Tokyo Kiba Hotel - طوكيو

I think this capsule hotel says they have AC but that is a pretty farfetched statement. They had one little AC unit in the hallway of each floor with around 20-30 capsules on each floor. When you close your screen too the AC doesn't even get into your capsule. As I am usually pretty warm anyways, I would never stay here again because I couldn't sleep. If you are planning on staying here just make sure you dont get too warm easily. Other than that difficulty I would have loved staying here.

We loved staying at Kiba Hotel, the staff were terrific and extremely polite could understand English and were very helpful. I would highly recommend staying there to my family and friends in the future and we are definatley going to go back and stay in the capsule hotel in the near future.

Anyone looking at this hotel is clearly not considering a luxury stay, and that is probably a good thing. This hotel has the most basic facilities, a locker to put your stuff in, communal showers and a capsule to stay the night. Very useful for a budget stay in Tokyo where luxury is not the aim. Be aware that locker space is small and it is cumbersome to be lugging armfuls of clothes from the locker to the communal shower area. But we got a good night's sleep and it didn't hurt our wallets too much!

We stayed in a semidouble capsule. Location of the hotel was good, right next to the Kiba metro station, easy to find. Staff were friendly, we were given an indepth tour of the hotel. Wifi only in lounge area. The only negative aspect was the locker was not big enough for our luggage, it is only for your valuables. Your luggage was kept in the lounge area by the front desk so your stuff ended up being spread out in 3 locations. My 6'4 tall husband said his feet were right to the end of the capsule. Good experience overall.

It is perfect for the price! It is 1 min walk next to Kiba station which is well located. When we got there, the staff were very friendly and greeted us well. Also, it was our first time experiencing the capsule and it was good. We had a locker to put our personal stuff. And the capsule (semidouble) were bigger than expected. They also gave us slippers and a pyjama. Overall, it is pretty good for the price and I would recommend it for backpackers.

This hotel was great! We stayed in a 2 person capsule which I've never seen before. It was comfortable and the staff were friendly and spoke English well enough. My only complaint is I wish the shower room were bigger, space for only 2 to shower at a time and then in the room with the vanities, when there was a crowd in the morning we were tripping over each other. Oh and the rude other guest who started talking just outside our capsule at about 6am, but that's not the hotel's fault that's just inconsiderate European travelers. It's really close to a subway stop, and across the street from a mall with lots of restaurants. We stayed there the weekend we were going to Ueno for cherry blossoms.

.....the subway takes you anywhere. The place is nice with friendly stuff and definitely clean. Best budget place to stay

My husband and I stayed here together in one of their double capsules. He's about 6'3 and he said he slept pretty good. There was enough room for both of us everything was very clean. A little hard to find but we finally found it. Its directly behind Kiba exit 4b don't cross any streets its on that same street. Womens bathroom was really small but not a big deal for me.

Good location, easily accessible, located behind Kiba station. Hotel staff very helpful although limited English. Definately recommend to visitors to Tokyo to experience a capsule hotel! We where visiting from Australia and loved it!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel, and it was pretty much perfect for us! The hotel is right beside the metro making it easy to get to all of the cities districts for shopping, sightseeing, eating and drinking... The actual capsules are small, but comfortable, basic and clean. The staff were kind and helpful, providing us with clean towels and traditional pyjamas and slippers every night. The separate sex, communal bathrooms were supplied with all sorts of pampering goodies, a large hot bath, showers and talking toilets. Staying in a capsule hotel was a cheap and memorable experience, the weekends were a bit noisy but that's to be expected!

Tokyo Kiba Hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a capsule hotel with the added benefit of allowing women. One thing to be aware of is that the bathroom facilities for women are much much smaller than for men and so some queuing may be required.

