This is our second year there and again the Decameron and there staff out did them self I would recommend this hotel to anyone the Hotel is old but clean and the food is great . Good time

This was our third visit to this particular hotel in 2011. The hotel has five buildings. Rooms are simple - only soap provided so be sure to take your own toiletries and hair dryer. The best views are in Cocos 4 but there are a lot of stairs. Only Cocos 1 has an elevator. Cocos 3 building is comprised of small apartment rooms. Ask for a mattress pad as the beds tend to be hard. Hotel is "all inclusive". Plenty of fruit, vegetables, and simple Mexican fare. The beach is busy and noisy with blaring Mexican music and a rowdy activities team - but that's why we love the place! Group bike ride, yoga, aerobics in the sea, and a game of volleyball before lunch. Invest in an inflatable air mattress from the passing vendor - you won't regret it - to pad the plastic loungers or to lie on the beach if all the loungers are occupied. Dance lessons and organized games on the beach every afternoon - great fun and an excellent way to meet the Mexican guests. This resort offers a genuine Mexican holiday experience. Evening show is top-notch and the disco stays open till 3am.

We recently visited the Guayobitos and stayed at the all inclusive Decamaron hotel. We were not impressed at all. The food and drinks were terrible and the rooms were definately not 3 star as per their advertisement. We would not recommend this hotel.

there were 4 of us in our party and we are all very pleased with our stay at the decameron. The place is clean and staff were great. I loved the location and the town is very friendly and easy to get around. The food at the hotel was great, and plentiful. We stayed in Cocos 1 and could not have asked for better rms and location,. I would not want to stay in Cocos 4 even though the rms are bigger they are too far frm the beach and activities. We went on the whale watching and was good. We also went to the jungle tour and that was even better. We booked thru Franciso, he works at the hotel but not thru the hotel. He was amazing, good english and cared if we had a good time. our overall experience was a good one we would all go back. the hoel class shd be a 4star not a 3

This is a budget Mexican all-inclusive that caters primarily to Mexican guests. Rooms are basic but immaculately clean - and a small tip each day ensures attention to detail. Bed, shower, TV and telephone. Only soap provided. So bring anything else you may need - including shampoo, hair dryer and an extension cord as some rooms have only one electrical outlet! There is no wifi but you can rent a computer in reception for a reasonable hourly rate. Food is uncomplicated but so fresh. Plenty of local fruits and vegetables, chicken made 200 ways, free-range eggs and wonderful desserts. Again a generous tip to the servers and they memorize your requirements. I'm not a big drinker so the drinks here suit me fine. Don't expect premuim brands for this price! And if you prefer to guzzle, then bring your own mug because the glasses are small. Family entertainment is provided all day should you wish to participate - morning bike tour, Spanish lesson, aquacise in the Pacific Ocean, dance lessons, tequila volleyball (don't drop the ball or you have to drink the tequila!), bingo (in Spanish) and games. Kayaks and boogie boards are provided but none of the fancy motorized water activities like para-sailing. Each night there's a show (excellent standard of dance and comedy) followed by a disco until the wee hours. The hotel beach is groomed daily and the ocean is warm. It's fairly noisy on the beach as the music plays all day and the "animation" team keep the party going. The Mexican guests enjoy the activities but few Canadian guests participate. My only criticism is the number of vendors on the beach - they are incessant, but are not allowed on the hotel premises. If you wish to avoid them, sit by one of the four pools instead of on the beach. This hotel also has a beach club and provides transportation at 9:30 each morning for the three minute drive south to the next village. Great if you prefer a quiet day. Decameron Los Cocos offered a variety of food and food venue choices all of which were good (Italian, Mexican, Spanish, Etc.) Drinks were plentiful both soft drinks / juices as well as alcoholic beverages (Not name brand). The hotel room was all tile and concrete which was not really comfortable but because of the humidity on the beach could not be carpeted and woood interiors. This became apparent after returing home and the clothes even if not worn during the stay smelled musty. The beach was nice and the water mostly clear. There were options for different activities (additional cost) for party boats to whale watching to jet skis. Shopping was good and many shops had the shirts, towels, shells and other tourist things - we had fun and it was a good value in our opinion. As long as you do not have five star expectations you should enjoy the stay.

The staff at this hotel is outstanding, everyone is friendly and they make sure you know how happy they are that you are there! The hotel had some repairs happening when we were there, so it was a little inconvenient and noisy. The beach is lovely and great for walking on. The 'included' water craft was a joke. We were rather disappointed! The kayaks were available, but they would not allow you to take them beyond the roped in swimming area (about waist deep) There was supposed to be a kayak tour around the Island, which also did not happen. Although we tried several times to make reservations to go out on the Catamaran, it went out only once in the two weeks we were there. So, I'd recommend this hotel as a laid back quiet destination (we'd been here 6 years ago, and it really hadn't changed) I would consider not going early in their season, (We were there Jan 02 to Jan 16 2011) Or maybe knowing this is when they do their repairs etc. it would be prudent to check for a lower rack rate?

ME GUSTARIA ESTAR MAS DIAS EN ESTE HOTEL PUES ES MUY CONFORTABLE, ESPERO RESIBIR PROMOCIONES PARA ESTE 2012. GRACIAS

El hotal en general tiene buen servicio, pero hay 2 detalles que no le ayudan mucho. 1) En la actualidad el internet es vital para cualquier persona y su sistema es pésimo, no tienen internet inalámbrico, ni en áreas comunes y mucho menos en las habitaciones. 2) Quieren cobrar por todo, un ejemplo es una toalla que decía que habíamos manchado y nunca la vimos ni nuca supimos porque querían cobrarla.

Bueno en términos generales, habitaciones muy lejos de la playa, alimentos insuficientes.

Si lo recomiendo. Volvería nuevamente.

Lo unico que no me agrado es el horario de entrega del cuarto me parece muy tarde. Tampoco que no dejan llevar comida a la playa. No hay despachadores de agua.

100% familiar y 100% si quieres ir en pareja pero para relajarte te tratan mega super bien como rey.....barato.... unico detalle los almuerzos no muy ricos pero pasables,,,, las cenas a la carta muy buenas,,,,

no me agrado, el que no hubiera vigilancia y permitieran en la alberca de adultos ingresar niños y adolecentes que escandalizaban y se aventaban entre ellos incomodando a quien buscabamos tranquilidad. no aplicaron el reglamento ya que si hay señalamientos sobre la alberca exclusiva de adultos.

CONTIENE TODO LO QUE NECESITAS PARA TU DESCANSO: PLAYA, ALIMENTACIÓN, BEBIDS ILIMITADAS, JUEGOS Y ANIMADORES, DISCOTEQUE, SHOW´S, ALBERCAS... TODO.
