This hotel is beautiful and well maintained! We loved it. The staff aren't super friendly, but our overall impression of the hotel was great! We will definitely go back.

The staff were very helpful. Parking was easy (although it is narrow but our friends with large cars fitted in fine) The gym is very small. Overall fantastic stay. (watch your handbag - we had a friend who's bag was stolen from the bar - a stranger just strolled in - not the hotel's fault but just a word of warning)

Excellent location for major attractions and local restaurants. Helpful staff and our deluxe room was very comfortable, with a great bathroom and seperate shower. No hotel restaurant, but breakfast was delicious and served with efficiiency in an attractive environment. Challenging car park if you drive anything larger than a mini!

The room that we got was not the one that they picture on the website. It was very plain, not decorated or unique in any way, we could have been at a Holiday Inn. The hotel is very Grand when you walk into the lobby but the grandness ended there for us. I suspect because we got a special price online they gave us an older room. However the room was clean, quiet and comfortable.The location is great, right next to the main square and they provide parking in an underground lot. We did not eat there. There is no bell boy for help with luggage.

FANTASTIC HOTEL. Just got back from Brugge. Great hotel, great location. Modern, updated rooms. Superb water pressure. Definitely would recommend this place. Have fun.

The hotel staff can come off as a bit curt, but the stay was quite terrrific. The hotel is beautifully detailed. The many lounges are spectaculaly comfortable. The location is excellent. The breakfast while bountiful is a bit pedestrian and you wonder why they haven't converted the wonderful lounge rooms to a charmign breakfast setting versus a subgrade ballroom type setting (stull inarguably quality). Overall it gets at least 4.5 stars and possibly five.

We spent two nights in this delightful hotel which is just round the corner from the main Markt square in Bruges the centre for a great variety of restaurants and cultural events and the Wednesday morning outdoor market. The staff were helpful and courteous and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The car park cunningly located underground via a small lift was a tad expensive but a welcome convenience in a city where you don't need or want to drive. The wellness centre was definitely worth packing a suimsuit and trainers for. Not huge and no pool but very relaxing venue with good sauna and steam rooms in addition to a few well chosen pieces of fitness equipment.

Went here for a relaxing weekend and got exactly that. A beautifully restrained and calm hotel, with comfortable, luxurious lounge areas, impeccable service and convenient location. Will definitely be back.

We picked the Grand Hotel Casselbergh based on the reviews and I have to say, we were not disappointed. The hotel is almost next door to the old town hall and no more than a couple of minutes walk from the main square. Bruges isn't a very big place anyway and you can get to anything on foot but being so close to many great sites, restaurants and bars just makes it perfect - particularly as it was -11 C when we went. We got to Bruges quite late (23:30) and couldn’t find a taxi so we decided to walk to the hotel. It’s only 1KM from the station and took us about 20minutes to walk (including getting a little lost). The hotel itself appears to have been recently renovated. It has two halves, an old part and a new part. We stayed in the old part and I'm pleased we did. The building has massive oak beams that support the roof of the hotel and they poke out of the walls on their way up. The only thing that stopped me giving the hotel 10 out of 10 was that our room was a little bit on the small side and, although the bathroom was of a very high standard, the shower was attached to the bath and there was no way to hang it. Not a major issue but I'm 6' 2" and I quite like a nice shower to wake up to rather than crouching in a bath. One other point that the hotel deserves credit for is the breakfast. I have to admit, it's so rare that breakfast is included that I assumed it wasn't included. But we were politely told about it when we checked in and they put on an excellent s

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend and on arrival we were very impressed with the hotel, we stayed in an executive room on the second floor in the old part of the hotel. Our friends had a room in the newly refirbished part, which was also lovely but didnt have that traditional Bruges charm that our room had. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The bathroom was great - a large tub, and separate power shower. The mini bar is stocked every day and was very reasonable prices. We spent an evening by the fire in the hotel bar as the drink prices were better than some pubs. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the main square and the belfry - which was unfortunately closed for refurbushment until March '12. On check in, there was a young lady at reception who was very helpful and happy to answer any questions we had. On the Saturday night however, there was a young man there who was very rude. We asked him if he could give us the number for a restaurant we wanted to book, and after responding rudely he gave us the wrong one. We then asked him to book us a taxi, which he said he would do, and then forgot to do it so we waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes and ended up flagging one down any way. Bruges is a lovely little town and I would recommend it to any one. Park Restaurant was lovely, and the youth hostel opposite the hotel was great for a cheap beer. .

