Le Grand Balcon - تولوز

We stayed for two nights - as a base to visit the Airbus factory. Location is right on the main square and although there is noise at night from the bars and cafes the hotel has soundproofed rooms so you can hardly hear it. Room was very comfortable and stylish but there was no air conn available and the room became very hot during the night. On the morning of our check out we arranged an alarm call for 6AM with reception the night before. we never got the call, luckily my wife woke at 6:30 AM so we didn't miss the cab arranged for 7:00AM. This was disappointing considering the hotel is rated as 5 star. Overall a nice hotel but let down by some fundamental requirements.

This hotel has been renovated in the spirit of the firsts pilots of the Aeropostale,as Saint Exsupery,..the decoration and comfort of rooms are perfect,..it is my best stay in Toulouse,..for such a price,

Excellent stay! Booked 2 nights for a business trip in Toulouse. Found hotel relaxing and comfortable with a good ambiance - it did all I wanted with free wifi, excellent location in the heart of the city and excellent room. I had a Cosy Single - room was OK for size with a good comfortable chair for working on the lap top. Room had complimentary soft drinks and an espresso machine! Good shower - although that leaked a little into the room. Found a (clean) pair of pants form a previous occupant under the towel stack! Apart from that cleanliness was good. Breakfast was good quality fare, with no hassle. My room was on the street side, and with the Beaujolais Nouveau being used for an excuse for a general party on one night, it was a little noisy until around 12, but what do you expect in France! Highly recommended.

I stayed at Le Grand Balcon for 6 nights for a business trip, and it was one of the best experiences I have had at a hotel in a long time. The rooms (and bathrooms) were clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the location can't be beat. The hotel staff were nice as can be and very attentive. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Toulouse, and I hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the future.

Service was excellent and the room although basic was good value. Breakfast very reasonable. Having high security fences around property is daunting, but probably necessary given the proximity to high rise public housing next door. The bus trip into town is approx 20 minutes and costs 1 euro and arrives every 15 minutes.

Cordial staff, pleasant feel and overall good value for a one-night get-away from the house, kids and dogs. Only noticed negative was the poor breakfast service: food was good but the presentation was a bit chaotic.

Perfect location, just off the Place du Capitole, but not too noisy.

I used the hotel as part of a business trip where my wife was travelling with me. The Hotel was great and actually more than what I expected. I am originally from Europe so know only too well how difficult it is to get a nice hotel, especially when you are used more to U.S. standards. The room is samll by US standards but good size by European standards. Decor was very modern and made the room seem more spacious than it really was. All of the facilites in the room worked well, shower etc was great. The room also had complimentry espresso, mini bar and wi fi, all pretty unusual for France. The location in excellent, right at the Capitole in the centre of downtown with plenty of good resturants, shopping and attractions. Overall a great value and would fully recommend the hotel. If you are driving get a GPS, Toulouse is difficult to navigate in and the streets in the center are very narrow with a lot of one way streets. Partking is available in the underground car park in the Capitole right across from the hotel. Make sure you have cash as the car park machines that validate your ticket do not accept US credit cards.

We stayed at Le Grand Balcon for one night, but found the location to be perfect for exploring the city. Located on Place Capitole, it's surrounded by some lovely bars, restaurants and shops. We stayed in a Classique room, which was small, but had everything you need for one night - comfy bed, great shower and lovely contemporary decor. Also had a nespresso machine in the room, which we found to be a nice addition. Would recommend the hotel to anyone who is on a short break in the city who is looking for something a bit different .

Le Grand Balcon most definitely lived up to expectations set by it's stylish website - love the little plane! It's still hard to find quality 'boutique hotels' in France - this one is a gem. The aviation theme is delightful and tasteful. The room was cosy as described but perfectly laid out so size didn't matter. Most welcome air con (it was 30 degrees outside), very comfortable bed and linen, Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary soft drinks and L'Occitaine bath products - everything a female traveling alone could wish for! The Receptionist was very helpful on arrival, placing a Client notice on my motorbike outside to ensure the Gendarmes didn't ticket it whilst I unloaded and sorted out parking. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel ambiance a calm, quiet and refreshing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Toulouse main centre right outside the door. I thoroughly recommend Le Grand Balcon - it's also incredibly good value for the price!

Set in the very centre of Toulouse, adjacent to the main square (though without overlooking views). Funky rooms with good beds, good bathroom, flatscreen tv (only CNN and BBCworld for the English-only speaking linguistically challenged though) with built in iPod dock. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast, if you can get in thrown in with the room rate. A great base for exploring Toulouse or as a stopover from or to the airport. I would imagine it's also very suitable for business if you're bored of Holiday Inn's.

