Delano Homestead Bed & Breakfast - فيرهيفين

Big thank you to Paul and Heidi for their hospitality! We were looking for B&B's to stay in while we explored the coastal towns of MA during the off season (2nd weekend of April) and happened to find the Delano Homestead B&B. Paul - the owner and proprietor - welcomed us when we arrived, gave us a tour of the house and showed us to our room. The room was very spacious, lots of windows that brought in the spring sunshine, and a huge comfy bed. Being a B&B, our bathroom was right around the corner from our bedroom, but it was clean, spacious and didn't detract from the experience. The next morning, Heidi greeted us with a smile and a full spread of breakfast foods. Even though we only stayed for one night, it was a great experience!

We were pleasantly surprised at the historic nature of the B&B and the ambience of it, beautiful antiques and stylish decoration. Host was very welcoming and extra helpful re nearby ferry service from New Bedford to Martha's Vineyard. His knowledge allowed us to make the most of our stay on the island. Plentiful breakfast provided.

Elegant and in good taste is how I describe this beautiful old fashioned home filled with solid period furniture, oriental rugs and decorated as it might have been when the owners lived there. We stayed in the Delano room. It is spacious, has a very comfortable King size bed. We felt at home in the genteel environment, much to our liking. Paul showed us the living spaces we could utilize the snacks in the kitchen. He, showed us were breakfast would be served and made suggestions about sites to see in Fairhaven, restaurants nearby he recommends. We were only traveling through on our way to Nantucket but were delighted to discover this lovely quiet town, and the homestead which was built in 1832 by a great grand father of FDR.
