Ramada Manchester Salford Quay - سالفورد

It's a nice hotel if you need to be in Salford Quays, but the area is a bit of a ghost-town after dark. Room was fine if a little wamr and noisy, but cannot fault it otherwise.

I booked this hotel well in advance of our stay. I booked a twin room for my 10 year old son and I. Firstly we did not get a twin room,but more annoyingly we were given a room guests were allowed to smoke in.The carpet was not only very dirty but patched up.The bath had two hairs in (not mine).The soap dish was covered in green dried in soap not obvious until you laid down to relax in the bath,where I also noticed splashes of shower gel on the tiles.However the breakfast was brilliant the staff were helpful and the hotel was quiet.The tram link was also great from piccadilliy get the tram to eccles and get off at salford quays,turn round and the ramada was there.Great location to spend saturday afternoon doing the manchester united tour and museum,Sunday watching the match.Ramada also let you leave your luggage there and collect after the match.Would stay again but definately make sure i got a non smoking room-especially with kids not good ramada not good.

Very comfortable contemporary rooms, pleasant staff, easy walking distance for Salford Quays and Old Trafford. Excellent value for money

we ate a meal---way over-priced--small portions--ordered a plate of bread that was to include several varieties of bread and bruschetta---got 5 puny slices of white bread for 5 pounds---complained to the waitress and brought it back with two slices of another bread and three slices of white bread---we over heard the kitchen staff say "that is all we got!" sad---very sad

The hotel itself is faultless, however my only complaint was that the hotel staff seemed quite rushed in what they were doing! This resulted in being quickly checked in and dismissed. The two questions I had (taxi and tram info) couldn't be answered and I had to ask locals outside the hotel for info! The hotel itself however was spotless! Maybe the staff could do with a bit More training about the local area!

We stayed one night. The hotel was lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. The car park was fine and had plenty of space that I could see. It is about ten minutes from Old Trafford and has a little restaurant/bar retail park across the road. A Subway next door too. I didn't eat in the restaurant or have breakfast so I can't comment on the food. But overall I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well run, well located and does exactly what it says on the tin.

We stayed at the hotel for a football weekend in March from Friday to Sunday with my friend and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful, specially the beautiful friendly blond girl who's name I didn't got the pleasure to get. Free wifi was a nice bonus, the room was on the 8th floor facing the Quays and had twin beds. The little traffic noise that came from the main road didn't bother almost any and got used to it very quickly. The tram stop was across the street which was very easy and handy to use and move between the center and Lowry. The overall environment of the Quays was beautiful and quiet, upper class homes and jogging streets. Couple of restaurants and a Tesco just around the corner. If coming to United game again, would definitely visit Ramada again if I get a special offer as did this time.

The place is great for Old Trafford, Salford Quays, all within walking distance, Tram-Link justa 2 minute walk away.........Superb.

Clean, spacious, modern room!!! What more could you ask for. The shower is also amazing! Great location if your goin to old Trafford!

Only stay if you need to be in this area - hotel is tired and carpets really need to be replaced. Breakfast(I haven't eaten in the restaurant in the evening) is ok but quality of the sausages/bacon/black pudding could be better. Free wifi which is a bonus but sometimes not good enough for Skype or streaming iplayer. Overpriced and can be noisy at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road. Pices seem to be hiked by proximity to the MU football ground and lack of competition. Having said all this tram stop across the road is convenient, and the Tesco Express is handy for any bit you want ot buy although not a great choice. Not a lot in this area for going out. Staff are friendly and happy to help in any way they can.

Good location for Old Trafford, very comfortable, nice restaurant - good food. Lovely breakfast

Beautiful hotel. My second stay with a different bunch of friends, they all loved it! The bed is the most comfy bed in the world! Defo recommended if visiting for a night out in Manchester!

Modern hotel on the edge of the quays; location fine for me visiting nearby offices but area a bit soulless at night. Room well appointed, comfortable, quiet and clean, but a bit whiffy from cigarettes (even if not a smoking room) Reception service (both coming and going) a bit perfunctory; could do more to make you feel welcome. A smile would have helped :) But fair price and overall fit for purpose!

The hotel is very conveniently located between two tram stops so its out of the city centre but still very easy to get to. The staff were polite and hospitable and I found the hotel very comfortable. No complaints!

I stayed here for just 2 nights a couple of weeks back and although the hotel was very nice I found the staff weren't really up to standard. Upon arrival and checking in I was ignored twice so the receptionist could deal with other guests who turned up after me. These guests had problems with the hotel services and the receptionist seemed very flustered but I didn't appreciate having to give my name 3 times just because I wasn't an angry business woman and not as important seemingly! On our last day a maintenance worker entered the room at 8:20 and woke myself and my friend up which isn't very professional. He then called back to the room nearer to 10 to tell us he needed the room even though check out wasn't til 11, once again - not impressed! Other than that the hotel was nice and comfortable and very close to the tram line. I just would have been very upset if I had paid 4 star prices for this hotel.

