الموقع مناسب جداً، قريباً من قطار الأنفاق. المنطقة ظريفة، على الرغم من كون الفندق قديماً و يحتاج إلى تجديدات. لم أتمكن من الإستحمام في الصباح، لا يوجد ماء ساخن بسبب أن كل الناس تستحم والفندق لا يمكنه التعامل مع الضغط. طاقم العمل ودوود ومتعاون جداً. الإفطار كان جيداً. الفندق قديم جداً ومتهالك ولكنه نظيف. بإختصار، ستحصل على مقابل ما دفعت.

موقع الفندق كان مناسباً بالنسبة لقطارات الأنفاق و الأتوبيسات، ولكن الغرفة كانت صغيرة جداً ولم يكن بها أدوات لعمل الشاي. غرفة العشاء كانت صغيرة أيضاً وضيقة حتى في حجم الطاولات. الشاي والقهوة الذان يقدمان في الإفطار كانا دافئين فقط. وإذا طلبت الحبوب، لم ينتظروك لتكملها قبل إحضار الإفطار الإنجليزي المطهو، والذي كان معدّاً من أكل جودته رديئة، وتركوك تبحث عن مكان فارغ لتضع الإفطار. كان هناك الكثير من الفواكه ولكنها كانت أيضاً رديئة، فإما الموز نصفه أسود، أو التفاح والكمثرى صغيرة، وكانوا وكأنهم قد تم جمعم من الأرض، بكل هذه الأوساخ، إلخ عليهم. في ليلة ذهبت للمطبخ لعمل الشاي، كما أخبرونا أنه من الممكن، وأنا أفتح الثلاجة لأحضر اللبن كانت الأرفف السفلية بالثلاجة متسخة بالعصير والدم من لحم البيكون. ليس من نوعية الأماكن التي سنذهب إليها مرة اخرى، أو ننصح بها.

Friendly service, clean room, amazing breakfast. Two minutes' walk from Gloucester Road tube station, which suited us as this line goes to Heathrow where we had to go the next day. Just a few stops from all the sights too, although we walked into central London from here taking in the parks. Room was compact but fine for one or two nights. Very happy with our stay.

This is one of the more inexpensive hotel rooms in London, but it shows in the size of the room. A very tiny room and bed that would be very uncomfortable for anyone 6' or taller. Bathroom similarly very small. Light in hallway a distraction when going to sleep as the transom above the entry door was glass and did not have a shade over it.

Stayed the night at this hotel which was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was an experience with seemingly endless plates of fruit and cold meats being offered by very enthusiastic and friendly staff. This was on top of a fry up, didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! Very helpful reception.

Yes, family oriented hotel with big smiles and a lot of fruits to eat. They don't have much information about London and its entertainment. Make sure you have pounds only no euro money. Completely different electrical charger not like in other Europe countries or US. Hotel is old, windows have holes that you can hear wind going through (same for their fireplace). Far from center unless you like subways/underground train. Far from any airports. At least an hour walk to Buckingham Palace.

The location was very convenient for access to the tube/ museums around South Kensington. Room was small but very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous and it was great to have use of the kitchen for dinner in the evenings.

Very friendly family owned hotel. Lift a bit dodgy. Few problems with lights. High ceilings of a converted house into a hotel. Eccentric and dated, but the location is convenient. The staff were lovely-- very kind to us when we arrived straight from the flight and very weary. Breakfast full English cooked and lots of fruit-- plentiful and delicious

it took 2 trips to London in the past year to find the right hotel for my prize range. the staff is very friendly and helpful. very close to tube about 2 blocks. The brakfast is great. only the english brakfast but the fresh fruit. you can have it all day long the fruit. unheard for london. the room were modest but very clean. in residential area. will defenitly be staying there again , cheers

Decent location, 5 subway stops from London center, good breakfast, made to order, nice hotel stuff. Hotel itself quite old and needs some remodeling.

