THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND PATRICK WAS VERY HELPFUL, WE HAD TO CALL FOR DIRECTIONS

We were really happy for the price. The continental breakfast was decent. The neighbor hood had a couple of local restaurants, beers and a grocery store. One the downside the hotel is about 15 min from downtown and the room had a bizarre fan with a slight smell when we got there. It did seem to dissipate though.

The room was clean, and the buildings have been renovated recently. The washroom wasn't the greatest, but I can't complain for the price. My only gripe was with the promised wi-fi connection. It wasn't worth even trying to connect, it's so slow.

Had some plumming problems in my room the first night. Brought it to the front desks attention first thing in the morning and they put me in a new room right away. Customer service was very good and friendly. Would stay there again.

Carpet was stained, Vinyl floor was lifting in bathroom, wi-fi wasn't working.

Simple and clean accommodation--no frills but none needed. Very good continental breakfast--I especially appreciated the yogurts and the wheat bread, plus fresh fruit. We will probably stay here again.

I would definitely stay here again. Clean, standard hotel room for a good price.

First room on 3rd floor we just got, big fly flying around and I just got in bathroom not sat on toilet I thought it's gotta drop toilet bowl.it was so disgusting.no fridge no microwave,even my mom and sister's room. Then I called the front desk he said sorry,I asked for a different room a he put us to a room for disabled people.The motel was so smelly,really dirty and carpet is so dirty,you can not walk barefeet.the breakfast room just have 2 small tables and no milk no eggs just muffins that cut in halves and small sized bagels toast,so cheap .I rather go and eat at mcdonLd.the staff were not even look happy working.I will never work at any work with bad work environment. Do not get there,it's for homeless.tv only 1 chanel but not clear.no tissues and they put a Mormon book in the drawer,they think just Mormon people book for that motel...really bad experience. We enjoyed our stay at the Aladdin - it's very easy to get to downtown Portland via Barbur Blvd (skip the freeway) and the room was clean/staff friendly. My biggest complaint was the mattress, which sagged rather a lot in the middle but we'd definitely stay again. The hotel breakfast includes pastries but for anyone needing low-carb options it didn't have much in the way of options. Otherwise great value.

This is a very basic motel. There were no extras like shampoo nor even a towel bar near the sink. It was, however, clean and the breakfast was fresh and adequate. In addition, the desk staff was warm and helpful.

Room didn't match my booking, First offered room didn't have a place to hang clothes or a kitchen that I had booked. Final room had dirty uncleaned furniture (including chunks of food and stains all over), two beds that were impossible to move and blocked clear access to the bathroom. Fan didn't work in bathroom and if the bathroom door is open then you couldn't easily get into the shower. Breakfast was terrible. No milk at all - just not part of the selection.

After reading other reviews, I was aware we were not getting anything fancy, but we ok with that. The front desk girls were very friendly, but the gentlemen in the morning who was setting up breakfast was downright rude to every customer eating breakfast. Made it very uncomfortable to want to be in there, So we left..Our room was very basic. It was difficult to not have anything like a coffee maker, lotion, ect. We didnt even have hand soap to wash our hands after using the bathroom, we had to go buy our own. We had our children with us, which made it a bit more of an adventure. Our bathroom floor had what looked like urine on it? But the way it was on the floor, it looked like it might be draining from the bottom of the toilet. We just avoided the bathroom all together, unless needing to use the toilet. The room had almost a dirty feel, maybe because it smelled musty. It was fine for an overnight stay, but if we were on vacation, and needing a cozy home'y feeling, we probably wont choose Aladdin again..

Only a few min away from downtown Portland. Tv was old, but wasn't in the room much. Great place for your money.

we found this hotel to suit our purpose very well. It was clean, friendly and close to everything we needed. If you are the adventurous type it is within walking distance of some unique shopping. Take a GPS and explore, I highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, not too far from city centre. Wifi needs better signal so all rooms can pick up though. Overall, it was clean compared to what I expected for a budget hotel.

Quiet location and clean but tiny harsh towels and extremely hard mattress.

Being only 6 mins from downtown Portland, its a great choice for the frugal vacationer. The inn was well kept and the rooms were clean. The room was furnished with a mini fridge and a microwave which some may find it convenient. The quietness, free parking and wireless Internet adds to the great value this place offers. The biggest downfall for us on this trip was the very low water pressure from the shower head and the Internet cutting in and out on our second night. I would recommend this place.

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend in Portland which is a pretty busy one. Very glad we chose Aladdin Inn. Made reservations a few days before our trip. The room was nice. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and since my son has food allergies having a full kitchen made things so nice and easy. We bought a few groceries and were able to make some easy meals....omelets for breakfast for instance. The breakfast served in the lobby was nice. Orange juice, coffee, fruit, instant oatmeal packets, assorted muffins, bread, bagels, english muffins, etc. We just went down and got the toasted breads and came up and made our own breakfast. The wireless internet reached our room, but was very slow since we were at the far end of the hotel. I just took my laptop and did my business in the lobby for about half an hour each day. The only thing that could have been better was the TV. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nicely updated yet simple. The only thing that could have been better was the TV. It is a 19" old school color TV. I guess when you're used to a 50" flatscreen it's kind of hard to get used to, but since we were gone all day the only time we watched it was at night so it wasn't too bad. Overall, for the price I would definitely recommend the Aladdin Inn.

My husdand and I took a weekend trip to Portland and were looking for an inexpensive place to stay. We came across Aladdin Inn and it looked like a good value. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. It is nothing fancy but was plenty for what we needed. The only downside was it was a little out of the way of downtown but considering the price it was a great find.

good place to stay if seeing Portland. Nice large room, affordable price, breakfast consisted of pastries, fruit and coffee. Took 10-15 minutes to downtown Portland.

