Great salt water pool and exercise room Good variety for breakfast which is included Walking distance to good seafood restaurants Parking is valet only or on the street but not a big deal

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. There was plently for the kids to do, and the convenience of this hotel makes it the perfect place to stay. The staff was beyond helpful and courteous and made our short stay in Portsmouth a very pleasant one. I will always choose to stay at the Residence Inn when I come to this beautiful town!!

Best hotel experience we have had! A+ for ease of check in, room cleanlieness, comfort and design, and the friendly accommodating staff.

We had a great time and enjoyed the hotel amenities very much! You can't beat the level of service we received from check in to check out. The location is difficult because of construction and lack of parking.

Valet parking a bit strange, hotel being built next door provided an unwelcome view, but all in all a very nice stay. Free breakfast was good!

My teenage daughter and I, along with her best friend, wanted a little get away and the Marriott was absolutely perfect in every way! The girls and I loved the cookies which greeted us at reception, the pool and workout room was exactly what we were looking for and the evening hors d'oeuvres were fantastic! The location of the hotel was really ideal for us since we could easily walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room was superb as we had a one bedroom with a little kitchen. This really came in handy for storing leftovers, cooking popcorn and warming up hot chocolate. Everything was very clean, there was ample space and every employee we encountered seemed so genuinely happy and helpful. We really had a lovely time and would very highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed two nights in a suite and it was very nice. Good size room with a kitchen. Valet is very reasonable. My only complaint is that the bed was hard and i didnt sleep that good. Full free breakfast in the morning as well

A lovely well maintained hotel with friendly, efficient, and helpful staff.

Great location and a great little city. No complaints - It is what it is.. Clean, comfortable, & friendly staff at a reasonable price.

Very relaxing and a super hotel, I've stayed here several times and never disappointed.

Hotel was very clean, friendly staff & a great place to stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Room heating was noisy. We reserved a one bedroom suite which turned out to be the handicapped room. Free breakfast buffet-very average but no other restaurant options in hotel. Pool but no hot tub.

With the exception of some heel-noisy neighbours above us, the hotel was great. Can't beat the location.

Loved everything. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was FABULOUS and the location was absolutely perfect for walking all around Portsmouth.

We had a wonderful 3 night getaway. Did more shopping than we should have. Had some wonderful meals at Portsmouth restaurants.....Cafe Mediterraneo was a favorite. Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. We will stay there again!

The hotel is quite nice - great location, good condition and decor, very friendly staff. Everything was great except that the bed was so hard that both my boyfriend and I had trouble sleeping. The pillows were also quite soft and not good for us side sleepers. It was a one-night stay, so no opportunity to see if the staff could improve the situation, but I got the impression that they would have tried.

Wonderful stay. Staff pleasant and helpful. Room size was generous. Breakfast was excellent.

Loved our stay. We will definitely return. We were away with another couple, but will return next time with kids. Suites are beautiful and very spacious and kitchenette fantastic! Great deal for the rate we got!

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and more comfortable than I thought it was going to be. The location was wonderful and would go back for another weekend trip and stay there.

The receptionists are very friendly and take initiative to ask how they can help to make your stay more enjoyable or convenient. The rooms are clean and have lots of amenities. The breakfast is good. A great value if visiting the area and need a nice place to stay

Great room , bed, and location. Front desk girls very friendly. Able to walk to best bars and restaurants downtown. Loved it!

new,green and clean with a small but nice indoor salt water pool and exercise room .The free breakfast is more than you usually get at other hotels. The hotel is very clean, staff is extra friendly and the location is within walking distance of some excellent restaurants.Parking is a bit expensive at $.75 an hour but the great breakfast and friendly staff offset the extra cost. It is very quiet in the rooms and no street noise could be heard.

Our stay at the Portsmouth Marriott was outstanding in every way. The front lobby staff was superior and they (Megan and Troy) were so helpful with our questions and suggestions as well as directions for places to visit. Breakfast was fantastic and offered many choices to address anyone's diet. It was one of the best hotels that we have enjoyed over many years of travel. We compliment the staff and manager of this hotel because they are doing their respective duties with pride and skill.

Great location, service and breakfast. The only minor complaint we had with the hotel proper was that the stairwells needed to be vacuumed. The parking lot is either in a city lot or on the street. While we were there the city lot was being worked on and so we had a slight problem finding parking. The hotel was very helpful and we were able to park within a block.

We went to Portsmouth to celebrate our friends 50th Birthday. The hotel was full but you never would have known it. There were several bachelorette parties going on in the hotel but once they closed their doors you couldn't hear them. Very close to all the shops, restaurants and night life. Will definately return.

We weren't sure what to expect from a Residence Inn but were pleasantly surprised. Found last minute deal on Hotels.com and very happy we did. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was nice. They offered free laundry detergent and dryer sheets which was a nice touch. The room itself was spacious and clean. And they set up a playpen for our baby. Location is very central and parking lot price was very reasonable.

Perfect location. Walking distance to Prescott Park and Strawberry Banke, as well as many shops, restaurants and bars.

Even before our stay began, the hotel was very accomidating. We traveled from out of town for a wedding and arrived at the hotel 4 hours before the designated "check-in" time. They had rooms ready 4-hours in advance and we were able to check-in upon our early arrival without any questioning or hesitation. The hotel room itself was beautiful, very clean, and well setup. There was a full kitchen in our room, large bathroom, and comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet in the morning was one of the best I've ever seen at a hotel. The hotel staff at the front desk was beyond exceptional and very willing to assist when needed. The surrounding neighborhood was great - sidewalks everywhere made it easy to walk around town without concern. Overall a wonderful experience and well worth the cost! Highly recommended!!

I had an excellent stay. Great rooms, clean, fresh, nice windows with good light. Modest but fresh-feeling bathroom. 24/7 coffee, good breakfast, and on a hot summer day they had lemonade and water available in the lobby. Feels cozy, like a place you want to be. If you are staying in Portsmouth, completely worth the extra $100 above, say, the average hotels in the area, which are not nearly as good.

It was great!!! The staff was awesome, 166 stores surrounded the area, and the room was clean. I can't wait to go back.
