The hotel is very clean and has convenient location to most of the sightseeing places. The hotel staffs are friendly. The money exchange is in the same compound, so is highly convenient.

The hotel had a convenient location to the subway. But for itms price, it has to be better run and have higher level of comfort compared to the second hotel we stayed, at the SSAW Shanghai; in the same area. Staff were not incredibly friendly at the front desk. Overall it was not a relaxed stay.

The stay was great. Has been upgraded to a bigger room but the decor and ambience of room seems old-ish. Very close to Yu Garden - walking distance

The hotel was great, the breakfast was great, location is fantastic for tourism. Walking distance from shopping area and the beautiful Yuyuan gardens. The rooms were great with a great tub and rain shower. My only disappointment was the concierge service whose english was poor and was basically unable to be helpful other than hailing a taxi. If you're an english speaker, don't rely on the concierge to help you find a restaurant or suggest things to do. You'd be better off using the internet. But then again, we talked to one guy; this might be a completely different after a shift change. The staff behind the counter spoke very good english and were able to answer all our questions. We were glad to see them still at the desk when we finally arrived at 2:30 a.m.

5 minute walk from subway station where you can get to anywhere you need to in Shanghai. Good value.

The hotel staff is not helpful, especially the reception staff.

Some crazy Spanish people started a party in their room at 3am. Thus I called the security and reflected the situation. 5 minutes later, those senseless people became quite. Well, my night was still ruined.

Location is very near to touries attractions Hotel service and cleaness still need to be improved facility is kind of old though the rooms an foors seesm refurbishe.

Hotel is conveniently located to major attractions. The staff has only very limited knowledge of English, is not helpful and behave as they are doing a favor to the customers. Numerous roaches in the breakfest room.

The hotel lobby was the only thing that looked 4 star. The images the hotel uses on the site make it look a lot bigger than it actually is. The rooms were carpeted and incredibly dirty. They tried to shampoo the carpet in the hallway and it's still smells of smoke and mildew. The hotel personnel were not helpful at all with anything. The only perk was the breakfast included in the room rate and the free water bottles that housekeeping had provided. They did a good job cleaning the room. The headboards were ripped and old looking. Lights were too dim. The rest of the hotel was terrible.

How can this hotel be rated 4 stars!!!! Staff is incompetent and rude. Although mentioned in the room description, WiFi is not available in rooms. No newspapers available. Breakfast is crappy (even orange juice is not available) In the room : cracked basin, leaking faucet, stained carpet. I wanted to buy a small gift from the store in the lobby ; it was in a locked showcase ; after 20 mins, and trying dozens of keys, the storekeeper told me he cannot locate the right key....

The location is really great .. v close to the metro , shopping malls , bus stops , bund ..the hotel is v clean , and staff is v friendly and speaks English .. i was also given a free upgrade without even asking for the same .. just when i said the room i booked online was small ..i was given a better room with a good view . the breakfast was nothing great but had a good spread .. not much there for vegetarians ..my deal included breakfast so i had it ..but u can choose not to if u are a vegie ..also the breakfast timings are early .. it shuts by 9.30 am but then again in china everything starts early and shuts early .. night time its difficult to get food ..my flight arrived at 11 in the night so i got only mac donnald food to eat .. the hotel staff ordered it for me and it was good. among the staff every one were friendly and nice .. especially sueon and leo were just too good .. sueon even booked my air tickets to guanzhou at night at 11 pm .. by talking to his friend who works for a travel company nd got me the best price .. he went out of his way to help .. overall i would say the best hotel to stay and v affordable ..and v safe .. highly recommended ..

Nice hotel and close to Yu Garden. The location is a bit far away from Metro station (8-10mins walking distance).

