Aston at Kuningan suites - جاكارتا

This a a well laid out service-apartment hotel, with generous rooms and common areas. Staff were always helpful. The place is undergoing refurbishment at the moment, so some floors and the rooftop gym, etc were closed off. We had a 'refurbished' room, which had excellent space and fittings. Cleanliness was an issue, however, as the place was very large and with only one steward to clean daily for the whole floor (our rooms alone had a large living/dining area, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, 2 balconies and a kitchen) it was clear that daily cleaning could only be superficial. I had to pull out a sidetable to plug in my laptop, and the dust and debris behind there was disconcerting. I have to mention that the bed, pillows/covers and light duvet were clean and incredibly comfortable. The surroundings were green, quiet and safe, but a bit far from most places one would need to get to.Staff were great.

Let me start by saying that the staff was very nice. However, the hotel did not live up to its pictures. I'm sure it was a very nice place 10-15 years ago, but now the rooms are dated, the art, carpets, and paint in the hallways are old, and there was a stagnant smell throughout. My (albeit-spacious) "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke, and the furniture was old and worn. Also, although I recognize that Indonesia is a tropical place with plenty of insect life, I'd rather not find ants in every room in my suite... Definitely not a 4-star place. I won't be back.

Overall satisfied with everything, especially room size. If you have children, the 1-2 bedroom sites ideal. Breakfast has wide choices. Rooms are clean and service were quite good. The only downside was despite 3 requests the hotel ignored our request to fix the bathroom which was flooding even when the sink tap was turned on. After 5 days stay manager declined our request to a 1-hour late check-out. So, this aspect was very disappointing. There is no decent restaurant in walking distance but plenty within short taxi ride. Family was happy with the rooms and comfort with two tvs in two rooms. So, aside from Manager's poor responsibility, hotel is well worth for the money.

although the price was not high, the room was huge for 2 people! the room has one queen size bed room, 2 single size bed room, huge living room and the kitchen. staffs are very friendly and give us good service. buffe style breakfast was good too. things people might not like are that the location is far from sightseeing spots and the room has so many mosquitos (maybe it is because the room was on second floor) . but overall it was good place to stay; especially, for long stay.

I had an excellent stay at the Kuningan Suites. The only problem was the taxi driver who did not know the "ASTON" Kuninghan Suites since the name Aston is not on the hotel front. It is known as the "Kuninghan Suites". The Hotel restaurant "Pastis" is well known and serves good meals including a very good breakfast; the restaurant might have interest in getting a toaster for the bread in the morning. My stay was very nice and I will be back again.
