Felt like a suite in a nice hotel only it was 50$.

Hotel PLAKA we stayed in was recently renovated, clean and conviniently located.The staff was friendly and very helpful

Stayed at this hotel a few years ago but it has been refurbished since then and what a difference it has made. The room was very comfortable and sound proof due to the new windows. The breakfast offered was fresh and replenished regularly with a good selection. Will stay again when we visit next year and highly recommend it.

The 7 night stay was more than expected, room on the 8th flor was great, the veiw was beautiful, showed the pathanon etc, food was excellent, staff were more than helpful, very clean rooms, should have stayed longer, Value for money, food market in entrance was great, don't be discouraged by the countries financial difficulties, vist Athens, you will have a great time, will be back for sure.

The Hotel is centrally located to most everything in Athens you'll want to see. It's located in more of a residential area (open air market right outside the door and meat market up the road) and the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, but during the day was fine. It's easy walking distance to a Metro stop and to the Acropolis. The roof top has a great view of the acropolis. The rooms are small, but they were clean and quite. This place isnt fancy by any means, its functional, inexpensive and located well.

10mins walk from Monastiraki, next to the interesting central market and have unblocked view of Acropolis on it's gardens..a little quiet at night as most of the shops there are closed

Only a short walk from a lot of the key attractions and minutes from the metro, the Athens Centet Square was a real find. Very friendly staff execs ally the lovely Olga. The room was more than adequate and exceptional value for money. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced, convenient to 3 metro stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. I would stay there again.

Except for looking out of our window in the morning and seeing the local junkies shooting up in the park opposite, our short stay was quite pleasant.

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside it's great. We got a free bottle of wine on arrival. Our room was fantastic. Great bathroom. Great location for shopping, restaurants & tour buses & metro to the Port. Breaskfast included was great too.

This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of all the main sights. The roof bar was an unexpected bonus with great views, and we were invited to have breakfast early as we were checking out at 6am. Sleep quality was also excellent

This hotel is located in between the Psyrri and Omonia neighbourhoods in the middle of a produce market. The area is ok but I wouldn't walk around on my own at night as I wouldn't feel safe.The hotel itself is really great. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the rooftop has a really nice view of the Acropolis. The location is central enough that you can walk to the main tourist attractions or you can take the subway (5 min walk to the nearest station). The hotel service was good but the only thing I didn't appreciate is when the cleaning lady came into our room despite the do not disturb sign, which is not very professional in my opinion.

Hotel has a great location for viewing the Parthenon. If you stay here be sure to go up on the roof in the evening for a drink and enjoy the view. The neighborhood isn't the greatest, lots of graffiti on the walls, but very active since it is across from the main markets. There is a great greek fast food restaurant on the corner that serves a great Souvlaki at a super price. Hotel is very clean and the staff is superb! Overall a great value.

We enjoyed our stay at the Athens Center Square. The front door of the hotel opens directly onto the local fruit and vegetable market, which made for some interesting exploring. Many of the main sites in Athens are within walking distance (a longer walk for many destinations though) and public transportation is close by. The rooms were comfortable and fine for the two of us, but slightly on the small side. The staff were very helpful and friendly--we were able to grab a quick, basic breakfast when we had an early morning ferry to catch.

The hotel location is central to many significant must see parts of Athens and in the middle of a large market district as well as being a five minute walk to Monastiraki train station which is part of the Metro system and has a direct line to the Airport. The rest is within walking distance to all that you would need to see, eat and drink. A basic breakfast begins at 3am with the full menu coming on from 7 till 10 so my jet lag was quelled as was my insomnia. The rooftop view is magic and although the room seemed smaller than I was used to I soon settled to appreciate it was one small part of a bigger picture. I stayed for nine nights and the staff, especially the beautiful Olga, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. I was so enchanted it felt sad to leave this city which at no time felt unsafe and reminded me how life is lived.

After staying in a business hotel in the city, we moved to spend the weekend in center of Athens. It is within walking distance to "everything", and the quality of the hotel surprised us all in a postive way. The roof terrace was tremmendous, and in summertime it must be a very nice place to start of the social evening! The breakfast was good, the rooms modern and quiet surriondings in the night. The bar is standard, cheap, and employees friendly! Also there is a free WIFI on the room! For a weekend strole in the town, I really want to reccomend this hotel, both for coulpes, friends and even business related stay. I will return to this hotel next time I am visiting Athens!

the location of the hotel is a consideration, there is a market in front of the hotel, which we find a little bit of scary during the night. there is no hair dryer in the room. the breakfast is very good, lots of selections.

