We stayed here bc we had an early flight and needed something close to the airport. This was a good idea to stay here and there were 3 good restaurants within walking distance.

We needed a safe, clean and moderately priced hotel for our short stay in Rome. This hotel met all of our needs, was very comfortable and clean. A short walk to a few shops, restaurants and the coast. Perfect for us.

It was perfect for our purposes. We were at the end of our trip and one of us had a very early flight, so it was great being right at the Airport and not having to worry about traffic.....also being able to get a few extra hours of sleep was a very good thing!!!!

After a very long stressful day of traveling, I was forced into finding a hotel due to Airline delays, I called Hotels.com to assist finding an hotel close to the Roma airport (Hotels.com was gr8, the operator was extremely helpful). When I arrived @ the Cancelli Rossi Hotel Rome Airport there was construction at, so the staff made sure registration was quick. I found my room perfect in every way (free wifi, clean, comfort, size, free breakfast, ect...). I ate dinner then went to bed for an early flight. In the morning (6:30) I went down for breakfast. I was told breakfast begins at 7am (strange time since most hotels start @ 6 am) so I raced back to hotel room to shower & dress. When I began my shower the water went from warm to ICE-COLD and stayed like that! Not a fun way to begin a long day's journey... no coffee, breakfast and ice-cold shower! If it wasn't for the shower this hotel would have a much higher score. Ciao, Russell A.

The hotel is clean and nice. The service was ok, nothing more or less. But the room was really warm!! And we couldn't have the window open because of the airport that is near by.

I have stayed in the hotel quite a few times. Quite close to the airport, although you must budget at least 15-20 Euro for a taxi ride if you are outside shuttle bus time-schedule. Rooms are clean, I have never used the restaurant and obviously the noise from airplanes can be felt, but it is acceptable for an airport hotel. The only disappointment I had was that in one occasion the price of the room was much higher than the usual asking price.

The room we stayed in had been updated and was very comfortable. We've stayed here twice and we returned because it is so convenient for those international flights that always leave early in the morning. I hate having a long trip to the airport early in the morning--fighting traffic & public transportation when you're worried about time. We also returned to this hotel because the on-site restaurant is pretty good, especially compared to some other hotel restaurants in the area. This hotel provides exactly what I want the night before a long & early morning flight: a good meal, a quiet room and an easy way to reach the airport. FYI: to get to this place from the airport you have to wait for the shuttle (it serves more than one local hotel) at the local taxi stand outside the parking garage (not the taxis that take you into Rome).

Hotel is clean and comfortable. Surrrounding area looks rough but we walked and found restaurants and perfectly safe. Would stay here again when flying out of Rome.

All the he personnel were hospitable and helpful. The sign to the hotel was small so be on the lookout for it. The hallways were dark, but the room was immaculate and the bathroom modern, clean and with plenty of soap items. We arrived quite early and without hesitation the agent put us in a room. The shuttle was inexpensive and everyone was cheerful and accommodating when I made my inquiries. The internet in the lobby was free and I was able to print my boarding passes but the use of a hotspot for my I-Pad would have cost 7 Euros.

This hotel is okay for the cost involved - it should not be confused with a 4 star hotel. The main drawback was the surrounding area which was what you would expect around an airport. Our room for three included a roll-away bed which turned out to be pretty comfortable, but made a smallish room seem even smaller. We were hesitant to stray far from the hotel, but that turned out to be a needless concern. You can easily walk to the docks where you can enjoy fresh fried fish while you stroll among the boats and shops. It's just not like being in the city neighborhoods of Rome.

What a dump! I had a reservation with this hotel for over months and never di they let me know there was a shuttle bus to their 'airport' hotel 4 km from the airport. Cost me 15 eu instead of the 6 it should of. Hotel down a back alley. Upon arriving in the dingy lobby, they said I could eat next door, which was not what I call next door, and could not walk that far, so I went without dinner. Then the crummy room with filthy carpeting just gave me the creeps. Couldn't sleep for thinking of what else was dirty that I couldn't see.

The hotel was sufficient but I feel overpriced - would have been better staying in Rome and using the train rather than staying close and using the shuttle -

I was very impressed by the hotel and especially the room and en suite. But it would have been nicer if the hotel had it's own restaurant and that we didn't have to walk to another hotel's restaurant. Regarding the shuttle service, I was lucky as I needed to be at the airport during the shuttle run. If however I had to be at the airport between the hours of 1pm and 4pm I would have needed to take a taxi as did my children. Finally and on a positive note, you should advise people that this hotel is just a few minutes walk away from the most delightful "fisherman's wharf" and seafood restaurants overlooking an inlet which leads out to the Mediterranean Sea. Absolutely gorgeous.

