Grand Hôtel du Luxembourg - بايوكس

Cute hotel with very nice staff. The room was larger than I have had in France. Very clean and bed comfortable. The toilet was in a different room than the sink and shower, but sometimes I think in the old buildings you have to work with the structure you have! The hotel was next too sites and just had a very nice stay. Thanks.

we had a wonderful time and saw all of the sites that we had wished to see...Bayeux Tapestry a highlight as well as the D-day beaches!

Close to the Latin Quarter, but far from the other sites. The metro is a necessity.

Parking was "complimentary" per our reservations. However, staff did not understand term "complimentary" and tried to charge 9 Euros per day. Parking fee was waived. Confusion with booking agency.

The Hotel was perfectly situated for visiting Bayeux it was only a short stroll from the town centre and ideal for visiting a lovely area. I felt however that it was overpriced for the facilities provided. The breakfast was very poor and more than once they had run out of items and made no attempt to replace them. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable but otherwise the room was fine, tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice particularly since there was no room service available.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days at the end of June. The staff was great, but there was one person that just acted like we were the biggest inconvenience. Now, I speak French and spoke to her in both French and English so there were not communication issues. I love the French, and whenever someone badmouths French people in general to me, I'm the first to stand up for them because they are fabulous people and we've never had a problem. This person, however, was just uncomfortable to be around. Every other staff member was great, but maybe she was just having a bad few days while we were there. And we didn't ask anything outrageous - just for directional information or for 2 plastic cups. The inside of the hotel is pretty and they even have a courtyard surrounded by flowers where you can eat meals (which you bring in from a store or restaurant). The room was clean, however, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. To be honest, I didn't sleep much in Bayeux so I was very tired during the portion of our stay. Also, the hotel has a parking lot, which was very nice since we rented a car. This was not necessarily the hotel's fault, but some of the other visitors would park their car taking up two spots or would park diagonally - this was not easy to navigate in since the parking lot was small, but also because we weren't used to driving a diesel car and did not want to hit anyone/anything. I feel like one suggestion to ensure everyone is paying the rate for parking the cars would be to give any guest parking a car a tag - this tag (could be a paper or laminated tag) with a specific number that they put on file with the room information and then a hotel worker could occasionally step out into the parking lot to make sure the cars are properly parked and are being used only by hotel visitors. I just feel that everyone is an equally paying customer and should have equal availability to a parking spot if so needed - this was sometimes frustrating to use because of h

Dejlig hotel, som mangler skabsplads i værelserne. Morgenmad kunne være bedre for en 4* hotel. Fantastisk beliggenhed og et hotel, som jeg vil bruge igen.

Egentlig meget fin. God mad i restauranten, men internettet var meget langsomt.

Very nice and helpful staff, good breakfast. 5 min from the cathedral and the pedestrianized shopping and dining streetsm, yet completely quiet. The room was big and the bed comfy. It's not a luxury hotel, yet better than any "budget" hotels. Stayed an extra night before we moved on!