After many years of trying I think I've finally found the perfect budget hotel in Athens. There's almost nothing not to like about this one. If you love the real Athens this is a perfect location. I can't think of anything better than walking straight out into the fruit and vegetable market in the morning. A clean modern hotel with excellent service, very clean and comfortable rooms, a good breakfast and free wifi. My room was on the market side, but there was no problem with noise. Minus points were tiny. (There was some slight noise from nearby rooms and I wasn't overwhelmed by the 'Easyjet orange' colour scheme.) Finally, one of the great pluses of this hotel is that I could go all the way from my room to the airport (via the metro from Monastiraki) without once having to pick up my suitcase. And speaking as one of those mythical 'single older women' I can confidently say that there's nothing scary about this area. Robbery is always possible for any age and gender at any time of day, but taking simple and obvious precautions can easily take care of that. Very highly recommended.

Everything was good, nice and neat hotel, cheap price, lovely and helping personnel, rich breakfast, everything You need was near, BEAUTIFUL view to Acropolis from the hotel roof. Metro station was near. We enjoyed our short visit and certainly visit the hotel again.

The hotel staffs were nice and free wi-fi was fast. Also the bathroom was nice, and the wardrobe was super (there was a light in the closet)!!!! Plus, I didn't hear any noise at night or in the morning, even it's close to the central markets. I was very satisfied with the hotel, except the buffet breakfast (bacon tastes like rubber band), and the cereal wasn't edible at all. Btw, the hotel does't have a restaurant/room service for food, the only option you got is Domino's. I know it sounds odd, but the delivery is really fast, no more than 30 mins, and the price is cheap. At first the hotel was hard to find because the location shown on google map was wrong, it was another hotel, not Athens Centre Square. Later I found out they advertised on Kiosks, but it was really hard to see at night. The surrounding neighborhood seems doggy, but I had no problems with walking to hotel at night (2 girls). Metro line 3 (Blue line) from airport to Monstriraki for 8 EUR, then walking to the hotel for about 5-8 minutes. Taking a taxi from the hotel to the airport is about 41EUR.

We took the metro from the airport to the hotel. Very easy. Escalators rather than steps, so easy to take luggage (would be terrible is escalators not running, because the metro is deep in the ground). Then we walked a few blocks to the hotel. Staff very friendly. Room was ready and they let us check in early, so we took a nap before touring the city. It was very interesting visiting the vegetable/fruit market across from the hotel and the meat market (open air) a block away. The vendors were all very friendly and posed for photos. The whole city seemed very friendly!!

Overall we stayed at 7 different hotels in Greece and this was by far the best.The bed was so comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the view of the Acropolis was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful and the bathroom although small had the best shower.There was a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us and it was very welcome as we had just got off a long distance bus. We were unfortunately tied up with one of the strikes so there was no public transport or taxis running when we arrived but I called the hotel earlier in the day and they very kindly arranged a private transfer for us. I would say that is service way above the ordinary. Although it was near the markets it was not noisy and we did not feel unsafe walking at night. Well Done Athens Centre Square.

We stayed at Athens Center Square in August, 2011, and totally enjoyed our stay. The room was pretty and very clean and the hotel has a wonderful rooftop bar that offers an amazing view of Athens and the Acropolis. The location is very good too: 5-minute walk to Monastiraki Metro Station (direct when you come from the airport) and walking distance to all the archeological sites. If you do not want to walk to the attractions, there is also an "hop on hop off" bus stop near the hotel (2-minute walk).

Other reviews have commented on the location of the hotel - we didn't ever feel threatened or vulnerable. The street leading to the hotel is well lit with lots of people around. If you're a light sleeping you might want to ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the fruit and veg market to the front of the hotel is a bit noisy in the morning but not much worse than any city centre hotel. The roof top bar has a great view of the Acropolis and is an ideal place from which to watch sunset. The rooms are clean and although they are compact, they are perfectly sufficient and well designed to make a short break comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when we next visit Athens and would recommend it to friends. It's a great location from which to walk to all major Athens sights.

Clean, modern hotel with a nice bathroom (most bathrooms in Greece left something to be desired). Make sure to ask for a double bed if you don't want two twins pushed together, which is pretty typical for Europe. Cool rooftop patio with a small bar that overlooks the Parthenon. Only complaint was location. It wasn't too far off the metro line but it was on the street with the fruit and veggie market, which made it hard to get your luggage through and it stunk.