Have stayed here a few times great location and clean, can leave the hotel and be in downtown Portland within minutes.

For the price, the room was clean, the staff friendly, acceptable free breakfast in the morning, good teriyaki restaurant across the street to grab dinner. Not the Ritz, but felt comfortable there.

Live at the coast and came in for family and friends to celebrate grandson's birthday at the Lucky Labrador in Multnomah. Hotel within walking distance to the wonderful village. Met family and had a great stay and even greater time! Great place for a short stay!

This is really a 3.5 star hotel, but I'm feeling generous. The good things are that the rooms are clean, it has free password protected wifi (so in theory, not as many people trying to steal it), complementary breakfast (bakery, yogert, fruits), rooms are pretty big, even when there's two queen size beds, the staff is friendly, and the parking lot is pretty huge. Although it is not anywhere walkable to major attractions, it's just a short drive and it's in a very quiet neighborhood and it felt safe. The bad things are that there's no hair dryer or alarm clock (seriously, no clock), the fan/ventilation is actually very loud even at the low speed (we stayed in this place on two separate occasions and both rooms are like this), the sink and its counter is pretty small though, and the bathroom ventilation is really just a window, but it opens to the main hallway where people can see if they walk by. There's no elevators, but that's generally the case for all inns. Overall, not too bad, but it could be better.

Decent motel, cheap and clean. The room was a little worn around the edges, but very clean. The motel was very close to the Multnomah Arts Center, so it was very convenient for my purposes. The lobby was nicely done- the outside of the motel was very clean. They offer a morning continental breakfast. I was very pleased at how quiet the rooms where.

I wanted something close to OHSU, on a bus line, inexpensive without being a dump. The Aladdin fit the bill just fine though a bus trip with transfer can be anywhere from 25-45 minutes depending on time. Rooms are basic but clean, with wireless internet. Also have microwave and fridge though I would have rather had a coffee maker. Bring your own shampoo, though they do offer toiletries at the desk. Good pizza place next door, with best wings I've had. No complaints and I went back a few days later to another satisfactory room.

This motel is just fine for a one or two night stay; the room is small but that's what we expected. There's nothing fancy but it's very clean and the breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly.

Good motel at its pricepoint. Good fridge and microwave. neat and clean room. decent breakfast. Most importantly it was quiet at night and in a safe area.

In looking for an inexpensive hotel for a recent visit to Portland, I picked the Aladdin Inn due to price and the hotels.com reviews (4.3 out of 5). The good....the hotel rooms and main area are immaculately clean. Rooms are made up everyday as expected. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's next to a great neighborhood (Multnomah) with GREAT cafes, restaurants and shops close-by. Easy on/off the freeway. The not so good....it is a 2 star hotel with no amenities. No internet, no hair dryer, not even sample-sized shampoo in the room. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Although I wouldn't stay here again, if you're looking for an inexpensive hotel with no frills and don't plan to spend much time in the room, this is at least a very clean option.

it was clean quiet and perfectly suited for us. we came for 2 concerts and it was very close to downtown where we could park and get on the max.

It was what it was advertised to be. A simple, clean, economic place to spend the night. Nothing fancy, perfectly adequate for the needs of most.

This hotel is a very good bargin. No frills but very clean and comfortable. Staff is very good. Close to I 5 and easy to get to.

The hotel is a Motor Inn though they call it Aladdin & Suites. Breakfast was good but there was no milk though cereal was there. The motel is close to a hospital and therefore lot of patients stay there.

We were really pleased with the hotel. It was quiet and for the price was very clean and the staff there was very helpful. They gave us directions to the hospital which I had an appointment at. They were very polite and respectful. They gave us better instructions than trip tik gave us to get to where we were going. I would recommend this hotel to any one expecially if you need to go to the OHSU.

Good price for the stay! Friendly staff! But no elevator to the 3rd floor! You definietly have to have a car to stay here. They had a fairly good breakfast spread... had an option for being a vegetarian (fruits, i.e. bananans, apple and oranges) but if you are picky you can certainly buy fruits from grocery and store them in the fridge. They provides a fridge and microwave and had access to laundry which is great when you travel and are picky with your food. Huge parking space. But the internet connection is so weak, I hope they fix it... they were doing that when I was there.. but never got to see if it worked, for I already left!

The reception staff were friendly and helpful but the motel itself was not particularly good. It was very basic. Everything had been pared down to the minimum. The only amenities in the room were a phone and a fridge - no iron/ironingboard, hairdryer or even toiletries (all had to be specially requested). The carpet and upholstery were stained and the room had a stale smell, all of which did not help to reassure regarding the standard of cleanliness. However the poor quality sheets and thin, skimpy towels all appeared to be clean as did the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and would stay again only if there was nowhere else avaialable.

This was a great place to stay, at a very affordable price. The staff were friendly and the room was very nice.

We stayed here on a visit to see my sister. The Aladdin was very conveniently located for us and the price was definitely right! Friendly staff and standard continental breakfast of coffee, tea and muffins was included in the low rate. The room was clean but spare. It had a small fridge and microwave which was a plus for an extended stay. We would stay here again on the next trip.

For a 2.5 star hotel, it's pretty good. Clean & quiet room, that's all i needed. Just stayed for one night.

This motel has been renovated and the owners are trying to make a positive connection with guests. The outside has been renovated nicely with wood features. The inside is mostly renovated with new tub liners. Furniture is basic with a simple 19" TV and a small refrigerator that worked quite well. The breakfast was good continental style with oatmeal, muffins, bagels, and toast. Orange juice and decent coffee were nice in the morning. Motel staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Good, basic place to stay near downtown at half the price.
