ad a great time here, hotel itself and its location were great! better than we were expecting! will definitely go back!

extremely small room at the top of stairway that was more of a ladder. great location if you want to be in the middle of the party scene. very friendly staff who also operate the bar on the first level. it was adequate go what I needed... 8 clean bed to sleep in.

Basic hotel but very very clean, the pillows weren't great but we got more just as soon as we asked. The room was spacious enough and shower and toilet facilities were above average, lots of hot water and good quality towels. Smoking is allowed in the rooms yet the place didn't have a stale smokey smell. The stairs are manageable, the just look scarey! Earplugs are provided but we didn't use them as listening to the outside noise was almost part of the pleasure of this above average hotel. We will be back!

Excellent hostel with a fantastic location, five minute walk to dam square and the red light district is only around the corner. The stairs is a lil steep but manageable. I would recommend this hostel.

Hotel is centrally located, walking distance from Centraal station. Hotel is very basic, it's really more of a hostal; shared bathrooms etc. It is very noisey, ear plugs were provided at the bed side. It's also worth googling the name of the street and the neighbourhood it may or may not suit your needs. I found that the pictures were not very representative of the rooms. If you are looking for cheap accomodation centrally located and you dont mind the noise it's good, if you are looking for a quiet stay in the city and a peaceful stay this is not for you.

Great little place right on the edge of the red light district. Close to the central train station which is also great. Can be a little noisy at night due to being right next to red light district but you are supplied with ear plugs and most people staying here will most likely be young and partying in any case. Staircase is VERY steep, have to see it to believe it. You're allowed to smoke in the rooms which is also a plus for most backpackers. Rates are decent and staff are pretty nice too. Private rooms with communal toilet/showers. Some rooms have their own toilet/shower. Stayed here twice now and will come back as will my friends.

hotel was good and clean bed was a bit hard the stairs are high but managable staff in bar were very friendly an d helpful right in the middle of it all smoking is allowed in rooms which was good would stay here again

If you are the type that has to stay in 4 star restaurants with all the amenities then this is not for you. That said, considering how expensive hotels/hostels are in Amsterdam, yes its a 1-star, yes its true about the stairs (you have to understand that amsterdam buildings are build high/up not sideways/wide so these stairs and the size of the room are the norm for most buildings in amsterdam and i like it because it gives it an authentic feel) , yes its above a bar and the bartender is also the front desk man, yes its shared bath and shower. The location you definitely cannot beat. Its on the most popular street in red light district where all the bars/food/and coffee shops are. Don't mind the rumors, this area is the safest in Amsterdam bc of the strict security around the red light district. Theres also so many tourists, young and older and families with babies and kids strolling around so it really is a safe and cool place to hang out. Your definitely gonna ruff it out in a place like this but you have all your basic necessities met, clean bathroom and shower, clean room, clean towels (not plush), room cleaned every day, clean sheets and bed (we did not have any bug problems), bartender/staff nice, they provide foam earplugs to help with the noise at night since it is above all the bars/restaurants. Would i stay here again? Definitely! only thing i would change is to backpack it next time, LOL we were the suckers who had to carry there ~50 lbs luggage up the stairs!! that was a fun experience!!

Good spot to stay, the staff are nice. However there are a few negatives. You need coaching from Sir Edmund Hilary to climb an descend the stairs. these would be the steepest and shortest tred stairs I have seen in my 62 years and there was no offers of assistance to carry our bags up this cliff face. Also the beds were very uncomfortable.

Very good location close to the central train station and the city center as well, friendly and helpful staff, nice room. During the night the room was a bit noisy, but for us it wasn't a problem. Highly recommended to choose hotel, next time for sure we will stay here again.

The hotel is very conveniently located, near Central Station and City Center. The rooms are just above an old bar. Therefore it is very noisy until at leat 3AM even on weekdays. Rooms are very ran down, and very small. I recommend this hotel if you are in Amsterdam for partying . The price is low compared to other hotels in the area. Worth the value if you don't expect too much.

The hotel and staff were lovely. The bar had a real family like atmosphere to it with the staff seeming so close and interacting with allthe customers. The room was basic but nice. Comfortable bed, big wardrobe and with a nice TV with several English channels. Missed my hairdryer dearly though. Only thing that really annoyed me was that the toilet light went out for 2 days and the shower door wouldn't lock. Meaning my friend had to stand outside on guard. The location is perfect being only 5 minutes from central station and right around the corner from the red light district. And another 5 minute walk to Dam square. Would definitely recommend

This is in the ideal position near enough to everything. The rooms are basic but very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The stairs, however, are not for the faint hearted! Toilet and shower room on our floor spotless! Shower brilliant and hot! The only small complaint is that the room was too hot, not able to turn off radiator, and it is too noisy to leave window open all night.

Our room (number 11) was great - first floor with twin beds, table and chair, cupboard and enough room to be able to chill out when it got a bit too hectic down the street. Unfortunately the TV didn't work but we found the cable was ripped in two near the window on our last night which would explain that (not sure if human or rat responsible - we didn't see any rats while there though)... We were able to smoke in the room which was an added bonus and basically were left to our own devices with the ability to come and go as we pleased using the side entrance. A lot of people have made comments about the level of noise from the street, but to be fair they provide you with earplugs and its not that noisy anyway - some people are just agony aunts on these review sites... I can honestly say that out of all the places i have stayed in Amsterdam (7 times over and each time i try a different place to stay) this one is definitely top 3... Oh, also before i forget - LOVE THE STAIRS, & THE SHOWER PERFECT!!

