Camera House - Guest house - بلفاست

For my trip, the Camera House was perfect. Conveniently located and the hostess was incredibly helpful and generous. The room was comfortable and clean. Definitely recommend!

The location was nice. The service was good. On our tour of the murals we learned why the name is Camera House, this would be nice to include in info in the room, to give tourists a feel for the house being special.

Stayed for one night, bree and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and very informative. Breakfast was delicious, will definitely go back.

Overall I enjoyed my stay, with very pleasant and helpful hosts. The hotel generally was perfectly acceptable, with a lovely dining room and excellent breakfast Some parts of the hotel needed a little updating as it was showing signs of age and wear, but overall very warm and comfortable. Very good value for money, compared to similar accommodations, with lots of on street parking and close to all local amenities, bars, restaurants etc.

I have to say I'm very impressed by Camera House! Clean, friendly owners/staff, right across from the university. I had booked a cheapo room for the weekend, with no ensuite and they kindly bumped me up for free as they had a posher place empty that weekend. They offered a nice breakfast in the morning, and the place seemed secure.

Close to the city center (15 min walk). Plenty of pubs & cafes around the B&B. Big bright room. Would stay again.

It is a lovely guesthouse, perfect and very friendly.

when we arrived room was freezing,radiator off, no heater in bathroom remember it was 30th nov,breakfast was ok although cooked breakfast arrived while we were eating our cereal,the plumbing was very loud,especially during the night,wont stay there again.

Warm, fast wifi, clean, good value. Need I say more? I'm not a tourist but to those interested I think this is near enough to the city centre so it's all round thumbs up from me.

Enjoyed my stay here. Great breakfast. Creaky old floors. Great staff especially the woman who serves breakfast and cleans the rooms. She's a delight! Nice quiet street. Some loud punters coming home in the wee hours. Near the Ulster Museum. Easy 15 minute walk to City Centre.

Lady that let us in etc. was really really lovely. We stayed there 2 nights and slept very well! 15 min walk to Belfast centre! Would def. reccomend

Staff were lovely, and the place overall was spotless. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, and the hours during which it was served were reasonable. My single room had a sink, television, dresser, nightstand, and plenty of outlets. Noise from the road was minimal. However, the shared bathroom was abused by other guests (shower broken because they couldn't figure out how to use it), and the hallway floors in a building of that age are quite creaky. Doors are rather thin, as well. Well-served to the city center by the 9A/B/C bus, but rather a long hike on foot. Tesco superstore a 10 minute walk south, various convenience stores and restaurants nearby.

Nice house; bit noisy from other guests; clean and tidy; comfortable sitting room in addition to bedrooms. Good location - handy for uni, restaurants, cinema and shops

This is a very clean, quiet and comfortable guest house, ideally situated for the University area with many local attractions and the city centre just a short walk away. The staff are very friendly and Miriam was the epitome of an excellent host. The room was spotlessly clean and well furnished, with fresh flowers adding a homely touch. Breakfast was very good too! With my son now studying in Belfast I will be visiting the city more often and would definitely stay here again!

Nice guesthouse, lovely breakfast,we will go back

The house is in the university area, which is relatively clean, safe and quiet; it is a bit f a walk to the city but not unreasonable. The building itself was clean and well kept, though very cramped as there were 17 people sharing only two bathrooms and the room I was in had only enough space to literally squeeze in a single bed, the end of which the door brushed when opened. Although the sink in the room was a nice idea so I did not have to wait ages for the bathroom to brush my teeth, it kept my away part of the night with the drain pipes gurgling. Breakfast was standard Irish fare, though the soda bread was a bit disappointing. Overall, not really a bed and breakfast experience, more of a hostel feel. Disappointing.

Nice hotel, good location, shame that the windows didn't open. Nice friendly and helpful staff, and good breakfast!

Everyone is more than willing to offer advice on where to go and what to see, and they will even call to set up tours for you. The rooms were very clean, although could use a bit of maintenance (the hot water in my tap didn't work part of the time), but it's nothing that hinders a great experience. The location is great if you want to explore the area around Queen's University, and the street is quiet and residential, which is good for a peaceful night's sleep. Excellent customer service, free wifi (which works very well) and the breakfast was wonderful! I can say I would stay here again without a doubt!

