This was my second stay at the Wingate Tuscaloosa. I enjoy the free breakfast buffet . This is an economical place to stay when visiting University students or coming in for a game. The room was comfortable and clean.

15 min ride to univ of alabama campus. not much around hotel in way of restaurants. clean rooms, good staff.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was neat and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Bathroom was dirty. Mildew in the shower. Hair on the floor from previous guests. Definitely could have does better at a different hotel for the cost of this one.

Great place to stay! The look and feel of the our room was very appealing, it even had hardwood floors. It was very clean too. They also have a good breakfast complete with eggs&bacon, potatoes, biscuits&gravy (besides the usual stuff). Friendly staff.

I love this hotel. Staff are all really nice and helpful. This stay however was a little lackluster. I stayed in room 512 and it had water damage that desperately needed repair. And the breakfast wasn't as well kept up as my previous stays. I definitely would stay there again but would request a different room if I was placed in that particular room again.

The hotel and room was clean and had nice finishes throughout. We checked in very late and the night manager was cordial and helpful. The breakfast buffet was average, but included in the rate and honestly what I was anticipating. Overall, it was a pleasant quick sleep on the way to our destination. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

I reserved this room based on reviews from other guests. We arrived late on a Saturday night. The hardwood floors were nice. Lots of debris around the baseboards but otherwise they were nice. The room was nicely furnished. Plenty of towels, etc. Unfortunately the reviews didn't mention that housekeeping begins yelling to each other and begin banging on your door at 8:00 a.m. Or that the front desk seems to think it's funny. Or that the culprits make snide remarks to you about waking you up early. Now I understand why the hotel parking lot was virtually empty at check in and at check out. Obviously other guests have had the same experience. I will never stay here again.

I have stayed at several hotels in the area during football season. The beds in this one was by far the most comfortable. It is an extremely nice hotel and pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The location is a little out of the way. Overall a great stay!

Lovely, roomy hotel. Good variety in breakfast items. Very clean.

I was frankly a little surprised by how nice my room was. Bathroom also very nice! Check-in and out was a breeze. This is a classy joint. I didn't explore the rest of the hotel so I can't comment on facilities or the breakfast.

Not sure how old the hotel is, but it seems new. Nice decor, comfy bed, quiet, loved it. receommend highly

Overall, the hotel met our needs for this trip. We stayed at this location after a Tennessee / Mississippi State football game a few towns over. The surrounding location didn't matter to us as much, because it was on the way back home. The hotel is right off the exit, so it's relatively easy to get to. It's about 5 minutes away from the University of Alabama, so this would be a good place to stay for Crimson Tide fans or visiting opponent fans. Our room was clean, the staff was relatively nice, the bed was comfortable, the tv isn't that great (the channels are fuzzy), and depending on which side of the hotel you stay on, one side looks out over a car junk yard (which isn't the greatest view). But in review, this was a safe and enjoyable place to stay. I would stay there again. Breakfast was so, so. Go for the waffles!

While the hotel was somewhat worn and the rugs were stained and tired,the hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. While it was nice to have the breakfast included in the room rate, the eggs were thin, the sausage was not good and the packaged sweet rolls were not enticing.The staff was nice and helpful. However to be fair, typically we stay in 4 star hotels and this hotel was not advertised in that category.

All good except would like real pillows...not foam

Other pet friendly hotels are quite low-end. This is much nicer. It costs more than the low end chains, but it is worth it for the clean, quiet and comfortable room.

All was really good, except our keys had to get remade everday. I would get all the way to our room and the keys did not work.

Staff was friendly and helpful

I enjoyed the hotel. The room needed some touch up's. There were white stains on the cloth desk chair. Wall marks and scuffs. The bed made noises when I moved. Alll in all, the staff was great. Loved the wood floors and the beds were very comfortable. I was there to move my son into college. I guess the location was good too. It wasn't in the middle of all the ciaos. Easy access to the highway.

My stay was excellent but Hotels.com was less than accommodating.A situation prevented me from staying 2 nights and I called 24 hours in advance of second night. The Central America staff could not assist me and I was forced to call the manager of Wingate who was excellent in handling the situation,.

Small cosmetic defects in room, a/c was a little difficult to regulate, but overall a comfortable night, and a hearty breakfast

the hotel is very nice, beds are really comfy, but the staff was amazing. everyone I came in contact with, from checking in to checking out, housekeeping, night shift gentlemen.....outstanding.

Compared to other hotels in Tuscaloosa, this Wingate is nicer. Other hotels "at this level" in the area are pretty run down and outdated but this hotel is updated and clean. However, they say they're a non-smoking hotel but they're really not. There are large ashtrays on either side of the front door so there's no way to avoid it. Also, the hotel has designated smoking areas.

This is one of those places Mama referred to as "nasty clean". As long as you don't really look, it is OK. Our room met us with a strong odor, maybe pet? IDK, but turning on the AC helped. One of the beds sagged in the middle and was very hard. Both of these things are deal breakers for me, hence the low rating. CONS? View of car repair place, dirty rug in reception, room dust, hair and dust on drinking glasses. PROS? Cold AC and pretty furnishings. I doubt I would stay again.

Six miles from the university. Easy access to the highway. Convenient and well lit parking. The rooms have a comfortable bed, pillows were soft and clean. Personell was friendly. It is a pet friendly hotel so our carpet had some stains, otherwise the room was clean. Very recommendable!

Very positive experience! Loved the plank floors..no carpet yaay!!! The bed and fluffy pillows were so comfortable!!! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel, friendly and accomodating staff, room was spacious, extremely clean and beautifully decorated, the mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker were a bonus, the beds were so comfortable, there was a swimming pool and a jacuzzi downstairs that looked so inviting but we didn't have time to take advantage of them. Conveniently located just off the interstate. We would definitely stay here again!

For a small hotel in a small town, this hotel provided the best value we have had in our travels anywhere in the USA and we travel extensively. Could not be beat. From the hardwood floors in our gorgeous spacious room, the full breakfast provided each day, and every special request met, we give this hotel our top ratings.

The Wingate by Wyndham Tuscaloosa, was very accomdating, the staff was nice and very professional.

I have stayed at all of th emid to upper level hotels in Tuscaloos andthis one is by FAR the best!

The hotel staff could not be friendlier! The breakfast was very nice. The beds super comfortable. The hotel shows a bit of wear. The surrounding neighborhood not so great but the important things to me such as helpful & professional staff, cleanliness, comfortable beds, decent drive to University of Alabama were excellent!
