Fabulous,

The hotel is amazing. In the heart of Piazza Novella a few minutes away from anything you look for in Florence. The set-up in the hotel is very nice, the atmosphere revolves around the O of l'rologio, nicely done. Rooms are spacious and crispy clean, breakfast is excellent. Do not hesitate.

Located right on a semi-busy piazza, the location was VERY handy and the best part of the stay. Room was good sized (triple) with a Queen and single for the 7yr.old. Appointed well, everything was clean & in order. Hotel has a bar attached and serves good cocktails, with a limited snack menu. Beautiful lounge areas off the lobby, and the clock/watch theme throughout the hotel was very cool. I can't believe I'm saying this, after swearing that I wouldn't be taking advantage of the "free breakfasts" I've read about all over major Italian cities... I mean, bacon & eggs in Italy? I did stick to fresh mozzarella, various cured meats & tomatoes and no less than 3 cappuccino (hey, I tipped!) daily the 1st few days. BUT admittedly, I DID partake of the toast, scrambled eggs & bacon on the 3 & 4th days. and MAN IT WAS GOOD! Eggs here, like in Spain actually taste like, well eggs! It was a welcome taste after overloading on pasta, Florentine steak, and prosciutto - OK enough about breakfast. Desk was cordial and efficient... call it an expectation but for the $$ I expected to be kind of gushed over! I'll get past it. CONS: Internet was terrible in the room... they need more access points Wrote a DETAILED note (in phrase book Italian) to housekeeping TWICE for extra towels, pillows, and tissue and tipped 10 euro each time... never got 'em. Fool me once shame on you, twice, shame on me. Should've called the desk, but oh well. Restaurant recommendations were to typical "tourist" spots... researched on Yelp! and TA to find some great trattorias. Lighting in the room was DIM... I mean 19th century dim... nice fixtures, just not putting out the kilo-watts.

This is by far the nicest hotel we stayed in Europe. The customer service was incredible and the room conditions were perfect and luxurious. The breakfast was delicious too. We highly recommendt his hotel and the location couldn't be better in the heart of Florence near the train station. Wow!

We only spent one night in this lovely hotel but it couldn't have been nicer, it was perhaps a little modernised for my own taste, but that really is just a question of taste, it was comfortable and spacious and the staff were incredibly helpful without being obsequious. I particularly loved the Mantel clock in the room next to the reception. First class.

Very nice hotel. Downside: very small room, no space to move around the bed!!!, the view was another window from another room. Per total: for the price paid it wasn't a very nice stay. I wouldn't recommend it!!!

We stayed two nights at the L'Orologio, and almost everything was perfect. The check in went smooth - the room was fantastic, very well decorated and nice finish. We had breakfast included, which was great - continental breakfast buffet. Awesome breakfast room overlooking the roof tops of Florence. The only complaint about the hotel - 1) We asked for a recommendation of a non tourist restaurant for our first night stay - the hotel recommended an Osteria about 5 minutes from the hotel. It was unfortunately packed with tourists, and the food was average - so an unfortunate experience. 2) After coming home after dinner and a rather chilly walk (around 2-4C at night) my wife wanted a warm bath. Unfortunately, the water temperature was tepid and not warm enough. The next morning, the water temperature was fine, but then cold later on in the afternoon. We never brought it up with the hotel, it could temperature a pressure issue. Despite those two problems, the hotel is warmly recommended - a great location, with walking distance to most attractions in Florence.

The L'Orologio was overall a good choice, but we left with a slightly bad impression based on annoying extra service fees that added up. To have wine glasses (sans wine) and a corkscrew delivered to our room was a $10 charge, booking tix for any sights was an extra $7/ticket (in addition to the general advanced booking fees), and parking was approx $45 a night. Nothing ridiculous, just all a bit annoying. And, to be fair, internet and bfast were both included, which was nice. Otherwise, the room was well-decorated, despite a somewhat cumbersome bathroom design. The location was very central (you can walk just about anywhere) and the the staff were all very friendly. Overall, worth considering if the price compares well.