The hotel is clean, with good service. The hotel is located near the airport, but still 10 minutes drive with a cab and it gets to 15 Euros, I couldnt find any shuttle bus to take me to the hotel from the airport though there is one usually, from the hotel to the airport you can reserve a shuttle, which will cost reasonable extra charge, regarding the neighborhood, I got there around the evening time, there is nothing much around, also food options are limited, only the hotel restaurant is open ( which is nice )

first room we were given the carpet was so dirty that I asked for another room. Nice man at check in quickly changed our room. Put us in a cleaner room but the shower leaked all over each time we used it. Stayed for two nights, would not do it again. 6 Euros per person each way to and from airport. Only 10 minute ride, seems expensive. Not very helpful with info for travel into Rome. Breakfast acceptable. 7 Euros for WiFi but complementry computer in lobby. Can walk to restaurants.

We only stayed one night but we were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the bed was quite comfortable. Overall we would probably stay there again. Also, they had a shuttle service to the airport which was very convenient for only a small fee.

Highly disappointed due to location. We chose this airport hotel because our flight didn't leave until 8PM and the description stated the hotel is 600m from the train to go into downtown. It turns out that the train stop hasn't been there for 'several years' according to the desk clerk. It cost us 72Euro for a round trip shuttle to downtown (an unexpected cost). The airport shuttle also runs only 4 times a day if I remember correctly costing us another 20Euro each trip. The restaurant is only open in the evening starting at 7PM which was unfortunate (although the food was quite good). The surrounding area was quite dirty with little food options (restaurants were closed for lunch). The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and English was quite good. Allowed us to store our bags for the day albeit in an unlocked office. Overall disappointed due to our desire to use the day to go into the city using the train. If it really has been several years since the train stop was closed they ought to update their website.

We were in the need for a nice, clean hotel near the airport for our family. We had a early morning flight. It was perfect for just that. The only issue was I thought that there was a complimentary breakfast buffet. It's not complimentary and it's in a restaurant. I will also say that it was a bit alarming when we arrived and there were extremely loud airplanes flying over our head. Surprisingly we didn't hear them at all. That was quite a relief.

The room was small but clean and comfortable for our needs. My only complaint was that Wi-Fi was not included for free.

It would have been nice to know that the hotel/airport shuttle wasn't free but overall, the hotel was clean, quiet and close to the airport. The staff was friendly and spoke a little English.

We needed the room for day time only. We had to catch a flight same day. They made us pay for another room because we were 5 persons including three children. We never needed the second room. We did not even got the key for it. But still payed for it.

The taxi driver -- we hired a taxi in Rome to drive us because by the end of our trip our luggage weighed too much to drag around train stations -- couldn't find the hotel. An omen? It's set back behind its sister Mach 2 Hotel that faces the street. The lift was spacious enough for all three of us plus our luggage. The halls are wide enough to drive a car through. The place obviously caters to Americans. The room was big enough for the three of us but not huge and working the air conditioning reamained a mystery. As for location, the hotel shuttle ride was reasonably brief. The taxi ride to Ostia Antica archeological site was longer but we got to see the scenery and the Tiber. The driver going charged us a flat rate while the driver coming back used the fare meter and the two were identical. The best part of the hotel, located at the sister operation, that served us one of the finest meals we ate in Italy. I tipped the two waiters and they waved and smiled until we were out of sight in the evening darkness.

The hotel has a simple but good quality breakfast in the price. The room was nothing special but adequate. The staff were helpful and friendly. The parking appeared to be free despite the write up saying it needed a fee. It is 4 minutes drive to Rome Airport. Perfect for catching an early morning flight.

This hotel was convenient to the airport and for an overnight stay had every convenience. I was disappointed with the room service meal - the meal offered a meat dish wth bread - overall food was enjoyable but I would have enjoyed some salad and/or vegetables as part of the main course. Shuttle service to the airport was very efficient.

I wanted an hotel close to airport. This was inexpensive option compared to other hotels. It was clean, modern inside with nice shower and bathroom. airport shuttle was reasonably priced but didn't start until 4 pm from Fumicino airport. I called twice to make sure i got an early wake-up call and they didn't call. Also the tv movie channel did not work and they couldn't fix it. room was hot so had to open up the window wide since A/C wasn't available until after a specific date in April.

but I must say that the room was very clean- no real reason to stay here if you are looking for airport convenience for an early flight as shuttle does not start till 6 AM and the cab ride from here costs the same as it does from hotels closer to the airport. The good news about being directly in the take -off flight path is that we were only there for about 5 hours and the flights tapered off after midnight- otherwise-the noise might have gotten a little bit much. Amazingly,there are some decent restaurants nearby - but nothing at the hotel itself.

The hotels advertise english channels and do not provide anything outside of the news. They advertise air conditioning and then refuse to turn it on. The lobby was old and crappy, the rooms were okay with the bathroom being shiny and new. Cab drivers from the airport hate taking clients to these nearby but not walkable hotels, so the hotels shoudl really offer shuttles and stop charging so much for that service and the internet. The prices are ridiculous.