I wanted a room that's got natural light and comfortable and clean. This hotel satisfied my requests. The king-size bed was very comfy and the washroom was clean too. Coming from Hong Kong, I could get used to the noise - the room I had was facing roads and vehicle noise was inevitable. No international channels on TV; so bring your computer loaded with entertainment. No Wifi in the room, only LAN connection. Cash deposit of 500 RMB was required when checking in and when requesting for plates and cutlery, they asked for 100 RMB deposit. Remember to keep the deposit slips as they didn't note it down at the check out counter. I took the room only deal as Shanghai has so many nice brunches worth exploring for.

Hotel seems to have two addresses. We were pleased that the front desk acknowledged our reservation with out hesitation. Fellow travellers had difficulties in obtaining second room key. Hotel breakfast is okay, but priced too high.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff (including managers) barely understands english and is most unhelpful. Huge chinese restaurant inside the hotel wich makes it a little smelly as the kitchen is in the second floor next to many rooms.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in March, 2011. Facilities of the hotel are basically OK,with some exceptions! In my room, I had problems with almost all the faucets in the bathroom! Also, I couldn't find a clock in my room. The hotel's overall service? Difinitely not good! Lots of improvements should be done. The one tissue paper box of my room had only 3 sheets in it! Every day, I was not sure whether they had changed the towels with clean ones . . . In the restaurant (I used it for breakfast), there were lots of empty seats but with no service(knives and forks etc), and the tables had not been cleaned. My overall impression: Owners have tried to make a good hotel; but the management is extremely indifferent and careless.

The hotel was clean and well-lit, and the concierge gave us an upgrade without asking, though there seemed to be a fair number of people staying at the hotel judging by the breakfast crowd. Our room was spacious, and the generously sized bathtub was an appreciated surprise. The bed was hard, which is standard for China, but there is a spare quilt in the closet and more if you call down to concierge. We were in Shanghai for the Expo, but the taxi drivers either didn't want to go there or didn't understand "Expo" in English, and we had to hoof it to the metro station every day. It's about a 10-minute brisk walk along an occasionally very narrow sidewalk that frequently includes electric motorbikes, so that wasn't too pleasant. But the metro stop is on the two major lines, 8 and 10. The surrounding neighborhood was largely residential, but had a very small mall with only Chinese and Korean restaurants, so we bought quite a few crackers and other essentials at its supermarket for sustenance. But we did belatedly find a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe nearby run by a lovely Chinese couple who speak next to no English but make a mean supreme pizza. I'd recommend them - it looks a little dingy, but the food is fresh and good. Breakfast at the hotel was a decent mix of Western and Chinese options. We never went hungry, but sometimes we ate more pastries than others. Overall, I think I'd like to find a hotel with a more central location, but the hotel itself was a lovely experience.

Location was great. Breakfast was poor. Servers were sneezing into the food, and the quality was not up to what one would expect for the price.

There was no problem with the location of the hotel and the standard of the room. However the dining room was another experience. It was a challenge to find a cup that was not chipped at breakfast. They ran out of preserves for the toast so there was nothing to put on your toast at breakfast. The corrnflakes were displayed in a tiny bowl enough for one person and when you asked for theis to be refilled, they could nover find where they had been put so you were left waiting for ages. The staff in the dining room appear to have an attitude problem and they never smilled. On leaving the hotel as usual the room was checked and we were accused of taking a glass from the bathroom, we insisted that we had not. We then had to wait a considerable length of time for the room to be checked again when they discuvered that both glasses in the bathroom were still there. We were then dismissed and told we good go with a gradging appology.

The hotel is obviously an old 5-Star hotel. Sign of wear and tear everywhere (apart from lobby). Room and bathroom clean. However shower place does not drain promptly, leaving a little paddle. Service is prompt and polite. But sometimes the cleaning staff forgets to replenish tea bag (due to inexperience). Close to Shanghai Old street attraction, and 5-10 minutes from metro. However, taxi is recommended and its rate is cheap. Bank next door, excellent exchange rate. Breakfast is disappointing, not much choices, and not for someone raised in western world.

Nice hotel well situated. Room was well furnished and service was good.

The room is considered small but fairly clean. However, the people in the front desk are not properly train in this service industry. As a matter of fact, they are pretty rough in a way and do not know their own role.

