The staff was really great ... very nice and friendly. If you eat at the Woodward (which had a great breakfast), I highly recommend the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies with cinnamon whipped cream. If you're a runner, it's close enough to go for a morning run around the Charles River.

Pricey but worth it. Phenomenal room, great service and decor. Will stay again.

The hotel is nice just service could use a little pick me up. For example, when we checked out the front desk said they would get the bags from our room and bring them to the car we valet parked ($40). When we came back from brunch in the hotel restaurant the bags were not in the car. We had to get a room key and go get our bags from the room and then bring them down to the car.

My wife and I spent 1 night in the Ames, as it was her first time to Boston. Parking was great ($18 for the night) as we parked in the same place that the hotel valets ($42) your cars, upon the receptionists recommendation. We booked at a discounted rate on hotels.com and requested a bathtub, and when we got to the room and realized it was a tubless room, they switched our room immediately at no additional charge. We ate at the Oceanaire restaurant which was steps away from the hotel, which was incredible. We drank at the hotel bar, which has some of the best mixologists in the city along with my favorite craft distillery's whiskeys, Tuttenhill's Hudson line (hard to find, even in NY). The room was comfortable, clean, modern, and quiet. HUGE flatscreen tv, glass shower looking into the room so you can watch tv as you bathe/shower. Everything you could ever need in the minibar, and everything in the room could be purchased, such as the lamp and the iHome alarm clock. Amenities such as Malin+Goetz toiletries from Barney's NY made this stay over the top. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if heading back to Boston.... as my alma mater's headmaster would say, Kudo's!

Very cool hotel... wish internet was included and not $10 and wish the room lighting was a little better... but the room was very cool and modern, TV channel options were very good, bathroom was great. Very nice hotel!

Beautiful decor...comfy...cozy...close to Quincy Market.

great location in boston. clean and comfortable room. hotel staff is not very obliging. poor in proportion to the price

I was incredibly impressed by the Ames Hotel in Boston. The hotel is gorgeous, immaculate, and situated in a prime location within Boston. You can walk to most of the main attractions in Boston from the hotel (or take a quick ride on the T). The front desk and bell staff were kind, accommodating, and extremely generous with their time and knowledge. It was refreshing to meet such welcoming hotel staff! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. I have absolutely no complaints.

Hotel was nice and has expected as shown on their website. Great room, good location. Has a veterans building a few doors along though where you have to pass by a few homeless people if you walk up that way. Hotel is nearer Quincy market. Overall enjoyed Boston and enjoyed the hotel

Clean, comfortable and convenient. However paying extra for wi-fi seems odd.

Lamentablemente no tiene ningún rotulo el hotel en ninguna parte de afuera lo que lo hace perder tiempo en encontrarlo

Design-Hotel in allerbester Lage, um Boston zu Fuß zu erkunden. Sauber, modern, freundlich. Schönes Bad. Großer Flatscreen. Hervorragendes Restaurant und Bar im Hause, die am Abend Treffpunkt vieler Einheimischer sind (viel Trubel). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn zur Zeit unseres Besuches vorm Hotel eine Nachtbaustelle (bis ca. 0.00 Uhr) lag, deren Lärm auch durch die geschlossenen Fenster hörbar war. WiFi nur gegen Gebühr, allerdings ist kostenloses WiFi in vielen Coffee-Shops und an einigen öffentlichen Orten verfügbar.
