We loved getting up in the morning and looking at view of the ocean. the convenience of everything was near by. The room was very clean. the convenience of everything was near by. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

Room was very clean, the only negative is how thin the walls are so you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly. Luckily our neighbors weren't too noisy after 11pm! Reception staff in the morning were lovely, really friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Very nice - great location!

Overall a nice place to stay. We have a family of 6 and don't like booking separate rooms. The 2 bedroom suite was roomy for all of us. Two of us did not enjoy the beds while the rest had no complaint. Only notable issue would be the lack of hot water (just don't take a long shower).

There were just a couple strange things I couldn't explain. When opening the soap, it was already a little damp. The counter was dry, so what happened? The towels in the bathroom were also just damp enough to notice. The bathroom was tiny. Barely enough room to take a step. Absolutely no WiFi, despite the claim. They may want to make sure it reaches all their rooms. i was surprised to find a small fridge and microwave. Very nice. Friendly people and a good location, but I won't return.

Very nice, comfortable motel. Nothing fancy but we enjoyed our stay. Roomy Will definitely go back. Think it should be rated higher, it's a sleeper.

We booked online and paid about $100. We were pleasantly surprised. The ocean is basically behind the property.

We had a wonderful time. Thanks for booking this motel for us.

I would have liked to have a coffee maker in my room since we had no access to continental breakfast before 8 and instead of donuts english muffins and bagels would be a good addition to the selction

see above..........exception was the shower...hot cold hot cold.. one never knew which it would be. .very inconsistent

Rooms were okay. A bit dark and cramped. There was no computer access although it was advertised. Breakfast was not adequate; just a bunch of donuts and bad coffee. Pool was very cold.

It was the perfect place for a family with a 20 month old. The staff was friendly and helpful. The morning donuts were a great hit! And the location was central to the beach and downtown strip. I would stay again.

It is a good hotel if you are on a strict budget. However, I would personally not stay there again unless there was nothing else available. It is dated, the walls are thin, the t.v. was in the awkward little living room area instead of the bedroom. The furniture was cheap, the bathroom was tiny. The cleanliness was just okay. There is a nice size pool and hot tub but the fence around the pool is cheezy looking and it is not well lit on the evening. The front desk staff was helpful.

The only thing we didn't appreciate was the "continental breakfast" composed of donuts and cereals. We would have rather appreciated toasts, bagels or muffins.

Good value for the money. We made a last minute decision to go away for a long weekend. We were pleasantly surprise by the Colonial Village. Will plan on coming back the next time we go to Maine. We had a very nice continental breakfast, the doughnuts were so good, we had to find out where they came from so we could bring some home with us.

perfect for our needs that day.

Very basic but in a great location. Pool area is fantastic. Breakfast was forgettable. Room was clean. Unusual setup with the bathroom stuck separating the bedroom from the sitting area

1. Overly priced compared to same level surrounding hotels. (2). Small bathroom in that room. (3). Horrible breakfast: just begal, coffee/juice only.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After reading previous reviews we expected an older hotel but were happily surprised at how nice it was. The room was spacious and it was wonderful to have the kitchen with a full sized refridgerator. The only draw back was that we didn't find out about the hot tub that was working outside by the pool until the morning we left. It was a super nice tub and would have preferred using that one over the one in the indoor pool. Especially the last night because it wasn't hot. Just wished that the staff had informed us about it. Would definitely go back!!

Very large and convenient rooms. much larger than the regular size and contain refrigerator, oven, micro and other kitchen facilities. nice indoor swimming pool and private access to the sea (but don't rent kayaks ... The location is a bit far from town - must use a car to go there. I was a bit disappointed to find that there are no shampoos or tea/cofee set. Overall well worth the money.

