Pacific SUU, a pesar que todos lo conocen como Pacific Souss.

Bästa hotellet vi bott på! Underbart hotell i utkanten av Manuel Antonio. Personalen var engelsktalande och mycket trevlig och hjälpsam vad det gällde allt. De pysslar verkligen om sina gäster. Enda negativa var att när vi kom med bussen till Manuel Antonio så hade taxin vi tog svårt att hitta dit. Gissar att det beror på att namnet på hotellet som vi fick på bokningsbekräftelsen stämmer inte. Ska du dit ta med telefonnummer till hotellet för vägbeskrivning. Hotellets riktiga namn var "The Suu hotel" har jag för mig och när vi förstod det så var det inga problem för taxi chaufförer att hitta. Ligger Bland en hel del andra hotell runtomkring. God mat på flera av hotellen men vill man inte äta på något hotell måste man ta taxi. Få barnfamiljer när vi var där (lågsäsong) mest par i åldern 40+. Som par rekommenderar jag verkligen hotellet men är man ute efter fest och party har man hamnat fel.

The hotel was really nice and really close to the beach. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The food was great.

Tyylikäs boutique hotelli, jossa hyvä yksilöllinen palvelu. Hintaan sisältyvä mannermainen aamiainen hyvin niukka, mutta muuten ruoka todella hyvää. Alueeella liikuminen hankalaa, aina taksilla tai hankittava vuokra-auto.

Instalaciones muy bonita. Tiempo d espera para hacer check in 1 hora aproximadamente. Esto nos disgusto mucho ya que veniamos cansados del viaje.... A la hora de descansar por el viaje, se nos interrumpio dos veces por pequeñas bocas cortesia del hotel, se les agradece el detalle pero deben de pensar en el tiempo de descanso del cliente. Pero, no era el momento adecuado. El agua caliente no funciono, ademas al momento del ser check out se nos hizo esperar 40 minutos. Por lo que tambien salimos molesto.. Pero, en si son cositas que el hotel debe mejorar. Saludos.