The place is pretty much what you'd expect ie perfectly comfortable with a nod to styling that doesn't make anything difficult to clean. I often have to ask for extra pillows, but here the 4 provided seemed new, well stuffed and springy anyway; nice firm bed, crisp bedding, conveniently placed lights etc. The bathroom was well appointed and, minor wonder, the hot water worked immediateely, no waiting even a few secs for it to warm up. Oh and the little bar of facial soap was worthy of mention lol, seriously though, I forget the brand but it was great and readily doubled as shaving cream without drying my skin (What can I say? Its a problem for me.)! The other toiletries would be handy if you'd turned up without even the basics, but body butter? Really? Can't help thinking proper shaving cream would be more useful. The free WiFi was quick and glitch-free, the TV worked fine but the choice of music on demand is limited and slightly bizarre, which only bothered me because the internet radio stations offered didn't work. There was no de-caf tea or instant hot choc on the brew making tray, but thats hardly surprising, and the tea and biscuits provided were apparently acceptible. I didn't use the iron/ironing board or hair dryer (you get a shower-cap) so I can't comment, but the safe is simple to operate inside the modestly sized wardrobe. The only real mark-down from me was room service. Firstly, having payed in advance online there was no credit available with the room, which would have been fine except that nobody at reception mentioned to me that room service cannot be paid for in cash at night, only during the day (what, the night staff can't be trusted with money or something?). I ended up having to go down to reception to pay for some late snacks, which kind of defeats the object if you ask me. I did point this out to the staff member and he graciously waived the service charge. I will say that the 24hr menu offers a vegetarian choice in both snacks and meals, whic

The hotel was new, easy to find and well located for The Lowry, Imperial War Museum North, Media City and Old Trafford. The room was nice (if a bit warm) with a comfortable bed and full bathroom. Car park is small but we arrived at 9pm and managed to get a space. Metrolink trams to Manchester city centre or Eccles can be accessed from two stops nearby - we thought Exchange Quay was closest to the hotel.

The hotel was good value for money. Clean rooms Good breakfast. The service was not four star. I asked for ice in our room. Was informed to go down to the bar other wise they would charge £3. for this service!!!! I was on the sixth floor what a drag....I have stayed in a lot of hotels all ratings and never had to go and fetch ice from the bar.

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed here and the hotel was beautiful, close to local restaurants and shops like tesco etc. A tram line goes to most popular places... picadilly etc and u can get the tram to eccles and a bus will then take u to the trafford centre. Worthwhile stopping at a tram stop as most will go 2 salford quays, we didnt know this and ended up walking all the way from the city centre. Trams start around 6am and run until after 12. Would really recommend if you looking a peaceful stay outside the city centre, hope to return soon.

From the moment we arrived at check in the staff we polite and attentive. The room over looked the quaysand was clean and well kept. We asked about the surrounding area and staff were well informed. The local amenities were very close by and overall we loved our short stay.

Although room is petite which is an European concept compared to the American versions but the staff was awesome, the area was lovely and the room was pristine. Only flaw was they did not clean the room daily. Wondered why? Would still recommend as staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely stay again in future but hope they do clean room daily unless otherwise indicated by guest.

Among all the hotels I stayed in my 3 weeks in Europe, Ramada hotel was the best one I stayed in.

Just the job. Great location out of main city but only a short tram ride away. Hotel staff very helpful, room clean comfortable and had everything we needed. Will be booking again for next year.

I was staying at the Ramada Manchester Salford Quay because I signed up to the great Salford swim which was taking part just across the road and where over 2000 swimmers were competing. When I arrived at the hotel and asked if I could have a late check out, due to the race, to the tune of an hour and a half. I was told that it was £10 a hour for late check out so that would be £20. We were checking out on a Sunday so the chances of the hotel being full that night wasn’t high, so was it really to much trouble to let me have the room for a little bit longer? When I asked the receptionist if the swim was just over the walk way, which I could see, she didn’t even know there were any events happening in Salford that weekend or where they were. Given the swim was on along with the Salford 10k I would have expected the reception staff to have been briefed. The hotel itself was in a good location with the tram stop just outside (15 mins and you are in the centre of Manchester) and the room was clean with a good shower but the service just wasn’t there for a four star hotel. Would I stay again? Possibly as I didn’t pay that much for the room but I would prefer to stay somewhere else in the future. I will however think twice about booking another Ramada hotel in the future as the customer service was poor at best.