The Colonial Village Resort was getting ready to close for the season, so that may explain why there were some problems, particularly in the bathroom. The faucets were difficult to operate - they were on wrong, so when you thought you were turning on the cold, you were actually turning on the hot. The bathtub didn't drain when we showered, and as a result, we showered in practically knee deep soapy water. The shower head could not be adjusted, and consequently, water spewed everywhere. When one of the other rooms flushed the toilet, the cold water became non-existent for a few seconds and a couple of times I got a little burned. The location is very convenient, and again, the room was clean and the staff was very cordial. But I probably would not stay there again.

This was the first place I have stayed which did NOT have soap or shampoo or any other bathroom items. There was a bathroom fan but, not a switch to turn it on. Notes on wall in kitchen states cost for missing dishes and the total count of dishes in question which did not coinside with what was in cupboard. Cups were in need of bleaching. On door is sign, if smoking in room, 150.00 fine. The sign that was supposed to be on dresser was behind dresser along with tissue box and dust bunnies too. Makes one think the room was set up for a smoker to smoke and they would be able to charge the fees for that along with the missing dish charge. It would be your word against theirs. I was worried and asked about the dishes and sign behind the dresser. They said was this a king bed room? Then, stated that oh that is okay. Not a comfortable feeling. Things need to change at this place before I would recommend it to anyone.

What other's have commented on I found true. The TV is in an odd location, but it swivels. The continental breakfast is not much more than doughnuts or cereal and poor quality juice & coffee. The indoor pool was small and dark, and the video games stole my quarters. Also...there are no shampoo, lotions etc. The plumbing is loud. But I was happy with the size of the room. It was clean and inviting. The shower pressure was strong and hot. The people were friendly. If you're looking for moderate, It's a fine place to stay.

It was a comfortable room, I just wished the tv was in the bedroom. The bathroom was very small and the sink was outside it. I loved the little balconey and the bed was comfortable. I was dissappointed that there were no small bottles of shampoo or bath soap in the room. The indoor pool and hot tub were great and we really enjoyed them. It was nice that the pool was open til 10 pm. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpfull as to where to go to eat. The view from the hotel was beautiful and the row boats were a big bonus.

Nothing fancy but clean, comfortable, convenient, and affordable. Very well situated and the employees were very nice and accommodating. I hope to go back and plan to recommend it to my friends and family. A pleasnt surprise because I reserved sight unseen!

My daughter and I stayed here for one night on Labor Day weekend. Convenient location...footbridge access to beach straight out back, but walk to town is just 0.5mi, easily doable even with a 10-year-old. Room was clean although bathroom quite small. Breakfast left a lot to be desired (choice of donut or cereal). However, place has both outdoor and indoor pools which my daughter took advantage of even after spending a full day at the beach. I'd stay here again.

Front desk staff were wonderful and friendly. Had to confront the maintenance man who was banging incessantly at my curtained window. When I asked him what the problem was, he told me he didn't know anyone was in there. Hotel rooms are way over-priced and the box spring was filthy and stained...looks like it was pulled out of a dumpster. Also, chambermaid missed providing cups for drinking and shampoo/conditioner...2 out of 4 days.

We were turned off by the large amount of mold growing on the ceiling of the bathroom....We stayed over a holiday weekend, so we did not even ask if they could relocate us....Once was enough....there are plenty of other choices and next time we will go somewhere else.....

This was just what we needed for a few days in Ogunquit. We couldn't afford the more central hotels but this one was still fairly close and gave us an excuse to use the trolley to go to Perkins Cove. Crossing the river to get to the sea was an amusing adventure. The pool was great. Only gripe was the 'Continental' breakfast. I don't think that anyone on the Continent has donuts for breakfast... Some bread/toast would have been appreciated but we made do with the choice of cereals and porridge.

Colonial Village is in a perfect location to walk to restaurants or just walk downtown. The trolley will pick you up so you don't have to drive to the beach or Perkins Cove. The pool is huge, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!

ants in room, poor shower, noisy-paper thin walls

The hotel and front desk attendent were great, only complaint was the matress was uncomfortable.
