Hotel Boccaccio - روما

For my 5 night stay in Rome I did a lot of research into the various hostels and hotels available around the Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps area, and the Boccaccio consistently rated high on a lot of website reviews. So I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. First off, it's extremely easy to find, just a block or so down from Station Barberini, which is only 2 stops from Termini. When you get there you go up one flight of stairs (a lift is available) and are greeted by a smiling Patty at the door. Patty is the 3rd generation owner of the Boccaccio and a lovely, maternal presence in the house. If nots really a hostel, nor pension or hotel. It really is an extension to Patty's home, and guests are encouraged to treat it that way. So no fancy locks, TVs, etc. I stayed in the single room overlooking the front door. I've heard other reviews mention the noise but I was fine. It's bright, sunny, big for a single, comfortable and sported a sink and cupboard. It was also very clean, and the cleaner does come around every day to tidy up. There's a separate bathroom and another shower/toilet room down the hall which is also maintained well. I suppose where one's expectations need to be adjusted is that this really is Patty's home, and if you're comfortable in that kinda space it's lovely. What separates it from hostels is the level of service, even if the amenities are similar to what you can get elsewhere. I'd definitely recommend it for travellers who want a personable experience in Rome.

Patty, the Owner/Manager of the hotel is very helpful. This hotel, though provides very basic amenities, is excellently located being within walking distance to several tourist sites.

Location is definitely the best part about this place. It's basically an apartment where the bedrooms have been converted into separate places for people two stay. There are two bathrooms that are shared for all of the guests (one shower). They were quite clean when I arrived but some people showed up my second day who must not have been quite as cleanly. I was a but confused about the key situation, in that all of the room keys were to be left where they were basically accessible to anyone staying in the hotel. Not that any problem arose, but my stuff wasn't locked. I probably wouldn't have stayed here were it not for the location, because I felt I could get much nicer places for the same price elsewhere, but location was great.

Although you have necessities, this is a BARE MINIMUM establishment. The photos make it quaint and charming. It is just adequate. Plastic cups in the room. 2 hard upright chairs. No comfort. I had to take soap to the bathroom to wash my hands. None was provided nor paper towels for drying hands. However, there was a sink in the bedroom I could use. Things seemed disorganized.

The location is great. Right next to the Metro, Trevi Fountain, almost everything is within walking distance! If you are looking for a place to sleep, have your own room for a reasonable price, and 24 hour entry, then this is the place to be. The bed could have been more comfortable, but the room was big enough for me to throw my stuff everywhere, and being able to leave it there and lock up the room was a huge plus over a hostel, for the small price difference it was worth bumping up from a hostel. You get your own key, so the hotel is accessible 24 hours a day. Patty, the receptionist, was very sweet and willing to help if you needed something. The rooms are cleaned almost daily, towels are included, as well as essential toiletries. Overall i really enjoyed the place, and it was a perfect fit for what i was looking for. The noise of the street never bothered me, but then again i usually got back after the noise would quiet down. Great deal for a great location!

Felles dusj, en madrass hard som stein og en eldre tunghørt dame som vert er interessant, men ikke et godt alternativ om du tenker lengre opphold.Beliggenheten er derimot veldig fin.

Fint lille hotel til prisen. Der var oplyst i beskrivelsen af hotellet, at der ville være badekåbe til rådighed, men det var der ikke - og det var en ulempe, da bad og toilet var på gangen. Meget sød ejer der var villig til at besvare spørgsmål.

Det lille Hotel ligger i en lille stille gade, i bygningen er der 3 forskellige hoteller, det var nemt at finde og alt fungerede fint. Vi havde et godt værelse med bad, og fik morgenmadskuponer til en cafe i gaden. Det var første gang vi var i Rom, og vi var meget positive over at bo i gå afstand til mange af de store seværdigheder.

Наш номер не был комфортабельным, требуется ремонт и реконструкция под современные стандарты. В номере нет телевизора, однако есть интернет без дополнительной оплаты. Завтракать приходилось в малюсеньком баре по соседству с отелем. Завтрак-это громко сказано, подают кофе или капучино и рогалик. Это всё.

Sobere, maar schone kamers, centraal gelegen op 2 minuten van de Trevifontein. Patty is bereidwillig met het maken van reserveringen of het verstrekken van andere gewenste informatie over de stad.
