AlmaSevilla - Hotel Palacio de Villapanés - إشبيلية

A nice hotel with good service. The junior suites where nice. The rooms where ok, but not really worth the money.

Great hotel. Wonderful bed - you simply fall asleep and dont want to wake up. Food is excellent and staff too. Value for money - especially if you travel during the winter, off peak months. Now the bad points: my room had no heating and as it was cold the staff had to get me a heater. But given all the pluses I did not mind the trouble. Also my room did not have a desk so it was difficult to do work. As I came on business this was important to me - for vacationers this may not be a big deal. However, I would definitely stay here and bring my family also next time I come. Definitely a world class hotel with out all the chi-chi stuffiness of the Colon or Alfonso XIII

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and there was a free mini bar. The staff made it a 5 star experience as they were all so friendly and helpful. Only thing that was odd was there was nowhere to hang our towels! But they solved that by replacing them regularly. Great stay for those who want to stay somewhere special and modern

I recently stayed at the AlmaSevilla - Hotel Palacio de Villapanes on my honeymoon trip to Spain. This was our favorite hotel on our trip. The location was good, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and in great condition. There was one night where our bathroom acquired a sewer like smell, but unfortunately this is fairly common in old cities in Europe, so I can't exactly blame that all on the hotel. The open air design of the building itself gave the property a special charm that was very unique and reflective of the city it was located in. One pleasant surprise was that the mini bar is included in the price of the room, so knock yourself out. Also, there is valet onsite parking, and free internet access.

Hotel Palacio de Villapanes was amazing! The staff were friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. Not only is the hotel itself absolutely stunning, but the rooms and atmosphere were cozy, contemporary, unique and tasteful with a palace feel all at the same time. The staff were as pleasant as the rooms and accommodations. When we asked for local recommendations they did not give us big touristy spots. Their directions, recommendations and attitudes were lovely. Every time we came or left there was a smile on their face and as helpful as they could be. Every night around 9pm they deliver cookies and to see if you need anything. Every time we left the room we came home to a clean and fresh bed and trash cans. They also helped us check in a night early and leave our car outside for the hour we needed to get settled in our room. Switched our luggage to our new room the next day with no problem. By far my favorite hotel I've stayed at in Europe and I've stayed at a few. It is about a 10 minute walk outside of the city center, but it is not hard to get to and from as long as you have a good map. The streets of Sevilla can be confusing, but it's worth the 10 minutes. I have no question that you will not be disappointed in this hotel. Gorgeous, friendly, boutiquey and comfortable beds!

Wonderful ambiance, well appointed rooms, great service. Highly recoomended.

This was supposed to be in top 25 hotels in Europe. Hotel was fine but location was extremely poor. We needed to ask several people for directions and no one knew where the street was, I would not recommend this hotel. Nice, but way overpriced.

The hotel is well-located just a short walk from the major sights of Seville, as well as convenient to the train station, making day trips accessible. The hotel is a former palace, and has been renovated and updated with a wonderful eye to both creating comfort and preserving the beauty of the original building. The public spaces are lovely, and the rooms are modern and very comfortable and luxurious. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming and accommodating. An extra bonus i the steamy heat of the summer is the small plunge pool on the rooftop spa.

We Loved this hotel! In a beautifully restored palace, out room floor plan was functional and lovely with high quality finishes, private terraces, terrific shower and cold air conditioning. Most of all the service staff is charming, extremely helpful and knowledgeable and willing to be of service 24 hours a day. The neighborhood is a bit out of the way-- down a maze of narrow streets, but it was nice to be away from the tourist traps and see a bit more of Sevilla. Our experience was so great we changed our plans to an Alma hotel in Barcelona.

The hotel is a converted palace, and the quality touches throughout the hotel make this a wonderful place to stay. The staff was probably the friendliest we've ever encountered, and the double superior room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Not much street appeal, but once you enter the courtyard you can't help but be impressed. The breakfast buffet was good, but a little sparse - and expensive.

We enjoyed our stay at the AlmaSevilla hotel. It was beautiful and very relaxing.

Stayed for ten nights in this great hotel. Wonderful quiet location in Seville within easy walking distance to everything. Brilliant friendly staff who really looked after you. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings.

We stayed here three nights and loved the hotel, we had a 3rd floor room that had a skylight and a wonderful bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, the food was great; we enjoyed our stay immensely. I suggest drinks and tapas in the beautiful courtyard (try the trouffles - they were awesome). Finally, the staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaints were that the parking was very expensive (30 euors a night) and the hotel was a bit hard to find.

This is a delightful recently converted palacio in a good part of town within walking distance of most of the old town sights of Seville. The staff are very friendly and helpful and clearly take great pride in the place. Our room faced on to the central courtyard and was most comfortable. It made a very special base for our stay in the city and we were always very happy to return there after a day's sightseeing.

What an amazing hotel. Great, helpful, friendly staff, very quiet, pampering and wonderful. We will definitely stay here and no where else when we visit Sevilla again!

Great hotel -- only minus is the location. It is not in the center of everything, so you need to either walk or get a cab.

absolutely loved this hotel -- the staff was amazing & our room was awesome! housekeeping cleaned and straightened our room twice/day and everything was always immaculate. the staff was always willing to help us plan our outings and make recommendations. great location down a quiet street but within a 5-10 minute walk to the Santa Cruz neighborhood with shops/dining options.

Simply perfect in every way.