You couldn't hope to find a more accommodating and friendly couple as Danny and Miriam - they both made me feel very welcome and at home. The breakfast rivalled those provided by the budget hotel chains (including fresh cafetiere coffee, not instant coffee!). The hotel's in a good location, just minutes away from Queen's University, the Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens, and there's a main bus route that will take you straight into the city centre. Definitely worth a stay!

very friendly and most helpful. lovely spacious house and comfortable clean bright rooms. There's a big bright airy sitting room with comfy sofa's and armchairs you can relax in. good value for money. on the map it seems a fair distance to walk to town but it's a mere fifteen minute walk. The botanical gardens are just around the corner and a walk through them leads you to the bankside of the River lagan. The ulster museum situated in the botanical gardens is well worth a visit. I went for the weekend to see the new titanic musuem and it's outstanding. i aslo recommend gerry's belfast bike tours. Just cycle down the river lagan into beautiful woods and green pastures.

I would heartily recommend this guest house. Even though I arrived late, the welcome was nice. The room was comfy. Breakfast was included, and was very good. They owners let me leave my bags after I had checked out, whilst I wandered round town. Next time I visit Belfast with my kids in tow, we will definitely stay here.

I was only there for aound 14 hours as I had an early plane to catch. he room was very cold and the owners offered me an additional heater for the room to keep warm. The owners were lovely and helpful. Very close to the museum and a 10 minute walk from the Europa bus station.

Perfectly situated within walking distance of the city centre and also the beautiful Lagan Meadows area and the University. Friendly owners and comfortable room. Also very good value for money.

This B&B was comfortable and cosy. The owner Miriam was very welcoming and friendly offering information about where to go and what to see. she provided me with a map and helped me with bags. they even kept mine while I went on a day trip!. The hotel itself is a 5 minute or 15 minute walk from the city centre and right next to the Queens Uni area which has theatres, pubs, restaurants to suit all budgets and a safe atmosphere. I was even able to have breakfast when I missed it by oversleeping. The breakfast was delicious and filling for the whole day. I was able to reach the bus station and two train stations by walking. It was safe to return to late at night. There was no time restriction and the room had tea, a comfy warm bed and ensuite. If you want a budget but clean and comfortable place in Belfast that is just shy of the centre then I cannot recommend Camera highly enough and I am plannign to stay here again.

Between Lisburn and Malone Roads -both lead into central Belfast. More frequent buses on the Lisburn Rd. Buy a day ticket on 1st bus you board-better value. This accommodation is near to City Hospital rail station -direct rail connection to and from Belfast City --George Best, Sydenham-- Airport . The airport rail station Sydenham. is by free shuttle bus to and from the airport.

Nice and good Value for people who would like to pop in to Belfast just for day fix relations with US. Beside is close to city and all attractions.

I was led to believe by the description on this site that I would have a private bathroom, but all bathrooms seemed to be in the halls and shared with other people. The rest was fine, apart from the fact that our bath towels were not changed during our three night stay..

This was a great guest house experience. I was greeted and well taken care of. The full Irish breakfast was outstanding. I recommend this place to anyone.

As an American first-timer in Ireland, Danny and Maryam made me feel right at home. They also went out of their way to help me out with arranging a short-notice cab tour and other favors. The accomodations are warm-feeling and welcoming, not overly fancy but very clean and comfortable. They serve up a delicious Irish breakfast too. Wonderfully friendly folks and an excellent place to stay to get a true feel for the city.

I stayed 2 nights and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Bathroom was very small and not well ventilated but apart from that, everything was very good. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I should have spotted this when I booked, but several of the cheaper rooms don't have en suite bathrooms/WCs. It wasn't a real problem, but some may find it unsuitable

Camera House is located conveniently close to the centre of Belfast, and is easily accessible on foot, providing a chance to see the local area up close. Staff are very welcoming. Breakfasts are perfect. Beds are comfortable. The neighbour is quiet. Well worth a trip!

I spent a one night stopover here recently and was very happy with my choice. Bedroom was small but clean and comfortable, bathroom was tasteful and the downstairs rooms were cosy and relaxing-beautifully decorated. Breakfast was satisfying and the hosts were friendly. Close to the cosmopolitan Lisburn Road and the Ulster Museum. City centre only a short bus ride or 15 minute walk away. Recommended.

I stayed in Camera House with my mother & sister for a girlie weekend. We were met ,on arrival by a very friendly hostess. Our room was a triple bedded one on the top floor. The decor was slightly old fashioned but comfortable & we all slept well. Other reviewers have commented that this room is cold but, as it was a mild weekend, we had no problems with this. We had a lovely meal at a nearby restaurant & were able to walk back easily. Breakfast was very enjoyable with fruit, toast & a very tasty fry both mornings. Service at Camera House is excellent. The Host & Hostess were helpful but unabtrusive. Could do with a little updating but clean & comfortable & we would stay again. Thank you for the lovely weekend.

Enjoyed my stay. I will surely be back.....
