Service good, I found the bed a bit hard

Good room friendly staff easy access to Canberra

This venue has the potential to be good, however it lacks staff cohesion and enthusiasm. Service was adequate, but lacklustre and there was no hint of the desire to help. Stains on the carpets in more than one room are not the best welcome.

We found our room to be quite spacious.The security for the building was good as you needed two keys( one for the building and one for your room) .Our room was clean and comfortable, and bathroom was good but only thing wrong in bathroom was the shower head, it was a bit low and small,great as a massage on the shoulders though.Would stay there again.

Great service, the staff are very helpful. Very happy with it. Highly recommended.

We booked a standard room but to our surprise the room is like a motel rather than a hotel. Carpet is a bit smelly. Bed is a but old and need to be changed. Bfast is very standard. But we cant complain because the price is good.

I was expecting a little more from a 4 star hotel it reminded me of the dormitory blocks at UNE where the students reside. The decor in the rooms was okay however the paintings and beheads are cheap. When we returned to our room it smelt of sewerage and the area where we had to park was scary. It was poorly lit and full of pot holes. The breakfast room was very ordinary. The window over looking the pool looked like a misty film was on it and the table and chairs in the breakfast area need updating. The art on the walls looked like it was purchased from coper art. The receptionist was very helpful she moved us to another room and the breakfast was good. We got lost as the signage to the hotel is misleading we ended up in Narrundah shops we were lucky to escape from there unharmed it was like stumling into the back streets of the bronx as it turns out the hotel was only a short distance from these shops no one knew where the hotel was . Goyder is not the easiest street to find.

Clean and comfortable.

Good value overall, rooms are spacious and clean. But they need to get proper toilet paper, not the square sheets!!

I mostly enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Styles in Canberra and the few staff were great but the pictures are misleading. You arrive thinking you've booked a normal hotel only to find yourself in small brick motel blocks with minimal staffing. I work in TV but even I could not imagine what lens the hotel had used to make its pool look so vast and the building behind it gleaming and modern. In fact the pool is small without normal poolside facilties (just upright chairs) and the building behind is squat and brick. You're warned there's no-one on reception at night. That's fine but what they don't say is that sometimes no-one is on duty by day either. I had people phoning me who could not get through for more than an hour because neither the switchboard nor the reservations number was answered. My room was spotless and the bed comfortable with nice tea/coffee facilities but it looked onto a back alley. AC and shower were unusually good though no bathtub. Breakfast was fine but they don't offer lunch and the buffet dinner was expensive at $28 considering that the main dish every day was the same - rather dire pasta. You could have meat or fish but at a price. I guess prices reflect the fact that without a car you have no choice. A taxi to the nearest restaurant would have doubled the price. Helpful as they were and though I was happy with my room, I wouldn't stay there again because I resent a hotel using misleading pictures, even unintentionally.

Despite some room renovations this hotel made our brief stay in Canberra an enjoyable one. Clean modernised room, ample parking, extremely helpful wait staff and a very substantial morning breakfast. A good choice.

The hotel did everything that was expected, plus it was clean and beds were comfortable. Not mentioned by anyone is it that backs onto Capital Golf course and has a driving range nearby, which is a bonus for those into golf! It is located in a way that you would want a car to get around. However I'd apply that to Canberra in general...

This property currently appears to be under renovation. Somethings looked old and tired and others completely brand new. (our ensuite) Breakfast was overcrowded and staff could not keep up with the demand for food. There is nothing close by to walk to, shops etc. so a car is definitely needed. Rooms were quiet, however, housekeeping left a bit to be desired with hallways/entrances needing a good sweep.

This was a comfortable visit, at a very good price that included an excellent breakfast. It is located a little out of the way, but that is compensated by a quiet neighbourhood. Staff were friendly and cheerful. The pool was clean. There was a little noise in the mornings with closing doors and voices in the corridor. The room is plain, nothng fancy, but the bathroom is new.. We would go here again.

This was a very nice hotel. It was not near the University which is where we were meeting so a car was necessary. However, parking was free, breakfast was nicer than normal, and bed was good. After 10 days on the road, this was the nicest hotel and lowered my stress level.

absolutely fine. it was the cheapest at $200 for a standard double queen room. Im not sure why canberra doesnt have many of these types of rooms and i have no idea why it was $200 when its close to nothing important or should i say nothing at all ie restaurants etc. Nothing bad to say about it. Bfast was included and fine. beds are hard. thats normal. aimed at conference market i guess.

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was very convenient. Well worth the money!

