Hotel rooms have problems with air conditioning

This hotel is very quiet. All appears to be new, very clean and well maintained. Well equipped room. Relatively close to underground stations Taborstrasse (closest, U2) and Nestroyplatz (U1) which has exit in the same street as the hotel (Rotensterngasse).

nice and pleasant hotel; nice and pleasant business stay. Hotel is clean, relatively quiet, and the staff was very helpful. I would choose it again for my next business trip to Vienna

Although the hotel is not in the sightseeing places location but it's very near to u-bahn station, just few minutes walk. Room is modern style decoration, good size and clean. Very good to stay for 2 persons

Two days at the hotel complaining about the lack of internet with no response (the computer kiosk in the lobby did not work either, which pointed out to a widespread problem, but nobody cared). Otherwise, good hotel.

Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant and no inconveniences were found at any time. The location is good as it is close to 2 main metro stations. The hotel service was perfect in terms of readiness for check-in and check-out and speedy attention when requested. As an overall, very easy to deal with.

We stayed in Imlauer for 4 nights and the room was exactly matched with what we found from most reviews. The hotel is pretty new, reception desk staffs are helpful and pleasant. The room was well equipped with electric kettle, complimentary coffee and tea. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel is modern and comfortable. It locates in quite a convenient central location. It's about 15 min walk to Stephansplatz and the central tourist area and if you don't want to walk, it is within 5 min walk to Taborstrasse metro station of U2 line. The area is safe and we can walk back to the hotel without much concerns at night. Our package did not include breakfast but there is a nice small resturant serving nice breakfast at reasonable price and McCafe just across the street. We would have no doubt recomnending this hotel to everyone who wishes to viist Vienna.

The location is excellent if you are looking for value for money. Don't bother with the expensive breakfast (not included in the room rate) - just go to one of the many surrounding cafes. We would definitely go there again.

This hotel is located about 2 blocks away from the city center. It's conveniently located with Nestroy subway station nearby. We practically walked to all tourist sites on foot and only took the subway to the Schonbrunn palace. We stayed in a junior suite 637 on the sixth floor. Because of its location, we had to drag our luggage up two flights of stairs. Half of the ceiling of the room has a significant drop where we had to crawl in the double bed. That left us with only half of the room with a regular ceiling where there was a sofa bed opened up already and little space for the 3 of us to move around in the room. The beds and beddings are comfortable and clean. The hotel provided a electric kettle, some teabags, coffee packets, 2 bottles of water each day. There's a small fridge in the room and you can buy some drinks from Billa supermarket and other supermarkets nearby. We will stay here again in our next visit to Vienna, but will definitely ask for a room with regular ceiling throughout the room.

Excellent hotel! Rooms were beautiful and clean. Personnel was very nice and service oriented. Warmly recommend!

1- Rate of the hotel is reasonable comparable to any other hotels in the same level. 2- Location of the hotel hotel is excellent. It's the area where you should be to enjoy sleeping in a quiet and pleastant neighborhood. 3- Neighborhood is really clean, mainly inhabited by specific community which makes the whole area clean, quiet and very elegant. 4- Hotel staff are helpfull and friendly. 5- Internent connection is for free and is good one. It could be faster a bit but it's OK. 6- Breakfast is really good, I'd call it (Non-European Breakfast) as European (Western) are very poor in breakfast. 7- Convenient Car Park House - 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip, in a junior suite. This was comfortable, clean and spacious. The complimantary water bottle was much appreciated. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and the metro is within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. They provide parking for cars in a nearby garage, though this is charged at 18 Euros (sept 2011) per day. Would have been better if I had known about this before booking the hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful as well as friendly. I enjoyed my stay, and would return if I went back to Vienna.

This hotel has a great location. While it's not necessarily right next to all the big tourist spots, the location of the hotel has a great neighborhood feeling and the walk to all the sights from the hotel is great.

The Imlauer is situated in Leopoldstadt a good 15 minute walk from Stephansdom, but very close to the Metro station. Neither the street nor the whole quarter are very attractive, and there are not many restaurants close by. We had rented two rooms which turned out to be on the lowest level with windows facing an interior courtyard and therefore depressingly dark. Modern, dark funiture didn't help to make it any more welcoming. Upon asking, we got one room changed. The rooms and bathrooms were fairly clean, though I found some long dark hair (not ours) in the shower stall twice after the rooms had been cleaned. The front desk staff was ok, neither friendly nor unfriendly. We would look for a different place next time.