Kiba Hotel is a good option for travelers who would like to get the unique experience of staying at a capsule hotel. I walked to this hotel from the city center - it is an easy and nice one-hour walk from the Tokyo Station - but for those not inclined to walk, I believe there is a subway station just one block away. This hotel has capsules of different sizes, and for taller/bigger people I would recommend the semi-double capsule size to give yourself a bit of an extra space. It is also a good idea to use an mp3 player with headphones to block the outside noise while falling asleep :) The hotel staff was helpful in explaining the rules and specifics of staying at a capsule hotel. I addition to capsules, I think this hotel also has regular rooms. Just on the opposite side of the street, there is a big mall with a good choice of restaurants; at least one of them opens very early and has a good choice of breakfast food. To sum it up, nice and clean capsule hotel and good location.

I recently went for a week in Tokyo and was searching an hotel suitable for me as I wanted be able to explore freely the city as a photographer. At the same time I wanted to discover the real way of living of Japanese people, and experience the 'capsule' hotel. On arrival, I was given my locker key, some kimono, pant, slippers and towels and explained how works the capsule system. After changing myself in the locker room, I could use the well equiped bathroom, including showers, sauna and jacuzzi. After a long day of walk in Tokyo taking pictures everywhere, it was quite enjoyable to relax in the bubble jacuzzi set at 41 degres. Shower and go to bed in the cosy capsule. Each capsule includes a small TV, an internet cable ( for those who dont have a laptop to connect on the cable but use a "pad" as me, bring a portable router to connect on the cable, as this will give you wireles that is missing there ) The only wireless which is available is only useable if you have a Japanese phone provider contract, thing that you dont have as a tourist visitor) In overall, this turned out to be quite enjoyable experience. Subway 'KIBA' on the T line is about 100 meters away. This gives you a connection with the "G" Ginza line, and best solution for the first comers is to take a day pass on the JR line ( 730yen for 24 hours) Advantage of the JR Yamanote circular line is that it is not a subway, but external line, so you can see where you would like to stop. About the environment of the hotel location, there is a 'family mart' at the exit of the subway ( 24 hours shop where you can buy some food or others). Crossing the street you get a large 'mall' Itoyokado with all the shopping you might need from clothing to food ( open till 0900 PM) I would recommend Kiba hotel for any Tokyo visitor looking for a practical and economical way of visiting Tokyo. Shall, I will return ? Yes, no hesitation.

This is my first time staying in a capsule hotel so I wasn't expecting much. Indeed, it is much better that what I have expected in the first place. The capsule was clean and tidy, the room where all the capsule are was really worm. The most impressive feature of this hotel is the bath at 3rd floor, which is a traditional Japanese bath: A big common shower area and a big bath. Japanese people took the shower at the common shower area and go into the giant bath. Of course, male and female bath are separated. If you don't mind taking shower with some other Japanese people, this hotel will be a good place to experience Japanese bath culture. Kiba station is near by. Despite Kiba is not very close to city centre but the subway is very convenient in Tokyo. And there was a big department store near by the hotel. It's a really nice and quiet place to stay.

We were not expecting much of a capsule hotel, but felt like being in Tokyo, we had to try it out! We did not regret it either. Our capsule was big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. There is only a curtain to close the capsule, no door, so it can get noisy at night; earplugs are a must. The bathroom is nice and clean, and it has everything, from soap to face wash and lotion. There is a bathroom for men and one for women, but note that there is no private shower room; everyone showers together. Apart from that fact, we were happy with our stay and would go there again.

Hvis man er i Japan skal man næsten prøve at sove på et capsule hotel. Det er hyggeligt, og på kiba hotel har de fantastiske badefaciliteter, dog ikke til piger. Men dog skal man ikke bo der i for mange dage, da det nemt bliver klaustrofobisk at ligge i så ligge et rum.

A tester lors d'un séjour au Japon. Tarif imbattable pour Tokyo. La capsule semi-double est finalement assez spacieuse, même pour 2 personnes de grande taille.Salle de bain et toilettes communes très propres. Pyjamas, serviettes et pantoufles fournis. Attention, la capsule n'a pas de "vraie" porte, mais un rideau en bambou...ne pas oublier ses bouchons d'oreille pour une nuit tranquille !!! Excellent accueil.