The hotel is on the outer boundary of the Santa Cruz historical district -- a bit of a walk, and not in the heart of the tourist district -- but a pleasant walk, and a quiet alternative to tourist-clogged streets. The setting is gorgeous, with courtyards, indoor lounging areas, even a small library -- which makes the hotel a destination in its own right. Service was wonderful, and the dining room and room service were not only delicious, but reasonably priced. My only complaint is about the absence of a desk in our room for those of us who had to do a little work while on holiday.

The Alma Sevilla is a beautiful hotel built round a large courtyard, which is furnished with comfortable outdoor sofas and chairs. The building is old, but the decor is modern. Our room was spacious and well equipt. Our bathroom was large and had a multi jet shower, Service was friendly and excellent. Staying at the hotel was a luxury experience.

It was clear on entering the hotel that it was was maintained and there was an exceptionally high level of service. The hotel's interior design and decor is absolutely beautiful and fitting to the historical building. I will definitely be staying at this hotel on my regular visits to Sevilla. BTW, the location is perfect and close to everything.

Beuatiful hotel, nice staff, short walks to most sites but the room was another story. We arrived after midnight after flight delays and the hotel staff got us right into our room as we were exhausted. On waking we found that we had been placed in a room that is sort of an afterthought. It resided off the side of the check in desk tucked into a basement area. IF you want natural light you have to open the drapes to the street outside and then only a basement style window at that. The hotel had many other rooms available (accroding to staff) but this one was a crypt. we were only there for 2 nights but we felt obligated to stay away from outr rooma s much as possible as it was so dark and tucked away. the rest of the propert rooms looked like they would be nice. In summary: The good. 1. Nice staff. 2. BEAUTIFUL property 3. Good location 4. Free minibar (really nice plus to ahve a cold beer or soda in the fridge after a day of sight seeing) The bad. 1. Dark, crypt like room 2. Expensive breakfast (we did not partake after seeing "buffet")

I LOVED this hotel; it is probably the best hotel at which I've ever stayed . It's a recently renovated palace with beautiful courtyards, fantastic top-of-the-line fixtures (stand-alone bath tub, fancy shower heads from all directions, black granite, etc.), high-end designer toiletries (Bulgari!), an extremely comfortable bed, and great/friendly customer service. It's such a great hotel that we took time away from sight-seeing in Seville to enjoy the hotel more. HIGHLY recommend staying here. (For completeness of review, I have to mention that there is one (small) downside of the Hotel Villapanes -- it's a wee bit far from the main Catedral area in Seville... but this hotel is SO great that it more than makes up for the slightly inconvenient location)

The hotel, a renovated palace, in a quiet street in the old city, opened in October 2009. It is terrific; quiet, beautiful, comfortable, welcoming. The bedroom was great. The only negative was that the dining rooms are in the basement, and though beautifully lit, have no windows.The food was very good. I recommend it 100%

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel wurde durch das freundliche, hilfsbereite und aufmerksame Personal von Beginn weg sehr angenehm und erholsam. Die Anreise zum Hotel war etwas nervig, da nirgends ein Hinweis oder eine Beschilderung wie bei anderen Hotels in Sevilla zu finden war. Im Labyrinth der Einbahnsträsschen Sevillas verliert man sich leicht. Getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt, da die Terrasse während des gesamten Aufenthalts von 3 Tagen geschlossen war. Weshalb? Aufs teure Frühstück verzichteten wir angesichts der späten Nachtessen in Sevilla gerne.

Magnifique hotel situé dans un palais superbement rénové. Parfait mélange entre le palais ancien et le choix du mobilier intérieur contemporain (que des grandes marques du design italien...). Les lits sont très confortables, salles de bains très design (douche multi-jets, douche de tête, etc...). Situé légèrement à l'écart de centre (10-15 minutes à pieds). Superbe hotel, à recommander...

Äusserst luxuriöses Boutiquehotel mitten in der Stadt. Gediegenes Zimmer mit top Ausstattung und angenehmer Atmosphäre. Eine abgeschottete Welt im Stadtchaos. Die Bedienung beim Abendessen war zwar etwas unbeholfen und machte viele Fehler (z.b. bestellten Wein nicht gebracht). Morgenessen auf hohem Niveau aber kleine Auswahl.

Abbiamo avuto, all'arrivo dall'areoporto con il bus, qualche difficoltà a trovare subito la via e l'albergo (dato che non volevamo uscare il taxi). Ma quando siamo arrivati....abbiamo capito che tutto era bello! La camera, le parti comuni, il patio... Siamo andati diverse volte al ristorante: delizioso l'ambiente, affabile e simpatico il cuoco italiano, pugliese. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo di tutto l'hotel è veramente da sottolineare. Un po' da migliorare la zona saune: noi del nord forse siamo abituati a trovare di tutto e di più nelle nostre strutture....ma qualche sedia relax in più e alcune bottiglie d'acqua (tisana forse è troppo?) si potrebbero mettere. Per il resto : MAGNIFICA VACANZA! Da consigliare. Il centro è raggiungibile a piedi con una passeggiata. La stazione dei treni è vicina e noi un giorno abbiamo fatto anche una visita a Cordoba, raggiungibile con il treno superveloce in soli 40 minuti, in totale comfort.

Bellissimo hotel,in zona molto tranquilla. Staff gentilissimo,camere spaziose ,design moderno e minibar gratuito. Posizione abbastanza centrale: circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla cattedrale.Soggiornare in questo hotel e' stata una bella esperienza.
