Broomhall Castle - الوا

This hotel photographs really well. This is important because you will look at the pictures and think how nice it looks, now nice the rooms look, how good the restaurant/bar looks. When you arrive, the whole place looks really good but you start to see what isn't included in pictures and see how the pictures only capture a narrow window on this hotel. There are a lot of rundown areas and areas were management obviously didn't go the extra mile to keep the castle image going. Although a very affordable way to stay in a castle there were many things missing from our experience to make it seem like a castle experience. The room was nice but very few comforts were provided - only one towel in the bathroom, no iron, no hairdryer, and sparse tea tray. The hotel staff were very nice but obviously short staffed. We had to go searching for them several times and waited quite a while for staff to seat us at the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was okay but overpriced for the quality of food we received. We paid less and received significantly better experiences at other most every other place we stayed in Scotland. If you really want an affordable night in a castle just for the novelty of saying you stayed in a castle this is a good choice however if you want a really good hotel experience I would keep looking for another place.

Friendly, warm and great service. Standard of food excellent. My room was a great size with good bathroom.

Lits larges et confortables, hauteurs sous plafond magnifiques, petit déjeuner un peu succinct.

Etwas außerhalb von Stirling gelegen, nur eine gute halbe Stunde zum Flughafen Edinburgh begeistert das Hotel mit toller Fassade und modernen, sehr geschmackvollen, sauberen Zimmern. Die Atmosphäre ist leger, Restaurant und Bar mit Möbeln und Teppichen versehen, die mehr alt als schön sind. Das Personal sehr freundlich aber eher kumpelhaft. Für jemanden, der eine nette Atmosphäre sucht und nicht den Butler eines Schloßhotels sucht, eine absolute Empfehlung.
