We were made to feel like royalty. Excellent food , clean room and surrounding. Just what the doctor ordered. I would go back in an heart beat.

Welcome home to Casa Virgilios! My husband and I wanted a quiet and serene place. This was it! The owner was super helpful and friendly. The beds are amazing to sleep in. The Villa was clean and beautiful. Very mexican feel. We loved wading in the swimming pool. Casa Virgilios offers a delicious brekfast, made to order. It is in a gated community of Nuevo Vallarta. It is just a busride anywhere to Puerto Valarta if you do not have a vehicle. It is also a 10 min walk to the beautiful beach, and because it is in a gated community, no sales people on the bach to bother you. That was a bonus. I will highly reccomend this place to my friends, and to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing vacation.

we always come to puerto vallarta a day or 2 ahead of our timeshare. Casa Virgillos was awesome. great rooms clean and close to resturants and in a beautiful neighborhood. we will come back.

The people, rooms, food and the whole house were lovely and left nothing to be desired. I did more walking than I had expected so the location is the only drawback, but I would rather stay here than one of the big hotels on the beach.

Excellent B&B situated in a residential area on a canal in Nuevo Vallarta. Virgilio is a gracious host and makes terrific breakfasts. The pool and grounds are clean and well maintained at all times. Beautiful setting and landscaping. It certainly exceeded our expectations, and it deserves it's #1 rating.

Beautifully decorated and well maintained compact Mexican hotel. As others have stated, the breakfast that Virgilio prepares differently every morning is quite fantastic. Everything from egg selections and sauteed vegetables to fresh cut fruit and smoothies, not to mention the traditional bean dishes and fresh corn tortillas. I can't forget the endless coffee and homemade cakes. (make sure you tip the server staff at the end of your stay) Our room was on the second floor with a king size and 2 twin size beds for our girls. The bathroom was well appointed, maybe a tad tight for the 4 of us, but hey we're on vacation. Our room had a nice little balcony, a full size fridge, microwave, sink and dishes and cutlery. There is no TV in the rooms, but on our only rainy day we plugged our media player into a nice flat screen in the common room. We brought some Downton Abbey episodes to catch up on. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away, so make sure you pack a little fold-able cooler for cervezas and sandwiches (that you've make in your kitchen). Check the sidewalk restaurant 'La Isla', great local Mexican dishes and half the cost of Fajita Republic a block away. Really glad we found Casa Virgilios, it's a gem, clean, safe and quiet. We usually time share it but couldn't get anything over New Year's, so we needed 5 more nights. This fit the bill perfectly, Thanks again Virgilio

This trip I took from Ct. to Mexico was for a medical emergency as my daughter ended up in a Mexican hospital while traveling there. I stayed at Casa Virgilios for a few days, got her out of the hospital and brought her back to the Inn to stay for another few days. Casa Virgilios was the perfect place for us & was instrumental in her healing. The owner/Inn keeper was a very compassionate, caring and helpful man who went above and beyond. His place was immaculate, peaceful & comfortable.

Really beautiful place tucked away in Nuevo. Lovely landscaped back with great pool. Comfortable homey feeling. Authentic mexican decor in rooms and throughout common areas. Homemade breakfast comes with your stay. Extremely friendly owner and staff.

A beautiful change from the busy and noisy strip of hotels on the beach. Within walking distance to the beach, golf course & high end restaurants. This high end B & B is definitely worth every penny. Huge colonial rooms, cleaner than any 5 star hotel.

Very, very nice. Much nicer than the big sterile beach hotels only a few blocks away. Highly recommended.

I believe there should be an age rating to hotels, as this is for older people. The B&B was a wonderful stay, even though the start was a bit rocky. We would recommend The Casa to anyone who wants a slower paced area and host, as well as anyone who is driving as most areas of interest are 20-30 or more minutes walking. Our host was nice and break feast was always wonderful. The B&B it's self is beautiful and well kept. This is a great peaceful pace to relax and enjoy the sunsets, and wildlife.

Had a great stay - too short - we arrived in PV a day early and found Casa Virgilios - a great find. Very nice room, lovely grounds, lots of birds, walking distance to an incredible Thai restautant! Had an incredible, cooked to order breakfast on the patio. We'll be back again!

The owner is also the chef , Virgillio. He makes an amazing breakfast each morning that will hold you over until dinner. Bed was hard though.

My Husband and I stayed here the last few days of our Honeymoon after staying in downtown Puerto Vallarta for a few days. This place was perfect. Quiet and off the beaten path of the "tourist" route of the city. There are plenty of restaurants close, and you could also make food at the house to save money (there is a small kitchen in your room and a grill and stove that are for community use). The beach is a 8 min walk away. There is public transportation nearby. And most importantly, the house is beautiful. It's clean, well kept, and everywhere you look something new will impress you. There is a pool and cabana in the backyard. Beautiful landscaping creates the illusion you're in paradise. And the made to order breakfast every morning put this place over the top. We would go back in a heartbeat, and consider bringing friends. This would be a great place for groups to stay together, have there own rooms, and still have community space. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone who loves laid-back, peaceful, beautiful vacations. This is the place to go if you want to get away from all the busyness of the day to day.

