Star of the Sea Resort - بيناوليم

It's a great experience in Star of the Sea Resort, with double bed room, AC cooling in hot weather. And reasonable price. Thanks to Hotels.com

My family and I booked 3 double rooms with a breakfast buffet in December 2011 into the New Year. (3 nights) The restaurant near the pool is run by Nepalis and they did a great job in food preparation. The problem was with the greedy owner, who is a doctor, when he made excuses and would not honor our voucher bought through Expedia when it came to breakfast. Though he pays for advertising, he would never take responsibility and blamed Expedia. The greedy doctor tells the restaurant owner that he will only pay Rs80 ($1.60) for breakfast per person no matter what the voucher says (which he knows before hand and approves) and what HE advertises. Anything above the Rs80 has to be paid by the quest. We had a discussion which turned into a heated talk because he was so blind to truth and responsibility and most of all this happened the day we were about to check out. Though the rooms are ok and the food and location are good, the management is very poor and will try to cheat you. So, be cautious about this hotel.

Spend 11 nights in end of dec 2011 with family. Nice, calm area of Goa for families. Very friendly staff. Good, clean pool and pool bar/restaurant. Rooms very simple. A/C worked mostly and even warm water in afternoons:) Not very clean. NEEDS new towels and bed linnen!

This is a decent mid-range hotel; good value for money. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, hot water, and balcony with nice view. The best thing about the hotel is the quiet pool and restaurant area with friendly staff. It was great to arrive in India and relax by the pool in the hot weather while we got our bearings. The surrounding area isn't amazingly beautiful, but it's cool and quirky - it's India. The beach is a bit of a walk, but you can get a tuk-tuk very easily in just a few minutes. Personally I wouldn't spend my whole holiday here (we were just passing through on our way to more quiet beautiful beaches further south) but if you're staying in Benaulim, then I'd recommend the Star of the Sea.

Not bad at all. The rooms are quite big and spacious than usual hotel rooms though from outside the hotel looks least impressive. But the hotel is a bit far from the beach maybe about 20 min walk. Overall a good one.

My Stay at Hotel was pretty good.. The location is near the two beaches i.e benaulium and Colva.. The only thing that hotel lacks is Generator... coz thr was no light for an hour....It only has Inverter otherwise hotel is good...

stayed in a double room which was reasonably clean, we paid little so it is what you pay for, nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool, breakfast was nice and the waiters were very friendly. Takes about 10-15 mins to walk to a nice little beach. The shops and restaurants around are lovely. The receptionist was not very friendly though, hardly got a smile and seemed annoyed most of the time. We didn't have the exact change to pay for breakfast and she asked us abruptly to go get some change, turns out she did have it. Also she got angry because we didn't check out at 11 even though we showed her that let confirmation letter said check out 1pm. Overall I recommend this hotel for its price and location & swimming pool, nothing else.

Door locking system was not good. They do not provide Indian Dishesh. This hotel gives preference to Foreign Nationals only.

The hotel is falling to bits. You get a really poor impression on arrival. The room was a disgrace. The door did not shut properly. The curtains were filthy and hanging off. The bed linen was dirty and stained especially the pillow cases. The towels were dirty again and ripped. Do not stay here. I rang another place and left. Horrible experience.

Dieser Hôtel ist nichts besonders, ausser das Restaurant und Schwimmad. TV in Zimmer funktionniert nicht gut. Wi-Fi ist schlecht. Viel Lärm im Hôtel. Ich würde nie mehr hier schlafen

Hotelli oli hinta-laatusuhteeltaan todella hyvä, henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä ja auttavaista ja hotellin ravintolassakin palvelu oli joka päivä loistavaa!Kannattaa tosin ottaa huomioon hotellia valitessa, että hygieniataso Intiassa ylipäänsä on aivan erilaista kuin länsimaissa. Itse olin hotelliin tosi tyytyväinen, eikä minulla ole siitä mitään pahaa sanottavaa. :)

Otroligt smuttsigt! Och mögel överallt!

Rommet var veldig skittent. Det var nok vasket, men alt av møbler, vegger osv var inngrodd med skitt. Flekkete lakener, mugg på badet, støvete osv. I tillegg var det dårlig kommunikasjon blant resepsjonpersonalet. De spurte oss om samme spørsmål flere ganger. Dessuten skulle de absolutt beholde utskrift av vår bestilling på hotells.com. Senere spurte de flere spørsmål hvor svarene sto på det arket. Hvorfor ber de om å få et dokument de ikke leser? Frokosten som er inkludert består KUN av egg og loff, ikke noe annet. Hvis du ikke blir mett, må du betale for mer. Elendig frokost. Bedre å bestille uten frokost. Ellers var jo de ansatte hyggelige, og det er ikke noe problem å bo der dersom man har lave forventninger.

un gros nettoyage ,surtout du balcon et des sanitaires, serait indispensable. Une partie du personnel se tourne les pouces à longueur des journées.