Perfect directions provided-Piccadily tube from Heathrow(Gloucester station)short walk. Easy walking to Kensington Gardens-museums-Harrods.Short tube easy access to piccadily-circle and district lines.Easy trip to Kew Gardens and tube to Tower of London or British Museum and train stations. Very great location! Friendly staff-made phone calls and arrangements for Salisbury-Stonehenge-Bath tour.Great complete breakfasts of eggs to order-ham,sausage,beans,bread,rolls and fruit and juices. Enjoyed visiting with guests in the morning-from everywhere and with the owner. Kitchen available to guests.

ALMOST CHOKED WHEN I SAW SIZE OF ROOM. small DOESN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE ROOM SIZE -- LESS THAN 75 SQ FT WHICH INCLUDES BED, THE BATHROOM/SHOWER/TOILET/SINK, TV, AND "CLOSET." BUT IN THE END, ALL TURNED OUT WELL. PLENTY HOT WATER AND SMALL BED WAS COMFORTABLE. NO PHONE AND NO ALARM CLOCK TO WAKE US UP FOR OUR FLIGHT AND NO ONE TO WAKE YOU UP UNTIL AFTER 0700. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

Me and three friends had booked a four bedroom room from St Simeons to go to the Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court. When we arrived we were informed that our room was undergoing maintenance but were more than happy to split us to two rooms for no extra charge. This turned out to be very useful as the one room would have had only one bathroom. We were on a budget and we were very happy with what we got for our money. The rooms were basic but not bad at all. The location was perfect as it is just a short walk to Earls Court and an even shorter walk to the nearest tube which takes straight into the heart of London. If I had wanted to spend more time sightseeing I may still pick this hotel due to the area being very safe. Overall had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this to anyone wanting to go to London and to Earls Court.

Hotel needs major repairs: first day they put us in the room smelled like mold and so dirty that I wanted wash my hands AFTER I washed my hands. But after I asked to move us they did very next day and room was much better (BEST room in hotel as they presented to us). I will give 2 stars for this room (first one was -5). But staff is super nice and helpful; breakfast was huge with tons of fruits available. Only thing I did not like it too much oil/butter used to make eggs and for me personally it was nauseating. Great location, close to subway Picadilly line. Pretty much you get what you pay for giving that hotels in london are very expensive.

the services and foods are very good... we will recommend you to my friends

(a)Firstly hotel never seems to have cleaned, specially the carpets very unhygenic and rooms quite smelly. (b) Hotel reception manned for only around 16 hours, rest of the time you have to stand at reception and wait or shout till somebody comes there. (c) While checking in the reception guy would ask you that do you need shampoo and soap and if you say yes than he would take it out from shelf as if they are doing some favour to you. (d) only location and breakfast room was good otherwise it is not a hotel and should not be listed on hotels.com site.

The room was clean, staff were Ok and breakfast was great because of the service and diversity of the food.

St. Simeon is a nice hotel in a very pleasant part of London. The staff were very helpful. Free Breakfast was excellent - a real surprise - and a solid start for a good days sightseeing. We also left an iPod which the staff found and helped to get back to us...nice to see honesty still exists!

A very basic hotel, clean, polite staff, nice area, short walk to underground. The breakfast was not great. All in all a good budget hotel.

staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast food was plentiful if dull. The orange juice wasn't orange but more like fruit punch.The slowly rotting fruit on open display should be refrigerated instead, The room was small and cramped but you get what you pay for.The bedding was basic, more like that found in construction camps.There was a rowdy disturbance that went on and on overnight but no staff to intervene so the other guests protested till the noise abated, St.Simeon should come back; his hotel could use a miracle.

Hotel is a place to stay. That is all. It is difficult to find a 'family' room in London, so we booked with St. Simeon because they had one. The beds were jammed in tightly. We had no place to set down our suitcases except the floor, which was already a narrow path. There are no towel racks. Shower curtain doesn't reach to base of shower. It was 80 degrees in London for both days, and our room was very hot. Breakfast was strange, with piles of kiwi and toast. Uncooked fried egg. Powdered 'drink' for Orange Juice. Everything needs updating.

