Location very convenient close to attractive malls like SM Megamall or Podium, Rooms comfortable but without coffee maker which is a small minus as most comparable hotels do offer coffee making facilities in their rooms. Service good and prompt and restaurant with nice menu

This was a great hotel and the staff were excellent and really knew how to provide a quick service. I was a little upset that the hotel did not offer free WIFI. This is essential and every hotel should offer this. I would be happy to stay at the Lancaster in Manila again.

I loved this hotel only issue I had was the ac wasn't blowing hard enough even on high power but it was still a comfy room! Big tub and nice bed:) the malls are just walking distance or 60 pesos taxi ride.

Nice hotel, good staff and I want to thank the management for upgrading my junior suites to executive suites..

The breakfast is not as good as past visits, but we like everything else here and will continue to return on our visits to Manila.

Close to shopping centre. Requested for late check out and was granted . Very happy with our stay .

This is a great mid-price hotel. The staff are friendly, place is clean, rooms quiet etc. The location is central, but not picturesque (a street so grim even the cats are not too proud to crap in public). The hotel has two major flaws: 1. The internet access is ridiculous. You can buy internet tokens, but access is intermitent and you can't switch between devices. Wireless is only in the foyer and the ethernet cable is not at all convenient. 2. If you are a vegetarian don't bother with the breakfast - corn flakes and plane toast are your only options.

This was my third stay here at the Lancaster PH .This last stay was very bad ,put me a room with constrution next door , put me in room for smokers , I;m no-smoker , then they didnt honor there free breakfeast . over all poor they have been better . I did advise my friend that will be staying there on his visit all that I have exsperenced there . Told him what to look for ,

heavy,nauseating smell of cigarette smoke in a supposedly non-smoking room(rm 2204) given to me

Good and efficient service.

very good service and very helpful. the taxi driver never give back the change to the foreigners. I really appreciate that the security guard and the bell boy would help me to chase back the changes from the taxi driver.

When I called-up to check my reservation, I was very disappointed when the hotel staff was not able to give me feedback immediately. They don't know what to do and how to respond to my inquiries me...I got mad when they told me that the reservation officer was not around to verify my reservation because she was on a day-off (this is a hotel right?!) The parking space was also horrible, they can only accommodate few vehicles for their guests (. The entrance and exit points are the same which took us 30 min. to park again what a hotel?!). Checking out also took us 1 hour.

The hall and the room were smelly. We checked in late and the room wasn't ready when we came. The drain in the bathroom is not working well. The housekeeping woke us up many many times.

The WORST HOTEL I've stayed in over 100 cities / countries . Upon arrival ; the door man just grabbed my baggage from the vechile & bowled it thru the door . I was at the reception desk for 23 minutes where I was NOT NOTICED by BOTH the Front Desk Staffs ; They were more Interested in knowing what & how 02 US soldiers were doing the previous nite & How Good Their Female Campanions Fared !!! I had to call out to both front desk staffs More Than Ten Times before I was attended to . The female staff who attended to me did not even ask me if I had a reservation but said No Reservation To Charge You On Listed Rate !!! A REAL REGRET IN BOOKING & PAYING THIS RATE !!! MY BUSSINESS TRIP STARTED OFF WITH A DOOM : A WHOLE LOT OF >>>>>>>>>

I stayed at the Lancaster for 10 nights so feel I got a good sense of the hotel services. My purpose of my visit to Manila was business and leisure. - The hotel staff were friendly and always had a greeting to give. The door men were particularly helpful and curteous, however, on a day in which I had an important appointment out of the city where I needed a taxi. It took them 30 minutes to call one in from the street for me as they gave priority to large groups staying at the hotel needing taxis. Only after I reminded the doorman, did he call a taxi in for me. I will say- this day was the exception, not the rule. -The hotel avertises a gym and swimming pool on hotels.com, however, there is no gym on the site. The hotel does offer a free gym pass to a gym across the street above a sketchy dance bar if you are inclined, I wasn't. The pool is poorly maintained and the water is stagnant with no obvious water circulating through the pool. It is unfortunate because the small pool is on the roof top affording a great view of the city- if only it was more appealing to go in. - The free breakfast offered is as it is stated- free, however the quality of the food is poor. I found dirt on my lettuce more than one day and some of the dishes they put out have obvious dried-on food remains. Their breads/muffins extra were often stale and hard. The fruit was blackened and of poor quality. Rice was cold... -Room service and their restaurant food is really about the same quality as their free breakfast. - The room as per hotels.com also advertises a full kitchenette. There is a kitchenette but it is empty. You can ask for dishes and pots/pans etc. You will also need to ask for basic things usually supplied in hotel rooms such as an iron and ironing board. Their laundry service is VERY expensive. - The neighbourhood around the hotel is a bit sketchy and quite poorly kept. The MRT is about 2-3 minutes away walking and two shopping malls are within 5-10 minutes of walking which is

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in...no hot drink facilities in the room, the internet never worked and the IT gut they sent to look at it messed up my laptop and cost me $30 to sort it out..room was very noisy from the Manila traffic

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are big and good value for Money. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss but the omlette chef is great. I will stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Ortigas CBD, and if you're up to shopping, Shangrila is almost stone throw away. In regards with the service, the front desk attendant who assisted us was very courteous so even if we experienced a slight delay with checking in, it didn't bother us. The room's very spacious, very clean and the cityscape view from outside is very relaxing. The buffet breakfast is also a must-try, everything tasted good, from the rice to the breads, to the desserts, etc. My husband and I will definitely stay here again.

