Green Man Inn - مالتون

Friendly staff but accommodation only average and the noisiest Celler air conditioning unit situated outside our room meant a very poor nights sleep. Good freshly cooked breakfast though.

This hotel has to be by far the most worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the entrance in the hotel was vacant spokey and dirty. The reception was in the bar that consisted of dated furniture, a dusty bar and an unfriendly receptionist who could even show us to our room. The walk to the room was like a walking around faulty towers - the steps were steep and the carpet has worn down to the under lay. The bed itself was a joke, the need to be replaced and there was no mattress cover on the beds. The bath room and the room it self consisted of dated furniture and paint that is coming of the walls along with the wall paper. The hotel is NOT fit for purpose, the noise of un-oiled doors and mice running around through the walls is a sure sign the "Hotel" needs to be closed down. The breakfast in the morning was clearly reheated and cooked some hours before hand with dried out burnt bacon and beans (if was not if consumption). I feel so hard done by, only for I has an interview the following day I would have been out of there like a shot.

Excellent staff, decor tired, but bed clean and comfortable. Food both quality and quantity first rate. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quite comfortable budget hotel in a convenient location. On the down side there was no TV in bedroom and no real ale in bar, but they did recommend an excellent pub in the town for the latter.

Extensive mould in the bathroom, cobwebs in the bedroom on the light fitting and in the corners. Staff were pleasant enough, but the stay would have been more enjoyable if we'd been able to shower!! Having said that, the hotel was right in the town square and close to several restaurants and pubs, which were reasonably priced. York was just a 20 min journey away so good for visiting the York tourist sites.

Horrible smell, TV did not work, The water in the shower would not turn warm, Breakfast was a joke.. All in all a very lousy performance !