Vores Familie på 5 voksne havde 2 nætter på hotellet. Virkelig dejligt hotel med fin service og skønne værelser. Hotellet ligger centralt for oplevelser i Shanghai. Kan kun anbefales.

La gente de recepción no es especialmente amable ni hablan buen inglés. Pero la relación calidad precio con el desayuno incluido está muy bien. También está al lado del metro y junto a una suerte de ciudad antigua. Si volviera me alojaría en este hotel aunque la habitación no sea especialmente grande y la parede del baño sea de cristal -sí, si vas con alguien que sea de confianza-; pero la cama es fabulosa. 奥さんと二人で一泊しました。部屋は清潔で快適でした。内装はいかにも中国風で欧米的なカッコイイものではありませんが、泊まったダブルルームはお風呂が全面ガラスばりで部屋から見えるのでちょっとロマンチックな感じでした（笑）。地下鉄駅から少しはなれているので徒歩移動はやや不便ですが、街中にありますし中国はタクシーが安いので気になりません。

Great Location, 10 mins to every main spot. Room is clean but small. Breakfast is not that good, but ok. I booked the basic room style, it cost me 100 usd, i think the price is quite equal to the quality. I'm satisfied anyway.

酒店整體尚可, 位於市區兩條主要大路交界但離地鐵站有一段距離. RMB 68 自助早餐選擇少, 質量低, 咖啡極難喝, RMB 28 都嫌比多佢.

場所はeast fuxing rd.の中心部にあり、まずまずのロケイションで部屋も広く清潔。このコストパフォーマンスなのでおすすめです。さすが中国物価が安いだけありますね!! 無料Wifiも部屋で使え便利。 バスルームが部屋に対してガラス張りなのはどうかと思いましたが、お湯もしっかり出てミネラルウォーターも無料で二本サービスだったので、安心してうがいなどに利用さしていただいた。 朝食は種類豊富で十分満足できるものだった。 ただ部屋のバスルームのロールカーテンがおろせずトイレが見えている状態だったので眠るとき違和感でねむりずらかった。

Hotellet har en helt fantastisk sea food restaurant. Personalet et meget hjælpsom med skrive addresser m.v på kinesisk, så Taxi driveren kan forstå, hvor du skal hen.Value for money

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr vorteilhaft. Zum Yugarden sind es knapp 100 Meter, in der Umgebung befinden sich auch noch sehenswerte Wohnstraßen aus der früheren Zeit. Die Metro liegt nahe. Negativ beurteile ich das Frühstück und den Frühstücksraum. Wer chinesisches Frühstück mag, ist gut aufgehoben. Wer nicht, der hat eine dürftige Auswahl, die nur selten aufgefüllt wird. Kurz nach dem Ende der Frühstückszeit wird das Licht ausgemacht und man sitzt im Halbdunkel. Das habe ich noch nie erlebt.

Отель супер! Особенно понравился ресторан на 1ом этаже. Выбрать блюда можно указав на них - все варианты меню приготовлены и выставлены в зале. Цены очень приемлимые и очень вкусно!!! До достопримечательностей идти минут 10-15 через сувенирную улицу.Твердая пятерка.

Nyere hotell med bra service av engelsktalende lobby-personell. Vi ble gratis oppgradert til ett bedre rom enn vi hadde bestillt for hele oppholdet på 7netter. Kort gåavstand til Yu yuan garden, handlegater m.m. Også gåavstand eller kort taxi-tur til the bund, peoples square m.m.

大致上還滿意!只是我是訂無煙房,但樓層有濃濃煙味,還有到隔壁餐廳剛好有促銷活動尤其是海鮮,結果端出來的比樣盤小很多,當有天用中餐時隔壁房間在施工像是刨石板之類 稿的灰塵滿屋揚,示意餐廳人員制止,結果經三次制止才停工,我們也無心再用餐趕緊走人!

Очень удачное местоположение! Отзывчивый персонал. Завтраки обычные. Номер очень хороший, уютный.
