The Rusland Pool Hotel - أولفيرستون

The Rusland Pool hotel was a very good choice. We arrived late in the evening but it wasn't a problem - the receptionist even made sandwiches for us despite the kitchen being closed. We had a king size executive room which was a bit on the small side, but very comfortable and well furnished. The food in the restaurant was delicious and our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer.

Good low cost but comfortable stay in a friendly hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone.Will stay there again when walking in the Lakes.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Free WiFi, Fabulous food and great friendly staff.

Perfect for what we wanted.. lovely countryside and very welcoming.. A little dated but quaint! Very clean room and good breakfast..

Excellent friendly service from familly run hotel. Would certainly stay again.

Could not fault this hotel on anything. Easy to find. Spacious very clean rooms. Staff very friendly and so helpful. My husband has a problem with his diet and nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. They did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It was excellent. Next time we are in the Lake District we will definitely stay there again.

5 star service, excellant value for money. Lovely clean room. Great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We found the hotel to be clean and well serviced.the food was good and the service good. Rooms were also clean and tidy. Over all i would score hotel 4 out of 5 and i would use this hotel again.

I stayed there for 2 nights at the beginning of August. i used this hotel as a base for a work location nearby. I opted to dine at the hotel in the evening the food was of a reasonable standard, ranging from very tasty to adequate.The room I stayted in was a decent size and the shower was really good. The downside was that the bed was a little too firm for me and there is a lack of wireless internet in all of the rooms. I had a nice cooked breakfast before I left and this was good. Over all a nice hotel with very pleasant hosts, who ensure your comfort is top priority. But lacks in some small areas. I would consider returning even for a leisure weekend with the mrs as it is in a nice quiet location ideal for walking.

Wonderful place, so fully of history, with very welcoming staff, being helpful and happy full of smiles, will and have recommended to family and friends.

Apparently people come for the toaster. I would have taken it home if I could have carried it! Our room had a wetroom in the bathroom which was hyper-efficient. Staff were very friendly and made us feel at home.

Very friendly hotel with a Good quality restaurant serving good value meals. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and were able to accommodate for Gluten free dietary needs.

We had a very enjoyable break at Rusland Pool Hotel. It was easy to find and well positioned for touring the Lake District. The bedroom and en suite was a little dated but comfortable and clean and there was plenty of hot water and excellent shower. There was a good choice at breakfast and the food in the restaurant was also very good. Unfortunately the weather was very poor on our visit but apart from that would certainly recommend the Rusland Pool Hotel.

Booked last minute for a Cycle Event in Coniston. Location good - nice views over countryside, on side of a main road, but you don't hear it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming - a good family business. Simple functional room and good value. Found bed comfortable - hate the usual excessively springy hotel divans! As we needed an early night we ate in the hotel - food was excellent and service attentive. Due to our need for a 5am start, we thought we'd have to miss breakfast, but they laid out cereal, bread for toast and jams - with milk and yoghurt in a little beer fridge. Just the job to fuel up for 8 hours in the saddle next day! Couldn't ask for more

Beautiful area and a nice hotel, very good value with a large room and lovely views. Bit of a problem with the hot water in the shower, though!

All the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, without exception. They accommodated our late arrival (10:30pm) without qualm. The hotel was great value, especially considering it was Easter weekend - in the end we decided to stay for one night longer than planned. The room was comfortable, the shower was great, and breakfast was hot, generous and tasty. Highly recommended!

This hotel was excellant could not be faulted, the staff were pleasent and the service was good. i would definatly stay there again.

Reasonably priced close to lakes district

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. 20 min rive to Coniston Lake and 5 min drive to the old steam railway train link to Lake Windemere ( or 30 min drive) Steam train link fantastic to do a full cruise on the lake (£15 return trip on steam train and all day hop on hop off cruise boat and only 5 min away !!) Hotel is a lovely homely hotel. Breakfast is full English or pick and choose with all the extras you could wish for. Restaurant menu varied and good value for money. All staff friendly and cheerful and VERY helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that likes the small personal friendly touch. We have booked to return in 5 weeks time. This weekend was booked for a ballon flight which was cancelled due to misty morning so we have no hesitation on rebooking for the end of April when we will be exploring the lakes again and trying to get that elusive balloon flight ( 3rd time lucky) Hotel well worth visiting on any visit to the lakes

Very nice stay at the Rusland Pool hotel. Bob and his staff made our stay most enjoyable. Food was excellent , Hotel was ideal for all locations in the South Lakes.

What a wonderfully charming hotel set in a wonderful part of the UK. The hotel itself is nothing flash but what they have is exceptionally well maintained and run and the team are superb. Special mention must go to the owner Bob who is charming, chatty and cheeky too but absolutely made our stay special. The food is superb with service to match ( I recommend the black pudding and haggis stack starter mmmmmmm) and Bob even managed to sort some black pudding for breakfast too - cheers! You won't be disappointed and we will definitely return again. Thanks to all for a great stay.

we had a lovely stay at the Rusland Pool- we were given a 4 poster bedroom, which was clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was good, and also we ate both nights in the pub/restaurant, and the food was excellent there too.The choice of beers matched the service. we found the staff extremely pleasant - Sacha in the bar/restaurant in particular, she really looked after us and couldn't do enough to help us choose food/drink etc. the only downside I would say is, you are a bit away from the main towns and have to be prepared to eat and drink at the Rusland pool, but we didn't find it too much of a problem and would certainly recommend this hotel. s and have to eat at the Hotel at night, but we didn't

Hotel staff were friendly. A 10 minute drive to the nearest town, not a problem really. great place to stay and happily recommend to others.

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived at the hotel. The food was good both at breakfast and in the evening. When I mentioned about the mattress being hard for me, this was rectified while we were out. We will certainly return to this hotel

New management end 2009 and creating a great environment. Very friendly staff, nice clean comfortable rooms and food in restaurant excellent with generous portions. We nearly didn't book this as there were no reviews on Hotels.com but we were struggling to find something at the last minute and for 1 night. Really glad we did and will stay again. Close to motor musuem and zoo and 15 mins to Windemere. Seemed to cater well for cyclists