We stayed 4 nights, didn't do the breakfast but easily found cheap eats at local groceries or bread stores for much cheaper and all within 2 blocks, it is not on the main road but only 2 blocks away and just off the taborstrauss exit of the purple u2 underground - walking about 3 blocks total and there was a great 'aldi' store there with cheap drink prices you could cool in minibar in room and save lots of money, room was very nice size and bathroom was huge compared with 2 other places we stayed during our trip, I would definately go again, only about 10 min walk to St. Stephens church if you don't buy bus/train or vienna pass - which I would recommend, only drawback was our room was in remodeled part of hotel that is now several buildings connected and so could take elevator to floor but then had several steps up and down to navigate to our room (with suitcases or walking difficulty it could be an issue). Staff spoke English well and were very helpful! The area was safe with plenty of places to eat nearby, close to praterstern and prater park by walking or underground as well, very centrally located without prices of hotels in the 'city center'

My sister and I stayed in this hotel and were really impressed with the room and the service. The front desk staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious and scrupulously clean. It was completely modern with a massive bathroom. We have no complaints whatsoever with this hotel and would love to stay there again. Only minor thing was that our air con seemed to be playing up, we couldn't quite get the room as cool as we would have liked. It is about a 15 - 20 min gentle stroll to St Stephens and there is a supermarket, post office, bakery etc all near by. There is also free wi-fi at the hotel and a computer with internet access.

Located far from the touristic area, but close to business areas. Our room was small and uncomfortable. The restaurant was full on our first night and closed on the second. No "Do Not Disturb" sign and no trace of a room service menu or any room service possibility. No taxis in the immediate vicinity. Staff is nice and courteous and rooms are clean and modern, but I don't see it as a 4-star hotel.

4 of us stayed at this hotel and couldn't fault it at all. The rooms were modern and trendy with plenty of storage. The bathrooms were very modern with a great shower. The beds were comfy although a little narrow as we had twin beds! Location wise was fine- about a 10 minute walk to the centre although we discovered the metro on our last day which was just around the corner! Although there are very few places to go to eat around the hotel so you had to walk in to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Venice. Good value for money!

Hotel was close to where I needed to be and I would recommend to sightseers, having travelled to Vienna several times before for pleasure and business. I was upset when I arrived because I was allocated a room with a sofa bed which is what I would not expect for a 4 star hotel and had trouble changing my room when I complained - took about 40mins as they said they were fully booked and tried to buy me off with a complimentary breakfast. Once I got a proper bed I was happy and the hotel was fine; good location and comfortable and clean accomodation.

Good location close to underground and walking distance to the center of the town.Clean. Free internet. I booked a single room and had nothing to do with the pictures they show on the website. Very small sofa bed something that you would never see in 4 star hotels. Reception staff wasn't very polite. Overall not great value for money.

Imlauer is a nice hotel in a great location. It is in a quiet neighbourhood which felt wuite safe at night and which was not too noisy. it is 5 mins walk to the U bahn, 15 mins walk to the city centre and there is a direct S bahn train to the airport within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was recently remodeled (though the shower head was too heavy for its holder which meant it often sprayed water all over the bathroom). Beds were very comfortable. If you are from the states - just a warning the hotel will seem small and the staff may not appear to be overly friendly also a double bed is 2 single beds pushed together. These characteristics are pretty typical of hotels in city centres around Europe. Don't expect the same level of service as you would get in the US. That said this Imlauer is great value for money and was a very pleasant stay!

We arrived after 10pm on a Sunday night (after a 5hr train ride with no food) and ABSOLUTELY nothing within a quick walk was open for a late night meal/snack including the hotel restaurant/room service (with the exception of 1 dirty/dingy neighbourhood bar that I wouldn't recommend to an enemy). The hotel is in a neighbourhood that is totally abandoned at night though it felt safe. However, within a 10-15 minute walk the scenery changes completely and you are in an area alive with nightlife. Many members of the hotel staff were snarky and condescending (as are most Viennese it seems). The hotel appears to have 2 buildings and the reception desk is in the older half. Do not let your first impression of the tacky and dusty reception area throw you off; the rooms are great and modern. Hopefully they will get around the refurbishing this area to be on par with the rooms.