I would recommend this hotel even though they charged an unexpected 10 euros for making a reservation for the Uffizi Gallery.

Very well located, 'watch' themed hotel. Large rooms with high ceiling, comfortable beds and great breakfast. Reception staff was helpful. Could walk to most sights.

Nice hotel, very good stay!

Very deserving of its 4 Star Status. Would easily be a 4 Star in the US.

We stayed in Hotel L'Orologio at the end of April 2011 and had been a bit worried about its location, being close to the Santa Maria Novella train station, which is sometimes described as a less desirable area. We need not have worried. Piazza Santa Maria Novella was lovely and lively and within easy walking distance of all the sites. Stepping out of the hotel and looking down the street, you can see the Duomo, which is minutes away, as is the river Arno. There are a few simple and reasonably priced restaurants within yards, so we had no trouble finding somewhere to eat (the hotel does not have a restaurant). The hotel itself was a delight, with plush and stylish furnishings. Everything, from plant pots and towels to dinner services and serviettes, has their playful logo on, but it just feels charming rather than corporate and impersonal. The scented candles in the communal areas with the same scent as their toiletries chime with the warm interior. Our room was quite spacious, with a luxurious marble bathroom suite (rain shower, no bath). We did struggle a bit with the air conditioning, until we worked out what we should have known anyway - that it does not work if you open the windows. (Maybe an information pack in the room would have helped.) I would recommend keeping the windows closed during the night anyway, as Florence seems to be popular with mosquitoes too! Breakfast was good (and with a great view, as it is on the top floor overlooking the Piazza Santa Maria Novella) and the staff worked hard to try to keep everyone happy. However, they were let down by the fact that there were really not enough tables, and not enough staff. People frequently had to wait for a table, or wait for the table to be cleared. On the first morning, while we were waiting for a couple finishing at a table, another couple walked in, straight past us and nicked 'our' table. This hotel has a great location. Our triple room was spacious and had a very luxe feel to it. Breakfast was nice and had a great assortment of choices. The work out room was great, but the sauna was not available due to a maintenance issue for the whole week. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Sweet luxurious rooms close to the train station, sites, and dining options. Bar located in hotel, no restaurant, no problem, really. Staff were very nice and accomodating. Go to Italy off-season if possible. My family and I had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and very tastefully done; the staff are friendly and helpful; the breakfasts are ample; and the location is wonderful. Recommended to anybody!

Best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Italy. A little more than I wanted to pay, and probably more than we needed, but it was great. Very comfortable, overall enjoyable. Pleasing, modern entrance, lobby and bar. We got the room next to the dining area and I thought it would be loud and awful, but it wasn't bad at all. We only heard noise when they moved the tables and it wasn't often, or loud enough to wake me up. Room and bathroom both good size. Windows new and kept all the noise out. Water was always hot. We didn't need a/c or heat, but the controls were on the wall and we ran the fan nights. Breakfast was good. Eggs and bacon in addition to the croissants, pastries, cereal, meats and cheeses. The staff was very helpful and nice. They recommended the best restaurant we went to on our entire trip. The location was great too. Close to the train station, which made walking there easy with luggage, but similarly within comfortable walking distance of all the sights. I read another review that said the Santa Maria Novella Plaza was kind of dirty and rowdy at night with locals. That wasn't our experience. It was very clean when we were there with renovations under way. I don't have anything bad to say about it. Great hotel if you have the money.

This hotel was a lovely location for our short but busy visit to Florence. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the common areas are in top condition with lots of areas to sit, the rooms are spacious, modern, pristine and the bathrooms are excellent! The breakfast room on the 4th floor is full of light and a great view of the Piazza and the food was perfect. We can be picky hotel guests but not at this hotel--it really is a great place and reasonably priced. Only very very minor comment is that the hotel can be a little challenging to locate if you are driving into the area (ok, why bring a car to Florence?).

