Staff was very nice, hotel had everything, no problems at all...one issue with bill but was fixed immediately...plan to stay here again

During our stay we experienced problems with our room keys deactivating. There was also a false fire alarm @ 4am. Other than that our stay was pleasant.

Loved the location! Staff was very friendly. Didn't like that one of the two rooms I had didn't have a table on balcony and the fridge wasn't working. Also the hotel was doing maintenance on their fire alarm system so the alarm kept going off continuously thruout the day which was scaring my 2 month old.

Travelled from Houston to spend the Easter weekend with family of 4 children. We had great time. It is unfortunate that a beach like that does get more investements and attention to nature and services on the beaches. The staff of the Hotel were very nice and helpful. I was surprised of pricing and offers. The general guests were families but still few spring breakers and the Hotel should be more careful on attire, loudness and after hours noise in corridors and rooms. Restaurant service and food option are just ok. They asked us to wear a bracelet on the very last day of our stay...that was unusual. The beach should have hotel owned chairs and umbrellas, as well better displacement. The space and the vicinity of the LaQuinta can make you feel claustrophobic.

I send my girls for the weekend and it was a BLAST! They said it was a good weekend.

Staff was not professional at all, this hotel needs updating , hotel has bad smell and our room was not clean as it should. Shower was the worst it had someone's hair and used up soap all over. Do yourself a favor stay at Hilton Garden inn next door.

the room smelled like smoke and musty, could get the smell out of my hair and clothes for a few days

Our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island was very good! The hotel was nice, clean and the restaurant had very, very good food at a very reasonable price!!! We had an oceanview king suite and it was one of the best views on the island! I noticed there are rooms that overlook the parking lot, so I would highly suggest the 4th floor king suite!!! Talked to some people that were put on 3rd floor and asked to be moved to 4th floor as kids were running thru the halls all night long! Very nice walkway to the ocean. Pool is NOT heated and was way too cold to get into! Location is a little far north, but you can take a taxi to anywhere on the island for $6. I would definitely stay there again.

Our stay here was amasing. The staff is wonderful. Even had valentine cookies left in our room on Valentines Day. The staff is so great and friendly. Every inch of this place is as clean as it comes. The location is right on the beach!! Couldn't get any better then this. The rooms are large and very nice. Will be back again!!

From the moment we arrived my wife and I were greeted with professional and sincere staff. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary on a 4 day getaway. I had called ahead and had them set up the room with chocolate covered strawberries, wine, and red roses. We walked into the room and were very amazed with the room presentation.

What a great few days we had in this superlative hotel. Staff fantastic, suites wonderful, pool area dazzling, all sitting just a short boardwalk away from the gulf surf! Haven't had a hotel experience like this in years! Can't wait to go back!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Pool area was suprisingly beautiful. Definitely recommend. Good value also.

We've stayed in a lot of hotels on SPI and this will be our hotel of choice moving forward! You wont be disappointed. Pros: Great restaurant available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, great store downstairs for snacks, pool is amazing and heated, quick walk to the beach, great bar, VERY spacious rooms with lots of channels and great views and comfortable beds Cons: Limited room service options, no free breakfast

The staff here is great. So friendly and accommodating. Bed was uncomfortable, food was great and pool is beautiful. Great specials during this time of year. Visit the dunes at the end of the island, they are incredible! I would stay again.

The staff of this Hilton are excellent. Housekkeping was meticulous. Problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently. A refrigerator was replaced in 15 minutes. The front desk acted as a concierge and enhanced our stay considerably. Would recommend it highly!

Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island is a great hotel. It is right on the beach and across the street from the sea turtle rescue and the birding center. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Happy hour is nice, although the drinks are weak , the free snacks are a bonus. We would definitely stay there again.

The location is great. Right on the beach. The hotel is nice. Only problem is that the beds are too hard and too small. Other than that, it is a nice hotel

Overall it is a nice hotel. but we have the unfortunate experience that a water line was accidentally ruptured and we were with out water for awhile.

make sure u book only what you are going to staythey dont give refunds if u stay less days.

When my wife and I got to our room on the fourth floor on Friday afternoon, I detected a slight musty odor in the room. I decided not to say anything if it wasn't commented on by my wife. On Sunday, a few hours before checking out, we commented to the front desk that our coffee maker was not working. The gentleman at the front desk stated that they were going to contact us on Friday but it was too late that they had been having some plumbing issues in that room. Nothing was mentioned to us on Saturday all day or Sunday, until we spoke up. I dont think that that is the right attitude to take concerning a hotel guest.

this hotel is fantastic we had a great time the staff is wonderful and they are very customer friendly we have decided this will be a place we will visit every year

This is the perfect place to stay! The view from our "partial view" room was beautiful! The staff was soo nice! every morning they looked up and greeted us, with "Hello ladies how was your night!" . They went out of their way to greet and make sure that every detail of our stay was perfect! I will return and have been telling all my friends about this wonderful place to stay!

