I highly recommend this hotel! Location is ideal, rooms have high ceilings and large windows, very clean. Also, the staff was amazingly helpful and kind and professional. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to Florence.

This gem of a hotel is located on the main street of the city among the hustle and bussle of all the main attractions. Service was amazing - 5 stars! Room was comfortable, nothing fancy, but definitely great value considering the location and service.

Staff was very good and able to help us find what we needed. Room and breakfast were good as well. Location of the room was quiet. We would stay there again.

Wonderful people work and run this hotel. The location could not be better. I highly recommend staying here - the experience at the Axial is excellent.

Since this hotel is on a busy pedestrian street you will hear noises all night from the people walking on the street.

The Hotel Axial is conveniently located right in the middle of a number of the main sights of Florence. It is located on the second floor above a number of shops (including the Disney store) on a pretty touristy street. It was a quick and easy walk to the Duomo, Academia, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was well kept and comfortable. A great place to stay if you want to walk around Florence.

The staff was very helpful, Paul was particularly kind.

I stayed at the the Hotel Axial for 3 nights during a recent visit to Florence. The hotel is very conveniently located amidst many of the primary tourist attractions, and in fact on several occasions I was able to stop by my room on the way from one site to another to freshen up - very handy on a hot summer day! The room itself was clean, comfortable and reasonably well appointed. The hotel offers free wireless broadband, which was a little hit and miss at times, but adequate for keeping up with email and the news. A buffet breakfast was included with the room and, while not sumptuous, was quite satisfactory. The staff were uniformly friendly and attentive. I would unreservedly recommend the Axial to anyone planning see the sights of Florence.

The hotel is in the center of all major activity in Florence. It is extremely convenient for walking to the major museums, churches, restaurants and shopping.

The location and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The room was spacious and clean. The problem was the noise! Our room faced the interior courtyard. It closed to guests at 9:45pm, and based on the look of hotel I didn't anticipate any problems. The noise however didn't come from people in the courtyard, it came from the other rooms having windows opening to the center, and through the very thin door to the room. We awoke CONSTANTLY to people talking and slamming doors, late into the night and early in the morning. Not a great night's sleep. My only other comment is regarding the shower. It was very, very nice, with great water pressure and a comfortable spray. Unfortunately, the temperature varied WIDELY. It would go a few degrees either way, changing noticeably but not uncomfortably, then suddenly it became FREEZING COLD for 10-20 seconds. I nearly tore down the shower curtain jumping away from the cold water. Again, I can't say enough about the spectacular location and the very friendly staff. I would even take my chances again with the shower. But after such an interrupted night of sleep, I'd probably try some others before returning to this hotel.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left all of the hotel staff were both friendly and very professional. Axial is a relatively small hotel and spotlessly clean with excellent presentation. The location is perfect being just 100 metres or so from the centre of Florence. If I go to Florence again Axial will be at the top of my list of places to stay.

Very close to the SMN train station as we walked in about 10-15 minutes. The staff was super helpful. Upon checkin-in the receptionist whipped out a map and started to recommend all the best places to eat and shop without us even having to ask and it was all very helpful.

This is a superb hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. The location couldn't be better. It earns our highest recommendation..

If you are travelling to this hotel by car, make sure you know exactly where you are going! Driving through the "pedestrian only' streets is a nightmare and the street this hotel is on has 3 different sets of numbers! After we found the place though we were very happy with it. The location is excellent for walking around - right in between the duomo and uffizi. Our room was clean and big enough to fit all of our luggage in. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was pretty good too.

Fabulous location and extremely friendly/professional staff at lobby desk. Very good value for the price. Would definitely stay here again if traveling to Florence in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Great location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Free internet access was a real plus. The room was attractive and spacious. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

We had a courtyard room in this small (7 room) hotel in the busy centre of tourist Florence. To step out of a noisy and buzzing street into a quiet and comfortable hotel was wonderful. Likewise in the morning to be immediately in the heart of the tourist area - just 50 yards from the Duomo and about 200 yards from the Uffizi Gallery was fantastic.

The location of the hotel cannot be beat. The staff was helpful in recommending sights, tours and activities. The bathroom situation left something to be desired. The shower was separated from the rest of the bathroom by a curtain, so when one showered, the entire floor got wet. The "blow dryer" was merely a tube, resembling a vacuum cleaner hose with a nozzle making it quite difficult to dry and/or style hair. Free internet was available with a code which expired after several uses. The hotel staff was good about reauthorizing the code to allow for access to the internet when this happened. The hotel is "closed" from 1 A.M. til 6:30 A.M. so you need to notify them if you will be returning during those hours so they can let you in. This only presented a problem when the internet code expired during those hours. The hotel can arrange tours to Cinque Terre and The Best of Tuscany. The Best of Tuscany tour was a great way to spend a day and well worth the money. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and the location could not be beat. Minor inconveniences given the proximity of the hotel to the train (5-7 minute walk) and to all of the sights of Florence.