We were well impressed with the hotel, the rooms were fantastic, service very good and the location was literally just around the corner from the main square. I have no negitives abouts the hotel at all!

Grand Hotel Casselbergh in Bruges, was truly a wonderful hotel for a weekend stay. It was close to everywhere we wanted to go, with many places to eat. We stayed at christmas time, and Bruges was a magical place to visit. We would choose this hotel again, hopefully soon!!

The Grand Hotel Casselbergh more than lives up to its luxury billing. The public areas, especially the bar and spa area, are all sumptuously decorated and yet the atmosphere throughout is quite relaxed and laid-back. The bedrooms are furnished in similarly grand style; the bed may actually be the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. They put on a decent spread at breakfast and the staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The location is pretty unbeatable too, just a short walk away from the main square and the most picturesque stretches of canals. A highly recommended destination.

This large hotel hotel is very well placed for all the main attractions and plenty of restaurants. The building is attractive and the public areas very stylish, guest lounges have open fires and comfortable seating and the service in the bar is excellent. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with good quality bed linen and furnishings. The attention to detail was evident in the bathroom which was spotless, had a useful selection of good quality toiletries and a very efficient and large shower in addition to a good sized bath. Despite the hotel being busy service was very attentive with very helpful local information being given; the reception area was free from the clutter of local business advertising. Checking in and out was efficient. There was a good selection of food to suit all tastes at breakfast where service and cleanliness could not be faulted. Car parking was not cheap but it was secure, being able to leave our car in the hotel garage until 3.00pm on our day of departure was very helpful. Bruges is a picturesque city at any time but particularly so just before Christmas; the ice rink surrounded by the Christmas market in the town square was lovely after dark and felt very safe. The hotel was very good value for money and we look forward to staying there in the future.

Everything about this hotel is excellent

Enjoyed my stay here with my girlfriend. Reasonably good rates, close to the centre and full of amenities such as a spa. Only real negatives were the beds, which were a little uncomfortable (seemingly two singles joined together), together with the fact there is no restaurant in the hotel. Would highly recommend nonetheless

My daughter and I stayed for just 1 night in December, so that we could see the fabulous Christmas Market. We loved the hotel, and would definitely stay again. The hotel is in an excellent position for seeing shops and eating out. Our only very slight concern was the car park underneath the hotel, in which the parking spaces are very tight!

the only word i could use to describe this hotel would be AMAZING. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very very welcome, the hotel itself is Gorgeous, and very VERY Luxurious, located less than a minutes walk for the main square in the center of Bruges, but yet still very quiet of a night time. Our room was stunning, and provided the perfect base for our holiday, i seriously cannot believe this hotel was only 4star, i myself would rate it as 6star if i could. If we ever return to bruges (which im sure we will), we would Definatly, no question about it, stay in the Grand Hotel Casselbergh again, its Fabulous.

Took a quick weekend break and were spoilt in this lovely hotel. Parking was unusual and you needed to know about entrance & lift - not mentioned on the website. We had to pay 20Eu per day but the hotel did manage to charge us twice as they put the costs on our friends' account as well as ours - we were in one car! Good breakfast lovely ambiance in hotel and very handy for town centre sightseeing

Clean rooms, but very small. There is a very nice lounge area where they serve drinks in the late afternoon and evening (no food, but there are some snacks). No other memorable amenities. Location is good, but most in the Bruges center are. Everything meats expectations, but does not necessarily exceed. If the price is right, then go for it.

