Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo - طوكيو

Hotel rooms are new and large. There is a kitchenette if you want to do some cooking. The hotel location is slightly far from the Shinjuku main centre. About 25 min walk to Shinjuku JR, 15 mins to Shinjuku subway, Isetan, Uniqlo, shopping area, gay bars and other bars. Overall a positive experience and would recommend is you don't mind the walk.

Spotless, comfortable & good-sized room in a great location - an easy 10-15 minute walk from Shinjuku Station and even closer to the tube. The hotel is on a busy road, but our room was very quiet (we were on the top floor). You couldn't do better if you are having an extended stay in Tokyo - the kitchenette is really useful and there's enough room to really make yourself at home.

Citadines Shinjuku is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance from one of the busiest commercial districts in Tokyo. The English speaking staff will always assist you with a smile. The rooms are quite small but relatively large compared to similarly priced hotels in the area. The rooms are well equipped--it has hi speed internet, small kitchenette with microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle and dinnerware, although my family and I dined out in the many competitively priced restaurants in the area. I highly recommend it to families and for long stays. I will definitely go back to Citadines.

Citadines is located in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance from the busy commercial area of Shinjuku. There are many 24 hour restaurants and convenience stores in the area. Even the neighborhood supermarket is open 24 hours. The staff speaks English and very helpful in giving directions. The rooms are small but is relatively bigger than similarly priced hotels in the area.

Wish I could have stayed longer

While perhaps this compares well to other hotels in the Shinjuku neighbourhood, our experience is a bit biased by previously staying at the much nicer Citadines Kyoto. For the same room rate, the lobby was far less inviting, the rooms more cramped and less well designed. The air conditioner was very noisy (which they say is the case in all rooms, so moving wasn't possible) and the front desk could not provide ear plugs. The location is also a bit inconvenient and confusing if coming from the subway station.

Not knowing where to stay in the vast expanse that is Tokyo I eventually landed on Citadines Shinjuku and booked based on location, price and previous good reviews. It was everything we expected. A bit of a trek from Shinjuku station but the Shinjukugyoen subway station is a short walk away & the hotel therefore served as a good base for exploring the city. The room was clean and well stocked with cutlery, crockery etc. & as it had room for a sofa I'm guessing it is a bit more spacious than most accommodation in Tokyo. Altogether a good experience to end a great trip to Japan.

The attached map for the hotel could be much more specific as to intersecting streets and the photo was outdated and unrecognizable. Other than that the roomwas like a mini apartment, well designed and equipped with the usual CItadines kitchenette and amenities such as toiletries. welcoming coffee and tea, nice duvet. It had been afew years since we stayed at Citadines in London and Paris and the bed was much more comfortable than the foldouts of that trip. Almost everyone spoke very good English and helped us book sightseeing. This is not in the "Las Vegas on steroids" section of this suburb, but is quiet and a 15 minute walk or short cab ride away which suited us.

Great hotel in a good location. About 5 minute walk to the station. This is two stops to main Shinjuku station which links you on to the JR line which is like a cirlce line which is great. The rooms are a decent size with 2 person sofa, sliding TV, kitchen, nice toilet. Did not have breakfast. English speaking desk staff who are very good in terms or location and advice. Great place

this hotel is located 15 min walk from downtown shinjuku. it's a great location with a convenience store located one minute away. the breakfast buffet is 795¥ and is perfect-- coffee, tea, cereals, really nice pastries, hard boiled eggs, Japanese rice soup, etc. and it's delicious. the rooms are so cute and so clean. the furniture is modern and unworn. the rooms have kitchens and are fully equipped with utensils and pots and pans and a hot water kettle. this place was great, and we will definitely recommend it to friends. note: if you're going to take a taxi (we took a bus from narita to shinjuku station, then grabbed a cab since we had a lot of luggage) make sure you have the hotel name and address written in Japanese!

Definintely the best hotel we stayed in during our two week Japan vacation. ..largest room by far. New modern hotel with well designed rooms with ample space to hang clothes, shelves to unload suitcases, bathroom surfaces to layout toiletry items. Room was clean, comfortable and had excellent lighting. Less than a five minute walk to the subway. Great value.

