We had a wonderful stay at the Metadee! We had no complaints for our 5 night stay. We stayed in a pool access villa and it was amazing. The beds were comfy, the villa was massive and very clean. Breakfast was great with a large selection of everything you would need for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach is a close walk and location of hotel is great, near shopa and restaraunts. We would stay here again.

We loved this hotel, It has the most amazhing pool i have ever seen! Staff is very friendly and always smiling! Breakfast was very good, lots of to choose from. We didnt eat dinner at the hotel as it was bit overprice and there r lost of other restauranst on a main road. Room was lovely! The location is good,its not far from the beach about 10 mins walk, lots of shops and restaurants around! The spa in a hotel is much more expensive and we went to one just at the end of the road and its a lovely one, recommned that one. The only bad think about the hotel was that when we arrived late at night they overbooked the hotel and they had to transfer us to other one for one night! They were very appologetic and they gave us a vouchers for dinner and also free transfer to airport! At the end of our stay we saw that we were not the only one! So they shoul sort out this overbooking for once! We would definitelly come back! If u booking i would recommand pay a bit extra for pool access, we didnt have one and regreted it!

Terrific resort and a wonderful service

Reallt enjoyed it - only downside was our deluxe pool access room smelt a bit of damp because next to pool but we bought incense and that problem was solcved! Lovely friendly staff and beautiful pool.

The resort was exceelent. The staff were all GREAT! The only down side is tha tit is about 10-15 minute walk to beach. However they do offer a shuttle every hour to beach.

The hotel is beautiful, the pool is very clean & runs the length of the complex which is cool. The breakfast is lovely, & set out in a clean air conditioned room, which is nice as it felt more hygienic than the other place we stayed in. We had a private villa which added to the luxury!

Deluxe pool view. Pros: Cheap room rates if you're out exploring phuket, i like that the bathroom can be opened up to the bedroom area. Cons: The bed and pillows wasn't very comfortable. Private pool vila. Pros: Good bed, very spacious, good sunlight in the pool and tanning areas. Cons: Pool is pretty small, only about 4x2m long. Overall, the outdoor pool is really nice, the resort is a tad far off from the main kata beach road, taxis are around 400 baht to patong, would recommend this resort if you can get your own transport like a motorcycle or car to travel around.

We really love the pool access room! It's very spacious and conveniently to the pool area! Big bath room! The room is really nice. Go for minimumly pool access delux to enjoy the resort! The only minus point is the Mosquitos at the cafe. I got 12 bites within half an hour for breakfast. The room wise is ok as there is electric mosquito repellant. Overall I still give the hotel a good rating for its room and the friendly service staff.

This hotel is located in the centre of kata beach with all amenities within a few minutes. It is set back from the main road, so remains quiet. There is a "buggy" shuttle up and down to the main road, so you don't have to walk, although it really isn't that far. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with a large selection to choose from. Room was very clean and spacious. The only issue we had was it was very hot when we returned after a night out and took quite a while for the aircon to cool it to a reasonable temperature in order to sleep. The pool area is very nice with plenty of space for everyone. The beach is also close. There is an abundance of bars and restaurants around the area - all very nice. We particularly liked the "autobar" - a converted VW Campervan which parked a few streets away - great cocktails and entertainment. Don't miss a trip to the islands - truly spectacular.

Metadee is a great place to stay. We were upgraded from a poolside room to a small villa with own pool. These rooms are 1bedroom but have a separate corner bed/ lounging area which is double bed size with foam matress. The main bed is a proper four poster. Therefore a small family could use one 1bedroom villa. Nothing really negative to write, except that they charge your credit card under the name of 'Happy Family' which is confusing as it bears no relation to the 'Metadee Resort'. Definitely recommend this place though.

I booked this hotel with a certain amount of trepidation, particularly as the reviews seemed to have started to turn into a bit more of a mixed bag of late. Upon arrival, I feared that my concerns might be about to come true, as the approach/entrance is not picturesque, and it does all seem rather smaller/compact in real life than the wide angle lens photographs suggest. However, the receptionists were charming and we were greeted with cold towels and drinks. It is true that their English is not perfect, but it is infinitely superior to my Thai. After giving us a little scare when we misunderstood what they were telling us, we were delighted to find out that we were being upgraded from a pool view room, to a private pool villa. Whilst this undoubtedly improved our stay/perception, I hope that my views have not been too clouded by our good fortune! The villa was very spacious, with an enormous bed in the middle of the room (a little too firm for my wife's tastes), complete with mosquito netting. There was also a separate day bed and usual desk, tea/coffee facilities etc., etc. The bathroom was light bright and large and opened out into the private pool area with shaded table & chairs, sunbeds, and an outside “rain” shower. It is fair to say that some furniture/fittings/décor are showing some wear and tear, but overall it is not yet a problem. I think that part of the issue of the appearance is that most of the furniture (verandahs, sunbeds etc.) are all wooden and therefore are showing signs of weathering. However, overall things appear to remain in a good state of repair. Although we had the use of our small private pool, we preferred to sit by the main pool as there was more shade and most particularly, more breeze than was available within our own enclosure. There is also the benefit of the large pool, of which enough has already been said by others. My partner and I have just spent a week (4/2/2012-12/2/2012.what a fantastic hotel from the front of house staff to the cleaners it was brilliant and I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially couples who want a peaceful holiday as it is set back of the road or you can stroll up the road for night life or get a ride in the hotels buggy.on arrival we decided to up grade to a pool access deluxe villa which was superb,indoor,outdoor drench shower huge bath ,flat screen tv the list goes on and at a great price which the manager was happy to barter me for,nothing is set price in Thailand ,but the best thing of all is the magnificent pool meandering through the hotel grounds it is sheer paradise ,we are in no doubt going back to this hotel as soon as my next holidays come up.10 out of 10.

