had an amazing 3-night stay. great staff and very hospitable. aquarium rooms are wonderful and serene. the only drawback is taxi access after midnight which can be non-existent unless you walk blocks away to main street.

The boutique hotel is a nice idea, the room layout is super modern, but the execution is not 100% thin doors, noise travels easily from the hallway to inside the room. hotel has only 2 floors, 1 side is view of the marine stadium the other side is view of manila bay. i was lucky enough to be on the room with the view of the marine stadium, was able to watch free laser and water night show, that was worth it. saved myself easily $50 usd for a couple. the room was modern, nice design, poor execution, great shower. had problem with the door lock literally a screw came lose. took almost an hour to fix. room service is at all times of the day. even at night. the front desk staff was very accommodating, the night shift manager was extremely helpful and took charge. by my own mistake i booked 2 beds instead of just 1. i was first told they couldn't fix it, then after my persistence, the night manager fixed it. she was very helpful. nice boutique hotel, its not for everyone. the front of the hotel has lots of construction. the lobby and hotel are not necessary connected. small walking distance between both. overall nice hotel.

We only stayed one nite on a layover returning to USA from Butuan City Philippines. If we return we will definitely stay again (hopefully) longer! Very friendly, helpful staff. Gorgeous room, We had a beautiful view of Manila Bay! Loved the fact that there is a shopping & restaurant type mall inside the hotel bldg. so you don't have to leave!

wonderful Hotel very clean room ......use of internet with own laptop in room is free along with 2 cans of coke, water & snacks. Hotel is inside of Manila ocean park theres great places to eat, 2 bars with very nice outside/inside pool with bar.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel H2O! The staff were always very pleasant and helpfull. The included wifi access was nice. Overall a good value ( I stayed my last night in Manila at the Hyatt. An only slightly nicer (club) room at the Hyatt was over 3X as much with the extra 800php for 24hr high speed internet! I would definately stay at H2O again! In fact, I will probably stay there the night before I fly out.

We booked the amazing Aqua Rooms which was definately worth the extra money- The Aquarium Theme is so fascinating and keeps you more entertained than the TV :) There were 9 of travelling together and each pair their own Aqua Room- The Hotel Service was very friendly and comforting. They always attended to our needs upon request (very fast service also). Free Wireless and Basic Mini-Bar was also a treat! Very impressed and cant wait to go again!

Excellent Hotel, Very clean and modern. Had a beautiful view of the manila ocean bay from our room and it was nice. Room was extremely clean and well maintained. Free high speed internet access, lots of small kiosks and shops downstairs. Hotel entrance is located inside Manila Ocean Park Complex. Taxi's are hard to find later at night time. Pool closes at 5pm for some kind of aquatic show. Watch out for weekends, resturants downstairs extremely packed and hard to get a table on weekends.

Hotel staff was great. I was accidentally placed in a double room insteabof a queen and they fixed the problem right away. It is good information to know that although the bayview rooms have a great view of the bayr only the parkview rooks have the aquarium in the room. Overall stay was great accommodations were wonderful and the complimentary mini bar was a nice perk.

For the amount that we paid was very happily surprised at the quality of the room. Absoulutely delightful hotel and they stored our luggage for 10 days at no cost even though we were not coming back to that hotel.

The hotel is not yet complete. No body assist us when we proceed to our assigned room. The room is good and clean but they dont have a guide on how to used the tv. The's no channel list. We saw another two remote control on the bedside. We just tried to check on the purpose of the said units. I would be better if they can provide a guide on it.

this is a nice hotel but it was not for me. It was a little to out of the way for me. It also was expensive for breakfast each day.

the room was awesome!!! one of the walls was an aquairium......the walls were thin and could here people on the other side. hard to get a taxi late at night. if this hotel was in makati i would stay at his place every visit

