Single rooms were small but clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar prices reasonable and breakfast plentiful. Could have done with tea making facilities in room but otherwise no complaints. Close to station and Pompeii site. Restaurants nearby excellent but most not open Mondays.

Great little hotel close to Pompei Train Station (NOT Pompei Scavi). Staff is friendly and helpful. But, breakfast is very limited if one is gluten-free (just breads with minimal cheese/meat). Some fruit and or yogurt would be nice. And, the internet is sketchy. Could not get a signal in my room on the 2nd floor and had to go to the lobby to get access.

We had one night booked but stayed three. The room cleanliness impressed, the price was right, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!

We completely enjoyed our one night at Hotel Diana. We came from the train station and it was incredibly easy to find/walk to. The rooms were very clean - the hotel had a fresh, modern feel to it. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, very helpful and friendly! The only thing we were a little surprised at was the daylight savings time change - no one mentioned it at the hotel and, luckily, we ended up an hour earlier (not later) for our train, but next time maybe they can post a note at the front desk to let people know? Also, they are very thorough giving train directions from Naples to Pompeii, but they call the train that you have to take the" Ferrovie dello Stato FFSS" train in the directions - this train is the same as the TRENITALIA train. When you get to Naples, you won't see FFSS anywhere - look for the Trenitalia office and they can help you get a ticket. Great little hotel! We would definitely stay there again . . . VERY close to the second entrance to Pompeii (not the main one, so you miss some of the crowds).

We have just got back from our stay at the Hotel Diana in Pompei having selected this hotel due to its trip advisor rating. The room is rather basic as per previous reviews but is tidy and clean and the bathroom is plenty big enough for two. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk to the ruins and the main street of restaurants. I have given this 3 out of 5 as the walls in the rooms are incredibly thin and for us this meant being kept awake by our neighbour's screaming child all through the night. Also I felt that the breakfast selection could have been better as it just consisted of a few croissants and as there were so few you felt you could only take 1, some cornflakes, a few slices of ham & cheese, few slices of cake and some very un-appealing fruit. The hotel staff are all very helpful though and speak good English. Overall this is a good hotel Im just not sure its anything exceptional.

Very friendly front desk reception and staff. Breakfast was abundant. Bathroom shower drainage issue other then that hotel is clean. One block from train station, walking distance (7 blocks) to Pompaii excavation site. Bus station to take you to Mt. Vasuvius (5 blocks). We felt very safe walking around at night 10pm.

Brilliant stay, the hotel was perfect, and the staff and level of service amazing.Special thanks to Giuseppe, Nadia and Carla who were all so very helpful, before and during our stay although all the staff worked exceptionally hard and all were very polite and friendly. The hotel booked our airport transfers and saved us around 40 euros each way, The location of the hotel is perfect for seeing Pompei ruins, Herculaneum, Oplontis, Paestum, and Sorrento. It was fantastic, so thank you all at Hotel Diana.

It as a very pleasent place to stay, service and assistance from staff was excellent, centrally located to shops, cafes and sightseeing. The hotel had a small resturant but there were larger resurats close by.

Very close to pompeii ruins about less than 10 min walk, and from the railway station about less than 2 min walk. Staff all were very helpful and made my stay comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely staff, small room for a single. Good restaurant. A very bad bed but staff seemed interested when I complained when checking out. In all a nice place!

Situated 2 minutes walk from the centre of town in a small quiet side road. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was fairly small, the bed was a bit hard and the TV was on a wall above the wardrobe which was rather unusual making it hard to see but there were no English TV channels anyway which would have been nice as we had a few rainy days during our stay. 20 minute walk to the main entrance to the ruins but they are a must see with Vesusvius ever present in the background. Many tours available to Vesuvius but don't go if there is a cloud covering the top as you won't see a thing which happened to us and was disappointing. It was clear on the day we left but you can't control the weather! Continental breakfast but it was eat as much as you like with freshly made coffee on request. Recommend the restaurant at the end of the hotel side road probably the best in town with excellent food and good service at a reasonable price.

My friend and I were recently travelling across Italy and stayed here. It's a stone's throw from the train station, clean and very friendly staff. Thumbs up on all fronts.

Great value for the money. Staff very hospitable. A small point is that the purple, shiny bed cover should go.

We were there for one night. It was a nice hotel, which friendly staff and a good breakfast. The decor in the rooms was bright and appealing. Very nice.

This is a little jewel. A 2 minute walk from the train station and a 3 minute walk to downtown. The staff are wonderful and a delight to be around. The rooms are very small, but we were never in them except to sleep. Wonderful garden off of lobby and nice breakfast in the morning.

This hotel is in walking distance of the ruins in Pompeii as well as downtown modern Pompei. It is also in walking distance of the train station (Circumvesuviana) that will take you to Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and will send you information regarding getting to the hotel, the sights, etc by email after booking.

We were thrilled to find that this hotel is literally one block from the train station, and a short 5-minute walk to the ruins of Pompei! It had a beautiful patio area outside to sit and have drinks, plus 2 laptops with internet access in the lobby for guests to use. The rooms were comfortable, with plenty of room. The staff was also very helpful.