A fantastic location only a few minutes walking distance from SMN station, the Duomo and the Uffizi. The hotel staff were very friendly and approachable, and we had a gorgeous room (junior suite) with beautiful views of the Duomo and our own private terrace. By far the best hotel we stayed in during our stay in Italy. We will definitely be recommending this place to our families and friends.

I stay in boutique hotels all over the world and Hotel L'Orologio was one of the most amazing, beautiful, and comfortable hotels I've ever seen. There were not many reviews of the hotel, but the pictures and location sold me on the hotel. It is brand-new, in a remodeled building that kept the character but added all the modern conveniences. Unlike the other hotels where I stayed during my trip to Italy, this one has a huge, gorgeous bathroom, plenty of closet space, a comfortable bed and light! Including a little reading light by the bed. The staff was efficient and helpful (if not effusive) and the location could not have been better, right on the square of Santa Maria Novella, and walking distance from the train. Breakfast is in a lovely room overlooking the square and while it wasn't fancy, it was adequate. There are sitting rooms and a nice bar where you can grab a sandwich. I can't recommend this hotel too much for travelers who are seeking the amenities of a boutique hotel in Florence.

フィレンツェ・サンタ・マリア・ノヴェッラ駅近くです。 サンタ・マリア・ノヴェッラ広場にありますが、ちょっと入り口が分かり辛いです。 地図にある場所の角にあるホテルです。 ホテル名はドアに小さく書いてあります。 バスタブ付きのシングルルームでしたが、とても綺麗で風呂も良かったです。 朝食は７時開始なのですが、７時は卵料理が出てません。 しばらくすると、出てくるのが残念でした。 ホテルからドゥオモの屋根がちょっと見えます。 すぐの場所にフィレンツェ唯一のラーメン屋らしい、番気ラーメンがあります。 イタ飯に飽きた頃に重宝します。 WiFiのユーザ、パスワードはフロントに言えば教えてくれます。 価格はちょっと高めなので、ひとり旅ではちょっと勿体ないかも知れません。 でも、良かったですね。

とてもおしゃれで清潔感のあるホテルでした。 家族3人で1部屋で泊まりましたが、ゆったりできる広さで、バスタブもリラックスできました。朝食も卵と野菜と果物が食べられて本当に満足できましたｌ。ｌ 到着も出発もチェックイン、チェックアウトの時間外でしたが、こちらからお願いする前に荷物を預かりましょうと行ってくれて親切でした。 ロケーションは駅からも近く、どこに行くにも便利な場所でしたが、ホテルの看板小さいのとホテル名の下についている番号と住所の番地がちがっていたので、すぐに気つかず、迷ってしまいました。

家族3人で宿泊しました。ロビーには暖炉などがあり 非常におしゃれなホテルでした。ロケーション、朝食も眺めのいい４階のレストランで満足しました。 また、スタッフの対応もスマートで好感がもてました。 ただ、ネットの接続が不安定でした。

Bien localizado. Bonito y limpio. Los cuartos, al menos el que nos toco, estaba muy chico e incomodo, sin vista, hacia calor, pedimos que se bajara el rango del aire acondicionado y lo hicieron, pero de manera insuficiente y de mala gana. El trato es apenas pasable y el servicio, nulo. Sin embargo el hotel es muy bonito y bien localizado, cerca de la plaza Sta. Maria Novella, la estacíon del tren, cerca de la catedral de Sta. Maria de Fiore y de la zona central de Florencia.

Das Hotel war klasse. Wuerde jederzeit wieder dort uebernachten. Man sollte jedoch bei der Anreise mit dem PKW das Navi enfach ignorieren, denn sonst waeren wir ueber den gesperrten Domplatz gefahren und die meisten Einbahnstrassen verkehrt herum !

Hôtel récent (notre GPS ne le référençait pas) et d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

Imøtekommende og hjelpsom betjening. Nydelig, romslig rom og et vidunderlig, kjempestort bad. Meget sentralt beliggende ved den vakre kirken Santa Maria Novella. Gangavstand til alle serverdigheter. Flott frokostsal og fin bar.
