Everyone very helpful and friendly nothing was to trouble

comfortable ...quiet ...and good service .

We just stayed at the Duke's Head for one night but really enjoyed it. It's well located and has been refurbished to high standards - behind the old facade, there's a modern building! The only draw back was the heating: when we got there the room was cold and it took ages to get the temperature of the room to a pleasant level (never got to our ideal).

enjoyable stay . Still work going on with the lifts .

This was the second time I stayed at the Dukes Head on business in the last two weeks and I found the hotel excellent value and I would not hesitate booking this hotel in the future.

Central location. Recently refurbished. Reasonable rates.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Kings Lynn close to the main shopping area and amenities. The refurbishment has been to a very high standard, we stayed in the 'new' part in a nicely-furnished room that was clean and well-prepared. The hotel staff without exception were pleasant and helpful. Only minor grumble was the noise level in the restaurant at breakfast - wooden floor, much scraping of chairs mainly by the staff clearing away. Breakfast excellent with extra choices for a modest suplement. Loo9k forward to staying there again.

We were very happy with our stay. The original building was full of character and well maintained, we thought it was good value for money and very comfortable. Staff were also very helpful, informative and friendly.

Excellent quality hotel for a visit to Kings Lynn, right in the centre of the town and close to everything you need. A previous stay at this hotel about 15 years ago wasn't bad but wasn't exactly memorable, 15 years on this quality and service at this hotel has improved in leaps and bounds with well maintained and clean rooms. The restaurant is a highlight and not too expensive, the room only booking was very cheap compared to my usual business stays in central London, overall we got excellent value for money, if this hotel were anywhere else it would be a lot more money for a stay. If I was being picky the only thing we could find to complain about was a regular noise coming from somewhere in the town which might have come from the docks or something nearby but it didn't disturb us overnight, it was more the puzzle of what exactly was causing it.

Good location and great staff.

Very good but speed of Turners Restaurant could be better (although wedding held at the same time Sat 4th August.

Great hotel and much better than I had expected. Would stay there again if we were ever in the area.

Really lovely hotel. Looks a bit rough from behind where the car park was, but as soon as you go round to the front it was really beautiful. Really helpful staff, with lovely rooms and a fantastic restaurant. We had some issues with the surrounding area, as there was a concert going on in the main square on the night of our stay, and a lot of police presence, as there was a protest due that evening, but once the hotel staff came to our rescue to let us in to the hotel they were very accomodating. Very nice stay.

We recently stayed for one night at the Dukes Head Hotel. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. It is perfectly located in the Market Square. Would love to see if when the renovation of the Hotel is complete.

Although the hotel is still a building site, the hotel room we stayed in was modern, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is ideal, being in the centre of town with the shops and sights very accessible. The breakfasts were also very good, with a choice of a cooked meal being offered (and accepted!)

The Hotel is situated on the Tuesday Market Square, which is central to the shopping district. There is good parking in the Hotel's own car park, for which no extra charge is made. It is near to the River Great Ouse, and there are many decent pubs nearby. The Hotel is in the process of a major refurbishment, and I was given one of the refurbished bedrooms at the rear of the Hotel. It was excellent, though it was a long walk back to the reception area and restaurant. The staff were all most helpful, and courteous.

Because hotel is the ddle of refurbishment some of the features had been removed i.e. no rail in wardrobe and no hangers but this was rectified. Five flights of stairs nearly killed us. Car park is inadequate particularlly when they have a function on had a job to park and in was quite a way to reception.