風呂の出入り口にしっかりとした扉が欲しいです。ロッカーと寝室が違う階にあるため、荷物の管理がしづらかったです。それ以外は特に問題無く利用できました。

Highly anticipated visit to my first stay at a capsule hotel. Stayed with my wife in one of the deluxe cabins, which was located on the 5th floor. The cabin itself was large enough to allow both of us to get a good night's sleep, the only flaw would be that the A/C on our floor wasn't functioning properly making it a bit too warm. Nice SPA/relaxtion area with showers, jacuzzi etc on the 3rd floor. I have to mention the location as well, as the hotel is located at a pleasant one minute walk from nearest subway station. Would def recommed this place

カプセルホテルの利用が初めてで心配していましたが、とても快適でした。お風呂の排水が悪く汚水が溜まっていたので改善してください。そのほかはとても良かったです

とにかく、カプセルなるものに初めて宿泊しましたので、他と比較が出来ません。「こんなものかあ？」ということにとどまります。応対は丁寧で、好印象をもちました。

Kul att prova på kapsel-boende. Vi bodde ett par i en dubbel-kapsel, vilket inte så många erbjuder. Hotellet ligger i en lite avsides/ruffig del nära vägviadukter. Det ligger dock nära en tunnelbanestation vilket gör det relativt smidigt att ta sig till/från. Det fanns en badavdelning för män/kvinnor med jacuzzi som man kan nyttja utan extra kostnad. Männens del lite större och bättre än kvinnornas.

The hotel was so great that we returned there later during our trip in Japan. The cost was really low in comparison to the quality and cleaniness of the hotel. I wouldnt undoubtetly recommend it to anyone who want to experience a Capsule hotel. I myself will go back there next year again! Truly an amazing hotel! They even gave me a free sample of the schampoo they used in the hotel since i liked it and couldnt find anywhere to buy it!

Welcome in hotel was nice and informative. Capsules were good for couples. Bathroom for men was big, with big shared bath. Bathroom for women was smaller. Breakfast for 500 yen was OKish.

Vi blev positivt överraskade, kapseln för två är väldigt rymlig och personalen är trevlig men kan väldigt lite engelska. Det bästa med det här hotellet är det gemensamma badutrymmet med bubbelpool, mycket trevligt. Madrasserna i kapslarna är ganska obekväma dock.

Relaxed atmosphere, nice and clean, the bubble pool facilities is a little old but okay, polite personnel. It's fun to try a capsule hotel, and i can tell it's a little inconvenient. Anyway great that it is possible for couples to stay.

Great stay. Surprisingly comfortable to stay in a capsula. We had a semi-double capsula for 3 nights, and we loved it! Lots of graet sushi-places between Kiba and Montzen-Nakacho.

Cercano al centro de Tokyo y al metro Kiba de facil acceso, el servico es muy malo.

메인도로에서 약간 벗어나 있는 곳에 위치하긴 했지만 전철역 앞에 바로 위치하고 있어 찾아가기도 편하고 가격도 저렴하여 주머니가 넉넉치 않은 여행객들에겐 딱인듯 합니다 단, 조그만 호텔이다 보니 스텝들의 언어가 딱 일어에 한정되어 있다는 점이 좀 불편하긴 하나 가격 생각하면 그정도는 충분히 감수할 만합니다.

Мы решили поставить на себе эксперимент и взяли номер в отеле. На двоих. Гостиница практически пустая. Это, наверное, нас спасло. Не представляю себе, что бы мы делали, если бы все капсулы были заняты... Менеджмент отеля приятно удивил. Наш компьютер отказался работать, так выдали бесплатно свой. В капсуле есть интернет. Wi-Fi отсутствует. Хорошая большая джакузи с сауной, но для мужчин. У женщин сауны нет. В общем, попробовать стоит. Ничего страшного в капсульном отеле нет!

It is a cheap capsule hotel, with all advantages and drowbacks. But it is very close to the "Kiba metro station", and it has a direct line to the main JR railway station. And it is also very close to a "huge" supermarket, where you can buy anything you need. (food, presents, clothes...)