Casa Virgilios is close to a Casa Privada. It's run by a very friendly Virgilios who will quickly make you feel at home. In the morning, expect a lavish breakfast. It's not on the beach, but offers a swimming pool and hummingbirds who flock from flower to tree in his lush garden. I can highly recommend this for those who prefer personalized attention, rather than the big tourist crowds.

We had a nine-days stay at Casa Virgilio. It is the nicest place we had during our trip. The owner, Virgilio, is so pleasant, respectful, generous and friendly. His English speaking is excellent and he did always his best to serve us big breakfasts. We just had to ask what we wanted to eat. His property is like a calm paradise with pool, Jacuzzi, palapas, flowers, plants and trees. Everything was so clean, including our room which was comfortable (very good king mattress). So we warmly recommand this beautiful place.

Over the years, I have written many reviews, but this is one that I do not want to write. However, honesty compels me to post this review. I do not want anybody to know what a great undiscovered gem Casa Virgilios is, but Senor Gil deserves all the accolades I can give him. To help the readers, if you are heading down to PV to spend time closing down Senor Frogs and Carlos & Charlies (as I have in my younger days) this property is not for you. If you have kids 10 and younger, it is not child friendly. If you want to experience what living in Mexico is like, read on. The property is in a very upscale gated community (the governer has a house 2 blocks down) that is very safe. The house is on a canal and is an easy and free trolley ride to the beach (10 minutes) The grounds are spectacular, with a wide variety of plants surrounding a beautiful pool. There is a nice covered patio, as well as a bar by the pool. If you want to grill out, there is a grill available for use. Senor Gil has refurbished both the house and the grounds and the attention to detail is everywhere. All the rooms have kitchenettes and are spacious and well appointed. We were able to sleep with the windows open and each morning the amazing variety of birds singing served as our alarm clock. There is a very nice communal area, seperate bar area and huge kitchen inside. You can have as much privacy as you wish, or meet the other guests and interact at your own pace. It is truly like having your own private hacienda. Logistics: There is a 5 star Asian restaruant (the trolley has free appetizer coupons) and upscale Italian property 5 minutes away. Just around the corner is a convenience store, mom & pop taco shop, and liquor store. This makes stocking your fridge extremely easy and helps immensely with the budget. Across the street is Dona Tere, a local Mexican place with killer posole. As mentioned, there is a free tourist trolley that covers the beach area and some more restaraunts. The town of Bucerias

EL DESAYUNO MUY RICO, LA HABITACION MUY LIMPIA, EL BAÑO MUY AMPLIO Y LA CAMA MUY COMODA, LA ALBERCA MUY LIMPIA. NO HAY TV EN LAS HABITACIONES, SOLO EN LA SALA, PARA PROMOVER LA CONVIVENCIA. ¡FUE UNA MUY BUENA EXPERIENCIA!

Muy bien, aunque no estoy seguro de que sea la mejor opción para viaje de negocios. Lo seleccioné por la mezcla de ubicación y precio, pero el acceso a taxis no es tan práctico. Es una casa convertida a hotel. Excelente disposición del personal. Más recomendable para una estancia corta de descanso.

La gente en casa virgilios te hace sentir en tu casa de la playa.. La atención la comida, los deliciosos jugos de combinaciones de frutas son lo máximo.. El pan de durazno uuuf.. Lo único, recuerden imprimir un mapa para no perder el camino a este paraíso. Totalmente recomendable!!!

Helt fantastiskt litet hotell, fräscht, rymligt, massor med personlighet. Den vänliga ägaren Virgilios pratar utmärkt engelska och svarar glatt på alla frågor du kan tänkas ha, han gör också en oslagbar frukost varje morgon. Överglänste alla förväntningar!

La mejor eleccion a buen precio

Excelente lugar, ideal para descansar, nada de estres, nada de ruido, inmejorable lugar para escaparte un fin de semana y olvidarte del trabajo. La casa es divina, las habitaciones idoneamente diseñadas, la alberca, el jacuzzi, el jardín, en realidad todos los ambientes están diseñados para disfrutar, descansar y recargar baterias. No es apto para niños, pero es inmejorable para adultos. La única situación a destacar, no precisamente mala, pero un poco inconveniente, es que en los alrededores no hay ninguna playa publica, debes desplazarte a Bucerias o algun otro lugar para tirarte al sol en la bella arena de Bahía de Banderas. Pero a final de cuentas, no es tan malo, andar por ahí, ya que puedes encontrarte con alguna joyita escondida como algun restaurante no muy conocido.