It's a pity. This is an incredible property with an impressive concept that is plagued with an inadequate management and engineering team. My 6 day stay required moving to 4 different rooms. The first room had a disco literally outside the bayview glass that thumped and vibrated the whole room. When I complained the Manager on duty acknowledged that this was a regular complaint and "upgraded" me to a room where I needed to call the front desk to get a burst of AC. After the 6th AC request I complained and the Manager on Duty acknowledged they have been having this problem for quite some time. I was "upgraded" again to the third room, which was a suite with an aquarium, but I was unable to sleep because the main aquarium pump system was in the room just behind the bed. When I complained the front desk attendant explained that the noise was necessary to oxygenate the fish. I explained that quiet was necessary for a hotel guest to sleep. The fish won out because they could/would not move me in the middle of the night nor would they turn the pump off. I did however, finally fall asleep in this room, on the floor, across from the aquarium pump station. Unfortunately, I was abruptly awakened at 8:00 am when the roto-hammer and pounding began coming from the construction a floor beneath me. I complained again and was again made aware that the Hotel had previous complaints regarding these same issues. I asked to speak with upper management many, many times. Upper mangement did not return my calls. I wanted to know why the management would continually "upgrade" a customer into rooms with histories of progressively worse conditions. I also wanted compensation of any type other than the dreaded "upgrade". I explained that I did not want or need "perks" like an aquarium or multiple showers and multiple TV sets. I just wanted a quiet and comfortable room to get some rest while I visited. I was eventually moved into the forth room in six days. I learned not to unpack at Hotel H2o

all in all this place is an experience. if you are staying in a socalled aqua room you should not tend to be claustrophobic. one wall is a huge aquarium, but the room lacks any window, therefore no daylight. for one night ok but for a longer stay imho impossible. the staff is obviously drilled to be friendly, which they are. but most of them also highly incompetent. the really average breakfast is one floor down in a completely different location. also worth mentioning is that the hotel is placed in an entertainment complex which might be good for some, but....

Quite, new rooms, great view of Manila Harbour / Not to many restaurant options near / Friendly staff / good gym / good value for money

The hotel, which just opened in early 2010, is architecturally beautiful. But there were a lot of little issues after I checked in (nothing big). I talked with the Manager the next morning who took steps which more than made up for things. Definitely spend the extra money and get an interior room which has an aquarium wall. I liked that this hotel is atop a mall-like building with lots of food places and stores. Hated the bathroom door/wall which is frosted glass. It doesn’t leave much to the imagination seeing someone in their doing their business.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nites & 2 days. Front of House service failed on 2 important occasions to pass-on messages. First was a bunch of relatives from the province did not get the contact mobile phone #. and waited 2 1/2 hours until our return (we did not know they have arrived !). On the 2nd occasion, a request was made at 10pm on the nite prior for a wake-up call at 3:30am ( for an early morning international departure ) ... it would have been a "revolution" had I missed my flight !! Definitely these unsophisticated reception staff require to be trained-up if they wish to be part of what is quite a sophisticated industry !!!

Very happy with the H2O hotel. The staff was fantastic, and very helpful. The rooms were clean up to date and comfortable.

The location, near the Manila Ocean Park, can be both challenging & entertaining. The days I was there were school vacation, so there were lot's of enthusiastic little people racing around. If you are interested in marine life, you could not find a better hotel. The hotel lobby & common areas were clean & well-appointed. The room was on the small side, but also well-appointed and comfortable. I read lot's of negative comments on the breakfast buffet; in my opinion, totally unfounded! The buffet had an Asian flavor for sure, but I was able to have a great bacon & egg breakfast, also enjoying some of the Asian side items. The internet service was better than I have seen at many 4-star hotels. Each room had a router, so there was a strong signal even on the upper floors. All my interactions with hotel staff were pleasant, and successful. I found all the staff very friendly & responsive. I wanted to see an aqua room, but was unable. Next time I'm in Manila, I will certainly stay at the H20.

Room concept is innovative with large aquarium in aqua rooms. Very nice view of Manila Bay; convenient to Luneta park, Malate area and a short taxi ride to Mall of asia.

