Very convenient to train station in a safe area. Plenty of shopping and eating establishments. breakfast service was excellent Other side of town fro Leaning Tower of Pisa-although not a bug town-all walkable. Only concern-no lift to 2nd floor room and I got bitten by bedbugs-at the end of a two week holiday in Italy However a really nice stay otherwise

Very surprised by the quality of the hotel. Not like a 2 star hotel the room was clean and spacious. Bit dated but you get what u paid for. Only down point was the shared bathroom. Very close to train station and staff was polite and helpful

very close to the train station but if comfort is what you're after for, i will look some place else.

Greeting from reception on arrival was poor and unfriendly. The garage parking (requested for two motorbikes) was not available despite being advertised. General cleanliness was ok and breakfast was good. Just a shame that the man on reception when we arrived was so unhelpful. The following morning a different member of staff was v. pleasant.

We stayed at the La Torre twice in a week. We were headed to Vernazza for 5 nights and flew in and out of Pisa. We opted for a shared bath room. The shower was tiny. Dont even think about bending over inside. Bring a towel. They provide hand towels, and thin ones at that. I dont remember soap, but there was likely some in the room. The room was adequate as far as size is concerned. Bed was okay. It was 90+ degrees outside so I wasn't too concerned with getting between the sheets. This place is super close to the train station (less than a 3 minute walk) and close to the airport as well (a cheap cab ride). I wouldn't even waste the time to take the train to the airport, the cab was so cheap. Breakfast was okay. Typical rolls and yogurt. Friendly staff. They allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel that we didn't want to drag to Vernazza. That was nice. A nice walk to the tower. Probably 15 minutes, but its past all the main city and stuff. I'm not sure who all these people are that are complaining about the walk. Most likely midwestern car addicts. Just throw on the flip flops and hike it! I'd stay here again, but I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to stuff like this. A little shady behavior down on the street at night. Typical late night 'commerce'. That's what you get so close to the train station though.

Nice hotel with really pleasant staff. Very good location, 1 min from the train station and 10 minutes from the centre of the town. I will definitely use the hotel again, if the if the opportunity presents itself.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station and airport. Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. The neighborhood immediately around the hotel seemed a bit rough but had no trouble walking to the main attraction (aka the Leaning Tower) and the front desk was very helpful in arranging a taxi for us to the airport for our very early flight. If our flight had been later in the day (after 6am) there is a very convenient bus to the airport nearby that runs frequently (which also runs to the tower).

Basic, but decent enough for the cost. Good location close to the train station

It was a nice hotel but quite noisy and it was also smokey in the hotels corridor. Its not far a way from the leaning tower just around 10-15 min walk. And it was actually a nice area to walk true. the breakfast was excellent and the lady in the reception was friendly and always smiling.

Not the most luxurious hotel but very friendly and helpful staff and great breaky. Our door was very difficult to unlock and we needed the staff to get us in there! Also the shower (we had a shared one) - was tiny but I was happy that it was very clean. This hotel was fit for purpose for us in an easy to find location, close to the train station.

El Torre more than suited our needs for our 3 nights in Pisa. It was very close to both the train and bus station as well as only a 15 min. walk to the Leaning Tower. Breakfast was a nice spread of everything from fresh rolls and cakes to yogurt and cereal. There is also a coffee bar where you can order your favorite coffee based morning pick me up for free. The room was ok. The bed was rock hard and there seemed to only be one communal bathroom per floor, so unless you have a bathroom in your room, expect to wait. The shower in the communal bathroom was also comically small. I am a rather petite woman, 5'2 and 100lbs, and could not wash my hair without hitting my elbows on the shower walls. This aside, the general quality of the hotel allowed me to overlook these things. The other nice thing is that the hotel has several seating areas spread throughout the building with comfortable chairs, tables, wifi, and a tv, so if you really don't like your room, you don't have to spend too much time in it.

We were very pleased with the hotel La Torre. It was a reasonable price, though we accepted a bathroom outside of the room. This worked out well enough because it was almost across the hall and there were not a lot of other people. We enjoyed the small living room like area on the second floor with a TV and area to chat. The staff was friendly and helped us get hot water for our baby as often as needed. The hotel had wireless Internet if you need it. The best part of the hotel it was easy walking from the train station, just about a block. The Leaning Tower is also walkable, about 15 minutes or so. We had a great stay.

