Residenza Canali ai Coronari - روما

This hotel is truly an authentic Rome experience. This was a first for us, as we usually stay with the chain hotels. We travel quite a bit and this was our second time to Rome. It was last minute and I sent an email the day before requesting to be picked up at FCO. They quickly responded and had a driver pick us up. 50e each way and just added it to the hotel stay, well worth it. We stayed in room 42 with a roof top terrace.The room was small but very comfortable. This used to be a private home and is now a 10 room hotel. It was clean and had all the amenities of the lager chains. In room wifi and breakfast was included.They offer you a cappuccino or a coffee every time you pass through the lobby. They did not have any to go cups though, that would be one suggestion to them. It is very quaint and makes you feel like you belong in the neighborhood. There is no elevator (lift) but, there is only 4 floors so not bad. It is centrally located to everything 1 min to piazza navona, 5 min pantheon, 10 min trevi fountain, and about 15 min to the Vatican. I would highly reccomend the Residenza Canali for a true Roman experience. One word of caution stay away from the Red hop on hop off bus, go with the Roma Christina as a great way to get around Rome.

After finding the hotel which was in a side street one block back from the main road and encountering a flights of steps at the entrance, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Carried our bags to our room and to the door when we left. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The facade hides the high standard of the rooms inside. Easy walking distance to Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and very close to Piazza Novona with its many restaurants. Bus stop around the corner to the station. Would be happy to highly recommend.

While staying at a variety of very nice hotels throughout Italy, my last couple days were spent in Rome before flying back to the states. I have to say, beside the slightly outdated decor, the Residenza Canali ai Coronari was wonderful. We had room number 42 which offered plenty of space in both the room and bathroom with the best part being the private quite and relaxing terrace. This terrace was the perfect escape after a great day of site seeing around Rome's craziness. The second best part is the hotel's location, just a few minutes outside the hotel's front door are some of Rome's best sites and some great food. We even schedule a driver for a very early flight. The staff even had coffee ready at 5am and knew the driver by personally. I would recommend this to friends and family looking for a place to stay in Rome.

Hotellet er meget lille men hyggeligt. Det ligger i en lille sidegade til en næsten-gågade. Der kører en enkelt bil eller scooter engang imellem, men det er primært fodgængere. Der er masser af restauranter i nærheden og Piazza Navone ligger kun 5 min. derfra. Værelset var lille men komfortabelt, badeværelset godt og sengen super god. Personalet er venligt og meget imødekommende. Morgenmaden er udmærket. Vi havde alt-i-alt et virkelig behageligt og dejligt ophold over 4 nætter.

Residenza Canali ai Coronari is perfectly located in the heart of Romes attractions. Nice small hotel with a nice staff. Good breakfast.