Please do not be hesitant in booking this hotel as my family and I enjoyed our time here! We drove and were worried about the area until 1km before getting to the hotel. Once there we saw just how nice this three star was! Walking distance to restaurants, public transportation and the ruins of Pompeii. We would book again without hesitation!

We've just come back from our stay at the Hotel Diana. It was fantastic. The reviews are spot on. I'm always a little nervous booking hotels online - never quite sure what to expect and there have been a couple of disappointments, but this is not one of them. It is only the lack of a swimming pool that stops this hotel being 4*. The staff are lovely and helpful and mostly english speaking. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are stylish. Even the hotel's own restaurant is good. It's only for hotel guests and does fairly basic foods - gnocci, simple salads, pasta - but it's all delicious and really good value. The house wine isn't bad either! In terms of sightseeing, it's a 5-10 minute walk through Pompei's main square to the ampitheatre entrance to the ruins. It's 2 minutes from Pompei station (not Pompei Scavi - it's the Pompei station on the TrenItalia line from Naples) I'd really really recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed. We just can't wait to go back!

A very convenient hotel. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The hotel is very close to the ruins and it is a quick walk to reach them. Also, there is plenty of parking for cars!

A very welcoming family hotel. We enjoyed our 6 night stay at Hotel Diana very much, could not fault the Hotel in any way, felt very much like home. Beautiful garden area for dining, reading or just relaxing. We enjoyed both the breakfasts and dinners served. The staff were very helpful with our sight-seeing in the area, going out of their way to give clear directions even drawing maps to make driving easier for us, suggesting places not to be missed and making us feel a part of their family. Highly recommend this hotel.

very friendly and well run small hotel with helpful staff, who speak a number of languages. Lovely little garden to sit out in, and a great location if you are arriving by train. Our only gripe was regarding the room facilities - the beds were rather uncomfortable and the shower in our room was a disaster! It simply could not be used without flooding the whole bathroom and there was no bath so there was no alternative but to use it. Installing a shower cubicle, or even a more effective shower head holder would have done the trick. Very annoying. The toilet was also very reluctant to flush.

The hotel has a lovely garden, perfect for relaxing under the orange trees (fruit can be picked and eaten, too) after a hard day's sightseeing. The staff were extremely helpful in all respects and speak excellent English. The one negative was that we couldn't seem to get the AC to work, but it was not uncomfortable in mid-May. Overall, our stay was thoroughly delightful, and we would certainly stay there again.

Best place to stay in Pompei and to use as a base for the general area, inc, Paestum, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri, and the Bay of Naples (Naples, Herculaneum, Vesuvius). Very close to Pompei RR station, but also free parking in back lot if traveling by rental car. Quiet side street. Adequate continental breakfast. Spartan furnishings in room. Free internet access via terminal in reception area. About a ten-minute walk from Amphitheater entrance to ruins of Pompei. Very welcoming, helpful staff in this modern, family-run hotel. Family-friendly, with rooms of different configures.

Den nuværende Pompei er lidt kedelig, men hotellet er velbeliggende centralt i byen og med kort afstand til udgravningerne. Der er ingen gadestøj. Haven er pænt holdt med en dejlig lille appelsinlund. gode parkeringsforhold. Alle ansatte vi var i kontakt med i receptionen, restauranten og på gangene var usædvanlig søde venlige og meget hjælpsomme. Værelset og badeværelset lidt småt, men fuldt tilstrækkeligt og passende til tre stjerner.

Proche du site arché (ceci dit, Pompéi est une petite ville et le site archéo est très grand, donc tout est proche du site!). Personnel serviable et petit dej (modeste) inclus. Mais les chambres sont sommaires, genre un peu Formule 1 : éclairées au néon, salle de bains minuscule, etc. Mais bon, comme c'est pas cher et que généralement c'est pour une nuit, le temps d'aller visiter le site, ça suffit.

Vi stannade på hotellet en natt just för att besöka sevärdheterna. För detta låg hotellet jättebra. Hotellpersonalen var mycket tillmötesgående och deras trädgård var verkligen mysig.

Toppen hotell nära fd askhögen. Trevlig innergård med helt ok käk. Bra parkeringsmöjligheter skyddat.

the location towards the pompei-ruins is perfect. 15 minutes walk to the entrance. In the centre but in a quiet deadend street. The hotel is brandnew and really comfortable. And the reception is SO GOOD! 100% friendly and perfect info about restaurants etc etc.The breakfastbuffet is basic, like in all Italy. One can pick some fruits for the trip.

Staff gentile e disponibile, pulizia massima, bagno ottimo, solo la colazione un po' povera. Ottima posizione per visitare Pompei, molto, molto soddisfatti.

Hôtel idéalement bien situé avec un parking intérieur, ce qui permet de laisser la voiture et de prendre le train qui dessert Sorrente, Naples et les principales visites. A 5 minutes des ruines. Se trouve à côté un petit restaurant, très bon rapport qualité-prix. Très bon accueil, propreté de la chambre et bon petit déjeuner. A recommander.

Hotel très bien situé: proche de la gare et du site de Pompei, accueil agréable (personnel parlant français, ce qui est rare dans la région de naples)
