Many food outlets nearby which close late. Closeby to JR & Keisin train stations.

If you don't like cigarette smoke, this is not the hotel for you because smokers and non-smokers are put on the same floor, so the odor comes through the vertical sides of the door, therefore putting a towel at the bottom of the door won't block the odor. Older hotels such as this one, do not find it cost-effective to hardwire the Internet connection, and this hotel's unencrypted wireless connection was slow and often dropped the connection. There was a stagnant odor in the bathroom, most probably from the shower curtain. The staff was very efficient and courteous, but spoke limited English. There are no convenience stores nearby, so you have to go to the station which is also a shopping center. If you don't have a suitcase, this hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the JR station, and about 10 minutes if you have to wheel a suitcase along your side.

I was a sole female traveller to Tokyo. The location of the Hotel was fantastic (right near Ueno Station). The area felt safe and there was lots to do. My room was exceptionally small however, it contained everything I needed and was clean. The free WiFI was fast and worked well (one of my main reasons for picking this hotel) however, you needed to obtain a new password everyday from reception which was a pain. Despite having a non smoking room, I could frequently smell smoke (I think coming through my door from the other rooms). All staff were friendly. I would stay here again just for the location and free WiFI.

First of all Ueno is a fantastic location to stay in due to it being a major transportation hub in Tokyo. This hotel was a five minute walk to the stations and made getting around Tokyo very easy for me. The hotel was clean and my room was cleaned to a good standard daily. The staff were friendly although I'm not sure if they speak good English as I speak Japanese well enough to avoid language barriers. The room was fairly average, nothing special. You can use wi-fi in your room but the hotel has a strange policy requiring you to ask for a new password everyday. My only complaint would be that the pillow the hotel provided was not very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again but I would bring my own pillows this time. It seems to be a trend with Japanese hotels though. They only provide one pillow and it's not usually a terrifically comfortable pillow. So I would seriously suggest you consider bringing your own.

That's a good hotel, near the station, with a comfortable room.

This hotel is great in terms of cleanliness and convenience. Located only a few minutes away from Ueno station, it is easy to hop aboard local trains, subways or shinkansen to get to where you are heading. Also, the Ueno Keisei station is also nearby with easy access to Narita Airport. Rooms are a tad on the small side, but are easy to get used to. Cleanliness was perfect.

friendly staff. clean room.good location.

First time at the Ueno Terminal Hotel and loved the little place, rooms were small but comfortable, exactly what I was expecting. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cafe attached to the hotel was very good and proved to be a definite asset. Will definitely look into staying here again next time in town!!! I was traveling with my elderly Dad so we weren't sight seeing and used the hotel to recover from flight before heading on to final destination so I would've liked cable TV - for English programs.

Hotel can be easily located but isn’t well-maintained. At first night, the toilet shower (automatic spray that cleanses your bottom) had already malfunctioned, I was switched to another room the next day (but I always smell fumes inside my room after moving to the 5/F). Then at my 4th night, after flushing the toilet, the water just kept on running, making noises the whole night. I’d have asked them to fix it but it's well past midnight & I was exhausted, so I just left it till the next morning. Though a hotel staffer did help me fix it afterwards but frankly a simple verbal sorry isn’t good enough. Overall the hotel staff are all quite helpful - one helped me locate the nearest ATM online, and another helped me lift my luggage from the entrance down the road. If I do revisit Ueno, probably I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because it's poorly maintained. It's also stingy for the hotel just to provide a jar of hot water (not an electric pot for boiling water) & if you ask for a refill in the morning, then that's what you get for the remaining day, so do buy your own drinks before heading back to the hotel. Also the small fridge inside my room isn't cold enough. Having said the above, I did like having WiFi inside my room very much because even in some Japanese business hotels, there's only WiFi in the hotel common area. Just remember to ask the staff for password as it's changed every day.

The hotel was clean, tidy, well maintained, close to the train station and subway lines. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke a good standard of English (way better than my Japanese!) I'd definitely recommend to fellow travellers.

jr 우에노 및 게이세이 우에노에서 매우 가까우며 아메요코 시장이 근처라서 좋았습니다. 호텔은 저렴한 가격에 서비스나 객실의 상태는 좋았고, 커피포트가 없는것이 아쉬웠지만 가격이나 위치 서비스를 종합하면 다음번에 또 숙박하고픈 호텔입니다.

Har bott här tidigare så visste vad jag bokat. Hotellet ligger på en lugn gata några hundra meter från Ueno Station. Hit kommer man med Skyliner från flygplatsen Narita och här går anslutnigståg och tunnelbana. Mao lite av ett nav för transport. I Ueno finner man en fin park med zoo och det finns möjlighet till bra shopping och massor av restauranger. Hotellet är enkelt och inget ställe man tillbringar mer tid än att sova på. Dock rent och fräscht förutsatt att man får tag på ett tillräckligt rökfritt rum. Har bara bott i de små singelrummen.

交通方便，但地點在小巷弄內略微難找；此外，服務人員都算不錯，飯店的盥洗用品中潤絲精特別好用，房間雖然小，但該有的都有.

Good location - minutes to Ueno station Good service - English is bad but attitude is good and willing to help. Room - small and basic and old. Bad sewage smell and have to turn exhaust fan on all day. But for the price, still acceptable. Good if u just looking for a place to sleep and leave the luggage. Don't expect anything else.

飯店非常乾淨/服務人員都很親切/房內也有提供wifi十分便利/搭乘東京metro銀座線交通便利/飯店治安都很安全

離上野站很近，交通方便，附近店家很多不愁沒東西吃...飯店人員很友善，房間也很乾淨，但偶而會聞到一股煙味...

Chambre un peu petite (mais nous sommes au Japon) avec un équipement un peu limité mais bon service

位置很好!!服務人員也很親切,客房也很乾淨,唯一的缺點應該就是客房煙味比較重,如果不吸菸的人比較不適合..

교통편리하고 우에노 역과 미술관하고 가까워서 이동 편리 했습니다.

I like that the room is very clean and the room size is acceptable. I have stayed at more expensive but smaller room in my previous Japan trip before, so I won't complain about the room size here. And of course the location, perfect for travelling around and taking the Keisei Line to and from the airport. I will stay in this hotel again.

價格相宜,連續住宿有優惠~行出街口竟然見到tokyo skytree個塔尖,可惜臨走先發現~如使用skyliner+1/2日任搭metro,好好用!!附近就有metro站~雖然房係細小小,check-in果層又無斜坡~一個人唔介意房間殘d,配套ok,staff英文可以,有wi-fi,附近有便利店,有幾間24小時食店,但房入面無水煲,無支裝水提供~

位於上野站旁 3分鐘的腳程，十分方便。 酒店不遠處，約100m前，便有便利店。 只是設施十分一般，但用作簡單的休息地，可算是理想的！

酒店位置方便，就近JR及京城上野及地鐵站，附近也是著名的AME橫，購物便利，食店林立，酒店整潔令人滿意，酒店亦設有西餐廳及日本料理，客房基本設備齊全，以同類酒店而言不算狹窄，方便經濟！

飯店內的設備很齊全，服務人員也很親切，而且交通也很方便，當真的入住後比我事先預想的還要滿意。

首要原因是位置交通便利，离JR山手线上野站很近，离京成线也很近。但这个酒店本身只能说一般，估计东京这个价位都这个样子

Great location, but too small room. Only 30cm wide space beside bed to move around.