Super centralt og tæt på alt det man skal se i Amsterdam. Hotellet var ikke det bedste, men personalet var super flinke og placeringen opvejede det. Man deler bad og toilet med de andre værelser, men det er vist meget normalt i Amsterdam... Ønsker man en super central placering er det her stedet!

Vi klev in i en mysig liten pub med trevlig och rolig personal. Sen ledde en smal, brant trappa oss upp till vindsvåningen. Vi fick en liten svit utan en enda rak vinkel. Mysigt i sin enkelhet. Helt klart över förväntan när man bokar ett en stjärnigt hotell! I utkanten av Red light district, så ganska hög ljudnivå på natten men hotellet står med öronproppar :) Nära och bra till Centralstationen. Vi sov där bara en natt så kvaliteten på städningen är okänd, det va dock rent och fint när vi kom. Överlag väldigt nöjda!

Na 4lůžkovém pokoji vcelku čisto, je to hotel skvěle umístěný - blízko Hl.nádraží i centra, dole je bar s příjemnou obsluhou. Na snídani je dobré zajít si poblíž do Cafeterie, kde mají dobré snídaně i pohodové ceny. Celkově hotel rozhodně doporučuji. Viliam

J'ai mis une note générale de 1 car malgré la propreté des chambres( tout de même relative), nous sommes tombés de haut en débarquant dans la chambre!!! C'est simple: nous n'y avons retrouvé AUCUN élément des photos... C'était le jour et la nuit. Malheureusement c'était super glauque! Nous ne recommandons pas si on veut une chambre un MINIMUM mignonne et confortable.

Wir waren 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel und genossen die Zeit sehr. Das Hotel war sauber, wurde täglich gereinigt und man hatte jederzeit Zutritt durch eine moderne Chip-Karte. Die Lage ist überaus zentral, nahe vom Bahnhof, nahe der Shopping-Strassen (egeintlich gerade darin) und hinter dem Haus beginnt einen Teil des Rotlichtviertels. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger Minuspunkt: WC, sowie Dusche werden gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen benützt. (Kein Drama, aber ich habe es persönlich lieber im Zimmer ;-D)

Ce petit Hôtel est très bien situé, à 2 mn de la gare et à l'entrée du quartier rouge. Les douches et wc sont sur le palier partagés avec 3 chambres. L'ensemble est propre et bien entretenu. Le personnel est très accueillant. Par contre il est assez assez bruyant mais un jeu de boules Quies est à disposition dans les chambres. Globalement il a un bon rapport qualité prix.

Hotelli erittäin vähän vaativille vieraille jotka sietävät kaupungin meteliä. Edes korvatulpat eivät onnistuneet täysin poistamaan meluhaittoja. Kuvat hotellin kotisivuilla eivät TODELLAKAAN vastanneet todellisuutta, en tiedä mistä nuo kyseiset kuvat oli napattu mutta ei ainakaan tästä hotellista! Sänky oli epämukavimpia missä olen ikinä joutunut nukkumaan, huone löyhkäsi tupakansavulta eikä huoneessa ollut muutenkaan mitään samaa kuin kuvissa. Lisäksi meillä piti olla huoneessa oma kylpyhuone/wc, vaan eipä ollut.. Hyvää hotellissa oli se että central station ja palvelut olivat lähellä, mutta siihen taitavat hyvä puolet jäädäkin. En voi suositella kenellekään, enkä aio toiste poiketa tähän hotelliin.

coté moins: assez bruyant, douches et toilettes sur le palier partagés avec 3 chambres, mais bon ça va c propre et nettoyés tout les jours. coté plus: la situation! à 2min de la gare, 1min30 du quartier rouge, dans un quartier très sympa, le personnel est agréable.

Kjempe beliggenhet, greie rom, koselig bar under leiligheten...men må bruke ørepropper på natten :-)

Sijaitsee menopaikkojen keskellä, jos sitä etsii. Huoneet pieniä, wc ja suihku sijaitsee käytävällä. Liikenne ja jatkuva ihmisvirta aiheuttaa melua.

Sabia que era una estrella, pero no me imaginaba que era un tanto elemental: acceder a las habitaciones por una peligrosa escalera, abajo hay un bar con mucho ruido. Escasamente comodo.Imposible para una estadia prolongada, solo es util si no conseguis en otro lugar y por un par de dias. Hay ByB mas baratos y mejores que estos hoteles de una estrella

Hôtel correct au vu du prix. Confort proche d'une auberge de jeunesse plus que d'un hôtel. Personnel très sympathique

... Hotel Internationaal is a great place to stay. If you don't mind sharing toilet and shower with your floor, nor does it bother you that the nightlife of Amsterdam will pump through the windows or that the beds are pre-war and rock-hard, then this place is for you!

Hôtel situé dans le centre d'amsterdam (a 5 min à pied de là gare centrale) Rue bruyante, bar en dessous des chambres, vieux et mauvaises odeurs... Tarifs trop élevés pr une telle prestation

Perfekt hotell/hostel om man ska vara i Amsterdam några dagar och vill bo så nära det mesta för att hinna med så mycket som möjligt! Fräscht överallt och trevlig personal! Kommer garanterat bo där igen! Fick även röka på rummet med öppet fönster! :)

Hostellin sijainti oli paras mahdollinen (juna-asema ja kaikki palvelut aivan vieressä) ja hinta on huokea. Siisteyden puolesta kaikki kunnossa (vessa/kylpyhuone jaettu, mutta nekin ihan ok siistit). Sijainti ja heikko äänieristys takaavat että hiljaista EI ole yölläkään, joten jos olet herkkäuninen, vältä tätä. Muilta osin paikka oli ok, eikä palvelussakaan moittimista.