Very well maintained gardens and pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The room was well kept and had a great bathtub and rain-like shower!

I stayed there on my honeymoon and the hotel was great. We arrived early (0300) and the hotel let us drop off our bags until check in time. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The location was very good. It was off of the main road which kept the noise down but the area around the hotel was still very accessible. To get to the beach they even had golf carts the staff would drive you around in. The only bad thing about the hotel was they didn't have the type of room we had reserved originally. They gave us a room just below the type we booked for the first night, the room was still very impressive. They also included a dinner, spa, and city tour for 2 for our "inconvenience".

First off, I'm a picky and more importantly a seasoned traveler. It was my first time to Phuket and my dilemma with selecting the right place to stay at was I wanted to relax and have close access to city life and entertainment. Metadee fit the bill! It's far enough from the main road that you have full relaxation rights to your room or the pool areas. I highly recommend you try and get a room with private access to the pool. These offer a private balcony you can sit out on, as well as dip in the pool a mere couple of meters away from your bed. How great is that? The restaurant menu was hearty and reasonably priced with a mix of Thai and Western dishes, all very delicious, I didn't have a single bad dish, I was here for 8 days and it never got old. The front desk was very helpful with arranging tours and tickets to shows as well as transportation to and from. I would definitely stay here again. Great for a single traveler, couples, friends, families with or without kids. Metadee accommodates everyone's needs for sure. Free internet and breakfast with every room is a great perk too! Breakfast consists of a mix of Asian and Western selections, as well as an omelet chef ready to custom make any omelet you want! I would grade this property slightly higher than a 4 personally. But they are labeled as a 4 star property. Location, service and amenities are spot on! Enjoy!

We really liked this hotel. Very nice, big and clean rooms (we stayed at deluxe pool view). Beautiful pool area. Good location not direkt on the main road (hotel offers shuttle all the time from hotel and the 300 meter to the mainroad). Delicius breakfast. Good restaurant and pool bar (a little expensive though). Very sweet, helpfull and serviceminded staff . I would recommend this hotel to anyone anytime.

This is de second time i stayed in Metadee. Last year i booked their private pool villa with my friends. We simply loved our room and had a great time swimming in their spectacular pool. De villa is exactly de same as pictures show in hotel.com. This year i booked their pool access for a short getaway, for my bf birthday. De staffs of Metadee surprise us with a birthday cake when we order room service. Great service i must say. De pool in Metadee is really very great. De staffs were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend Metadee to couples n friends.

Pool access room was the star attraction...the overall ambience was extremely good and relaxing. Hotel staff were very co-operative, hospitable and responding to our needs. Highly recommended for families!!! Would definitely like to stay here again.

Over all we where happy with our choice of hotels.You must book a pool access room.On saying that, that was what we did when we arrived late at night the room had a musty smell about it and not a lot of room ,but ok. The next day we upgraded to a villa as we where staying 8 more nights .So glad we did we loved it and plain to go back.Was a bit annoyed when I found that other people had done the same and didnt have to pay for upgrade,and didnt stay as long as us.and the hotel was not booked out. Staff so nice,cocktails need to be a bit better,food was good.golf cart service was great. I think the linen needs to be up graded.Saying all that we will be back.

We stayed at the Metadee Resort for three nights after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We were certainly not disappointed and it was the best accommodation of our trip. From the moment we arrived the lovely Teena checked us in promptly and helped us with any queries we had during our stay. The resort is beautiful with lovely lush tropical gardens and a very large pool which wraps around the whole complex so most ground floor rooms have direct pool access. You need to be a marathon swimmer to swim from one end to the other! A nice pool is important if you like swimming as the sea is quite dangerous in July when we were there – dumpy waves and strong rips. Food and drinks can be ordered from the main pool area throughout the day. Our room was spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Computer access was available at reception and the restaurant with free wi-fi around the complex. A courtesy car was available to take guests to Kata Beach and the hotel buggy to take guests up to and back from the main road where there are plenty of shops, eating places, massage, laundry and minimarts. We hired a driver for five hours to take us up to the Big Buddha, Chalong Temple and a couple of shopping malls. His taxi stand was to the left of the entrance going out and his negotiated charge was 1200BHT – very reasonable. His name was Sity – not sure of the spelling – but he spoke pretty good English. We also went to Patong one night – lots going on with a real buzz to the place but we were pleased we chose to stay at Kata which is a lot quieter. Would definitely recommend staying at the Metadee and hope to go back there sometime.

