Hotel Des Grands Hommes - باريس

I loved my 3 night stay at this hotel. Staff at reception were very helpful and efficient with friendly service. They spoke English fluently and were always smiling and there to help. The hotel had warm tones in the decor so that the standard room that I booked had a cosy feeling when entered. It was quite small but with with every comfort and very clean attractive bathroom. The long windows could be opened for fresh air. There were renovations going on next door so the courtyard was under plastic but would normally be a pleasant outlook. The area is beautiful with a very easy walk to Place Contrescarpe and Rue Mouffetard. Bus 84 near front of hotel is handy for major attractions, Metro close and easy walk to Musee de Moyen Age and Luxembourg Gardens. I would love to stay again. Noela, Older single traveller.

A great little hotel directly across from the Pantheon. Close to the Paris Metro, on the line that goes directly to CDG airport. Very friendly, helpful staff. Some renovations going on while we were there (air handling) but staff took care that we were not bothered by this.

The room itself was small (the queen bed took almost all the room), but the bed was VERY comfortable. Loved the high ceilings with exposed beams & huge bathroom. Convenient location across the street from the Pantheon, and walking distance from the Luxembourg Gardens & Palace, Notre Dame and Luxembourg train station. Very helpful front desk personnel who spoke good English. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

This is the second time I have stayed the Hotel des Grands Hommes, and once again the hotel and staff did not disappoint. The hotel is located in a stellar location, and the staff is always very friendly and willing to help with any request. The rooms are very beautifully decorated, as well as spacious by Paris standards, with plenty of storage for clothing and luggage, not to mention very comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay at the Hotel des Grands Hommes the next time I am in Paris.

Well, I have to say that this was a great hotel. Even though our bags didnt show up (thanks to Air France) for 3 days, the people at the hotel tried to accomodate us as much as possible. There isnt much at the Pantheon, but its relatively close to the subway station and to the Latin Quarters were all the cafes are located and eateries. The room was nice and unique. It included a bar for drinks, but expensive as each hotel. The only downside (and its not bad), is that the gal in the basement cooked me a meal, but I guess I was hoping for something more unique to France in terms of quiche rather than a fried egg on a plate and a croissant. Skip the breakfast and walk north down the main drag to the cafe called Mona de...something. Its perfect.

Beautiful hotel with perfect location for plenty of street cafes and a number of the main tourist attractions. Staff were fantastic in everything we asked for from them. Only downside for the hotel is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms but is easily forgiven due to everything else it has to offer.

Great staff, room and location.

Super location close to all main sites; very friendly and helpful staff, room had old world charm (wooden beams in ceiling) combined with modern amenities and a modern bathroom. Room a bit small as is the norm in Paris. Lovely view of the Pantheon. Close to Luxembourg RER stop for direct route to CDG airport. Would highly recommend!

Hotel was under renovations and we were not told of this before we arrived as would of cancelled. My girlfriend was 6 months pregnant and they had no lift working and if we wanted breakfast we would have had to go to the hotel next door. Left after one night and moved to another hotel for the same price but was better. Staff were very helpful and were fione with us cancelling the rest of our time there and were happy to help with anythign we needed but the hotel should not have been open to guests.

This hotel has lots of brilliant ratings on Tripadvisor, all overwhelmingly positive. It's 100% justified. The hotel is wonderful. Very elegantly decorated, very well maintained and with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a fabulous location across the road from the Panthéon in the Latin Quarter of the 5th arrondissement and near the Sorbonne. Paris is small enough for you to be able to walk to most places from the hotel. Get a room on the 5th or 6th floor with a balcony facing the Panthéon if you can. It's not cheap. The basic rate is quite expensive and this doesn't necessarily include breakfast. Like everything else in the hotel, attention to detail and quality are all important with breakfast. It's not big and it's not cheap, but quality is stellar. This hotel is unlikely to disappoint all but the most picky and hyper-critical visitors. Can be expensive but wonderful!

Hotel Des Grands Hommes has an excellent location as well as courteous staff. I dropped a necklace in the sink and they got it out the next morning! It was also very quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are quite small, as are many of the old hotels in Paris. However, it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Near to bus stops and RER station and in a great area for restaurants. Our room was very quiet (on 4th floor). Loved it!

We stayed here for 5 nights in April. The hotel is very well located in a quiet area (ie. no traffic noise) opposite the Pantheon. It is within walking distance (and I was 6 and a half months pregnant at the time..) of Notre Dame and metro lines. The decor of the hotel isbeautiful, very elegant and and traditional, just how we like it. We had a superior room which was a good size for the length of our stay. Staff were very nice and helful. Overall it played a big part in making for an extremely enjoyable 'last holiday' before the baby.

Yläkerran huoneen parvekkeelta näkyi "naapuritalo" Pantheon (näkymää myös kauemmaksi). Kaunis huone oli rauhallinen. Luxembourgin puisto melkein vieressä, Seinen rantaan 1 km,... eli sijainti hyvä.

Leste omtalen i Dagens Næringsliv av dette hotellet, og hadde meget høye forventninger. De ble alle innfridd. Koselige rom, små selvfølgelig, men det er ikke overraskende i Paris. Super beliggenhet, rett ved Pantheon. Vi hadde rom mot bakgården, ikke akkurat spektakulær utsikt, men stille og rolig. Meget profesjonelle og imøtekommende personale. Kommer til å bo her ved neste Paris-besøk, garantert!

OIkein mukava city-hotelli

Litet trevligt hotell - fräscht och fint!

Flott beliggenhet med utsikt over Place de Panthon. Bra service men veldig lite rom. Sengen var også både smal og kort. Frokosten bestilles til rommet - veldig god.

Tyylikäs korkeatasoinen historialliseen tyyliin sisustettu pieni hotelli loistavalla paikalla vasemmalla rannalla Pantheonin kupeessa, lähellä Luxembourgin puistoa, Boulevard St.Micheliä ja Luxembourgin asemaa (jonne suora yhteys lentokentältä). Kalliimmista huoneista näkymä/parvele Pantheonille. Rauhallinen. Ystävällinen palvelu.