The hotel was above my expectations. I've read some reviews written by people who have had issues with their stay. My stay there was very pleasant and satisfying. I originally only booked for 3 nights, but after the 2nd night I booked for an additional 7 nights. The staff was very friendly and each one greeted me whenever I saw them. The concierge fulfilled all of my requests. My wife also liked it and suggested we stay there again for next years trip.

Hotel's location is'nt the most conveniently located place to stay, the entrance is so many feet away and you always find yourself squeezing yourself thru a big crowd since the hotel is a part of the Manila Ocean Park. For guests with kids, this is an excellent place to stay due to the variety of things to do and see, but not ideal for people seeking peace and quiet.

Hotel H2O is quite new. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. They even granted my request for a change room. Check in was a bit slower than usual maybe cause they were only two staff checking in about 30 to 40 people. The hotel was a little confusing to find amidst the herds of visitors of Manila Ocean Park located at exactly the same place. The rooms were really nice and clean although I wish they didn't have glass walls and glass doors for their bathroom/shower/toilet - even though it was acrylic glass doors one can still see through the silhouette of what was going on. It was less privacy that what I would've wanted. The buffet breakfast was disappointing. Overall it was a really nice hotel. I would go back.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I even rate it higher than the new Mariott in manila where I also stayed during my trip to manila. The only thing I would change is the access to the hotel from the main street. It seems the Aqua center is a big hit and the enormous amount of people around the area makes it somewhat overwhelming just to get to the hotel itself. The staff at your hotel has the talent of a 5-star hotel staff -- very accommodating, courteous and with "New York" response speed. The acqua room is unique. Very peaceful watching the aquarium wall. The bathroom is well appointed and the courtesy personal hygiene stuff is more than a welcome. In most hotels, they do not even give you a toothbrush. One item I feel that most travelers forget to pack. The simplistic design of the bathroom is a beauty but the function is a little bit short since there is not much privacy if your using the toilet, the shower water most likely will drip on the bathroom floor once you open the shower door which doubles as a bathroom main entry door. The cold draft of the room which comes from the AC is not blocked by the main door of the bathroom making it a little bit uncomfortable lounging in the bathroom without clothes. Overall, this hotel beats Mariott and Sharing-la. Though they must offer a better breakfast array for their clients.

Very nice hotel, except it was so busy at the Ocean Park we never bothered to enjoy the immediate surroundings. Instead we went down the road to the Sofitel to enjoy meals and a much nicer ambience. The breakfast was very, very average.

The breakfast was much less extensive and much more Asian oriented than when I stayed here in July. My bathroom faucet in the room was broken and it took some time for them to fix it. The lobby and lounge are so very cold, you can't sit in them even with pants and a sweater. The exercise room had no towels, the machines were not cleaned regularily, staff members were often absent, and there were no cups for water. I also didn't receive complementary passes to the Aquarium like in July. We also asked for the robes "available on request," but never received them. Our key cards also expired everyday, as did our internet access - annoying to have to walk down to the lobby all the time. The service at the two restaurants main restaurants was also inattentive. It is often difficult to get a taxi from the hotel. The room, however, was beautiful, cozy, and had fish - which is why I still recommend it.

Close to mall of asia...maybe 20 minutes,25 if that...Also,there a robinson like maybe 5 to 10 miutes if that..

The hotel is nice. It is clean and kept up nicely. Yhe rooms are nice and spacious. The hotel is in a decent area and easy to get from the hotel to the airport or anywhere else. Nice location. Yhe biggest knock on this hotel is the breakfast. To be nice about, it sucks. But if that is not a big deal for you, then you can eat somewhere else. At least you have a clean and safe place to sleep in a area where you can get around. I would recommend.