Bearable for a one-night stay en route to somewhere else as it is rather cheap and close to the train station. But it is a rather tired building and allergy sufferers may want to take some medication.

Within walking distance to all the sights of Pisa and the train station. was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help me as a solo traveler.

It is great for people traveling by train. People at the front desk where awesome from the moment you arrive till you leave. Free internet service which is a big PLUS for travelers. If you dont want to walk the 15 minutes to pisa the main bus stop is only 1 blk away. It was very clean. hughly recommended.

This is most convenient for those traveling by train. The management was very nice and accommodating. We had internet service for the day we were there and breakfast included.

The lobby and cafe are very modern and nice-looking. The hallways are much the same. The room I stayed in was older, with not much in the way of decoration, and only had the basics. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's a nice place for a night or two. Clean bathrooms. Decent breakfast, good coffee (both free with room). Super close to the train station, and not far from downtown Pisa (it's a small city).

Great location if you want to be near the train station and 15 mins walk from the airport. Hotel was clean, staff very helpful, bathroom a bit small but nice. Good value. Thin walls can hear everything

My travel to Pisa was more of a stopover before I saw Florence. There was a cheap flight from Paris to Pisa through RyanAir so I took advantage of that. Just some FYI if you travel RyanAir be SURE you checkin and print out because it's a 50 euro penalty for not having it during boarding. Also the max limit is 15 kg (as of May 29th 2010) for your check-in luggage. So anyway, I couldnt see Italy without seeing Pisa. Everything closed at 7pm so you might want to get there early. The hotel is basically what you pay for. I've seen smaller rooms on my trips to Asia, but dont expect anything short of a room big enough for a bed. As for the hotel amenities, there was no A/C, and no breakfast included for the basic room. They did however provide an iron, which is for some reason a rarity during my european travels. It was about 1km from the main attraction (ask reception for the map, basically head north across the bridge and you'll get to the leaning tower) Relatively clean for a small room. I'd recommend it if you're just stopping by for a day to see the leaning tower and the cathedral

Do not be deceived by the appearance from the front lobby/reception area. The hotel is a dump. Don't pay for this hotel online, once they have your money, they won't accomodate if you're not satisfied with the room. We got a room with the ceiling and wall covered with black mold, cigarette butt stench and noisy flushing toilette. We tried to ask for another room, but were told with a smart-aleck grin that it was normal and okay. All over the wall in the hallways there are rules about not smoking, but they put ashtrays in every room, and in hallways. Also, by the way, good luck finding a restaurant in Pisa! Our advice is, fly to Pisa, see the tower and leave immediately!

Hotel only 1 block from train station. Staff very friendly and very helpful. The bath looked as if it had been recently remodeled but the room was a little tired looking. It was very clean but the staff did not make the beds nor bring clean towels for the second nights stay. The neighborhood made me uncomfortable during the day, people hanging out and leaning on cars. No one approched or accosted us though. This was on the street beside the hotel and can be avoided going to and from the train station. Air conditioning worked but barely. They offered a free European breakfast. Over all happy with my stay. Most impressed with the helpful desk staff.

Great clean cheap Hotel in a Great location. No aircon in rooms but rooms do have fans and is right next to the main railways station so is idea for people traveling by train. Railway is not too near to be loud. I would use this hotel again.

Nos quedamos una noche en este hotel. Tenía baño compartido y la cisterna del aseo no funcionaba. Por suerte, creo que sólo había dos habitaciones ocupadas- Las toallas más bien parecían trapos de cocina. El desayuno fue muy bueno, autoservicio. Había de todo.

Enkelt men utmärkt hotell för en övernattning - mycket prisvärt och utmärkt läge.

Waren mit zwei Kindern da, Nachtportier freundlich und behilflich, Frühstück italienisch halt, Zimmer im besten Sinne preiswert.