Renovating hotel downstairs rooms not available when I stayed last. Busy restaurant as it is not walking distance to any restaurants. Must book or get in early! But good value for money and friendly staff.

The carpets where disgusting. They had stains all over them as big as plates. There was not any locks on doors for security. The cleaing staff would just enter the room without knocking and work around you without asking. For the price not at all good enough.

room large & comfortable,shower great could have more bench space in such a large bathroom.Only neg. restaurant was expensive.

stained carpet,mould in shower,broken shower fitting with sharp edges, no handle on shower door,100 gig of internet included in price then you pay for extra that would be fair however the second night my origional100 gig ran out and when i went to reception and they told me that it was for the duration of your stay not per night, this is very unfair also the parking was rubbish as we were 200-300 metres away from our room had to walk in pouring rain and got soaked no parking any where near room the whole stay was crap and we wont be returningin the future

Hotel Heritage - a very comfortable stay with pleasant, helpful staff. Would stay again next time we're in Canberra.

Our main problem was the noise of the hotel. It was hard to get any sleep with doors banging, people walking the corridors and talking could be heard from inside your your and the noise from the plumbing in the room above when the other guest were showing etc was terrible. The buffet was dishes were always empty and the bar service was non existant. This was our second stay at the hotel and it was the same on both occassions.

This hotel is very basic, so if you are after fancy this is not your place, but it is only about 10mins to the city centre by car and less to Manuka. It was clean but we were there when it was hot, with only aircon in the apartment living room the bedrooms were quite hot at night. Would stay here again however, cheap and clean.

The carpet was dirty. There was a lot of dust on the bedside tables and everything sitting on them. The room smelt musty and so did the corridor outside the room. We did not have towels in our room. Part of the doona cover was dirty. There was hair on the doona and in the bathroom on the floor. The TV reception was terrible. The room was also very noisy.

Staff are pleasant and hospitable. The room was clean and the internet usage certainly appreciated. It is in a good location and certainly quiet. A place I would be happy to revisit. Breakfast from 6.30 - 9 certainly caters for the traveller.

Room was spartan, cold with an enormously stained carpet. It was clean and bed was ok but bathroom was freezing as was the room on entry. Very old aircon/heater, broken vents everywhere in the room. Dirty jug but water bottles supplied free of charge. The "meals" in the restaurant were poor, child's pizza with uncooked base, god knows how old the salads were in the buffet. I don't know who assigned the four stars maybe the owner!

Hotel was value for money and reflected this due to its occupancy rate. Car park was full to overflowing and reception was busy upon arrival. Would rate as a 3 star. Bathroom had soap on tap & toilet paper but no other personal supplies. Breakfast was cheaper if paid for upon arrival but it would be wise to wait to see what was on offer the next morning as it was pretty basic and we chose to eat out at a local cafe. Would stay again on price only, but would possibly stay elsewhere if alternative and comparable were available.

Access to some hotel rooms was difficult as the carparks aren't allocated and it wasn't possible to park close to our room, which made unloading and loading the car that bit more difficult. The cleanliness of the room was okay, except one night our beds were made with stained sheets, requiring us to sleep on towels.

Ótima opção de estadia na cidade, apartamentos limpos, confortáveis e com um staff muito atencioso. Excelente opção de cafe da manha no restaurante do hotel. O hotel fica um pouco afastado do centro, porem conta com otimo sistema de transporte publico em frente ao hotel.

Nice place, however somewhat far from all attractions and shops. If you have a car, no problem, if not - think about it.

Omdat wij een zeer nette prijs betaald hebben (actie) en geupgrade zijn, hebben we prachtige kamer gehad (superior ofzo?). Motelachtige kamers zijn niet erg charmant. Als je auto hebt, op prima locatie. Ontbijt heerlijk, je hoeft niet eens bij te betalen voor English, Continental is al meer dan prima. Klein maar lekker zwembad.

部屋が異状に汚く、ｼｰﾂやまくらｶﾊﾞｰには明らかに使った後の汚れがこびり付いている状態で、とても泊まれるような状況ではない。Check Inした後15分ほど滞在し、気持ち悪くなりすぐに部屋を出た。ひどい。最低である。Hotel.comの評価が完全に間違っているのでだまされないように注意すべき。すべての点において最低のﾎﾃﾙ！！

the fecilities are really good, Rooms are clean and comfortable with a good view and good atmosphere. Warm water supply is stable. It is a good place for vacation. The place is a little bit unconvenience. If one has his own car, there is no problem for transportation. However, if go by bus, then there is one bus, No.5. the station is exactly in front of the hotel. but it takes around 30mins to travel. Surrounding area is very quiet without a lot of shops.