Un hotêl tout simplement pas à la hauteur de nos attentes lors d'une réservation dans un 5 étoiles : A l'arrivée, aucune place pour stationner devant l'hôtel, aucun parking de prévu. On nous annonce un voiturier : ils facturent 4€ pour emmener notre voiture dans le parking public qui se trouve à 50m de l'hôtel... Plus le prix du parking (environ 20€ la nuit). Il serait plus pertinent de l'inclure dans le prix de la chambre plutôt que de refacturer un tel service à l'arrivée. Personne de vraiment disponible pour monter les bagages dans la chambre. Une jolie chambre, mais impossible de fermer l'oeil de la nuit. La place du Capitole est tellement bruyante toute la nuit, que nous sommes réveillés en permanence. Finalement, une prestation vraiment médiocre... J'ai été déçue !

Ich reise sehr viel in Frankreich, dies ist eines der wenigen Hotels, das alle seine Sterne wirklich verdient hat meiner Meinung nach. Einfach TOP.

Bonito hotel situado en el centro de Toulouse (el mejor sitio). moderno y limpio. Habitaciones confortables. Desayuno bueno. cons: no tiene gym.

Trés bien situé mais trés bruyant le soir

Tres agréable. Chambre privilège, grand confort et très bon accueil. À recommander. Nous y reviendrons lors de notre prochain passage à Toulouse.

El hotel está muy bien situado, junto a la plaza Capitole, pero aún así la habitación era muy silenciosa. La habitación cómoda y de diseño moderno.

Très bel hôtel, chargé d'histoire (hôtel qui a accueilli les plus grands noms de l'Aviation : St Exupéry, Berlioz, ...), refait à neuf. Extrêmement bien situé (hyper centre de Toulouse, à côté du Capitole). Très bon service de chambre. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Seul bémol : le lit, qui reste très confortable, mais qui n'est pas un "vrai" lit double (deux lits simples collés et recouverts par un drap). Il y a donc un petit creux au milieu du lit (mais rien de bien méchant). Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

superbe hotel de tres grande qualite, chambre comme sur les photo, personnel tres serviable, sont emplacement lui donne un charme suplementaire a 2 pas du capitole

Die Standard-Zimmer sind sehr klein und im Schrank kein Platz zum Kleider aufhängen. Frühstück gut, aber sehr teuer!

reception tres surprenante dans sa conception et sa sobriete..les chambres sont elegantes et spacieuses..le decor sobre est cependant un peu froid...heureusement que c etait l ete car en hiver le style doit faire froid dand le dos....mais je recommande fortement cet hotel...

The hotel met all the expectations I had after reading the previous visitors' comments and choosing to book. Practically it has all you need, efficiently set up, great ambiance, thoughtfully decorated with eye for the finishing touches, and very original. Would definitely choose to stay there again.

Hotel refait à neuf récemment. Les chambres sont design...sauf la chambre d Saint-Exupéry qui est classée. Celle-ci bénéficie en plus d'une belle vue sur la place du Capitole. Le personnel est très aimable, toujours à vote service.

Flott hotell i gå avstand til alt man trenger: turistinformasjon, shopping, kafeer, sightseeing, museum, restaurant, metro etc etc. Flotte ro. Selv om hotellet ligger midt i sentrum var det stille og rolig. Bra frokost og veldig god service.

Hôtel moderne, en plein coeur du centre ville, parking à proximité immédiate, personnel très accueillant. La chambre était confortable et très propre, bien que la porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas bien et que j'aurais aimé des volets plutôt que des double rideaux qui laissaient passer un peu le jour. Je recommande néanmoins cet hôtel, surtout pour une escapade romantique au coeur de la cité rose.

Trés bien, localisation exceptionnelle. Seule petite minus soit la capacité de la service de petit déjeuner. Reommandée sans hésitation.

Hotel design, belles prestations, chambres sobres et très confortables. Beaux mobiliers et prestations de qualité. Dormir en rêvant du petit prince, c'est que du bonheur...

Spent one night on a business trip. Nicely situated in heart of the city. Modern style, furniture and decoration. We got upgraded rooms that were big and with nice furniture. WLAN included. Breakfast was splendid.

La chambre etait tres belle mais petite pour un 4*. Super machine nespresso dans la chambre. Deco top. Espace commun petit. Peti dejeuner sympa mais pour un hotel moderne ils doivent vraiment travailler la presentation du buffet. Hotel tres trendy. J'ai bien aimé.

Dans l'ensemble l'hôtel est magnifique, bien situé, très agréable. Mais en arrivant dans notre chambre, surprise : Les toilettes n'ont pas été nettoyées et sont dans un état très sale !! De la poussière sur la table de la chambre, des cheveux dans la salle de bain, des petits détails bien dommage. A part ces quelques points, notre séjour en amoureux s'est très bien passé et nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette chambre à la déco magnifique
