Riad Cherrata - مراكش

We stayed here for one night but we loved it. It was close to the city center and the owner went above and beyond to help us. When we arrived we sat down with her as she walked us through Marrakesh as a city, giving us her personal maps and recommendations for restaurants and sites. She also provides you with a mobile phone so that you can contact her at any time if you have a problem. If it wasn't for her help and tips we would have been scammed of money by traders and street performers. The rooms are clean and well kept. Its very much different than your traditional hotel but different in a good way. Its very central and only about a 6 minute walk to the central square. Basically we could not recommend this hotel more if we tried.

I have to say that the time spent in this Riad was AMAZING!!! Valerie (the owner) spent a couple of hours with us explaining everything about Marrakech. She made us feel family from the moment we arrive to the Riad. The Riad has a very convinient location (about 10min walk from the main square) and is very relaxing, stylish and clean. I highly recommend to stay there to everyone!!!! Perfect!!!! Ricardo (London)

What a fabulous find - an intimate, boutique riad in the heart of Marrakech's bustling medina. The rooms are well-thought out, fabulous shower-rooms and very comfortable beds with beautiful crisp linen. The owner, Valerie, is fantastic - her insight into the local area is so valuable, with suggestions of where to go, what to eat and buy, along with hand drawn maps to guide you through the maze of the mysterious medina. Very good value too - the breakfast will take your breath away!

This is a perfect base for exploring the Medina. Valerie and her team are the perfect hosts. We had tables booked, taxis arranged, maps drawn, delicious food and much more. If we are back in Marrakesh in the future we will definitely be staying here. Wonderful!

I never comment on this pages but this riad worst the time, is great the owner is lovely and the breakfast home made is fantastic. 100% recomendable

Riad Cherrata is truly beautiful and so tranquil. The service from Valerie, the owner, was impeccable. She spent an hour when we arrived taking us through a map of Marrakech pointing out anything of interest and explaining the best places to eat, drink, shop etc. She even hand drew us an additional map to make sure we would not get lost in the medina! We even conatcted Valerie a few days after we had left the Riad to ask for her help to book into a spa which she did for us with pleasure. The breakfast was delicious, the bedroom was clean and very comfortable and the whole place is so calming and quaint. We will definitely be going back!

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location. Owner/Operator was extremely helpful with things to see and directions around the city. Room accomodations are small but clean and comfortable. Would definetly recomend.

I can't fault our stay at Riad Cherrata, it is a stunning riad and Valerie is a generous and helpful host, she helped to organise us bus tickets, taxis and dinner reservations and really bent over backwards to ensure our time in Marrakech was enjoyable. The rooms were impeccable, gorgeous communal areas provided to relax and even a stunning roof terrace where we were given the most sumptuous breakfasts cooked and prepared by an in house chef. I am still dreaming of the home made jams, home made yoghurt and Moroccan pancakes. At night candles were lit and lanterns turned on to provide a real oasis in the middle of bustling Marrakech. I really can't wait to return!

Accueil très chaleureux de valérie ( la proprietaire). Elle nous a donné des explications sur Marrakech, très pertinentes. Le riad est magnifique, bien décoré, et d'une propreté impecable. N'hésitez pas à y manger, Saadia (la cuisinière) vous préparera un excellent diner. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir

Meget elskverdig vertskap som står på pinne for deg hele oppholdet. Ble utstyrt med deres mobiltelefon og fikk all informasjon og hjelp vi trengte. Koselig og intim riad med stor vekt på renslighet og velvære. Kun 4 gjesterom, stor frokost bestående for det meste av syltetøy og pannekaker. Den ble servert akkurat når man selv ønsker det. 15 minutters gange inn til senteret av medinaen, en spasertur som er like spennende og eksotisk hver gang. Dette hotellet ligger i medinaen som er den gamle delen av Marrakesh og dermed kan oppleves som fattig og "middelaldersk" i forhold til bydelen utenfor medinaen. Ikke desto mindre er det nettopp her i medinaen det eksotiske Marrakech befinner seg.
