Chelsea Savoy Hotel - نيويورك

The Savoy had one of the cheapest rates for a single night stay, booked a week in advance. I didn't take advantage of any available amenities, but the room was relatively small and basic with no bells and whistles. The only thing odd about the room is that the drapes do not cover the windows, and the curtain that does is white and sheer offering no privacy. My room was on the second floor facing 23rd street and I could literally reach out my window and touch a passerby.

The Chelsea Savoy is only a few doors down from the better known Hotel Chelsea. The neighborhood is a few blocks from the "Highline" so it's a great location in an area with a lot of dining options. Just don't arrive by automobile. Unlike many hotels that leave a clear curb space to unpack,you have to be lucky to get enough curb space to drop off your bags. And good luck finding a public parking garage that isn't "FULL". This is a great hotel for the money if you get dropped off by cab.

The surrounding is very convenient to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. It is pretty quiet. The Bathroom is upgraded and very clean.

they really are doing you a favour at check in and if you have just flown for 35 hours and you arrived at 2pm and check in 3pm well you just have to wait the front desk resemble european refugees fearful that the advancing rebels will be there any minute its America for heavens sake HAVE A NICE DAY

Our stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience. The front desk staff when we checked in was very helpful and facilitated a quick hassle free check in.Some others on duty at night were very matter of fact. Beds were comfortable and cleanliness was pretty satisfactory. We were surprised at the instant reponse and action when we asked for an extra set of towels. Overall good. However, the complimentary pastries, bagels and coffee offered every morning left a lot to be desired. Bagels were hard and seemed stale and there were no pastries to be seen to start with, unless we asked. Also, the hotel could do with a tea/coffee maker in the rooms. Otherwise, a good place to stay in Manhattan.

Great location. Room was larger than I expected. It was very clean and our front desk service was good.

We realy like the Chelsea Savoy, and have stayed there several times. It is NOT fancy, but rather a "no frills" hotel. But the rooms are decent sized, especially for NYC, with everything you really need. The neighborhood is great. We went to a fabulous Belgian restaurant with an entire page of beers just a few blocks away. It is between 2 subway lines, so getting around is a piece of cake. I recommend it for anyone who wants a comfortable hotel to enjoy the city, and isn't hung up on fancy decor or having a mini-bar. Staff is nice, and there is coffee, tea and pastries/croissants/bagels every morning.

I thought this hotel was just perfect for my needs and the price was just right. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. It's close to the subway and several restaurants with a variety of price ranges. I would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea Savoy. The people who worked there were especially friendly and helpful. They plotted our courses many times and printed out maps for us to follow. I also enjoyed the breakfast bagels and cream cheese and coffee.

The elevators kept failing one after the other for 2 days back to back. We were afraid to take them in the end. Other than that, it was a pretty decent stay. No complaints.

Perfectly adequate room for a great rate in NYC. Right at subway stop in Chelsea. Save your money for a great meal - stay here.

My tow Girlfriends and I used the Chelsea Savoy over Memorial weekend for a fun getaway. The Hotel is convenient to the down town area and has a subway station nearby for access to all areas of NYC. The rooms were not fancy but were Clean, Quiet and Comfortable. Our only criticisms were that the beds were a bit hard for our taste and the elevators were out for nearly a whole day which was and inconvenience. All in all we were greatly satisfied and plan to use the Chelsea Savoy again.

The room was clean, quiet and reasonable for New York city. I would recommend it and would stay again.

None of the lamps worked in the room; message on cable tv kept popping up stating that the bill had not been paid; bathroom is moldy and grundgy; Both of the 2 elevators were down; I let the staff know of the issues and they didnt have anything to say;location was great and close to all Chelsea restaurants

The Chelsea Savoy is a functional, reasonably priced hotel in a great location. we walked to the highline, theatre and the Village. It is clean but provides no frills. The rooms are small; intended for sleeping and dressing. The bed was a matress on a wood frame, no box spring. The lobby is also small and essentially for checking in and out. Staff was helpful. Everything you want in NYC was next door including the subway stop and decent restaurants open until midnight. We weren't in the room much.