The hotel was simply excellent. The staff were friendly, polite, very professional and offered a level of service you wish you could expect around the world, but very rarely receive. I feel it is impossible to get a better location, being two minutes walk from Burg. Canal facing rooms offer a gorgeous view of The Church of Our Lady, which really adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and is worth the added cost. 10 out of 10. Beautiful hotel in a truely stunning city.

This was our first trip to Bruges and we wanted to spend a bit more on the hotel to make it more special. We were not disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the main squares (just off of Burg), yet it is just far away enough to be away from most of the tourists. Our first impression of the hotel was impressive. The entrance hall and reception area were very grand, with large chandeliers hanging from the tall ceilings. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, an executive, was luxuriously decorated, and had one of the largest beds that I had ever seen! The bathroom was also large and clean. Although only staying at the hotel for one night we did briefly make use of the Wellness facilities (sauna and steam room) located in the spectacular basement with vaulted ceilings - clothes appeared to be optional. Breakfast was fantastic. A wide variety of items were on offer, and everything was of a high standard. It set us up for a long day of sightseeing in the cold November weather. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Bruge.

We chose this hotel based on the very positive reviews we read here..... and we were not dissapointed! A beautiful room (I recommend the upgrade to Executive rooms),a fantastic bathroom, one of the most confortable beds I have slept in for ages,....a great buffet breakfast, all of that in a really special place like Brugges. Just the perfect romantic week-end.... Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely city and an equally lovely hotel!

My wife and I were very pleased with this old, charming, but modern hotel. A great compliment to the beautiful city of Brugge. Would stay there again if we return.

My wife and I had a fantastic romantic few days in Bruges and the Casselburgh certainly helped. With a great bar and lovely clean rooms all included within a great location, we couldn't have asked for better. Dag!

Fabulous hotel only dissapointment was bar shutting at 11pm .

This was the PERFECT hotel from which to explore Bruges. Located in a lovely former aristocratic mansion, the accoutrements were splendid and the hotel itself oozed luxury. The breakfast spread was amazing, too. The location is only about 100meters from one of the main squares, and an easy 3 minute walk to the main square with the famous Belfry. On a European trip that has involved accommodations in four different hotels (in four different cities), this was by far the best.

The hotel is centrally located and close to all major attractions.

Excellent quality hotel in the centre of Brugge. Most comfortable bed and pillows. Nice breakfast. Staff very good. Hotel quite new top quality fittings and decor. Only drawback is that the car park at the side has a very tight entrance & once in you have to drive into a lift to be taken underground. We used the city car park 200 yards further down the road which is easy to get into & has overnight security.

This is the second time I have used this hotel and I can thoroughly recommend it for a short or long stay in Bruges.

we stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is very well situated for all the sites and the main Markt Square and the canal. The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with maps and advice of where to go to eat etc. the breakfast at the hotel was also very good. We didn't use the sauna etc. as too busy. The only downside was the size of the room, we had a standard room and was fairly small, but then not really in it much. Would definately go back and stay here again.

This is indeed a grand hotel with a gracious decor and splendid breakfast buffet. Tthe location is central but quiet and I appreciated the comfort after long days of walking and taking in the sights. The staff was professional but could have been friendlier.

We loved the hotel and the location was amazing! The room was incredible and the hotel common areas made you feel very comfortable. Staff was very helpful and provided great service.

Great hotel. Looks and feels newly refurbished. Lovely tall ceilings, quite plush and opulent feeling. Bathroom was a good quality too. Parking is very good, you have a car lift to take you downstairs rather than having to drive through twisty narrow pathways. It's a really good point to note if you are nervous of damaging your car. Great location too. One block from the main square to it's close to everything but quiet and secluded at the same time. The included breakfast was EXCELLENT. There was a huge collection of hot and cold food, juices, breads, fruit etc. Was very pleasantly surprised. All in all, this is an excellent value and good quality hotel that I would 100% recommend.
