Me and my wife spent 10 days in Italy. We stayed in Sorrento, Montepulciano, and Rome. This was by far the best hotel we stayed at. Very clean and modern. Excellent staff. It's only a couple blocks from Termini station and even closer to a metro stop (think it was Republica). The area wasn't "bad" it was just not in the middle of everything. Me and my wife knew that when we booked it but we do regret not getting a hotel in the center of "old" Rome. That being said, as long as you are ok with having to walk or take the bus (which is not fun at all) this hotel is excellent.

The front desk personel was the friendliest and most helpful of my entire trip consisting of 3 countries. They gave excellent recommendations for dining and assisted in other requests. The rooms were very clean and neat. The houskeeping did an excellent job cleaning our rooms and providing fresh towels daily. I would recommend this hotel to a family member and/or friend. I would definitely satay there again!!!

Clean, friendly and efficient

IQ hotel is very modern and clean. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Vending machines are fun and convenient. The real negative was the size of the rooms and the platform bed. If your staying for a couple of nights it's not so bad for the price.

Beds were a little hard but the room was very clean and a great size, very large bathroom. Close to everything, I will definitely stay there again if I make it back to Roma!

The hotel was very modern in contrast to it's surroundings, spotlessly clean, staff very polite and helpfull. The only negative comment I can say is that the aircon was'nt due to be switched on until the day we left 29th March, but as soon as we mentioned it to the manager he lent us a fan for the room which did the job

This new four-star hotel, across the street from the Opera House, is an easy walk from the train station (less than ten minutes), and a longer walk to all of historic Rome. Rooms are large, well furnished and well-lit. Hotel has a "practical" and slightly self-service attitude (vending machines, including one for wine; no room service; coin-operated washer and dryer). Optional breakfast (which we didn't have) and no restaurant. There's a garage under the hotel. Good service from the front desk. An excellent choice if proximity to the train station is important.

The hotel was exactly how they tell you it will be. Simple, straightforward and perfectly executed. The staff were poilte and efficient, the room spacious and clean. Room tidied and clean towels every day. The self service bar isnt really a bar but who cares? When in a city as amazing as Rome who wants to sit in a hotel? The Hotel is very close to Termini - around a 5 minute walk and a 10/15 minute walk to Trevi fountain and spanish steps.We simply could not fault this hotel.

This hotel is close to the main attractions and is very comfortable. The rooms are quiet and well furnished. The hotel has an innovative approach with vending machines able to supply many of your needs including bottles of wine, beer, sandwiches etc. The breakfast is very good and excellent value. The staff are all excellent with top class service.

iQ Hotel Roma - very clean, comfortable and convenient. Helpful staff, happy to hold luggage for a day or two.

Great hotel at a very reasonable price. Good location. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel - something that many hotels like to (over-)charge for separately. Breakfast buffet was very good too, and excellent value too, at just 10 euros (especially when you consider that just one coffee will easily set you back 3 or 4 euros in Rome).

Great hotel that is conveniently located to the subway (Repubblica and Termini stops). Comfortable and clean rooms. Rooms that are small by American standards, but typical to Europe. Convenient vending machines in hotel that dispense water, wine and cappucinnos for more than reasonable prices.

This hotel is 5 mins walk from the Termini Train and Bus station and near to shops and Restaurants. The staff are extremly helpful and pleasant and the hotel is spotlessly clean.Breakfast is excellant. The only complaint we had was that the beds are small and not very comfortable.

Very good hotel, staffs are nive and speak good english. The hotel is new and bright. Self service machine seems a little bid inconvenience but the price is cheap. Location maybe a little concern as it is not on the main street. However, MTR is only a 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is great when compare with the cafe around.

I stayed IQ hotel roma for 5days in Jan 2012, The facilities in hotel were very nice. They are clean and well decorated. However some staff at the front desk made our stay unhappy. They were rude to us. One particular staff didn't even say hello(respond_) when I say hello first. Other than the staff at the front desk, the housekeeping staff were very kind and helpful.

facility is new and comfort and the room is very clean Staff is polite and helpful service. location is not obvious, but actually is just 10 mins by walk from Roma Termini Overall is strongly recommend hotel.

it's about 5 mins walk from Termini station and Repubblica station, very conveniece to everywhere. Since it's our honeymoon, they got a free upgrade to a King's room which is really big in Europe style and with balcony! Free wifi provided but not breakfast, heard that breakfast there is sth u shouldnt miss but what is better than eating in a local cafe when u're in a foreign country? Mattress is kinda hard (softer than rock, a little), which hurt my back the next day, room temperature is higher than 30C, however, the techician fixed twice but still cannot get it fixed, didnt get me to change to other room, too noisy to open window to get breeze, anyway, the temperature & the hard mattress were annoying us during the whole stay at IQ hotel. Furthmore, the cleaning lady broke my luggage tag while cleaning my room WITHOUT APOLOGIZE! She/he just put my broken luggage tag above my luggage as "notification"! Besides these all, IQ hotel is not a bad choice.... only if it doesnt happen on us......

IQ hotel is perfectly located just a couple of minutes walk from the main train terminal and metro station, and also 15 minutes walk from the Colesseum etc, but the walk is fabulous as you pass other great buildings on the way. Cotto restaurant nearby is highly recommended too. The staff are very polite and helpful and spoke great English. Our room was a little cold as the thermostat didn't seem to work but on reporting this to recepton they promptly brought us a small heater which resolved our problem. Our favourite feature of the hotel was the rooftop terrace - despite being in a busy city centre it was so peaceful up there. And as it was chilly in the evenings there were marquees with heating to sit in so you could sit up there well into the evening with drinks from the self-service alcohol vending machine, in which the drinks were very reasonably priced... unlike the kiosks near the tourist attractions - beware! Also beware of the Roman soldiers outside the main attractions - they encourage you to have your photo taken with them, and after you've smiled for various silly photos with them they demand 5 Euros from each of you. Of course they don't tell you beforehand that there's a charge. Another bonus of the hotel was the free Wi-Fi. Rome was amazing and if I were to go back I would stay in this hotel again, probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.