We love to travel with our two small dogs and this hotel is very pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed the vacation with us as much as we with them. It was much better than leaving them to wonder when we'd return. Thank you Hilton for the great room and the staff that kept our dogs safe when we were out dining! We'll be back!

This was my second time to stay at the hotel in 6 months. The hotel staff was great. I originally booked the two queen beds with partial beach view. After checking in when found some outside light bugs in our room. I spoke with with the front desk, where they informed me they only had a junior suite with full beach view left, which was more than the room I paid for. Maintence came to the room to inspect it and then the front desk moved us to the junior suite at no extra cost. They even helped us move rooms and apologized for the inconvience. I Love the staff for being understanding and moving us even though the room they moved us to was the only one left in the hotel and cost more than what we paid. I will definately go back!!!!

Our second trip to SPI and our first to Hilton Garden Inn. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this hotel at SPI! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Suggest the brek buffett. It was delish and filled us up until dinner. Had room service for two dinners. Food was pretty good. The pool is great. They do play loud music at the pool and if you are at the pool for many hours it gets kinda old. One day they didn't start the music until around 2p which gave us a break. Great beach/pool view from room. Good size balcony so you can eat outside or just sit and read. Walk across the boardwalk to the beach. Loved our stay and we will be back! p.s. One of the reasons we stayed here in the first place is because they accept dogs and we brought our Japanese Chin with us.

We had a good time at this hotel, somewhat expensive if you don't pick your dates carefully. Don't like that theres% fee for taking food to your room. Rooms are good, but don't like that the AC is not set up on the top of the wall. Instead it is set up like in Motels where it is on the lower part of the wall, so it hits one bed more than the other. Pool area almost without any shade, but everything was very clean and the pool is heated. Good beach access, but the showers need a fix. Overall, we liked it, but rates can go pretty high compared to nicer hotels in other beaches.

The room was nice and big, but the only down fall was the cleanliness of the bedspread. There were very noticeable stains on the white bedspread. Let's just say I didn't use it at all! I loved that the hotel had beach access.

This hotel does not live up to the usual Hilton quality and so is way overpriced. When we arrived the balcony had still dirt and spills from who knows how many previous guests. It took them two days and three requests to get that cleaned up. Other than that the hotel seems new or renovated but it doesn't look like too much effort is being put on current upkeep. Our shower had no drainage. It will probably be a dump in two years. When asking about the gift shop they said they have been trying to start it up for months. The hotel restaurant is pretty much useless. Poor menu and bad quality food. Only the breakfast is good with awesome omelets. The location of the hotel is at the end of the town, so you need to drive everywhere. Fair enough the taxi rates are pretty cheap and quick, however a convenience shuttle from the hotel would be appreciated for sure. Again, even though it has the price, the hotel does not deserve the Hilton name.

This was our first visit to SPI so we weren't sure what to expect. We didn't want to regret our hotel decision so we sucked it up and paid for the Hilton. It was clean and new and the pool was great. Loved our ocean view from our balcony and the walk to the beach was just down a short boardwalk. The staff was fine..we didn't really request much. Reading all the other hotel reviews I'm glad we splurged and went with the Hilton. Although it was nothing special. Pros: Location to the beach, new and clean, pool area was fantastic, room was comfy and the a/c was perfect! Always had towels for our use in the room and at the pool. Poolside drink/food service turned out to be a real positive! :) Cons: Price! Of course it was high season. No room service after 9:00 pm??? Seriously why order room service in the middle of the day? Sewer smell from the bathroom sink...made it very unpleasant to brush your teeth or get ready in the bathroom. We just closed the drain and only used it when necessary, shouldn't have to do this with the price we paid!!! Thanks SPI for a fun little get away. Probably won't be back anytime soon. LOVED Gabriella's lasagna and nachos..actually we might go back just to eat there.

Very friendly staff, nice & clean rooms. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Beach access was a plus. Would recommend this place to anyone!

This hotel was awsome. We had a partial beach view and it was great. Room was very comfortable and had lots of space. Beach access great and the swimming pool very nice. We had a great time at south padre. Would stay at this hotel again.
