The British is basic but superbly situated in pleasant backwater to keep an eye on comings and goings in Grsnd Harbour and to enjoy the sunrise and effects of sunset. Great base to walk from,near enough to buses and very friendly staff who added nice personal. Touch. The balconies of dining room and upstairs bar perfect for surveying the water. R

As others have noted, front-facing rooms at the British Hotel have a superb view across the harbour, and there is plenty of shipping coming and going to keep an eye on, from row-boats to luxury yachts and huge cruise ships. The hotel has definitely seen better days. The furniture wasn't the best when it was new, and now is looking very dated. The bathrooms need redecorating. The balcony doors don't close properly. The inclusive breakfast is basic. The bar is minimally stocked. Getting to many of the rooms involves complex navigation of corridors and stairs. But actually, despite all this, it is a very enjoyable place to stay. The location is very convenient to explore Valetta. The front-desk staff are attentive and really helpful. Some of the rooms are a good size (but some aren't). Overall, good value. If staying during summer, pay for the optional air-conditioning. You'll regret it if you don't!

The position of the British Hotel is wonderful...one of the very best positions in the city of Valetta.I asked for...and was given...a room with a view...and WHAT a view...room 118 with a gallery overlooking the whole of the fortifications and harbours....amazing.The breakfast is what you would expect...a buffet with various breads and cheese and meats and biscuits...but the juice was like flavoured water...but you could sit and eat overlooking the waterfront.The room was big and light and had TV.One of the drawbacks was that you had to pay 7 euros A DAY if you wanted air conditioning !! Fortunately in May it was not needed. The owners of the hotel on reception were very good....but CHRIS MONTEBELLO was great...very friendly and informative. Lovely man ! I would certainly stay at the British Hotel if I visited Valetta.

The place was very basic and old fashioned. I was given the wrong room at first (one at the back), but after a quick chat with the clerk i got the correct room.... which looked over the Valletta seafront. From my balcony i could watch across the whole port. What a view. I didnt eat there, but made use of the bar, which was, again, quite basic. The desk is 24hours which was useful to me. My room was tidy, with 2 single beds, digital tv, phone ect. Its location is its best selling point, but i wouldnt stay there for long or as a family.

An older style hotel- not flash, but plenty of amusing character. Staff were very helpful with any requests. It is an excellent location overlooking the harbour with magnificent views from the bar, restaurant area and rooftop. Great acess to the business area of Valetta and other tourist areas. Greatest strengths-views and location!

The British hotel is in a superb location with spectacular views over the grand harbour(make sure you get a sea view room) the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little bit tired and in need of some TLC but if you want to stay in Valetta in a great location with great views and friendly people at a reasonable price this is the place . We will certainly return.

A hotel of character with great views from the restaurant Outdated minimalism poor quality breakfast not worth the money thats charged.

Friendly and helpful staff, superb location, great views over Grand Harbour, good breakfast and restaurant, remarkably outdated decor, free wifi but only around the restaurant/bar area. Overall, a good base for exploring Valetta and surrounds, especially if you plan to spend most of your time sightseeing!

Emplacement super: très jolie vue si la chambre donne sur la mer, hôtel très proche du centre ville. Malheureusement problème du côté du ménage qui n'a été fait qu'une fois en 8 jours. Les lits étaient confortables mais les canapés qui se trouvaient dans la chambre étaient complètement effondrés.

エレベーターがないにもかかわらず、、スーツケースを運ぶのを手伝ってももらえないなど、、従業員の対応は最低です。また、部屋も非常に狭い上に、ほこりだらけで汚く、シャワーもほとんど出ない。。。最悪のホテルです。安くても二度と泊まりたくありません。

In base al prezzo che ho pagato non si puo' pretendere di piu',ottima la posizione dell'albergoche ti permette di andare al centro di malta.

Takviften var ute av fungsjo, så det sto en bråkete gulv-vifte på gulvet, den måtte vi slå av om natten p.g.a. støyen fra viften. Valgte dette for at d låi Valetta.Dyrt hotell, da det bare hadde 2 stjerner.Standaren tilsa heller ikke mere enn 2 stjerner.Før dette hadde vi bodd 17 dager fordelt på 3 steder.Bodde da på 4 stjerners rett ved badested,sentralt, m basseng,m.m. og med DEN frokosten og betalte bare ca.15-20 Euro mere pr.døgn for 2 pers idobbeltrom! Og her var det ikke frokost inkl.

Lettere slidt hotel der bestemt ikke er egnet til gangbesværede gæster,der er mange trapper. Personalet er meget venlig og hjælpsom.

L'hôtel est très bien situé le long de Grand Harbourg. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une chambre munie d'un balcon vitré avec vue exceptionnelle, sur la rade et les trois cités, ce qui est loin d'être le cas de toutes les chambres. Le confort de la chambre est très moyen : lits d'une personne trop petits, deux canapés défoncés, salle d'eau minuscule, guéridon sur balcon à jeter. Le gros point faible est le petit-déjeuner de qualité très, très médiocre, avec un service vraiment minimal, dans un décor très vieillot

Bättre utsikt och läge går knappast att få. Rent och städat men slitet. Första natten var det lite kallt i rummet innan vi fattade hur "värmefläkten" fungerade. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukosten mager definitivt inget att hålla sig mätt på någon längre stund

Notre chambre était un peu vieillote et sans confort particulier, par contre l'hôtel est bien placé à La Valette, d'un prix correct et certaines salles et vues sont très agréables (salle du petit déjeuner, vue du toit notamment). Our room was a bit old fashion and not particularly comfortable. However the hostel location is very good in La Valette, the price is not so expensive and in some rooms (esp.the brekfast restaurant and on the roof) you can have a nice view over the city.

British hotell ligger i utkanten av sentrum på sørsiden av gamlebyen Valletta. Flott plassering mot sjøen. Velg gjerne rom på sjøsiden. Enkel standard, men stilig å sitte på terrassen mot sjøen og spise frokost eller middag, eller ta en drink i solnedgangen. Gratis wifi. 5 minutter gange til Merchant street. Hvis du ikke MÅ bo på 5-stjerners, er dette et godt alternativ.

Hotellet er gammelt, noget er renoveret, det har en fantastisk beliggenhed med udsigt over havnen.

The hotel is a very old one. It's in the middle of the centre and close to the bus station and sightseeing in Valletta. Our room had a great view over the water. The staff was very friendly! But the breakfast was very, very bad! If you book this hotel, make sure you don't pay/take for breakfast. You can do that perfectly in the neighbourhood! Our shower was very small for 3 persons and the maintnance was bad!

The hotel is clearly old and needs to be refurbished, but what a view ... It is ideally located in Valetta, 5 min walk to anywhere in the center. Rooms are "ok". A bit too old, but still : it is clean. Staff is great and always very helpful. Breakfast is fine.

CENTRICO, ECONOMICO, BUEN TRATO Y AMABLES. HABITACION CON VISTAS MUY BUENAS. SERVICIO LIMPIEZA MEDIOCRE.

hotel valable pour les chambres avec vue refaites.Chambres inland vétustes. Petit déjeuner sommaire.Un peu limite. Dommage!