I'm really happy that I found this hotel, great service by the staff, very close to Old Trafford (for those who come to Manchester to see a game or two, but more than that its about 5-10 minute drive from the trafford center (huge shopping mall) or a few minutes walk from the Lowry Theatre. Great Hotel, if I come again, the same choice will be made.

Was impressed with the overall quality of the hotel. Our room was very clean and modern. 10 minute walk to Old Trafford also. Went for a drink in the bar in the evening, very nice comfy seating. Bit slow with the bar food we ordered and not really impressed with the food when we did get it, cold and very small portions. Breakfast in the morning was a hot breakfast and cold buffet choice, very impressed with the service and selection. Only complaint was we were woken many times in the night by the people in the rooms around us crashing and banging obviously a big group together, but not the fault of the hotel really. Other than that a nice stay and would recommend for Old Trafford or Lowry Theatre location.

This hotel was fantastic. They provided me with everything I needed and were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this place and will stay here again when I am in the area.

Superb location for Old Trafford Football, 10 minute walk, Good bar in hotel...though not enough seating area when all returned from the match. Would stay again no doubts at all, a very nice hotel.

This hotel is comfortable, modern and clean. It is about a £6 taxi ride into central Manchester. The hotel attracts Man Utd fans who are visiting the ground, but we requested a quiet room in case of any noise- we heard none. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but the bar/lounge area looked nice. This is a really good hotel, particularly given the price.

Booking a hotel room in Manchester isn't simple if you want to get online or park a car. Some hotels do wi-fi, some do free wi-fi, some don't have parking, some do have parking but the rates and availability all vary... in short, your final bill can leap up once parking and getting online are added. Exhausted by this previously I ditched the car - so removing the parking dilemmas - and decided to take a hotel with free wi-fi.... the only problem being that I couldn't get on as per their instructions and it was way too late to start trying to get reception to fix it. But I slept well. The room was very clean - always my number one priority - and comfortable. It was situated by the lift shaft but after 11pm that wasn't an issue... although I do wonder if Utd had been playing at home whether that would have been any different? The food in the restaurant was good and service was efficient and friendly. Getting to Salford Quays is easiest by tram. And I'd venture the chances of a delay due to someone throwing themselves under one are incredibly low, it is the slowest public transport system I've ever experienced. But the carriages are clean, especially if it's heading for MediaCity. My advice to Ramada and the other local hotels and businesses is to start giving the local council hell - if they want to be taken seriously you need a tram that can't be overtaken by toddlers in pedal cars!

After a banter filled signing in, i took the short walk to elevator then up to my room. 3rd floor facing the one of the main basins/quays. The room was clean and inviting, and memories of my last comfortable stays came flooding back and i felt relaxed. Before i did anything i threw myself on the bed and did what any kid would do in the snow and i made like a snow angel/harry worth type motion. It was sooooo comfy i almost fell asleep there and then. The windows, floor to ceiling allow masses of light in, but no noise from the outside world to mention. I looked for a quiet and comfy room and thats what i got. Easy access to the main road, and less than 5 mins from my destination. There are a number of bars close to the Ramada, not to forget the bar in the hotel. Football ground visible, cricket ground by taxi 5-10 mins away, manchester city centre accessible by bus, car, tram, taxi and by "shanks's pony". All in all the Ramada, for its price and location will always get a 5* report from me and i fully intend to stay there again.

Rooms comfortable. Shower great! Food in the restaurant very poor. Lasagne consisted of a layer of cheap mince in thin tomato sauce top by one layer of pasta you could read the menu through. Breakfast chef could only cook one item at a time and threw the food in the tray and looked like he hated his job. Car park is totally inadequate for the 2 hotels on the site. We had to walk 10 minutes to a disused toothpaste factory to park.

Excellent modern clean room. Restaurant service poor. Waited 45 mins for a very average pizza. Breakfast taken along with loud music despite asking for it to be turned down. No spoons or butter on numereous tables. Fresh fruit next to hot serving area. Cereals at other end of restaurant. Strange.

We had a very stressful start to our stay, because the hotel has 140 rooms, but only 54 parking spaces and on a night when the world and his wife were in Salford Quays for a concert that adds up to no parking space. We ended up having to pay to park in a "secure" concert car park nearby and moving our car onto an even less secure patch of waste land next to the hotel at 12.30 at night. Having said that, the hotel was comfortable and ideal for the purposes of the concert. Beware though - either get there early or go by tram, it'll save the stress of trying to park!

Our room was clean, stylish and the beds were very comfortable. One of the best showers I have ever had. That is really all you want when away from home. The only downside was checkout. Make sure you use the express checkout or go early, otherwise you will be waiting in a cue.