Good hotel, location is ok, around 15 minutes to the city centre, small but clean room, nice bathroom. Did not have a food in the hotel. Overall is good

For the price, this hotel was a great find. The room was all you expected from a European 4-star hotel. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, but filling indeed. The hotel is about 10 min walk to the nearest Metro station and only a couple of stops away from downtown. The hotel is tucked away in a residential area but I felt safe walking through the neighborhood at night. Overall, it was a great hotel for me.

The hotel is a lovely four star, recently refurbished. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. No complaints aside from a rather rude receptionist - thankfully we only encountered him once! The underground and tram stops nearby make it easy to head 'downtown'. All in all, excellent value for money and highly recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Imlauer Nestroy Wien for 3 nights in early October. The hotel and room were very clean. The area was quiet and seemed quite safe. It is near the Praterstern train station, Prater park, and not too far from all the sights. The hotel staff was competent and eager to fulfill any request. They spoke excellent English. We stayed in a double room, no smoking, king size bed. Very comfortable, except the comforter was a bit too warm. We had a coffee/tea maker in the room. All room amenities were more than adequate.

Comfortable stay for a visit to Vienna sites reasonably accessible by foot and public transport.

Very helpful and courteous front desk staff. Beautiful and spacious rooms--even by American standards. Wonderful air conditioning when we were there in a rather warm July. Food rather expensive, but many places to eat nearby. Close to transit stop--within a couple of blocks. The only potential negative is that it is located off the beaten path and could be potentially difficult to locate. However, our GPS was wonderful and took us directly they down narrow one lane and divergent streets. This is DEFINATELY a place we would book when we return to Vienna!

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Rooms were new and very clean. Easy access to the city transportation.

Expensive parking, tiny business center, but overall good value.

Frukosten var väl dyr, speciellt för den gäst som är vegan och inte äter så mycket.

Wir buchten 3 Uebernachtungen in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war gross, hell, sauber und speziell das Badezimmer auch sehr sauber und mordern eingerichtet. Auch die Idee mit dem täglich inbegriffenen Mineralwasser war super. Die Dachterasse war genial. (Da es während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr warm war, wäre ein Sonnenschirm noch von Vorteil gewesen) Die Lage des Hotels, nur 5 Minuten bis zur nächsten Ubahnstation war ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Verabschiedung leider nicht so. ( Es war nicht dieselbe Person) Kein Dankeschön oder auf Wiedersehen ihrerseits. Das fanden wir ein wenig schade. Ich würde das Hotel jeder Zeit weiter empfehlen!! :-) Perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in einer Grossstadt!

Godt hotel tæt på centrum. Eneste mangel for mig var at sauna/fittness rum var lukket pga. renovering og at de ikke som angivet havde en lufthavnsbus.

Das Hotel ist neu, die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, nur wenige Meter vom Donaukanal und dem Stephansdom entfernt (zu Fuß in 10-15 in erreichbar). Das einzige Manko ist offenbar eine Unterbesetzung des Personals, da abends kein Rezeptionist zu finden war und jener aber für das Öffnen der Parkgarage zuständig ist. Schließlich fanden wir heraus, dass der Barkeeper auch gleichzeitig der Rezeptionist ist.

Grandioses Hotel, alles war super. Ist wirklich weiterzuempfehlen. Super Essen, tolle moderne Zimmer, gute Lage, sehr freundliches Personal..

料金の割引率が良かったので、このホテルに宿泊をしました。 ホテルの立地場所は静かで、基本的なホテルの条件はなんとか満たしていましたが、観光の中心のシュテファン大聖堂の周辺に行くには、徒歩で行くには遠いので、数ブロックはなれた地下鉄まで行かなくてはいけなくて、観光目的で利用するにはどうかなと思いました。 それから、掛け布団が一枚しかなくて寒かったので、もう一枚持ってきてくれるようにお願いしたのですが、結局持ってきてもらえませんでした。率直に言って、チェック・インやチェック・アウトの時などのフロントの対応もお世辞にも好印象ではありませんでした。 このホテルの二倍の料金を払ってでも、もっと観光に便利な場所で、接客の良いホテルにすれば良かったと残念に思っています。