As a former New Yorker I expect reasonably priced rooms to be small, so was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't THAT small. Price is great, location is safe, central, and close to subways, bars and restaurants. The room was clean, the bathroom adequately sized. The air conditioner was a little noisy, but hey, it worked. My only complaints are that the mattress was harder than I like, and seemingly the place hasn't paid it's DISH Network bill, as a notice to pay up kept appearing when I watched HBO, filling the screen, and wouldn't go away But who needs HBO when you have Manhattan?

The hotel was clean, excellent location. Very comfortable king bed. It was a special anniversary and when I told the reservation clerk she upgraded us to a King from Queen on a higher floor. Very little noise from street. Problem with water temp in shower was immediately repaired after we mentioned it. Staff was helpful and courteous. Rates were good for busy May weekend.

Decently priced hotel (relative to other NYC hotels) with good service and clean rooms.

It was ok except that he windows' noise insulation is very poor. After 4 am you remember you're in NYC

We were really satisfied with this hotel, since it has a great location and close to interesting places. We used subway most of the time (red line 1,2,3) you can go to Time Square or downtown easily. Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Staff was friendly and they arrange taxis to go to the airport really early in the morning. Breakfast it's ok, just for bagel and coffee, there are other breakfast options closed by if you are really hungry for breakfast, there is a Wholefoods really close. I definitely recommend this option for family and couples. Just a note that someone was smoking and smell was on third floor through the elevator, other than that, it was great!

No complaints from these two adults and two kids who stayed 4 nights. The room and surroundings were clean, every request was attended to, toiletries and towels were replaced everyday, breakfast was good and plentiful, front desk staff members were efficient and business-like (suits me fine, maybe some people prefer warm and fuzzy). The location is superb -- a few steps to the subway, and a grocery, restaurants, pharmacy all within a few minutes' walk. Highly recommended.

Low key and wonderful. Prompt delivery of additional towels, fresh bagels and coffee. Great location. Clean rooms.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only negative that we have is the beds are like sleeping on concrete. However, it is very conveniently located.

I love the Chelsea neighborhood and this hotel is right in it. No lobby seating but there were coffee shops and restaurants very close by so we just met at one of those. It was a pretty typical inner-city hotel with small rooms etc. I was on the 3rd floor with big windows overlooking two busy streets so there was a lot of street noise. If you have a hard time sleeping with that kind of noise, this would not be a good room. The price was right.

good basic place

Frequent traveler to NYC, first time here and not again. Picked for the location and the price, but overall felt shabby and extremely noisy on the street, even for NY. Felt like it had not been updated since the early '80s. Paid around $200 but have stayed in numerous other properties that felt much better for similar price.

Room furniture and decor needs some major updating. Polyester, quilted bedspreads are usually offered at much cheaper hotels. The beds were HARD and low. The windows did not have any drapes that closed, only cosmetic, allowing too much sun streaming into the room in the morning. The desk staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed when I shared with them that the drain in the shower was super slow and backs up into the tub. I also shared that the shower makes a loud whine sound unless it is turned all the way hot. I would definitely NOT stay here again. The only real plus was the location.

This hotel met the bare minimum in most aspects, but that was all that I needed or expected for the price.

Hi stayed here for four nights in early March. Had three teens with me and we stayed in a room with two double beds. For the price, we didn't expect much and it was an OK hotel. The service at the front desk was not good at all (didn't respond to questions, had some attitude when we requested four towels for our room), but they did come through with the extra towels in the end. The maid service was EXCELLENT and, even though the surroundings are just OK, the room was very clean and they always remembered to leave us enough towels! Breakfast = bagels and coffee downstairs - but what bagels. We loved them. Location can't be beat

This place is close to everything. It's definitely not a 5-star hotel, however, it's very clean, comfortable, and a great location. It's a perfect family hotel with pastries and bagels for breakfast and it's also quiet (for NYC). We are already planning our next trip to NYC and plan on staying in this hotel. By the way, if you stay here, it's to your advantage to spend some time learning the subway and bus system to get the most out of the location.

Stay was good. The room was clean and price was reasonable for the location it was in. Was also happy that breakfast was provided although its simple pastries and coffee.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We had a window with a nice view of the street. The staff was very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel and room is not fanncy but clean. Convenient location and a few steps to subway.

No problems, except breakfast was 15min late (scheduled for 8am).
