Moevenpick Hotel & Residence Hajar Tower Makkah - مكة

Room was small and not adequate. Location was very near to Harram but took 4-5 minutes from the room to get to the main entrance of the building as had to wait for 2 sets of lifts and walk through the shopping mall which was not the object of going to Makkah. Room carpet were very dirty with dark stains. Would not rate it as 5 Star. More likely 3 Star. Staff were OK

Location is very close to Masjid Haram, some staff are fantastic, had some problems checking in and also they wanted me to pay for breakfast which I had paid for at the time of booking. Overall good location and very nice hotel, would recommend.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel when compared to European/western standards. But when compared to Arab/middle eastern standards I would give it a 3/4

The service was excellent . Only a bath is required for kids

Firstly the room provided booked through Hotels.com was not good for two adults and two kids. Ideally all hotels offering such rooms provide two TWIN Beds but to my surprise the room had two Single Beds only. I felt like cheated. Other thing is inconvience of changing lifts to reach the Haram. You have to change two lifts. The Concierge staff standards are not upto five star levels. My overall experience was not satisfactory from booking as well as staying in the Hotel.

Hotel was conveniently located in the Abraj Al - Bait complex which is adjacent to the Masjid Al Haram. The complex has a full fledge shopping centre with international shops and a good food court for the time which you are not praying (mind you , you will not want to shop or eat due the euphoria of being in Allah's town and near the sacred Kaabaa) but you will need to buy essential items such as prayer rugs, beads, zam zam..all is available here. The hotel also serves from great breakfast and the contemprary and modern look of rooms is comfortable and pleasing to the eyes. Movenpick Makkah is your monies worth and some more.

The hotel is overpriced if you consider the standard of the decor and general upkeep. Breakfast was excellent but I think that a competitive hotel group offers better value for money!

Bad quality of hotel service. Room not clean. carpet not clean.

All in all the hotel was good ,food, location and employees the only problem that the lobby was vary smal and chrouded

Unfriendly receptionists; room wall partitions not sound proof

Excellent experience but the following need some considerations particularly in the month of Ramadan: * Iftar timing hould consider the late Taraweeh prayers which end at 11:00 pm local time * the buisiness service for boarding online opens up to 10:00 pm only which should be for 24 hours * Since checking in in Ramadan with the high room occupation rate starts at about 4:00 pm, a safe box for valuable items would help the guest who arrive earlier to perform his Omra until his/her room is ready

long time to check in , one receptionist only for check in, took us 2 hours to take our room keys. house keeping is horable, always late, skip oneday no cleaning at all, and cleaing is not good at all. rooms are not insulated you can hear any thing from the attached rooms, so noinsy. internet is not working, there was a major repair in the hotel. any way the hotel is so close to the haram which is very good and this what we need.

The hotel is very well situated, just a few minutes from the Haram. The breakfast is nice and the rooms are well maintained. The only problem with this is hotel is the service. The people at the reception are extremely rude. Most of the people here cannot speak English! Some are even racists, the let people of arab origin (who speak arabic) to cut through line where other people have been waiting for almost 10 -15 minutes. I also asked for a adapter and a internet connection cable and they didn't even care. I had to come upstairs and call operator and ask her. But that didn't work either, it took 4 phone calls and 2 visits in person to get hold of these two things (almost 4 hours). Don't get me wrong, the hotel itself is fantastic, the only problem with this hotel is the service. Personally I have stayed at numerous Moevenpick hotels around the globe but by far this is the worst Moevenpick yet!

there was a network cable in my room, when I connect it's very slow. there should be a fast connection. moreover, the room desk is pretty small other services is very good

unprofesssional reception staff, it took 30 minutes to the room service to pickup the phone

a little confusing to navigate around. many elevators, floors, great breakfast, great location, nice shopping in lobby, easy checkin and check out.

We were 3 people staying in a triple room. Hotel very close to Haram, so very convenient for my mother. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and i would recommend this hotel to anyone. Alhamdulillah.

I did not find a single professional in the hotel who knows how important SERVICE is in travel industry. I belongs to the travel industry, cannot count how many hundreds of flights I have taken and the cities I have visited. I was very much disappointed with building soundproofing, all the next neighborhood construction work could be hear in the room as it was next door. Water level at the bathroom was against the drain hole. Overall there was no concept of service at the hotel. Information folder in the room says different timings for breakfast then the actual timings.

Excellent experience; wonderful access to Haram. Couldn't have imagined it would be so easy to access. Best Umrah experience in 5 years because of this. Access to Hotel itself is still a bit of a problem till all the development in the tunnel is completed. The bathroom was the one feature that left a lot to be desired; its tiling and fixtures were quite slapdash for such a newly constructed facility; not up to Movenpick mark. Breakfast was quite good, decent healthy options. Concierge service was up to expectation, as was check in/out. Housekeeping did not make our beds while we were away for Fajr, but maybe it was not the hour yet. There should have been some water and soft drinks in the hospitality bar, and some fruit in the room. Nevertheless, thoroughly recommendable experience.

this was a good hotel for my Umrah trip. I took my mum and wanted to be close to the Masjid Al Haram. It was a pleasant stay and everything was great. Breakfast was good too along with the ample shopping opprtunity. All in all - a good experience.

Everything was lovely we just did not find the beds very comfortable to sleep on, otherwise everything was more than fantastic.