I booked the Aquarium room and it was neat and unique. Make sure you close the aquarium blind before you sleep, otherwise the tank light will come on at 6am and wake you, despite the check in note saying it comes on at 7am. Also realize that despite the room being decently lit when the aquarium light is on, you have no ambient light in that room. While this didn't bother me, if you're claustrophobic it may bother you. Room was very nice and comfortable. The glass shower door was also the bathroom door when swung the other way, so your privacy is compromised since part of the glass wall is clear, so be warned depending who your roommate is. Breakfast included is very decent, but I've seen better. View of the bay from the restaurant is very nice though. Nice outside patio bar facing the bay for after dinner drinks. Fitness room has a good assortment of equipment. I would stay here again, but book another room instead of the aquarium room so I can have an outside view. Location of the hotel is not that convenient if you want to be walking distance to where the locals go, but usually no more than a 40p taxi ride away. Lots of school kids surround the ground floor awaiting the aquarium. Occasional events are staged outside in the parking lot.

I chose this hotel because of the aquarium wall that was in the room. It was everything I had expected. The room architecture was very unique, spacious, and had a "water" theme. It is on the expensive side. There is a bar downstairs as well as one on the 3rd floor. The gym is also on the 3rd floor. Although the equipment was new there was not that much equipment and also the air con in the gym is set at very low. There is not very many restaurants and clubs within walking distance. Would recommend stay if visiting Ocean Park or willing to take cabs to places of interest. The checkout process at this hotel appears to be somewhat disorganized.

Very new and clean hotel, aquarium room is a must try, and seeing 300 fish eating in front of you in feeding time is unforgettable. very close to famous tourist spots, like the intramurals, about 20 min to Greenbelt in Makati and 10 min away by taxi to mall of asia (in weekend traffic). The neighborhood is not as modern as makati, but the hotel itself is definitely 4 star +, when you walk out of the hotel front door, you can feel the "real philippines", a safe neighborhood though. the hotel spa is quite cheap and they have those "dead skin eating" fish for you to try. Breakfst is quite good too, with variety of philippine food and western. Didn't have time to visit the aquarium but it's looks quite good, a bit too small though in western standard. Wifi is free, but you'll have to get passsword from front desk. Things can be improved though, like bathroom tends to flood everytime you take a shower, and room door is quite thin and can hear people talking in the corridor. you can hear slight music from the bar underneath the room at night, but for me, it's acceptable. Be prepaired to pay more for taxi from hotel, yellow taxi (for tourist) is double the price of local (white) taxi and hotel car is triple. but they are more safe. Most local taxi driver have no clue what H2O hotel is, just ask them to go to manila ocean park, or make sure you find a landmark like the "Manila Hotel" (very easy to spot), I have to "teach" one of the taxi driver how to get to our hotel!

When people are walking and talking in the hall way it was as if they were in my room. I called the front desk and asked to be move to another room that was off the beaten path nothing happen, I asked to have the manager contact me he never did. The AC was not working, it to hot or to cold. After 3 nights there I took the lost on paying for 10 nights and went to the Marriott. No room service at the HO2, when I went to restaurants I could not charge to my room. DO NOT STAY THERE!

Its was like the Hilton built on top of chucky cheese, and sea world. Something wasnt didnt seem right about the property. people were nice and service was good. Just not the type of place i would return. It wasnt for couples, maybe more of a family destination.

Amazing hotel. Great service. The aquarium room was very cool. The bar on floor below is right onManila Bay. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very modern and new hotel located in the Manila Ocean Park complex. The rooms are well appointed with veiws of the park and water show area or full sized aquariums as a room feature wall. As a downside, depending on when you arrive you get dropped at the front of the ocean park entrance and have to carry your luggage a distance to the actual hotel. In most instances the hotel staff are available to assist. There are a number of reastaurants in the complex for lunch and evening meals as well as a shuttle service to a number of key locations including the Mall of Asia. The restaurant on the 2nd level that is used for breakfast meals is quite disorganised and the selection quite limited (worse omelet I have ever had)

This is a unique hotel located in the same building as an aquarium. The rooms either have a view of Manila bay or instead of a window a wall sized aquarium full of tropical fish. The aquarium rooms are pretty unique. Previous reviews complain about the service- they must have done something about this because it seemed excellent to me. All the staff I encountered were polite and attentive. Near the hotel are some very good seafood restaurants and the area is one of the least congested and most relaxing spots in Manila.
