Hotel Portobelo - غوادالاخارا

Exceptionally clean hotel with updated facilities. Would definitively recommend with one reservation - I could not find anyone on staff who could speak English. If you can get by in Spanish, by all means go ahead and book this property. Located at one end of the Historic District with Metro stop at entry and 7-Eleven convenience store across the street.

Just stayed on night got a room for around 50.00 a for the nite and found the hotel to be very very nice.

Best hotel for that price

Stayed for 2 nights, a short stay, its very well located in the center, close to everything that you might need. taxis pass by all the time, also a subway station right outside. very kind reception and cleaning lady. Plus a very very nice price. Definitely recommend!!! :-)

We booked last minute through hotels.com, got a great price. The parking is secured. Our view from 213 was very nice facing the park.We did hear cars honking, and police sirens off and on, didn't bother us in the least, no different than staying in any other big city. Took a stroll in the evening, lots of people doing the same. Oxxo and 711 across the street.

it was friendly and comfortable usaually stay here because of it.

Besides the small miscommunication between the hotel and hotels.com it was a very good stay. The hotel was in a good area, the service was great, and it was very clean. It's not a fancy hotel so don't expect too much; it's a great deal for visiting the city and we didn't spend too much time indoors. The A/C is a plus for the hot days.

This is the 2nd time I stayed at Portobelo and have been impressed both times. The rooms are always clean. The rooms are quiet (I stayed in a room facing the street and had no issues with noise). The staff is very helpful (although not all speak any English). The surrounding location has a lot to choose from in terms of food (there's also a 7-eleven across the street). The subway train has a station right outside the door. The restaurant was not great. Didn't really care for the breakfast buffet, but really other than that, this is a GREAT hotel! Staying there again soon.

second time i stay here and it's a great experience. located near the underground train which makes it easy to travel around and its a few blocks from all the shopping.... definately staying here again.

I have stayed at the Portobelo many many times. I own a hotel in Mazatlan so I know what to look for. This place is very clean.Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Great staff and housekeeping. Great location. The best part about the Portobelo is the price. You cant beat it.

We had a fabulous time in Guadalajara and were most pleased with PBH. The staff was most helpful and accommodating. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. It could not have been better.Thank You.

Excellent value in my favorite neighborhood of Guadalajara. In my opinion, there is no other hotel that offers this level of accommodation at this price. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be near the center of the city. I go to Guadalajara every week (I live in Ajijic) and have tried dozens of hotels.

I found the Location, staff, FREE WiFi, Accessibility to Mass Transit Excellent! I have stayed at hotels in GDL's Centro Historico and found this hotel comparable. Again, FREE WiFi, cleanliness of Bathroom & modern conveniences. Already told several Family & Friends this is my new haven! Thanks PBH=)

We enjoyed our stay at Portobelo. Our only complaint was that the reception was not over friendly.

Good value. Good for tourists. Great parking, in and out. Help needs to be better trained at front desk to smile and be friendly.

Stayed for a week the room looked clean and well maintained almost like new. I felt safe and there is free underground parking. One of the light bulbs burned out and the issue was resolved quickly. The park across the street played really loud music, the mattress is rock hard, and there were so many one way streets it took me a while to find my way back to the underground parking. Other than that I will come back but not because their beds are comfortable.

Very comfortable hotel with many amenities! Location very convenient, but along with great locatin comes some noise from the street and revilers. I will go back. Great value.

Everything was wonderful even the breakfast buffet that you pay 85 pesos for. Room was awesome, water pressure on shower was great. The only thing I didn't like is the receptionist gave access to my room to my mother without my concent while I wasn't there. I mean if only I have a card then I should be the only one that has access.

perfect. a/c was very good. 32in tv had 55 channels with movies / room service was very reasonable and good food. front desk was friendly and spoke very good english . only down side was the park across the street. they seem to have someone all night on a loud speaker . so if you can, get the rooms faciing away from the park. tacos half block away were 40 cents and delicious. highly recommend portobello. get room online, it is 20 dollars cheaper than walking in for a room. thanks hotel.com

Thd hotel is more than what we paid, everything is walking distance and i would sure stay there again, love it and all the staff was super friendly....

My wife and I have stayed at the Portobelo before and it's a very nice hotel. The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and the rates are extremely affordable. We will continue to stay here during our annual visit to Guadalajara.

excellent hotel, friendly service...!!!to bad when I want it to stay extra couple nights there was nothing available..??but overall nice place and for sure i'll stay there next time

Guest service is excellent. I will stay at this hotel every time I go to Guadalajara.

My recent stay for two nights at Portobelo was very satisfying. Hotel is conveniently located in downtown with plenty of free indoor parking. Hotel staff is very friendly, smiling and helping. The room size is adequate. Bedding and Mattress is comfortable. The room is very clean and provides LCD TV with surround sound system. Bathroom is clean. Restaurant is very appealing and food is excellent. Had a buffet breakfast for 85.00 pesos and every penny was worth. Highly recommend this hotel to Guadalajara Travelers.

You can't go wrong with this hotel. I have stayed here several times and it is consistently good. It's a great value for the money and the breakfast buffet is tasty too.

I arrived early, like 6am, and they allowed me to check in right then. Later that day I noticed they had some Hottub suites. I inquired about the difference in cost and asked if they had one available for the 2 nights I would be there. They said no problem, and allowed me to move my room to the nicer suite for a very modest charge. Overall I was extremely happy with this hotel and I'm sure I will stay again when I visit Guadalajara in the future.

I fully recommend this hotel. Rooms and Hotel are very clean and nice. If you are staying with your significant other, you may want to call hotel directly to book a suite. Price is not bad and you wont regret it. Very good service as well. Stay here.

Very modern hotel, good location. about 15 minute walk to main market. lots of bars and restaruants close by.

Hotel is new, cold a/c in the room , but didnt need it.. PLENTY of PARKING !!!!! location is ok if you're planning on going to the malls on Vallarta Ave and/or Downtown historic stuff, 24 hour 7 eleven across the street and also Money Exchange .. Very clean, again its new..

Magnifico.

Muy agradable , pero le falta el servicio de restaurante a la hora de la comida, el bufet en el desayuno esta bien.