We stayed at Metadee for 4 nights in June/July and had a wonderful stay all around. The staff was attentive and polite, the hotel room was beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the food at the complimentary buffet was excellent. I suppose the only thing not perfect about the place was the distance from the main road. The hotel sits about 400m or so off the main road. They do however have a buggy shuttling people to and from the main road which makes up for the inconvenience. There's also a free shuttle to Kata beach every hour. We will deffinitely be returning for our next visit to Phuket.

Loved the pool access room. Would definitely insist on that. Room was great with an awesome rain shower. Breakfast was fantastic buffet. Hotel was off main drag and difficult for taxis to find. Far from Patong which we wanted but does mean a 300 to 500 baht ride.

We love the pool and the friendly service of the staff. However, during our stay, we had to catch 2 cockroaches and a centipede that were in our room.

Great place, friendly staff, comfy clean rooms, good food, shops/market/restaurants not far from resort front door, very easy to get to karon or patong for even more shopping and great food! Nice and private with lots to do!

The resort is wonderful... The resort + the room is very beautiful. The customer service & the guy who working in the metadee resort is absolut Helpful & Friendly & also Cheerful. I higher recommand this resort to everybody who going there.

Detta är ett mycket trevligt och mysigt hotel, mycket gästvänliga, kör med golfbilar ut till "stora" vägen. Lite långt till stranden men här körs en minibuss varje heltimme.

Vi var veldig fornøyde med hotellet. Service, og beliggenhet var utrolig bra. Mat (frokost) var også veldig bra. Og det var veldig familievennlig. Eneste vi ville klagd på var dårlig nettforbindelse.

We stayed in private pool villa and its very beautiful designed and exceeded our expectations. The whole area look like a green park and is nice in sunset. Beach is a bit away but why go to an overcrowded beach when you can stay in this nice resort. Everything was good and staff happy and friendly except the breakfast manager that never greeted us nor served us coffee/tea and when we ask him for baby chair we had to wait until he did some other task. Overall, good place.

Dette hotel er simpelthen fantastisk. Personalet er utroligt sød og servicemindet. Dejligt morgenmads buffet de alt til morgenmad. Når vi kommer tilbage til Thailand så er det hotel vi vil på. Tak for et dejlig ophold.

Super hotel,kan ikke finde noget dårligt at sige.Service,personale er bare super.Tæt på alting og alligevel tilbagetrukket fra al larm fra vejen.Ville helt sikkert vælge samme hotel igen hvis vi skulle til Kata igen,eneste minus er at drikkelse og mad er meget dyrt på hotellet.

Et kjempeflott hotellkompleks med en god beliggenhet sentralt i Kata. Bodde her mot slutten av en 14 dagers ferie, og skulle gjerne sett at vi hadde kommet hit tidligere. Bodde i en villa med private pool som medførte at vi både hadde meget komfortabelt privatliv samtidig som vi kunne benytte hotellets andre fasiliteter (treningsrom, resturant, meget store svømmebasseng etc...) Høy kvalitet både på mat og service. Dersom flyet ditt går sent og hotellet er fullbooket slik at du ikke kan få en sen utsjekk så har hotellet en egen "leilighet" hvor det er mulig å oppholde seg/ta en dusj etc før flyreisen hjem (f.eks etter en dag i bassengområdet eller på stranda). Kjapp, gratis og god internettforbindelse for de som måtte ha behov for det!

Dette hotellet er helt fantastisk! Aldri før har jeg møtt så imøtekommen betjening, som er veldig serviceinnstilte og alltid har et smil på lur. Hotellet ligger sentralt ved Kata beach, med en kort taxitur til andre strender i Phuket. Hotellets frokost er veldig bra, og restauranten serverer veldig gode lunsjer og middager. Hotellet har nok solsenger til at du alltid får plass, men det er aldri fullt. Vi ble oppgradert første natten gratis pga overbooking, og jeg anbefaler alle å høre om dere kan oppgradere (evt se hvordan det ser ut i en prisklasse høyere). Hotellrommene er helt fantastisk! Eneste minus er at gaten utenfor har noen veldig irriterende gateselgere som aldri slutter å mase på deg og dra deg inn i butikken. Dette er ikke noe problem, men vær bevisst på det!