Overall, our impression of this hotel was very favourable. It is modern, clean, and comfortable. We had a twin non-smoking room on the 2nd floor and our room was very quiet and spacious. We didn't even need the kitchenette, although it was a lovely option. Would definitely recommend it for families requiring the kitchenette, or for a longer-term stay in Tokyo. For us, it was just a little too far from Shinjuku Station, although a short walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station or Shinjuku Gyoen Station if you take the Metro. We had a JR pass and didn't want to pay the extra fare to get to the hotel everyday, sometimes twice a day. If not for the distance from the closest JR station, this hotel is in a somewhat quiet neighbourhood, despite being on a fairly large and busy street. Wifi available in the rooms and lobby, which was very convenient. Don't bother paying for the hotel breakfast, it definitely wasn't up to par with most Japanese "continental" style breakfast buffets, if you can even call it that. Instead, walk over to the 7-11 on the corner and get something there, save your money. Thank you to the wonderful hotel staff for your diligent and efficient service, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Citadines.

We had a fine time at this hotel. The rooms are more spacious than your average Japanese hotel, with a kitchen area, a sitting area, generous closet space and a sink outside the bathroom. It was very clean, the front desk staff spoke English, and were very helpful with restaurant reservations, directions and all I needed. The hotel was quiet, close to both small streets with lots of small restaurants, and about a 10 minute walk to the busy, lit-up center of Shinjuku. A subway stop was about 5 minutes away. It was great for our 5 days of sightseeing in Tokyo.

We enjoyed our stay in Citadines, we found the Japenese people very friendly and helpful. We had to use the train to see all the places we wanted to visit as the city is so big.The weather was also good so that was a bonus. European Traveller

Love Citadines- 2 stops on the Marunouchi line from Shinjuku stn. Great room, very new, wonderful service and central to the city- you can walk to downtown Shinjuku in 15mins. Very clean and will stay again in future.

Enjoyed my stay here a lot. Rooms are mini apartments with a small fully equipped kitchen so you can cook breakfasts or an evening meal (but there are great restaurants nearby). Room sizes are big by Tokyo standards and clean, well designed and modern. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Location is good, in the quieter end of Sinjuku so you can avoid the crowds but close only 15 mins walk to the bright lights and action.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English very well. The location was near a metro stop, several restaurants, and, of course, a 7-Eleven. The wireless and other amenities were top notch. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved our stay at this hotel. We arrived by train late at night and the directions on the hotels website were pretty poor so we walked around for a while trying to search for it...we then stumbled into a convince store and they pointed it out. Once there the hotel room was a great size.... it had a kitchen, small lounge area, bathroom and bed area. It is in a more quieter part of town but the surrounding streets and alley ways are beautiful old style Japan with great eateries. personally i loved the hotel but next time i go I would prefer to stay in the hype of Shibuya

This was a great place to stay with most facilities that you could wish for in a kind of crossover between a weekly mansion and a hotel.Super friendly and helpful staff made this place one of the best stays in Tokyo - it's not super luxury but neither was the price.Would definately stay here again.

Everything was great beyond our expectations! just a 15 minutes walk to shinjuku station it was a calm from a hustle of downtown! great staff always there to give you a hand! great room very clean.. would come back again! highly recommended!!

Loved this hotel. Rooms are normal size by tokyo standards. Perfect for two. Located a few blocks from the central Shinjuku area. Not a whole lot going on in the immediate area of the hotel but very close to the action. Rooms were very well kept with a trendy boutiqueish flare to them. Hotel attendants were bery helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved this hotel. We were so comfortable and the service was great.

Hotel room was way bigger than we expected for Tokyo. It even had a mini kitchen. The only drawback is that the neighborhood around the hotel is a little boring. It's about a four minute walk from the subway and about a 20 minute walk from the JR Shinjuku station, which is the center of the Shinuku neighborhood.