Great breakfast, helpful staff, lovely room, handy location. All in all I was very pleased with my choice of this hotel. It definitely exceeded my expectations for a hotel in that price range.

The location is quite conveneince!

Stayed in the hotel before and after we visited the islands. Arrived Athens very early in the morning and the surrounding of the hotel really shocked me. It is located right next to a fruit market (wet market) and when you walked out of the hotel, the stench and the debris on the ground are not very pleasant. Nevertheless, the location is superb and very close to all attractions and train station. The staffs are very helpful and I have to name OLGA who really makes our stay very comfortable. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Would recommend the hotel if you only use it a a place to sleep in the evening.

The neighbourhood is not so good at night as there is rubbish from the Meat, Fruit and Vegetable Market, but don't let it put you off. The hotel is VERY good. Excellent comfort and service levels. Great views from the 8th Floor Roof Bar. Within easy walking distance of Monistiraki and Plaka.

Good : Room is clean. Once you step out of the hotel, you are able to experience the local life because there's a market right in front of the entrance Bad : Need across several streets to reach the hotel if traveling from Monastriki station, it's not very convenient esp with luggages. Some receptionists are not really helpful. Lift, room and toilet are small, esp the toilet is really tiny. Variety of breakfast is limited. View of the room is not fantastic. Comparing with another hotel in similar price range, Athens Center Square is not the most ideal place to stay.

For the low price this was a brilliant hotel 15mins from the sights. Good breakfast. If you stick to the main streets (Athenas) neighborhood good - cut through to Pisiri at night not so good. Staff where good and helpful, although wifi needed enabling everyday (not their fault the system) Recommended

The hotel was very well maintained for its vintage (approximately 1960). It was a pet free and smoke free hotel, as advertised. The night hotel staff was very helpful and cheerful (especially Olga, who seemed genuinely glad to welcome us back each evening). The buffet breakfast was outstanding. They had guest relations staff who greeted each customer two different days out of our eight day stay. They inquired if we needed any assistance and if we were enjoying the our stay. All staff were very professional.

We requested a quiet room and they gave us one in the back, but not up high enough to have to pay extra for a view of the Acropolis. The location was very close in and very walkable. People have left reviews about the neighborhood, but we felt fine. Breakfast was pretty good: cereal, pastries, eggs, beans, coffee and juice. There was going to be a metro and bus strike the day we were leaving and they were great about letting everyone know ahead of time to figure out what to do about transportation. All in all, a great hotel for the price.

Short walking distance to three metro stations, the old town, the akropolis and many venues to go out for having a drink, dining etc. In spite of beeing located very central not noisy. Very clean, new and modern, very friendly staff. Small bar on the rooftop (open) with great view.

Bra, billigt hotell med utsikt över Akropolis från vårt fönster. Nyrenoverat och fräscht med närhet till Monastirakis metro.

Hoewel het bad ontbrak in de hotelbadkamer was het desalniettemin een prima hotel. De locatie is top. Overal dichtbij en makkelijk te vinden vanaf de luchthaven. Personeel super vriendelijk en er werd een heel goed ontbijt geserveerd. Kamers zijn niet gehorig. Op de kamers is een koelkastje en een kluisje aanwezig. Het hotel is een echte aanrader bij een bezoek aan Athene.

Mysigt hotell med bra läge. Från takterassen ser man hela Athen. Nära till akropolis och monastirakis marknad och många souvlaki restauranger i närheten. Nära till tunnelbanan som går ända till flygplatsen. Trevlig personal och god frukost. Något hårda sängar.

Bra hotell med trevlig personal och god service och nära till sevärdheter. Området dock slummigt och känns otryggt. Bakom hotellets väggar dock tryggt och bekvämt.

シンタグマ広場の空港バス発着所からは徒歩15分ほどかかりますが、ホテルから徒歩５分ほどのところに地下鉄の駅があります。地図を頼りに向かったのですが、ホテルが大通りに面していない為、わかりづらいです。部屋は想像していたよりも広く、清潔感もあり、朝食ビッフェ込みでこの料金ならば、かなりコストパフォーマンスは良いと思います。お部屋でゆっくりくつろぐという滞在でなければ、十分です。またフロントのスタッフの対応も良く、メテオラに１泊する間もスーツケースを無料で預かってくれました。もしアテネに再度、泊まることがあれば、また泊まっても良いと思うホテルでした。