The location was excellent, 200 metres from Duomo and close to all the shopping. Room was spacious for two people, with good bathroom. Minimal breakfast.

It's difficult to beat Axial's location--it's right between the Duomo and the Piazza della Signoria. Fortunately, the folks at Axial don't rest on their locational laurels; the hotel is clean, quiet and features a very friendly, helpful and patient staff. I enjoyed my stay very much, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to others who want to travel to Florence.

Staff was very helpful and provided us w/ a map and information on the Museums. Location is great just a few blocks from the Duomo and u can walk to the train station. Best of all free Internet service. The room was very comfortable and so was the bathroom as did all hotels we stayed at it had a hairdryer.

Imagine - A three star hotel with reasonable rates only a block from the Duomo and a couple of blocks from the Palazzo della Signoria on a wide pedestrian street. The room was well furnished and comfortable; the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was not very fancy, but ample. For the price, this has to be the best value in Florence. A great location if you have only a few nights in Florence.

Outstanding location right by the Duomo yet quiet, air conditioned room. Staff was very helpful and had really good recommendations.

Seeing the Axial from the street did not inspire confidence. The building looked old and a bit run-down. But once we were inside, our view completely changed. It is right in the heart of Florence, and yet our room (which faced a beautiful courtyard) was extremely quiet and secluded. It was also comfortable (the bed was great, as was the water pressure in the shower). The hotel included a very nice lounge, with two computers (and free internet access). And the price for our room was very reasonable. Overall, this was a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotelli lähellä merkittäviä nähtävyyksiä ja kohtuullisen lähellä rautatieasemaa. Toisaalta kirkkojen läheisyys aiheutti myös melua, koska kirkonkelloja soitettiin aamulla esim. klo 7. Kadulta kuului aamuisin kovasti melua ja hotelli ei sovellu aamu-unisille, jos eivät ole hyviä nukkumaan melussa. Aamumelua lukuunottamatta ok paikka.

Buen hotel, buen servicio, buena ubicación justo cerca de todo, buen tamaño los cuartos. Solo hay que tener en cuenta si tienen cuarto a la calle, muy buena vista, pero el ruido esta muy tarde, mas si pasan ambulancias.

The hotel is so close to the Duomo and the Palazzo della Signoria on a wide pedestrian street. If you can see the Duomo from your room window, it means you will get up early, because of the city cleaners noises. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is minimal. The bathroom has nearly no water then we recognize that the hose was broken. Don't forget that the check out time is 10.30!

The hotel is located perfectly in the center of the main sights/attractions in Florence. The il Duomo Cathedral is just footsteps away and Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, and Accademia museum are all within very near walking distance. Just step out of the door and you are on one of the main shopping streets. Checking in was also a pleasure. We were offered help for booking visits to the Uffizi and Accademia museums, which could be a good idea if you don't want to spend hours in line waiting during high peak season. A note with a temporary Wireless LAN password was received and worked with my iPhone. The room was tidy and not too small. The bath room was fresh and big. The breakfast was little on the simple side for me that craves scrambled eggs and bacon. It consisted of bread (croisant and similar sweets), youghurt, boiled egg, coffee, different juices. However it was all fresh and made a good start for the adventures. The hotel has a Internet/relaxing room with two computers for those who needs more information during the stay which is a big bonus. It is not a very big hotel but more of the cosy type. So in all we were very happy with our stay due to the tidyness, friendly staff and the central location of the hotel.

The hotel is located really close to the Duomo in a main shopping street, and thus provides an excellent place to stay. The staff is also really helpful and friendly - I got good tips for where to go for a dinner and a drink in the night of my arrival. Free internet is also available in the small "lobby". Would definitely go again and will recommend for all my friends! Only in case you are keen to have a big room with really classy stay I would go elsewhere. For me having a clean, well taken care of room with a central location were the key points, and they were definitely well met.

The hotel is quite close to the railway station, which is handy, and in a beautiful position regard to the majestic Duomo of Florence. It was nice to get down to the pedestrian street and have a home made gelato and walk to all the attractions of Florence. The room was tidy and nice. Good breakfast

L'hôtel AXIAL est idéalement situé dans la rue reliant les deux pôles touristiques les plus importants de Florence. C'est en plus une zone à circulation très restreinte et donc très calme. Cette situation dans le centre historique permet de pouvoir faire des allers-retours ou des haltes entre deux visites et ce peut être intéressant quand il faut aller chercher une veste , un parapluie ou un Kway ou tout simplement se reposer un peu. C'est l'hôtel idéal pour visiter Florence dans cette gamme de prix, plus particulièrement pour les français ne parlant pas italien ou anglais.

Quand on pénètre dans le hall au rez-de-chaussée, on se demande si on a fait le bon choix. Mais on est très vite rassurés en arrivant à l'étage. L'hotel est très agréable, le personnel accueillant, les chambres spacieuses et confortables et en plus il est idéalement situé en plein coeur de Florence à quelques pas de la cathédrale Santa Maria del Fiore et du Ponte Vecchio. Nous le recommandons à tout le monde.