We had two rooms for our family of four. One had a double bed and the other twin beds. The rooms were pretty large for Japan with a small kitchen in entryway and sitting area. Everything is cunningly fit in. Plenty of closet space, really good shower, toilet with all the gadgets, wifi for ipad in the room and lobby, and tea/coffee fixings and 2 complimentary bottles of water. The only downsides are the beds and pillows are really hard but I found that in all of Japan, not just here. Really well located. 7-11 store to get cash almost next door, Supermarket just 1/4 block away and the subway Shinjuku-gyoemmae is about 10 minutes or less walk away, down restaurant filled blocks. Recommend Shell Restaurant for good food in sort of a hole in the wall place. The staff at the hotel were really helpful. My birthday happened to occur while I was there and they gave me a gift bag of cookies and a card! Also, they gave directions and booked taxis when we asked. Good value. Really loved this place and would recommend it highly!

Hotel is exactly as it appears in images. Rooms are spacious, luxurious and clean. Staff are very helpful. Free wifi in rooms was a bonus. This has all the things you could possibly need- coin laundry, small kitchens in room, big telly. Location is not exactly centrally located - 20 min walk to Shinjuku station, but only 4-5min walk from the local station. This means that it is quiet. There are many supermarkets and restraunts close by too. A real find. I would happily stay there again.

Great hotel at a great price! Very chic. Could hardly believe it was only this price. English is pretty good from the hotel staff as well, which is helpful.

This place is very nice. I was surprised at the quality of the room and amenities especially with a kitchenette. My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was great. There is a station fairly close and if you don't mind a good walk, Shinjuku station is close enough to walk. I would certainly recommend this place it is a good price for a great place!

Good hotel with well appointed use of space and. Wry clean. Though can be tricky to find if you get out the wrong exit of Shinjuku station . Still can't remember the exact exit as I is overwhelming to a tourist, the area is great for cheap food and good to walk around. Would definitely stay again for the great mini kitchen

We loved this hotel. Very courteous front desk staff and really nice rooms with half kitchen. We used the half kitchen to cook breakfast and make ramen from the 7 eleven downstairs, comes in really handy when you have two young hungry boys. The rooms are plenty spacious and have an extra pullout sofabed, which was nice. We had a little trouble finding the hotel from Shinjuku station as no one there was able to help us (very few speak English and if you have the directions in English, they have no idea). I should've brought a map of the hotel beforehand and not just the name and address. All in all a great stay! Use Shinjuku Gyomae station which is really close to the hotel (only 5 minutes a way). Shinjuku main station is a good 20 minute walk. Great job Citadines!!!

Great hotel room and very good for multiple day stay in Tokyo. Took a bit of walking to the metro/subway but once I got that down no problem. Clean, full-service, great price.

Very nice hotel, lovely people, a bit find to hard but worth the low cost, the kitchenette and spacious room!

With my first visit to Japan, I really did not know what to expect. The hotel was a quiet sanctuary I could always come back to after a day out or a quick pitstop before going again. I could not fault the hotel. Room was perfect, clean and roomy. I will be staying here again and recommending it to anyone traveling to the region.

5 min walk to the metro. And 10-15 min walk to Shinjuku. All in all. Great price and perfect location. And the room is pretty big as well!

My second time staying there. Apartments are no-frills, clean and well-maintained. Staff friendly, helpful and most speak English. Free wi-fi, self-service laundry, and many 24-hour convenience stores nearby are a boon for independent travellers.

Suited our needs very well being able to cook and eat without going out when we were adjusting from jet-lag. Top marks for everything.

We went to Japan for tsunami relief work and had a few days at the end of the trip to explore Tokyo. We knew nothing about the city and booked this hotel based on comments we viewed on the Hotels.com site.  We loved this place!  The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well setup with features such as a sliding TV on the wall, movable walls to personalize the space, dimmers on the light switches, and a full size bathtub... believe me you  will appreciate this after spending time at other places in Japan.  This was way more than we expected for the price.  We are definitely booking this hotel the next time we come to Tokyo regardless of the price.  Note:  all hotel staff speak English and are happy to help you with directions and recommendations.