We are a family of 5 and it was difficult to find accommodations that would fit all of us. St. Simeon was perfect! Plenty of beds for all and within walking distance from tube to all the major museums. Hotel staff was outstanding as well. By far the friendliest people we met in London. Hot breakfast every morning was wonderful as well. Definitely recommend!

I would recommend this hotel for its location and friendly staff, however the accomodation standards are poor. If you are visiting London for a couple of days, are on a budget and don't mind hostel-type accomodation and don't intend to spend much time in the hotel, it will be fine. Pros: 1. Close to Gloucester Road tube station, Picadilly and Circle Lines. Only one tube ride home from West End. 2. Located in Knightsbridge, a very safe area 3. Can use the kitchen facilities including microwave, kettle etc (expect when breakfast is being prepared by the staff) 4. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff 5. Very cheap for the area! 6. My daughter and I were upgraded from a double to a triple room at no extra cost. 7. The other travellers we met were all very friendly. Cons: 1. The room smelt damp 2. The single bed was so lumpy that my daughter and I shared the double bed. This was our original plan as we had only booked a double room so we weren't upset by this. 3. The room desperately needed a refurb - the toilet cistern lid was broken; the wooden veneer on the tv stand/cupboard was warped stood a couple of inches above the the top it was supposed to be attached to; and although the bathroom was clean, it had black mould growing in the corners. 4.There was no hot water in the mornings for a shower. Evenings seemed to be OK. 5. One of the plug sockets didn't work. 6. The curtains were too small for the window.

Cheap hotel near tube station and central. Walk distans toi Harrods, a fiew minutes by tube to Oxford Str. The hotel staff wa serviceminded, friendly and very helpfull.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the service is also excellent - the owners are friendly and polite. The rooms are very small and their quality isn't too high, but they'll do, especially if you're not too picky.

The hotel location was fantastic, it was located in a very safe afre and a few minute walk to Glouster Road tube station. The staff were very helpfull, its basic acomodation but very comftable. i would stay here again for another 1 night trip or if you are not plannying on spending any time in the hotel room.

Are you leaving your room in the morning and return late at night? Then this is the ideal hotel for you. In addition to the bed, you will find friendly and helpful staff, abundant and rich breakfast that gives you energy for the day, a very safe neighborhood for your late night return, and a location close to transport facilities. If you intend to spend some hours at the hotel during the day, stay away. Lack of space and low comfort do not make you feel comfortable.

My friend and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, The location & price were the reasons I chose St Simeon it is close to the tube. Our room was on the top floor, it was not specious but the beds were comfy, it was clean and windows were easy to open. Only downside would be poor water pressure which meant no good for the Tap Shower !,This Hotel is basic but very good value for those on a budget.

We stayed at this small family run hotel on our vacation. It is in a 4 floor townhouse in South Kensington, only a few blocks from the Gloucester Road metro station. It was very convenient for Kensington Palace as well as the Victoria & Albert Museum and Natural History Museum. The staff was very helpful and they serve full English breakfast. The room was small but clean and comfortable and there is an elevator. We would stay here again if in London.

Central, extremely quiet and safe location, good breakfast, cleanliness, minimal but satisfactory room comfort, friendly staff. Kitchen facilities available free of charge. Could be a little cheaper.

This hotel was very convenient for our stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nothing fancy, but it was very comfortable and clean. The dining facilities were a bit cramped. The location was perfect. Very close to the Gloucester Street Underground station and a short walk to Kensington Gardens. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't need all the frills of a fancier hotel.