I found this hotel to be an eyesore in Rome. We came across many problems with our room during our trip which the hotel handled. The reception staff was not very friendly.

I would not recommend this hotel due to the unbelievable hard beds. Apart from this shortage, which made it very hard to sleep, the hotel was very clean and nice . Situated within walking distance to all sights. Also, the TV is a worthless 17 inch so if you're going here to watch TV you should take another hotel.

A nice hotel, centrally located and comfortable room. Mind that they don't provide complementary slipeers, brushes, toothpaste, cups etc. All you need could be bought from a vending machine. It would be even better if they provide 2 cups and a kettle in the room. Recommended for those who could book in advance

Terrific hotel and, yes, the vending machines are pretty terrific too. Hotel is close to the Main Termini (but not too close). Neighborhood has lots of shops but we never could find a really good place to eat (never fear - McDonalds is just down the block). We enjoyed getting some beer and wine out of the vending machines and having drinks on the terrace. The breakfast is just perfect! Lots of fruit, pastries and cheeses in addition to eggs, potatoes and these delicious tuscan beans. Would absolutely stay there again and would recommend you do the same!

Fantastic for travellers...Everything that a traveller could need, including laundry, gym, very family orientated...kids play area....breakfast room...modern lodgings...cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

I stayed there for three days and walked everywhere. There are hotels closer to the main places, but this one seemed to be the best place for the money. It's new (or recently renovated), nice staff and two blocks from the subway. Would stay there again.

Convenient vending machines on all floors, friendly staff. Breakfast, in room safe, roof top garden. Close enough to attractions, very convenient to termini. Not luxurious per se, but very well thought out in terms of offering convenience for travellers. Would stay again.

Very good location, 10min walk from the Rome Termini station and about 15min walk from everything else in Rome. Didn't have any issues in terms of safety, we walked home most nights. Hotel is new and clean however rooms are basic and have central heating that cannot be controlled, our room was way too hot.

Great Location next door to Teatro dell'Opera. Take the time to see a show. It's a great theater. Easy walking distance to many of the sights. Republica Metro station is just around the corner. The hotel is clean, modern and has a great breakfast.. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We had two rooms. One was too warm, the other too cold. That was our only complaint. Other than sleeping in the comfy beds, we didn't spend much time in our rooms anyway. I would book this hotel again.

We booked this hotel because of all the good reviews and weren't disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our room was very small but we did book a small room, so that wasn't unexpected. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient, a five minute walk to the next subway station and ten minutes to the train station (where the airport shuttles/buses leave). And there are many shops and restaurants nearby. We didn't try the breakfast but went to one of the several coffee bars around the corner and had a real Italian breakfast (cappuccino and a cornetto). We would probably have tried it if we had more time, though, because if you want to sit down (and not have your breakfast standing at the bar), the price difference is not that big.

Staying at iQ Hotel Roma was my best hotel experience yet - the hotel was in a great location, the staff were very helpful, the hotel had fantastic amenities and was focused on providing a great service to its customers (e.g. fridge in rooms for your own use, rather than for them to make money with a minibar); there were washing machines on-site for guests, etc), the room was very well organised/laid out. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I simply could not fault this hotel. Location, Cleanliness, Convenience all first class. Rome was a good experience as well. We only stayed for 2 nights however intend to go back and will definitely book this hotel again.

Great Location, very friendly staff, and a very good American breakfast buffet. The only problem was that in my room for some reason the thermostat in the room did not work, and that the second night it got too hot in the room and I had to open the window in the middle of the night. I could not find out if it was just my room's thermostat that was broken, or if the hotel had central heat, because I left in a hurry. You might want to check with the front desk about it at the check in. Aside from the heat problem, I would have given 5 stars.

By European standards, the room was very spacious. Decor is sleek and modern. Hotel staff provided excellent service, particularly with directions and advice on public transportation. We needed to have tickets printed and they allowed us to e-mail our reservation and they printed our tickets for us. Close to a Metro stop and within walking distance of 2 of our favorite meals in Rome.

Fantastic stay at the iQ Hotel which provided excellent value for money. Location was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and informative. I would absolutely stay again.

The hotel was in a great location for us. The rooftop patio was lovely. The vending machines with snacks beer and wine were such a lifesaver the first night we flew in. And the rooms were modern and very clean. We will stay here again for sure.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and was located to many attractions and their subway line. I felt like the pics on their website were an accurate representation of the hotel.

Considering the location, price and the amenities it provides, it is very hard to beat this hotel in Rome.

This is one of the best medium priced hotel we have ever stayed in. We walked everywhere from the hotel to the Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, San Angelo's castle, Jewish Ghetto, Vatican city is a tad far but a taxi would only run 15 euros or so. We even took the fast train to Venice since the hotel is so...close to the train station. The only down side is the self service laundry facility only 1 washer and dryer, and the dryer doesn't work too well. I would rather paid more money to have my laundry pressed and done rather than having to wait and get on the machines.

Great location for train station and walkable to several sites, helpful english speaking staff, comfortable, quiet rooms. Fantastic roof top patio for relaxing with a glass of vino after a busy day touring Rome. Good restaurants and shopping nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Very disappointed in the size of the room.

a long walk away from any of the major sites, and the staff could have been more helpful!