The only real thing this hotel has going for it is the closeness to Fiumacino airport. It was quite mediorcre over all. The breakfast was the best part.

It was ok for a last night in Rome. Nice because it was close to the airport. The bathroom smelled kind of moldy, but otherwise it was decent.

In the past I have used both Cancelli Rossi and Mach 2 (both are basically the same complex) as I readied for a flight from Fiumicino. The hotel is welcoming, clean and the rooms are comfortable. The location is ideal for a one-night stay and there are even convenient locations nearby for a quick bite like pizza al taglio and a bar for a coffee. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle ride for 6 euros which is half the cost of a taxi, at least. WiFi is not free, but available and the airport shuttle must be reserved and are frequent (I believe very half hour). The staff was friendly and helpful and I really could not find a key improvement.

We stayed at this hotel the night before an early flight from Rome. It is close to the airport, has an adequate restaurant nearby, and is clean and comfortable.

I stayed in this hotel on 11/05/2011. the hotel does not have shuttle bus from FCO airport to hotel before 4 PM (so I took taxi), and it will cost you $6 person if you want to take the hotel shuttle bus. The breakfast area, fitness center and office are not located in the same hotel, they are in other hotel that next to it, very inconvenience. hotel breakfast won't start until 7 AM, if you are in early flight, you can forget it (I had early flight, so I did not have a chance for the free breakfast). the Elevator is not clean. Try to stay in Hilton, they have free shuttle to airport and Rome.

Defenately not a 4 star hotel but it's OK to cutch morning flight

The hotel was OK, had some problems trying to find out where to catch the hotel van, and it was not free as was told when first booked. The fees are 6 euros for each person, each way for the airport trip and the fre breakfast is at the hotel next door and it is also a better hotel

Close to airport (about a mile), but prepare to pay E$20 pp (fixed price) for taxi as shuttle was only operating at limited times. From the airport until 2115 and back from hotel until 1030 (E$6 pp). Maybe look for hotel with own shuttle? Moderate size room, shower only but OK. Small TV. Continental breakfast (OK) was in sister hotel about 100 metres accross the way but could be a problem if raining..

This hotel is an excellent choice if you need to stay near the Rome airport. The rooms are excellent, wi-fi is inexpensive, staff friendly and helpful. They have airport shuttle service available every 20 minutes from 7am for less than $10. I will stay here whenever I need to overnight before or after a Rome flight.

We only needed a room for one night convenient to the airport and I was pleased to find this hotel. It was clean and the hotel staff was nice.There was a good Italian restaurant around the corner, and the hotel's complimentary breakfast had great options. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Efficient, newer business hotel very near FCO. Excellent alternative to expensive hotel at the terminal.

I booked the hotel overnight to catch an early morning flight. On the day of arrival I waited a long time (maybe more than an hour?) at the bus station with no bus in sight. I then called the hotel front desk and was told that the bus would be at the airport in 45 min. When the bus arrived, the driver blamed the hotel for not sending the bus earlier... who know what happened between them. The hotel does not seem to care about the long delay. The room was a mere basic type. The bathroom has only one towel and had some strange smell. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked this room for its convenient location to the airport and the fact that Hotel.com gave it a "4" rating. We found that the only thing correct was that it was close to the airport. The hotel was out of date, the lobby furniture was soiled and dirty, not to mention the rude staff. They did not have a business center for customer to check their flights times or complete early check-in on their flight. We asked for a bottle opener and were told that we had to return it right away, because they only had one opener. They recommended that we eat at their great restaurant. The meal my husband got was disgusting. Veal with some type of really lumpy gravy--was terrible. The waiter kept steering us away from certain dishes, saying that it would take a really long time. He was not kidding--my husband ordered potatoes--which came about 45 minutes after the veal was served--they were equally terrible. One good thing I found was the bathroom--it was clean and had a great shower, although after it was turned off, the water started running again--and I was in the other room and could not turn it off, because it was already off. We ordered a cab at the front desk and the cab was late. This was our last night in Italy. We were so hoping to have a really good experience to end our Italy vacation.

This was the perfect hotel for a morning flight out of FCO. Close to the airport and at a great price. We took the shuttle at 6 euro and it was on time, comfortable and plenty of room for all our luggage. Breakfast was included and ample. We found a chinese restaurant right outside the hotels (there is a sister hotel next door) which was a very welcome change after 3 weeks of italian food. Room was small as we had a triple and the third bed was not so comfy. Great staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to those flying out of FCO.

Very nice modern bathroom. Quiet peaceful rest in comfortable bad. Staff was helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Just what we needed.

pointless to stay there for the flight...

Conveniently located near the airport and close to a an excellent family owned restaurant a block away and down a side street. Only downside is WiFi charges far too high