The Hotel situated in quite street of South Kensington inside residential area. The rooms and furnitures are now dated and need renovation. Overall cleanliess is just ok specially for a person who just needs a bed to rest for the night. The front desk is decent and friendly. The best thing about the hotel is its breakfast and serving hospitality. I am really impressed with its hot and cold collection and the collection of amazing fruits. Also the breads, cookies, hot english items are very well cooked and served with tremendous intensity

We stayed at the St Simeon so we could attend a concert in the Royal Albert Hall. It was a lovely walk to the Hall, only about 20 minutes. The hotel itself was horrible. Very old and run-down. Our washbasin was attached to the wall with one thread and the toilet looked like it was originally from 1890. The room itself was so small that one of us had to sit on the bed to let the other pass. There was no room for our luggage. The shower curtain was new as was the shower head. The water was warm in the mornings but cold at night. The breakfast was good. The staff tried hard but it is difficult to enjoy yourself in such conditions. I will never stay there again nor recommend it to others!

Absolutely fab friendly staff. Good breakfast - plenty of food. We had a quad room, has a ensuite built in. Very basic room and some parts of the hotel could do with some repair. But for price and location an excellent hotel, you get what you pay for. The room was clean and the staff helped with storing luggage on last day after check out time until we were ready to go home. Free to use kitchen to make own food and drink during day which is excellent when you are on a budget. I would happily stay there again.

When I travel to the UK to visit family on the east coast i'll usually book a last minute hotel in London to make my journey to LHR a bit easier. I found the St. Simeon because all of the other hotels had been booked. The hotel is conveniently located near the Gloucester tube stop, just a short walk to left and right off the Picadilly line that will take you to LHR. That's why I always choose this South Kensington neighborhood. However, the hotels in the area were going for three times what I paid in that area in the past. That's how I discovered the St. Simeon... was the least expensive and had free wifi listed. While I walked up to check in they first treated me like I had walked in to try get a room while they were totally booked. After plunking down a 3GBP deposit for a key on a VW car keychain, I was escorted up to my room in the tiny lift. The room I was assigned was 25. Two heavy doors to open then into the dingy, musty room. It consisted of two single beds, and old tv, and a nightstand. The bathroom was filthy. Shower still had shaving stubble stuck to the side and the shower head itself would not stay up so had to hold it the entire time. No soap or wash cloths provided, just a towel. Beds were alright, sleep-able but thin sheets which made it cold at night. The window had been cracked open and was unable to close it and two odd shape curtains covered a quarter of the window itself allowing light in. The free wifi which is mentioned didn't work in my room. One of my selling points to the hotel. This was a huge disappointment. I took my laptop downstairs asked if they had a lounge to sit in. Just the dark little kitchen and dining room downstairs below the check in desk. Even down here the internet was slow. The staff were friendly but would walk around trying to push the moldy fruit and coffee off on you. Overall it wasn't a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was included in the price but after reading the reviews on here I opted to check out early and head s

By american standards,this hotel might be considered a bit spartan,but the owner and his staff are the best.The hotel's clientele are worldwide, and of every type imaginable,which leads to discourse on a variety of subjects.The hotel's location is a short walk from many museums and transport,in an upscale area,and is a wonderful place for an extrovert to be.If you feel the need to be at the Hyatt, go there,and don't take up a space that could benefit someone interesting.If you wish to be warmly welcomed into a small community of travelers from everywhere,this is your place to go.John and his staff will do more for you than you can imagine in order to make your stay interesting,and I guarantee you will meet "regular" people from places in the world you only see on the news.I have traveled the world for more than half a century,and became acquainted with more folks in a week that were interesting, than ever before. Again,go there for who you will meet,and how easy it is to navigate around London from there,not for the luxury. If you do not have an interesting stay,it is likely you are in need of a personality adjustment. I will return as soon as is possible,as it is interesting [although not perfect], Most people there were people who always stay there when in London,and there are reasons for this not of a financial nature. If you aren't rude you will feel welcome,and can learn more about the world from people who actually live in it,than is conceivable.It was great fun and any shortfalls you experience,will be minor,when compared to the benefits you will gain from the experience,if you choose to participate.
