Hotel Hacienda Merida - ماردة

The pool and grounds of this hotel are lovely, an instant retreat from the hustle and bustle of Merida's streets. Bathrooms are spacious and our room (no.1) had double doors opening onto a lovely patio with two hammocks right by the pool. However, the room itself smelt slightly damp, particularly the walk-in wardrobe which as a result, we chose not to use. Breakfasts were delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice and a varied choice of eggs etc. Free parking is at a nearby lot. The hotel location was about one block too far from the main square (10 min walk) along a busy road. The staff were helpful in recommending a restaurant to us and when we had a problem with our hire car.

Ambient is very pretty. They obviously do their do diligence to maintain a standard at this place—a beautiful inner space. Hotel staff was great and very helpful. We had issues with our car rental (Blueway) and they were able to help expedite us getting a new-working car. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Loved the bathroom shower. Breakfast was even better than I would expect, French-pressed coffee. One of the better coffees I had in Merida. Both my wife and I were very happy with our stay.

What we appreciated most about this small hotel was the staff. They were genuinely committed to making your stay enjoyable and attending to any concerns. Our room, #4, was ample with 2 full beds, and totally quiet as it faced in the back of the complex. My recommendation is to try and get one of the 2 rooms that face into the pool - they are brighter and have hammocks.

From the outside, you don't expect much, but once you enter this 12-room hacienda, it will leave you breathless. This might have been the most beautiful room we have every stayed in - it truly should not be missed. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. We stayed on the side with 4 rooms. It was peaceful and comfortable. The level of service at the hotel exceeds most places I have ever seen - very helpful and attentive without being "too much." You won't want for much - this staff will take great care of you. The courtyard for breakfast and the pool was the perfect respite from the heat and bustle of the city. Enjoy a cocktail in the courtyard. The location is very walkable to many points of interests without escaping some of the beauty of this traditional Spanish colonial / Mayan city. Parking available just up the street. Highly highly recommend!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hacienda Merida. I enjoy hotels with character and this is one of them. Very well kept, the room,pool and they have very nice massage services. The location is great. Close to the downtown plaza and the Montejo corridor. Also the staff is very helpful in letting you know about the local events. Merida is constantly having cultural events and not always you can find this information in the Internet. Definitely I will stay there again in my next trip to Merida.

We stayed in the suite for 3 nights in august 2011. very nice decoration- the photos of their website are true-. The service was excellent. The swimming pool is available all night ! But it is a pitty that the prices of drinks are more european than mexican, although Merida is really cheap.

The hotel is lovely--a delighful interio court yard with a beautiful pool, arched collinades. Great rooms and terrific friendly service. A must visit!!

Excellent location just a few blocks from the center. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and offered us helpful tips to enhance our stay in Merida. Although the hotel does not serve lunch of dinner there are several fine Mayan restaurants close by. We can and will highly recommend the Hotel Hacienda Merida.

We spent two nights in April in this Hacienda and discovered a great place with a perfect service and amaibility. The price is worth for the quality offered and I fully recommend this hotel

We were in town for the weekend, the staff is extremely helpful and Merdia is a great little city. Great location and great pool!

It was our first time in Merida and this hotel was recommended to us by a friend. The hotel staff was great - very informative about Merdia and actually took time to speak with us, individually. We do not speak Spanish and this was not a problem at this hotel. Highly recommend :)

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hacienda in April of 2011. It's lovely; in a convenient location for me as a tourist; and with friendly and professional personnel.

I stayed in two locations in my redcent trip to Merida. Both were outstanding. The Hacienda Merida exceeded my expectations. This is family run with very friendly staff. The pool is actually functional which is different in the old colonial area. Staff arrainged tours and early morning pick up. Location is very convienient. Great place.

This hotel is fabulous...renovated beautifully with super-high ceiling and spacious rooms. Service is wonderful from the knowledgesable staff, and the location is great, being next to some of the best Yucatecan restaurants. It's also on Conde Nast Traveler's 200 Hot Hotels List, and rightly so! Only problem was that the bathroom had a sewage stench which in a small and old town like Merida is to be expected as they do not have a great sewage waste system. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of the Yucatan's capital city.

The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has only a few rooms, so you get very personal attention from the staff. The breakfast was very good and served on the outdoor patio. The swimming pool was highly appreciated after a day walking around the Mayan temples. Even though the hotel is located in the center it is very quiet and it has reserved parking spots a few meters from the hotel which is a must if you have a rental car.

Merida is a very hot city, no matter what time of year you arrive. However, it is a colonial gem, with the remains of haciendas scattered throughout the region. The Hotel Hacienda Merida will make your stay there as comfortable and stylish as possible. It is a very special boutique lodging, very tastily decorated with many modern touches, and only a few blocks from the zocalo. Many fine restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. Get up early and take a walk in the cooler part of the day through the adjoining streets with beautiful colonial buildings and mansions painted in an array of pastel hues. The hotel's rooms are well equipped and the staff is very accommodating. The margaritas from their bar are most tasty, as is a plunge in their refreshing pool at the end of a hot day of making the rounds of the city and surrounding Pu'uc ruins.

We loved this boutique hotel! It had a hip vibe to it but was still very comfortable and low key. Our room on second floor overlooked the pool and I think was the best room in the hotel. Service was very good and responsive. The location was excellent - close to all the cool things to do and see in Merida. We would definitely return to this hotel! r

Zeer aangenaam hotel, oase van rust en ideaal om tot rust te komen na uitstappen naar de cenotes, Chichen Itza, ... Samen met dochtertje van 8 jaar geweest waardoor zwembad super is om wat afwisseling te bieden. Knappe kamers en zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Une excellente adresse. Le lieu est beau et charmant. La décoration pleine de délicatesse. Le personnel très attentionné.

Hermoso pequeño hotel, muy buen servicio, ubicación perfecta. Unico comentario negativo, los desayunos no incluyen fruta ni jugos frescos, y no están pensados para el turismo nacional ya que no incluyen tampoco tortillas ni salsas mexicanas.

Das Hotel war sehr sauber und das Personal war äußerst bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Schwimmbad ist etwas kleiner als auf der Abbildung. In nur 5 min ist man in der Innenstadt. Leider haben fast keine Zimmer einen freien Blick. Wir schauten auf einen Innenhof, der nicht sehr attraktiv war.

Cet hotel est bien placé dans Merida, j'ai choisi de payer plus cher que d'autres hotels parce que je voulais un hotel un peu typique. Mais au final j'ai trouvé que la prestation offerte ne valait pas le prix de cet hotel.