Pænt, rent og komfortabelt hotel et stenkast fra stationen. Betjeningen var venlig, morgenmaden var ok. Eneste minus var fællesbadeværelset, som var trangt og beskidt med håndklæder, der var smidt på gulvet etc.

Lo unico bueno de este hotel es q esta muy cerca de la estacion de trenes de Pisa.En general necesita una renovacion.La habitacion olia a tabaco, las mantas eran de la epoca de mi abuela y el edredon parece q no se habia lavado nunca...estaba todo muy ajado.El acceso bastante complicado ya q hay muchas escaleras.El desayuno muy bueno y la gente q nos atendio fueron muy agradables pero para la proxima me buscaria otro hotel.

Excelente atencion del personal, desayuno de calidad, la habitacion un poco antigua, la mejor ubicacion de Pisa, a una cuadra de la estacion central de trenes a 3 minutos del aeripuerto y muy cerca de la Torre Inclinada

Good locaton, but cold and noisy room.

Zentral gelegen und optimal für Ausflüge. Zwei Minuten neben dem Bahnhof gelegen.

Hotellet er generelt helt ok, med meget fin service fra receptionen, fint værelse, og ok comfort. Beliggenhed 2 min fra stationen, er perfekt, og det var ikke generet af støj. Det der slog os, var den ringe service ved morgenmaden, med en temmelig sur dame, der slet ikke havde øje for kunderne. Måske havde hun travlt, men der var ikke et overflødigt ord, om at brødet var på vej, at det var ok at bestille kaffe osv. Uheldigt, når alt andet ellers var så fint.

Inte ett hotell för en romantisk tripp till Pisa men helt OK om du behöver ett rum för en natt nära till järnvägsstationen med OK frukost och rena rum. Standarden för mer tanken till ett svenskt vandrarhem. Bra läget för en promenad genom gamla stan till lutande tornet (ca 20 minuter), mysig stad med många trevliga små butiker och restauranger.

Aika hirveä paikka. Ei kannata mennä tähän hotelliin. Huoneessa pisuaari,pieni matkatelkkari, yhteiset suihkutilat aika onnettomat, pyyhkeitä ei ollut huoneessa,äänieristys olematon, yhteinen peitto sängyssä joka koottu kahdesta sängystä (jäi yöllä rako väliin).Aamupala ihan ok, mutta ei leikkeleitä tms. Henkilökunta ei puhunut juurikaan muuta kuin italiaa. Sijainti ok.

Bon état général, petit déj inclus dans le prix. Seule fausse note, vieux matelas à ressort pas du tout confortable

L'hotel si trova a pochi passi dalla stazione ferroviaria e permette di raggiungere il centro con una comoda passeggiata di circa 15 minuti. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Le camere sono semplici ma pulite e decorose, con qualche tocco personale. lunga passatoia blu nei corridoi. Davvero bello invece lo spazio dedicato al breakfast: sala moderna, arredata con gusto e colazione a buffet davvero ricca e variata. Ottimo anche il caffè. Sicuramente una buona scelta per chi non vuole spendere molto ed avere garantito un livello di servizio adeguato.

Lågprishotell i bra läge. Standard under normalt. Rent och frächt. Ligger vid stationen. 15 min. promenad till tornet. En natt räcker. Boka med egen toalett. Typisk italiensk frukost (Minimal)

Sorry, trots helt okej renlighet i allmänna utrymmen var det tur att vi bara bodde här en natt. Dyrt och trångt kan det nog sammanfattas. Nära stor väg, cirka 20 minuters gångväg från lutande tornet, i precis anslutning till järnvägsstation kan kanske vara på gott och ont. När flygplats är ju bra om man har gryningsflyg, men riktigt risigt rum och framför allt supersmå rum. Helt hopplöst med små barn. Trevlig personal dock men det hjälper inte med den låga standard och det prisläget hotellet har.

Hotelli oli todella lähellä rautatieasemaa. Myös Kaltevalle tornille pääsi helposti kävellen ostoskatua pitkin, tosin matka oli hieman pidempi. Huone ei ollut luksustasoa, mutta kuitenkin siisti. Hintaan nähden hotelli oli hyvä.

Ett hotell värt sitt pris. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal där de flesta kunde engelska.