The door/security people were great, the location central and the hotel has everything we needed. The only thing quite annoying were the internet hiccups and the lack of communication between the kitchen staff and the reception staff. Get this right and it will be one amazing experience for the guests.

Was quite pleased. Elevators a little slow. Need more for this size building. Hallways were warm. Overall great place to stay.

Ok hotel. All the doors down the stairway was locked, I questionned this due to safety issues on what would happen if there was a fire and u had to use the stairs, you would be locked inside the stairways without the possibility to exit on the floor you wanted. They said it was locked for our security, but I am more conserned about the safety. Cheap prizes, quite big rooms with refrigerator etc, small bathroom. You should book it if you are staying a couple of days.

We stayed here for a night before we flew out of ninoy aquino airport the following morning. I was amazed how nice of a hotel it was for the price. Best Buy here!

Dirty room- the walls have black marks and paint is chipping off. Sofa was missing cusions. Forget about the free wireless it doesnt work. You can connect then the connection drops. And to top it off construciton noise from 7 am til 10 pm. The hotel staff was very nice but that is all I can say in favor of this hotel. It is hard to get to from the airport. Makati is a much better choice.

we were happy with our stay the staff was so nice, and the breakfast was good only the things that i don't like the cutlery and the cockery not really clean. room service was good.

It isn't brand new and it is far a way to be a three to four star hotel. The most worst is the breakfast quality. If you have another choice in Manila better you avoid yourself from a bad experience.

Well, it seemed further from the Manila Airport then the mileage that was listed when I booked. The security there seems to think they are what's hot. They will stand in the way of the door and not move out of the way just about every time you enter. The reception desk was very busy and cluttered with paperwork. It seemed they were very disorganized. I had to wait about 20 minutes to finally be allowed to go to my room after checking in. That was not fun because I was tired. I have never encountered a wait before after checking in. There was construction going on directly outside my window well into the night that was noisy and bright from the cutting and welding. Basically this place was terrible for the atmosphere presented but it was nice in appearance. I would never stay again though.

The Lancaster Hotel in Shaw Blvd. Mandaluyong is a good location as it has easy access to some of the malls. The staff are polite and friendly. The breakfast is great which is included and it has a good aerial view of Manila. The only thing I don't like is the room is still dim despite all the lights are ON. I think they should put more lighting to brighten the room. Cynthia NT Australia

the staff took care of us very well. the food was better than good. the penthouse was wonderful and the view on the 33rd floor is worth the price it's self.

Really friendly staff great value 4 money

The most that we like of this hotel are the employees are friendly and respectable especially in the buffet section.

1. I found the breakfast staff inattentive. 2. The curtains in our suite were not working. I had to get up on a chair to manually fix the drapes so I could pull it close. 3. The living room area is so big while the bedroom was very cramped. 3. The billing process took long. But otherwise, we got our value-for-money, considering the size of our room.

The room that we stayed in had 2 bedrooms. The room that i was in has a door that gets locked by accident when the knob hits the wall. When I called room service to open it for me....I had to wait for over an hour before they could open the door. And it happened to me TWICE! OMG! Talk about BAD service.

This hotel is now my favorite budget hotel in Manila, it does everything well with no fuss and very tidy and clean. Beds are comfortable, shower is hot, linen is clean, small but quaint outside pool, nice breakfast too. The Lancaster is set in a relatively quiet neighborhood with amenities very close by. I think you will be hard pressed to find a hotel at this price with the standard of service the Lancaster offers. Definitely an excellent budget stay in Manila.

Employees are very courteous, place is neat, room service is fast just need a little improvement with the toiletries,towel change and airconditioning. The room next to us is being renovated so there's a lot of noise in the morning. Hammering on the wall. Overall, it's ok . Convenience wise, it's the best location, it's near the Shopping malls, and taxi cabs are accessible. I highly recommend this hotel and I will certainly stay there again.. employees are warm and courteous with the guests even the guards.

The hotel is just a couple of blocks from Shangrilla & Mega Malls, about a p50-60 taxi ride, depending on traffic. The Executive Suites are kinda cramped with tiny bedrooms. The pool & jacuzzi is up on top of the roof and usually pretty cool. Staff is great and welcoming, but housekeeping takes a while to get some things up to you if they ever come up at all without a reminder call. We also needed then to repair the internet outlet on the wall of our room the first day and they just left it open for the rest of the week we were there, completely forgetting to finish it. Also the internet is slow, so if you're doing any business stuff it's basically dealing with slower DSL speed, less than 700Mhz. The breakfast buffet is nice and has it's good & bad days, but very nice to eat breakfast up at the Peak and get to enjoy your meal above the city skyline.

Close to Ortigas ...... Great Staff, Rooms good size and Tidy. Over all a good experience
